Kinjo Sushi & Grill MACLEOD

This place was awesome! We showed up a bit early because the boats weren't turned on at the time, but call ahead! They'll tell you when they turn them on usually (during peak times) and you can grab sushi off the boats. Never been to a place that had this before, but I've heard of them. The menu is huge, a lot of options to choose from but it was all amazing!

Myself and my family truly enjoyed this place and we will absolutely coming back here for more!

After ordering for delivery a few times over the past year, we finally decided to drop in and we were not disappointed! Lovely dinner & ty for the Pocky for a post-dinner treat!

The sushi was good and all we had was the ones served on the boats so no waiting just went in and ate right away. Staff was friendly and they’re booking system is very up to date definitely would recommend.

Good quality sushi with good service. Their ready to go packs are a great deal, especially after 8: 30 p.m. Which is just before closing.

Business lunch meeting.lots of incorrect items came.across from the kitchen seemed disorganized lots of clutter everywhere.

I've always had a great experience with this place. Had heard that they had removed the carousel but replaced it. Happy now.

They don't have any real different and innovative sushi but it still hits the spot when you are craving.

The squid legs are really good when it is done right. Sometimes it is a bit soggy.

We were looking for a late evening sushi place. This place was a great fit to satisfy our cravings. Atmosphere was great, quick service and amazing food. If you come here, situate yourself along the sushi bar and watch them skillfully make your meal.

I came here a little late, near closing time (which I do not recommend doing) but they still took my order and I appreciate the time and hospitality when restaurants do this. They also gave me a box of pocky, which was also a pleasant surprise. Definitely recommend and will be coming back again.

Edit: came back again for dine in. Was a fun experience with the floating conveyor belt service in the middle of the restaurant. Soy sauce here is a little salty for typical sushi soy sauce. Most of the food we ordered was good, but the Cowboy Oshizushi was just weird and didn't really taste like much. As we were paying, the server gave everyone pocky except me, which was kind of awkward and just an uncomfortable lasting impression. For these reasons I dropped my rating down to 4 stars.

The food was okay when I went there and lack some flavour. Our waiter also gave us a cup with black lining/stuff at the bottom of the cup.

I went here on my birthday to pick up my freebie that Kinjo gives out when you download the "Stamp Me" app and add your points everytime you eat at Kinjo and other places. I was given so much hassle from the front desk and the manager when I wanted to take my freebie home. They told me I couldn't do it as I had to dine in and then I pointed out that the app didn't have any restrictions as compared to the previous years and they lifted the restrictions partly due to covid. I didn't feel comfortable dining in due to covid and with my birthday being within the partial Covid restriction dates.

I understand the company side of things where they want you to dine in but at the same time they should still respect their customers especially when you buy so much sushi from them.

So thank you for letting me do that for this year. I appreciate it!

Ordered twice this week for game night in with the family. The service and food is stellar! We really love it. Delivery and pick up both packed well and served hot. Lots of condiments and loads of wasabi for those that use lots. Cute little toys to grab for the kids. In person pickup during covid was well done. Super fast and friendly. Definitely a new fave.

Love the boats and the Sushi is as fresh as on the coast! I have been coming here since it opened in 2005 I think and has always remained a favorite for sashimi and service.

The rolls taste the same as the ones that are pre-made and sold on shelves. Been here twice (once pre-covid times and recently). To be honest, the mahogany location is better than this location (fresher sushi, nicer rolls, good service etc). Mahogany gets 4 stars and this location only 3.5.

Mother’s Day sushi platter promotion was a poorly organized event.
Very disappointing.
Long wait outside in the rain.
Skip drivers were rude and cut to the front of the line. The poor kid working the door was in over his head and didn’t let anyone know what was going on.
This needs to be better organized on a day for a special event.
I got my text at 4: 50 saying my order was ready. I walked up to the line at 4: 53 and did not leave until 5: 18. A 30+ minute wait in the rain for a pre-ordered, pre-paid sushi platter is not acceptable. There were no formal lines or marking for people to stand either and this resulted in many people far too close to each other. Super disappointed.

I want to first start by saying the only time I give poor reviews is when I have had multiple bad experiences at a place. I like to make sure I give places the benefit of the doubt because we all know bad days happen.

Second, I want to state that this is not a review of Kinjo as a whole, but this location specifically. I highly recommend the location of Country Hills.

We have ordered food here consistently since September because it’s the closest location to where we live. We have waited an extra 15-30 minutes for our order each time we pick up, and the quality of the food is abysmal compared to other locations. The last straw for me was when I got sick after eating one of the rolls. I would also like to point out that during a time when restaurants were open during covid, this location was JAM PACKED with people, I could not believe it. I am disappointed because I know this does not embody the quality of Kinjo as a company or their food. After this last time we have decided that we would rather just drive the extra 20 minutes to go to the far north than order from here, and I urge other consumers to do the same so they can truly appreciate Kinjo!

Always a friendly welcome to Kinjo. The tasty sushi treats will tempt you aboard their aquatic vessels as they float past. The chefs work tirelessly to keep the orders flowing. Fast and friendly service, great value and decent sushi all topped with a package of pocki for the car ride home.

All my family was so happy with sushi and rolls. We ordered online and got 20% discount for pick up by ourselves. The choice is huge, the website was developed well to make an order decision fast. All food was delicious. Thank you, Chef for your professionalism. 100% recommend Macleod Kinjo Sushi!

I visited this place in 2008 and it is pleasant to visit it again and meet a friendly, cordial staff and above all with the delicious dishes that my palate remembers.

And last but not least, the price is very very good also. Items are much less cost than at the grocery store sushi offerings. But restaurant atmosphere and much better taste and price is lower than grocery store.

Want the best socially distanced clean eating experience go to kinjo. Their place is spacious and open. Heaps of distance between tables. Their food is always consistent and delicious. I can’t wait to dine in here soon!

Great food! But the open kitchen is absolutely disgusting with grease all over it! I would hate to see what happens in the back for a place that serves raw fish!

This friendly spot is always nice for a quick little sush-sesh, family dinner or date. Swipe fresh rolls off the boat or order; whatever you chose it will be fast, fresh and will hit the spot.

Have been to other locations and always have had great service and food. Today, I ordered some food from this store. The sashimi is so so so thin, like a paper.

Obviously the piece I got has NO 0.5oz!

Delicious food! I like that there are smaller portions, so i can enjoy more than just 2-8piece rolls and be full. Eating in you get everything fresh, tasty and accurate.
Delivery, i have the past 3 orders missing something.
But forsure a place i enjoy eating in at.

The food here were very tasty. Authentic Japanese. Loved how the food were running on the belt and we could actually see it and the decito have it.

When dining in, this Kinjo is tiny and cramped but I do love the sushi belt! Out of all the Kinjos in the city I think this one usually has the freshest fish and best quality. Overall I love going to Kinjo if I feel like eating many different rolls, I like you can order rolls in groups of 4! When it’s possible to dine in, getting a seat can be pretty tough because the restaurant is so small. The one thing is I wish the restaurant could be cleaner - definitely have been seated at some dirty tables/sushi belt seats before.

The food was good, but I specifically mentioned in my pick-up order to include wasabi and ginger but when I received my order, there was none. It was a pretty big order too so we were a bit disappointed.

Always has great, consistent food. Ordering for pickup is 20% off now which has been nice. If you eat in, they always give you a little sampler plate of sushi. The pocky they give you afterwards is a nice touch too.
