I find the staff generally helpful, however it is often difficult to find someone, or there just aren't enough staff for the number of customers. A lot of the things people buy from you require some assistance and you're often not staffed appropriately.

I also find that the organization of the store (Edmonton West) is not the greatest and always seems to be in flux. Everything moves around so much there. It can be frustrating.

5 stars to staff and equipment but zero stars to their parking lot it really sucks unless you drive a mini car they really need a better set up just saying so they got 4 stars from me come on boss give us retired guys with trucks a better room to park hate to say it but like Princess Auto has great parking but 50/50 product so it's there thing but as us older people get older well we need better parking just saying:)

They had the product in stock. I bought a steel bar to perform landmine exercises. Because of my purchase, they are now out of stock.haha The clerk was very nice.

Great place for a large variety of tools. Staff great. I have shopped there for years, always courteous. I especially enjoy the wood turning section

Kms west Edmonton. Employee was very helpful, showed me equivalent option that saved me a lot of $$.

Their so called sale prices are the regular prices at Home Depot. Do your research before considering a purchase at KMS.

Rude staff and over priced. Can't even price match from home depot prices. Found item from home depot half the price. That lady from west end really something else. She's so miserable on her job, she should find somewhere else that makes her happy. Hahaha.

Went in to get some tools and a belt for my husband's lathe so he could finish a very important project and I think his name was joffe went above and beyond and helped us find everything he needed to complete this very important project. Highly recommend great staff and great prices

Don’t order from the West location absolute waste of time. Bought a mill that was in stock, they couldn’t find it. Said they would bring one in from another location in 7-8 days. Called in the first week looking for an update lady on the phone gave me attitude. Waited the second week and noticed they had one in stock. Called and asked without mentioning my order and they had it on the floor. Went and picked it up and given more attitude from the guys in the warehouse as it didn’t have a name on it. Showed my receipt that I paid for it 2 weeks ago so I’m taking it. I still don’t believe they ordered the original one for me as that location still had theirs in stock. South side location is good

Good store with reasonable prices, but make sure to do price comparisons to other tool stores and suppliers.

Friendly, knowledgeable and very helpful staff. Prices and sales are great. Stock on tools is plentiful. Love this place.

Inquired about tool rentals and was treated very rudely I would never ever buy tools from KMS ever ever ever

Great for specialty hand tools and power tools that places like home depot and lowes don't typically carry. There is Large selection of power tools and shop tools as well as PPe and tools belts.

You won’t get better prices on tools and consumables anywhere in town make sure you sign up to be a member! Dom will take care of y’a!

Good selection, good prices. Ordering equipment can sometimes be a bit of a production but it does all work out in the end.

Better prices and better selection than the usual scumbags. Pretty helpful staff. There is online shopping too. I frequently visit, even though my wallet tells me to stop.

Beware online “sales”. Went to the website to order $1000 Dewalt power tool kit. Flyer stated that you get a free 2 pack of batteries and listed the part number as the 2 pack. In the cart it would only give me the single battery. Searched through the website and they don’t even sell the 2 pack of 5ah batteries. Also, the flyer stated that the batteries were a $300 value when you can buy them for $169 elsewhere. Conversely, they sell the single battery for $200 which is more than the 2 pack should be. Sounds like the price gets jacked so they can say you get a “free” item of higher value. Watch yourself and make sure you get what you’re promised.

KMS Tools has a wide selection of tools and equipment. Even if you're specialized in a specific trade or profession, you can probably find what you're looking for here.

You can also order online and pick up in store. The pick up process can take a few days, even if the item is in stock in the store.

Finding the price of a product can be tricky since items get moved around and sometimes the tags get knocked off. But the staff is helpful in price checking and finding what you're looking for.

Shopped around for some parts for an older truck I was looking to restore, was told about KMS and their free shipping deal if you have your parts shipped to the store. Seemed like a great deal doesn’t it? I thought so too.then the other shoe dropped.

It started when about a week after I placed my web order and called into get an estimated time of delivery, the fellow I talked to told me that web orders often get messed up and I really should have went in and ordered from someone in person, I agree with him.on both counts.

It seems to me that with a web order nobody is accountable for the order, I asked that I get updated as parts came in seeing as they would trickle in over the coming weeks. No call ever came, I was forced to come in and at times rummage through the back with staff to try and locate my parts.

I was promised phone calls that never came, promises of delivery times that were never met. In fact it took six months after they charged my credit card to get the last item on my list.unfortunately for me it was an inner rocker panel, the first panel to be installed as it gets covered by the others, it literally put me six months behind to save a few dollars.

The parts are ok for the most part, no real complaints there. The price was decent as you really do save a bit when you place a large order like I did, no complaints there. The customer service.at a minimum the customer service that comes with placing a web order.was non-existent.

They made me feel like my order didn’t matter, that I didn’t matter as a customer. To make matters worse when I left a review.they had it removed. I guess they don’t want me sharing my experience with others, that’s too bad because I think others should know what they’re up against.

They left me a nice reply saying a manager would reach out to me and try and make this right.much like the other promised phone calls.it never came.

In closing I just want to say be careful or at least be aware of what you could be facing as far as lead times and communication from staff. At the very least go in and speak to someone who hopefully will take responsibility for the order.

I just love this store. They have such great selection and customer service. It is just a shame it is on the far west end. Same with Lee Valley Tools. Just wish they were closer to Sherwood Park.

Best tool store in the city. Only place to really find Knipex when I want it. Staff could use better training to answer questions but will do their best to find the answers.

I have never seen a store that has so POOR consumer service. Staff at the tool counter are ignorant, not friendly and never have any sense of what Customer Service is. I have given them many times to prove me wrong but have failed EVERY TIME. DO you self a favor and shop else where.

Great place to get tools for both professional and hobby work. Everything from PPE, woodworking, metalworking, welding, mechanic tools, construction tools.etc.
Prices are reasonable and they always have a sale on something.

Staff are friendly and have good knowledge. Sometimes you need to order something in so you have to wait for it.

Awesome prices for their tools. Had an issue with an item I purchased, however the store manager was kind enough to resolve the issue for us right away and provided excellent customer service. Thank you. Will continue to purchase here.

Good deals on milwaukee gear, they seem to have a focus on brands with reputable build quality such as Klien Tools and Veto bags. Happy with the flyer prices on the packout system, better deal than home depot!

Had every tool I was looking for but prices are a little more expensive then places like home depot but I suppose if you were a kms member it would be cheaper

Its a great store for professional grade tools with generally helpful staff, but you're often going to find you have to pre-pay and order items that are out of stock; especially items on sale.

They’d get 5 stars if they had more stock, I understand it’s covid but still.inventory in the Wong place, but they have good prices, better than the big online/hardware stores

Great selection, fast and friendly service. Shortly after entering was asked if I needed any help. The associate who asked me was not able to help me but led me to someone who could. They had the tool that I was looking for. (I had trouble finding it at other retailers who sold tools.) Their pricing is great as long as you are a member. Membership is free.

Had to get a specialty allen key on account that Revolution Cycle said they couldn't fix my wheel because they didn't want to break their tool, WOW. Anyway ran into a very cheery feller by's thee name Wally that searched many shelves and found one, a special order someone didn't pick up. Lucky me's I guess, but now I still gott's to fix the wheel, which should have been done at Spinny Cycle, I mean Revolution Cycle. Thanks again KMS Tools

One of the best tools stores anywhere ive been. Always have the latest tools and tech. And can order anything from any distributor they have if your willing to wait. No shipping cost either unless its oversized or special item. They also have the best selectuon of automotive tools of all types and classic car and truck part. Its like a toy store for adults. And they can also suppy your businesses industrial ordering needs for any manner of tools and equipment either reoccurring or special order. Best tool store around.

Terrible service I bought a compressor 2 months ago and it stopped working I brought it in spoke to customer service manager which gave me excuses about how air compressors are not warrantied and they have 12 signs stating that in store, what a joke, beware buying a compressor her.

Good: Very friendly staff, warranty is good, usually have something that you can make work in a pinch if they don't have exact tool you want. They will raincheck it in from another store if don't have the item you're there for.
Bad: Not a store you want to browse in for smaller items, lots of stuff in boxes or not shown out, hard to find. Online order and raincheck is a complete mess. Takes 3-4 weeks (5 by time they call) to get stuff in just from another branch, so be prepared to wait. Each time I have called and it's been in store for 2-3 days but I haven't gotten a call yet. And like someone else said, it can take 10-15min of waiting to find your item in back when you do get there to pick it up.
