Koi Fresh Fruits & Tea(Center St)

Koi is one of my fav bubble tea place in Calgary. One of my fav drinks is the mango pomelo sago with coconut milk. Highly recommend.

Every time I come here I buy a cup of taro ball milk tea and poplar nectar. They are both good.

Love their taro balls topping, hope to try their taro milk tea in the future! Mango pomelo sago drink is tasty and unique flavours.

The fruit tea portions are ample and reasonably priced. The environment in the store is also very comfortable, suitable for relaxing and enjoying a drink.

Great choice if you prefer more tea taste than other bbt places. Recommend da Hong pap bubble tea

The people working there are great, they took my order and got nothing wrong with it and are very friendly. Its inside lambda which is pretty convenient. The drinks are taste great and are worth it for their price and theyre made pretty quick. The store is clean and has a nice atmosphere. 10/10 would come again.

Great bubble tea but they are often sold out of pearls and sago at 7pm when the business does not close till 10pm?

My favorite bubble place! I highly recommend the peach green tea yakult with peach juicy pearls.
The staff is always friendly.

The drinks here are always really well made, and the people there are some of the friendliest people. The prices aren't that bad. The location is well planned out, and there were no mishaps whenever me and my friends go there. The Oreo Milk Tea is super delicious, and there are a lot of add-ons to choose from (including ice cream!). Sometimes they even give you sticker cards to build up for a free drink.

Delicious drinks! Baristas were super friendly and really good about making recommendations based on what we were getting. Can't wait to try more drinks off of their menu!

The atmosphere was kinda boring and no music playing. That being said, the beverages are amazing. And the service is great. All in all I would highly recommend grabbing a bubble tea from Koi.

I always come here and order jasmine green tea with salty cheese cap, my most recent visit, the girl was putting her hair up in a ponytail while taking my order and told me there’s no salty cheese cap very rudely then took my cash payment and started making my drink without washing her hands.
University location has better customer service, I won’t be coming back here.

Best bubble tea in Calgary I have ever tried! I love the fresh fruits, unlike other places, they use the real fresh fruits to make them. I have tried almost everything on the menu, especially the Mango Pomelo and Super mix cup, never disappointed me. I’ve been looking forward to tried out their all the new seasonal drinks! This place is on my to do list every week!

Worst customer service and most disgusting bubble tea ever! You should learn how to treat people with respect first before even considering opening a store. Will never come back and won’t recommend it to anyone.

Their drinks are just unbeatable. Every time I go around this area I get a drink from them cause it’s that good!

I've been frequenting this specific Koi for a long time because I live across the street, even befriended your staff. Usually even if my drinks are not great, I'm happy with the overall experience. Unfortunately, my most recent purchase was such a huge let down I had to leave a review here for the management team. Last year, the seasonal peach smoothie was amazing, so I'd been waiting for it to come back this Summer. The one I just bought was bad. It is so artificially sweet (30%) and barely had any peach nor flavour to it. It was totally different from the drink last year. I couldn't tell if the drink has been altered or the person on duty made it poorly, but it is disappointing.

Update: June 2022, returned back to this location. Happy to report that this time the wait for 2 drinks was only 10 minutes, totally acceptable and I'll change my rating from 3.5 stars to 5 to show the improvement. The owner did respond which I appreciate but I decided to give them another chance on my own. Drink quality is excellent and I guess my previous visit was a bad coincidence.

Original Review. Honestly, nothing wrong with the drinks, I love them and they are high quality.however.it took 30 minutes to get 2 drinks. In that 30 minutes, the 2 people working made 11 drinks (including mine. I was definitely counting after 15minutes). This was the entirety of my lunch break (actually I was late back to work). In the future I'll choose another tea place on center St or head over to the other location (which doesn't have parking) if I can get there. I was walking up to request an order cancel and refund when the guy made eye contact and suddenly started working on my order, so they definitely know people are frustrated.

I'd still recommend them as it is delicious, but caution that you better have enough time to wait.

Ordered 3 drinks on a quiet afternoon and it took a very long time to get my drinks with 1-person before me ~25minutes. When she received her drinks she complained it took too long, I assumed they were just training new staff. However, after driving 20 minutes home, I realized that they didn't add any of my toppings into my drinks (their cups are no longer clear?) Probably won't ever return, too many other places that do it better.

Koi is doing it differently! I love their take on bbt, they’re one of a kind and keep me coming back! Definitely in the top 5 bubble tea places in Calgary.
My only qualm is that they will have Fantuan incentives for 10% off pick up, but always list their prices on the app higher… not cool! Always just pick up!

This is the first Koi spot I ever went to and it is such a cute little place with friendly staff and amazing drinks:)

Waited for 20mins without anyone in front of me. And still got the wrong topping. Not only this time.

Awesome bubble tea, the whole team is very sweet, today I was helped by Padwork and he did a great job.

Went in on a particularly busy day. I waited around 45 minutes for a Jasmine milk tea, and when I got it it was incredibly bitter. My friends' drinks seemed to be fine, but I'd be hard pressed to come back.

Drinks are Ok but it seems I always get sandy ice. Dont know if the sugar was mixed really well as it tasted very sweet. It seems like this every time me and my friends go there. They seem to like it but it's not my thing. I will avoid this place in future and convince the group to go to chatime instead. Staff are rude, and dont speak English when talking amongst themselves. They think we don't understand what they are saying but we do. I wont go into details as to what was said but will comment that if you are going to say something bad about your customers, make sure they dont speak the same language. Dont assume because you have a different skin color that they can't understand. Hope you guys can be better in future for other customers.

Ok drink but terrible service!

It took them over 30 minutes to get a drink ready while it was not too busy. There were 3 employees. One Asian girl was crazily busy. And the other toe didn’t seem know what to do. 1 girl was even just swapping her phone. I saw one customer dropped a straw on the floor and she just put it back in the clean straw bucket!

The staffs were nice but the drink wasn’t that good than I expected… Mango pomelo sago with coconut milk is popular menu but idk why. It just taste like only coconut milk. I think they put too much coconut milk or too little other ingredients.

Drinks were decent, I enjoyed their fruit tea options. Not sure how their milk teas are though.

Got my bubble tea delivered. It was refreshing and the boba was cooked well. The matcha, strawberry and oolong milk tea are sooooo good. 10/10 would order again.

I called at 11: 33 to order milk tea, One cup was hot and the other was cold. I told the employee that I would like to pick it up in 5 minutes, but I had to wait for about 10 minutes when I got there. And also the lid of a hot cup of milk tea could not be properly covered and the milk tea kept leaking out. Because the cup is very dirty, I asked for a new cup but still spilled! I told the clerk I was in a hurry, but she was still slow! Such a bad experience

Has to be the #1 bubble tea spot in Calgary. The fruit and cheese foam are so fresh and the taste is unreal. Yes, prices are on the higher end but it is damn worth it!

One of the best bubble tea places in Calgary. No one does sago and taro balls like Koi. The mango pomelo coconut drink is my favorite!

There are sand in the "creme brulee" drink most of the time, they are small sand but it's a pretty consistent issue. Other than that it's a great store!

One of the best bubble tea in Calgary. They have drinks that other places don't have, and also topping that other places don't have either. Really loving the brown sugar milk with golden boba.

We love Koi so much but the customer service is such a shame, the wait times for drinks here are so unreasonable. We came on a slow day, only ordered two drinks, were the only customers in the store, and had a ~15 minute wait because the workers were completing 4 online orders before ours (the delivery drivers didn't even pick up before we left). We would think its common courtesy to complete in person orders before online, but I guess that's not how they do it here, no apology for the wait times either, it's always like this when we come: (.

Tried once in the past and the drinks were delicious, but this time I was NOT provided service at all after waiting for 5 minutes. I came in from the supermarket side and there was a divider that separated the store in two. On my side there is a desk that had the menu and it says "order here". I was ready to order and leaned close to the counter with the menu. I was aware that both workers were busy, but as soon as someone from the front door entered, they got greeted served.and it happened twice back to back while I was still standing there facing them ready to order. I wasn't acknowledged at all or asked to queue on the other side of the divider. I think signage for queueing could have helped at this point. Regardless I didn't have much time and left to go elsewhere. I'll try my luck next time
