Came here during a quiet Friday night and is a nice option for good food as they're open pretty late. Seafood pancake, stew and bibimbap were all really good and spicy. I thought the portion sizes were pretty small for what it was priced at. Overall, good experience and our server was amazing. Happy to come back and try other things.
Folks this was a treat. I am not very experienced with Korean food but this restaurant was very nice. We had the spicy bulgogi 10/10, the green onion potato pancakes 9/10 and one of the lunch bowls 10/10. The service was 11/10 in a very clean and happy atmosphere. I will be back!
The owner is extremely friendly, the food is amazing, and this was the perfect place to go to for my birthday. Thank you so much for the delicious food and the ice cream!
I am SO glad we found KOR when visiting Calgary. The service was fantastic. The food was excellent. We will definitely be back every time we are in town!
This is a nice place if you are craving for Korean food. They have bigger space compared to other Korean restos here in Calgary. They’ve got a massive menu and we were confused of what to get. We got a beef bulgogi and the pork with gochujang sauce. I liked the pork more than the beef. We are a rice eater and the rice that comes with the order was so tiny and we have to order additional rice (which was also so tiny). The owner was so kind though but they look like they lack staff because I only saw one server and the 2 owners. It was pretty busy at that time so it took time for our order to be served. Overall, a good K-resto.
My number one option to go to when I am out late around this area. Food is great, and service is reliable. Definitely not the best Korean food in the city, but it is very reasonably priced. They have also improved significantly since their opening many years ago. Just shows you that the owner actually cares and is willing to improve.
Me, my boyfriend and my bestfriend just ate here earlier and the food is really good! I love korean food so much and this place is really worth it to go. All the staffs are so nice and friendly. Probably we’ll come back again!
Ordered the kimchi fried rice (comes with a fried egg) and the Korean miso soup. Both came out fast and steamy hot. Fried rice was especially good, not too spicy and a good portion size. Extra side dishes were not charged which is great. Service was very friendly and quick. Restaurant was clean and spacious. Only nitpick is that the lunch special doesn’t say it’s weekdays only on the website or other social media. Will come back to try the omurice and seafood pancake next time.
First time eating at KOR on 32nd, I and the company I was with were very pleased with our meal. Great taste, good portion, reasonably priced. Daniel was very hospitable and made us feel comfortable asking questions about menu items we were unfamiliar with. We will return, a definite recommend.
The food was okay, but nothing special. Extremely pricey considering how small the portions were. We ordered one tteokbokki for $11 + $3 (without tax!) for the cheese, and there were maybe 7-8 pieces of tteokbokki or less in the dish. I’ve been to other Korean food places that were better when it came to price per serving. The food came out within 15-20 minutes after we ordered four lunch boxes and the tteokbokki. The server was nice.
From the moment we walked into this restaurant we knew it was amazing! The ambiance, the atmosphere, the cleanliness and service was outstanding. The take out service food was a 10/10 I can’t wait to experience dining in! Highly recommend
It was pretty good food. The menu is extensive with lots of great tasty options. I wasn’t impressed with their Bibimbap. But I won’t disregard the whole place for one subpar meal. The restaurant is simple with friendly staff. I recommend lunch time as it’s not busy with prompt service and affordable prices.
This place is fantastic! Amazing food, superb service, and a charming atmosphere. The first time here I had the tteokbokki, and the second time I had the Galbi. Both were delicious and I highly recommend either one. The person I came with is new to Korean food, and our server took the time to go through each item and explain what everything was.
Perfect stop for delicious Korean food. Such a fun atmosphere and seriously delicious food. The service was helpful and friendly. Definitely looking forward to visiting the other locations!
Food here is always good and consistent, I always order the those black bean noodles it is delicious every time. Staff is Always friendly and knows how to treat their customers. 10/10 for food and service!
One of my fave Korean restaurants! Me and my bf share the hotpot stew (which serves 3-4 people) but we purposely always want leftovers! Sooo good. The tartare is also delicious too! Service is friendly and interior is so cute. Definitely recommend
Customer service is impeccable and i felt like they introduced me to proper korean street food (delicious) I also had a korean alcoholic beverage i have never seen in before served with 2 shooter cups to share. The price was cheap and i would highly recommend this place.
Cute. Casual place. The food was good. They offered street food but also traditional foods. They had an army stew that I want to try on the next visit.
Service is very kind and understanding. Unfortunately the food that I received when I went, did not taste that good as the others said in their comments.
The place is pretty big and wide. Many choices on menu. The servers were friendly. But the food was just so so: (especially the bulgogi didn’t really taste fresh.
The stone bowl Bibimbap was amazing and they have a few options for protein – I just had the bulgogi, next time I'm tying the spicy squid. The pancakes were a flavour bomb, without the grease. I will be returning to this restaurant, the staff were attentive and proud.
Tried this place on recommendation from a friend. Very friendly service. Good food. Nicely done modern take on traditional Korean dishes. Will go back to explore the menu further.
Went here yesterday with my sister and we were SO pleased with everything. I believe the gentleman serving us was the owner, or at least manager, and he was so friendly and helpful. He happily gave us some recommendations and walked us through items on the menu when we told him we wanted to try some new things. He took the time to bring one can of each beverage over to our table and describe each one to us. Everything was absolutely delicious and we will definitely be back.
EDIT: Just wanted to add to my review as I got take out and my experience was amazing again. Ordered for 4 people in my office and everyone loved it. They didn't have the soda I had asked for so I was given 6 different kinds, 3 for free. And the owner carried the food out to my car for me. I've only been here twice so far but both experiences were awesome and I will come back again and again.
Very friendly and accommodating staff! I love the ttekbokki, equal taste of sweet and spice! My daughter finished all her takoyaki! We enjoyed our first visit here!
Food was super flavorful and delicious! Owner was so nice and helpful. Service was impeccable. Would definitely go there again and highly recommend to try.
One of the best Soondae in Calgary. The seafood & soft tofu stew was also very tasty, they make it with a stronger garlic scent but I didn't mind. Staff was also very nice and attentive
First time coming here to KOR! We went for my partners birthday (party of 3). We ordered a few dishes to share! We had the bul-go-gi bi-bin-bop, sam gyuhp sahl bul-go-gi (marinated pork belly), gah jah tang (potato pork bone soup), butter corn on hot plate (yes add the cheese) and a noodle dish show in the white bowl. Sorry I can’t remember what that one was called however it was really good and garlicky!
Service was very good! They were very attentive and polite. The restaurant was very clean and had cool decor. Music wasn’t too loud!
The manager or owner (not sure what his role was but definitely in charge) was so awesome! Always checking up on us and making small talk. He was asking what we were celebrating and brought us a birthday mochi! It was just that personal touch that made it so special! I will definitely be coming back to try the other dishes.
The owner is so helpful and really cares about his customers and their experience. The food is beyond great. Especially their Takoyaki with all the sides and rice. Best flavors! Will become a regular
One of my go-to Korean restaurant in Calgary! The staff was super friendly and I really love the vibe of Kor. You can truly feel that the owners are passionate about delivering great Korean food and exceptional service. The restaurant was really clean and also seems like they can accommodate large groups which is great for dinner parties.
Perfect portion size! My favorites that I would recommend is the Soondubu, the Jjamppong, fried chicken, and the bibimbap! But everything I tried so far has been 10/10 and I'm always leaving satisfied! Would recommend to all my friends and family!
Great place for fantastic Korean food. Various selections from famous BBq to delicious warm your heart kinda of stew. And snack like the Korean corndog.we had pork bone soup, corn with cheese and stir fried noodles they were all fantastic and delicious.so good and we have to come back. They were so nice to also provide free mochi dessert for us and so wer happy with the service and all as well
I ordered a spicy squid hot stone rice. Overall flavor is very bland, and the rice was stucked together, definitely rice that has been left out for awhile. The sidedishes are all on one small plate, and they taste not good as other korean restaurants in Calgary.
Saw the sign on the road the other day. Really tasty food. And very friendly and helpful owners. I will definitely be back.
I think The words "street food" implies that it is inexpensive. I didn't find that to be the case, the cost was average for a sit down lunch. However the ingredients are premium so you're certainly getting your money's worth!
-KOR offers some really delicious and filling meals and we'll definitely come back to try other items. I had the mandoo rabbeoki last time. Their mandoos stayed crispy throughout my meal and are my favorite menu item so far.
-The owner is a really friendly person and is always willing to chat with his customers, whether it be about how to properly eat your meal or explaining the different snacks they have for sale.
-5/5 customer service. The owner (who took our order) noticed that my gamja tang looked completely different than how it should be and actually brought out two chefs to look over the dish. He then very kindly had it remade as a to-go item for me so that I could finish my dine in meal.
(from: the customer with the strange gamja tang situation)
Service from the older gentlemen (guessing it's the owner) was top notch. He took his time to come serve us for just for a quick min but made the visit much better. We got the Kimchi pork hot pot. Really like the soup, over loaded with toppings. We were gifted a free a appetizer Tteokbokki and the flavour had a hint of ginger (I think) and it was amazing. Will come back again!
