The not your average rueben is a sumptuous trip of deliciousness for your tastebuds. The bread has the right amount of crunchiness. The pastrami is succulent, spiced to perfection. With perky saukraut to balance the richness of the meat. And it's huge. The perogys are tender and so good. The brussel sprouts are incredible. The creamy dill sauce is to die for on the brussels.
Yes! So good. Maybe it's the German/Ukrainian in me and my opinion is biased, but this place rocks. I come once a week and I can't stop! If you've got an itch for good home made perogies, these guys will scratch it for you. The rueben slays too. Also, they're super chill, friendly people. If you get the perogies, I'd suggest a sausage and side of kraut too.
This hidden gem is inside the Avenida food market and it’s easy to walk by without noticing it. That would be a mistake. If you miss perogies the way that grandma used to make them, this is your spot. Will definitely be back.
Now that is a sandwich. I had high expectations when I ordered the Reuben and they were met maybe even exceeded. This will definitely be in the rotation for favourite meals at the Market
