Went in for a brow tint and thread for like $30 something. When the lady who was helping me came up and asked if I had ever done henna tint before, I said no I haven’t as I’m used to using just for men She began explaining how henna works and how long it was going to last, then asked whether or not that was something I was wanting to do. Thinking henna was just the type of tint they use regularly, I said yes. She said okay, and started making the mixture and threading my brows.
When it came to the till, I was shocked when I was charged more as that was not made clear, otherwise I would have just said no. I just took the difference out of the tip I was expecting to leave, but would have been nice to know right from the start it was an extra charge. My brows still looked bomb tho.

Exceptional Experience with Karam for Face Threading

I recently had the pleasure of visiting Karam for a face threading session, and I was thoroughly impressed by the entire experience. Karam is not just skilled in her craft, but she elevates the service to a whole new level with her professionalism and attention to detail.

From the moment the session began, I felt completely at ease thanks to Karam’s friendly and kind demeanor. She explained the process clearly, ensuring that I understood each step. Her expertise in face threading was evident as she worked meticulously, ensuring not a single detail was missed.

The most remarkable aspect, however, was the pain-free experience. Having tried face threading before, I was prepared for some discomfort, but Karam’s technique was so refined that I hardly felt anything. It’s clear that she has honed her skills to provide a comfortable experience for her clients.

Moreover, Karam’s friendly and warm personality made the entire session enjoyable. She engaged in pleasant conversation, making me feel more like a friend than just a client. Her kindness and approachability are qualities that truly set her apart.

I had an appointment for 6pm and didn’t get seated until nearly an hour later.
I understand that things get double booked, there’s a lack of staff or things are just behind schedule. It happens. But when I checked in the least they could do is give a heads up that it will be approximately x minutes wait. That way I could do other errands instead of sitting around for almost an hour.
My other concern is that when I was finally seated, my station wasn’t sanitized. No matter how busy you are, you should always sanitize in between clients.
Though I wasn’t too happy with my experience prior to my service, they still did a great job with my brow. The service itself was quick and she knew exactly what I wanted.
I’m sure I probably just came at a bad time (Christmas season) and it was really busy, but it would’ve been appreciated if I was told that they’re behind schedule and to give me an approximate wait time until they were ready for my appointment.

Karam is amazing! And knows exactly how to treat my brow needs. She makes them look their best. Highly recommend this location and her!

Highly recommend Karam! Used to be my main threader at Marlborough mall and when I couldn't find her one day, I freaked out and went to another mall! I found her at cross iron and I was so relieved! I literally go out of my way to see her she's that good! Amazing technique little to no pain and always makes my eyebrows top notch

I always go to Kurves cross iron for eyebrow threading and Brazilian because I’m never disappointed. But Karam goes above and beyond. She aims for perfection and I was not disappointed. Definitely will be booking with her from now on:)

If I could rate this “business” 0 I would! The people here were beyond rude and stuck up! Completely unprofessional. So disgusted with how I was treated! I went in to get my brows threaded and everyone looked at me then went about their day. No “hello” or anything! Then finally a rude lady mumbled something to me with the worst attitude! I just left. I was not about to spend money on a “business” that operates on mean girl energy.

Piercing was painless and as quality as the other 2 times I git my piercings done here. Karam is such a sweetheart and took great care. Much love ladies!

I visit this store for the first time and it was a horrible experience, the staff who was closing made things so complicated to get services (which I regret getting) She told me my colleague left you can come tomorrow. I swing by a few mins ago to make sure it’s ok for me to come as a walk in, when I did come as a walk in, she mentioned I had to book an appointment, Seemed like she was not interested in helping me. I went for threading after I have full growth to have the perfect shape. She ruined my eyebrows, they’re so uneven it looks ridiculous. As I was leaving we were having discussion and she told me I FORCED her to do my eyebrows (which I was so shocked to hear) She was so unprofessional, I will never return to that place ever again.

Harpret did an amazing lash lift and tint. It has been years since I have found someone who does it just the way I like it!

The lady that pierced my ears was so nice. I went with my friends back in november of last year and I kept going to her for piercings. I got my second and third lobe there for a total of 60 dollars.the price is incredibly affordable for earrings as it was around 30 dollars. I also got my cartilage here. I recommend going to an actual shop for this as they do it with needles there. Im thankful nothing bad happened to my cartilage as she did it with a gun but in general, i never reccomend getting anything on ur cartilage with a gun (coming from someone with 10+ piercings) Would recommend for lobes.

The lady that did my full face threading did an exceptional job. The prices are reasonable too. I will surely be back to see them again!

I wanted to give it a 5 star because the first time I was here, they were closing in 2 minutes and the lady still accommodated me and did a pretty good job with my eyebrow.

But i will be giving 1 star now since i just had the worst experience. The lady who did my eyebrow was nice yes. But she was doing it so fast that i realized when i got home my eyebrows are not even. Also I hate having them too thin and she made them too thin as she was doing it so fast. Plus I had mine tinted with henna, yes i know its supposed to be dark but im not sure why theres no fading effect. She put henna on my entire eyebrows and when it was drying, instead of removing the insides of the eyebrows to make a natural fading effect, she added more. Now my eyebrows looks like it was drawn by a kid. Im so disappointed as i waited to get my eyebrows done here as im not from calgary.

Horrible experience at this location, staff doesn’t know what they’re doing. I went in to get my lashes lifted for my birthday and the girl lifted both upper and lower lashes (I have very long lashes). When she finished doing the lift I noticed that my lower lashes were curving up and some pieces of hair were irritating my eye. I asked the girl if that was normal and she told me it’s totally normal and that the lashes will go back or normal in a few hours. Turns out she used the lifting gel on my lower lashes and didn’t wanna own up to it and my lashes look horrible now. I called the store multiple times and explained to them what happened but they keep spinning me around in circles and not getting back to me. I asked them to fix it before my party and they apparently don’t know how to do that. Avoid getting a lash lift here because the workers can’t differentiate between the upper and lower lashes.

I had my first ever eyebrow threading here. Haven't tried threading in my whole life. It was not a bad nor a good experience. I'd say in the middle. The lady was doing well in shaping my brows. And I commend her for that. She was good. However, after the threading I got some cuts on my left side.like obvious cuts. Now I am worried if are you guys using the same thread for all customers? I am just worried.

Harpreet from cross iron mills mall did my eyebrows today. She did a great job and was very understanding and made sure I was 100% satisfied. I even bought eyebrows kit from there today. I have been going to Kurves from many years. But I would say Harpreet was the best. Thank you Harpreet!

The location is close to me but I am forced to drive to sun ridge because the lady at the cross iron mill is rude, very unprofessional and insulted me on one occasion. I tried going there again hoping to find someone else but she was still there. She has a bad attitude and shouldn’t work in a place where customer service is essential. Very disappointed.

The work done by harpreet was very good and clean. She gives perfect shape to my eyebrows. She has steady hand, no skin rashes or redness. Also the store was soo clean and tidy. No mess around. Good job

There is a lady there I ask specifically to thread my eyebrows, she does it very well but looks unwillingly even though I’ve asked for her. Last Saturday I went and got the other lady because I was scared to ask for the usual lady as she always gives me a weird look. The other lady basically threaded it too thin that you can only see my eyebrow tattoo shading.for the price I guess this is what I deserve.: (

Got my brows threaded. The lady was quick and efficient. Decent quality threading. She was not the most polite but got the job done. Cleanliness of the “brow bar” is questionable.

The girls are all very friendly and pleasant to deal with. They always let me look in the mirror and make adjustments before I leave. However the lighting must not be quite right to see fine hairs because I feel how it looks in the mall vs how it looks when I get home are two different things. I tend to find hairs left when I get home. But not their fault if they are seeing what I am. Maybe they need a vanity mirror with lights? Overall, I keep coming back here because even if they miss a couple I can pluck them out and they’ve never RUINED my brows. It’s always a nice shape so I’ll deal with plucking a couple stray hairs.
