We have been a client of K & W Audio for about 18 months or more. We essentially tore out all of an old home entertainment system that was plagued with problems and replaced it with a (nearly) entirely new system. I won't say that we didn't have some hiccups, because we did, BUT what I found so impressive is the willingness and speed that Trevor and Chris took to make it right. They are both so easy to talk to, and do everything possible to correct any issues (even those caused by Shaw and/or Telus). Thanks a ton guys, and I would highly recommend K & W Audio to those who want a fair price, and more importantly, who support their installations. Great work guys.

Be prepared to be laughed at for asking any basic questions. I called with a simple inquiry for my business and was laughed off the phone why two reps. Especially if you are female presenting. 0/5 wasn’t an option. I wish it was.

Very helpful and friendly! Brought old Mission speakers in for replacement spikes, and they patiently sorted through their parts bins and found me what I needed. The spikes weren't new and didn't exactly match, so I wasn't even charged!

I have slowly built up my Sonos system in my home and have gone to K&W Audio for most of my equipment. They are very knowledgeable, courteous and professional. This last trip I purchased a Sonos AMP and was having some trouble installing it. Total end user issue. Andrew at K&W was awesome trying to walk me through the setup, and I still couldn't get it. They then sent out an installer who was fast, accurate and did a great job getting the work done accurately and quickly. I highly recommend K&W Audio, great company who remember what customer service means.

The team at K&W Audio are exceptional! We purchased a sound system with built in speakers for our new house. They walked us through the options, in language we could understand that didn't make us feel stupid for not knowing more. They didn't try to upsell us and found really good options for us that fit within our budget and met our needs. Much better than ordering online from a random website - personalized service, great explanations - we will definitely be back!

High end audio backed by employees with years of knowledge. Was really happy walking out with my purchase and looking at the price of product online not feeling grossly gouged. Was happy to pay the little bit more for the hour plus of time the employee spent with me showing me products and finding out what a good upgrade for my system would be.

Popped in with an older Def Tech sub, they replaced both amps at very low cost, on site in a jiffy. Great folks if you are looking for top notch audio.

Update June 2021: I've been adding new pieces every couple months, recently first one Paradigm X15 subwoofer and last week a second X15. Wow, these subwoofers are spectacular. Initially when I added the second sub I had to reconfigure positioning and settings and Darren was very helpful in getting my multi-sub system perfectly dialed in. I needed to upgrade the cartridge on my 7 year old Rega RP 3, an Ortofon red. I researched some choices and decided to go with the Ortofon Bronze after speaking with Andrew on the phone. I boxed up the Rega and brought it in. I left for an hour and came back to K and W. Almost ready, even Darren needs lunch! It was so enjoyable bullcrapping with Andrew and Michael about growing up in Calgary, and audio histories in general. Then Darren came out of his secret lab with my turntable and more jovial conversation ensued! Such fun plus knowledgeable professionalism. The result? The soundstage and range were outstanding on There Goes Rhymin' Simon, brand new heavy vinyl. What an awesome adventure! K and W is unbeatable. Thanks guys.

Purchased a home theater system from K&W 18 months ago and they did a great job installing it. Last week our modem crashed which meant the rear wireless speakers went offline. We got a new modem but the rear speakers would not recognize the new wifi. I called Geoff Woods and he walked me through the process of getting the rear speaker back online and then paired with the receiver. I think he spent at least an hour and a half helping me. K&W provided excellent service and I 100% recommend them to anyone wanting audio/visual components and service. Hal

We had K&W outfit us for all of our electronics during a major renovation 2 years ago and they did a fantastic job perfecting the installation. During the current pandemic I messed up our network leaving us with no cable tv and no wifi (and two teenage girls). With no tech guy available for 10 days Geoff came by on his was home and after about 45 minutes had us back up and running. He said he couldn't leave teenagers without wifi. (and then he wouldn't send me a bill) K&W (Geoff) have been amazing to deal with throughout the process of the renovations and after care. It has been one of those experiences when you get great service and realize all the times you think you got great service, but didn't.

Had them do a new Sonos and speaker for us, excellent communication, they showed up when they said they would and I couldn't be happier with the sound quality.

This review is specific to turntable repair. They had it for over two weeks, and when they were done diagnosing, they told me my turntable was not repairable and I’d need to buy a new one. I took it to a second shop and they diagnosed and replaced the cartridge in 30 minutes and it works perfectly again. I also suspect they broke the lock mechanism for the arm, which was fine when I brought it in, but broken when I opened it up for the next repair shop. Granted, I have a low to mid-range turntable and this shop’s focus is typically high-end.perhaps this repair wasn’t worth their time. Still, I was fairly disappointed with this lack of thoroughness and care.

We have had timely and efficient service from K&W Audio regarding our Control 4 requirements.

We have a house that is approximately 100 years old so we needed someone who would respect the old lath and plaster walls and that there is no where to hide the equipment.
K&W came in and did an amazing job, we have speakers throughout the whole house, upstairs, downstairs, all the equipment blends into the surroundings. They were amazing to work with through the whole process from design to completion and support has been amazing, all of our stupid questions answered and respected.

When we built our new home we graduated from CD players in many locations to a central music system. Michael De Jong was an invaluable resource for selecting and installing our equipment and continues to be readily available to help our with questions and changes/additions. We are very please with his service.

Darren helped me on our last issue with the C4 remote over the phone and was most patient with my lack of technical knowledge. And I think we solved the issue in less than 20 minutes. Geoff did a great job designing my home automation system. He really listened to what I was trying to accomplish and stayed within my budget constraints. The system I got exceeded my expectations. My home is filled with crystal clear sound, awesome video and easy-to-use lighting themes.

I have had the pleasure of dealing with K&W Audio and I must say that the level of service that I've always received from them has been professional and engaging. I first set foot in K&W Audio back in 2007 and had the rep demonstrate multiple pieces of equipment to me but ultimately the prices of the gear was quite high putting it out of the realm of affordability for the average person. FFWD to 2019 and I start my quest for my very first HT receiver that upon walking into K&W stating my intent and highlighting what I was looking for that the sales rep (Andrew) was more than happy to demo the unit and walk me through the receiver's capabilities. After some back and forth bantering that I was ready to close a deal IF K&W could meet me on a reasonable price for the Marantz receiver I wanted to purchase. I proposed and offer and Andrew was very reasonable and closed the deal that very day. I'm very happy with the receiver (wish it could be cheaper) and I would absolutely buy from K&W again and again. Thank you guys and most importantly thank you Andrew for making my first buying experience from K&W a great one.

I have a subwoofer that I have had in twice for repair at Speakers Only. The second time it was in for over a year. I know sounds crazy but true! After such a ridiculous wait and $200+ in billing I brought it home to find out it still didn't work! Today, on my way to work, I stopped in at K&W to see if they could help me. 15 minutes later I was on my way with my Sub repaired! That is serious service. No wonder these guys have been around for so many years. I also had a chance to check out some surreal sound systems while I waited. Thank you Darren for looking after the repair and thank you Michael for showing me some awesome Hi-Fi gear!
