Giving 1 star cause they literally have a $14 sandwich that is literally brie cheese and jam. $14.

The Kougin is the best thing from this place.
But that’s about it…

Pass on their sandwiches- as an option for bread is (Foccacia or Baguette), but they are ALWAYS out of foccacia.
There is always an option for Arugula or Spinach but they are ALWAYS out of Arugula.
One would expect more for a 14$ sandwich.
Very cheap on the meats as well. You are pretty much only paying for the bread.

We always go here and have a great time.and would normally give a 5 star review.food has gotten a bit expensive but understandable due to inflation. Sadly, the last time we went Christmas Eve.our whole party of 6 people got food poisoning. Now even this while unfortunate, i know happens sometimes. So i called to let them know and to see if anyone else got sick- just so i know if i was contagious since it was Christmas and we were going to be around other people. No one returned my call. And i look on reviews here and what do i see? … some else said the were sick after there at the exact some time frame.again- this is usually a great place.so i hope they take this info and maybe take a look at practises and perhaps any possible contaminants.and do a thorough investigation. Thanks

Cafe au lait and an almond croissant.
Both were very good. Croissant was a bit dry. It was later in the day and under a heat lamp so perhaps that is why.

Hmm the food was great (blueberry tart, almond brioche, ham and cheese croissant) and it's a lovely place to sit. However, there were no smiles and the prices were 25% too high.

They offer the most delicious pastries, and I would come back here again and again. The place offers a very French cafe vibe. Worth a visit!

I’m a huge fan of kouign amanns! I tried their pistachio kouign amann around 4pm on a weekday. No wait, and just a few people around.
It was good, but a bit too oily and sweet for my taste. The first 1/4 was amazing but I struggled to finish the rest and by second half I was feeling the oil in my mouth with each new bite. But the extra sugar does give it a great crunch!

This is my goto place for a cozy brunch, or soothing my sweet tooth with delish pear marzipan croissants. I loved every single visit and I’m so glad that I live within the walking distance of this place!

Really good food that was soured by extremely rude behaviour from the barista. I couldn't wait to get out of there away from her scowl.

Love the European vibes of this bakery, feels quite similar to spots in France. The pastries and food were great - I’m on a hunt for the best croissant in Calgary and these were definitely satisfying, although not the best. Giving 3 stars because the coffee (I ordered a mocha) was no where near the quality I was hoping for. I’d go again to try more food options though, but will likely seek my caffeination stations elsewhere in the neighbourhood.

My first time visiting here. One of the staffs was so frowning her face and was rude while I was looking for the menu and ordering food. Very disappointed to the girl with the glasses.

One of the croissants in the city. Their Kouign-amann is espectacular, the best in Calgary. Sometimes very busy, staff overwhelmed with amount of customers, but with the quality and flavour of their baked goods is totally worth it.

The coffee and bread taste good, and the atmosphere is great for leisurely eating on the terrace.

This is a love review to brûléed (brûlée-ed.brûléeed?) lemon tarts and walnut cookies. Thank you La Boulangerie, for making them so perfectly, waking up or staying up through midnight to get them just right, and serving them up to me with a smile (even when I went through that phase of not tipping). Thank you for everything you do to make beautiful food and community.

First time here. Ordered the baguette salmon, cucumber, cream cheese with arugula. For $14, that was the hardest and most stale bread I ever paid for. My husband ordered the chicken sandwich and the baguette was stale as well. We were disappointed and did not enjoy our lunch. Won’t be coming back to try anything else either after first impressions.

If less than 1 star was an option.
Upon walking in with a 2 year old and a dog I asked if someone was able to help me by taking my order. Waited 20 minutes and no one came outside so decided to proceed inside only to be told to get out as no dogs are allowed. No signage posted and shocking service

If there was such a thing as too much cheese on a ham and cheese croissant (which there isn't!) this place would be perfectly on the borderline!
