I recently purchased a recliner from La-Z-Boy Furniture store and had a great experience shopping there. Someh went out of her way to show me many styles and expertly answered any questions I had. The chair I purchased is lovely and so comfortable. Someh is delightful - ask for her. You won’t be disappointed.

Tony, our salesman was bombarded by Fatima, the Laz-Boy Designer. Her customer service was mediocre at best and she was quite abrupt and rude to our salesman Tony. She overtook the appointment to show us how some pieces we were inquiring about, would fit in our new space, which was muchly appreciated. We took a couple days to think about it and went back to inquire about purchasing one recliner (instead of two) and Fatima was our first point of contact. I showed her my idea of the recliner with a couch I found and she asked if we had an area rug. I told her we had a fairly new one that was grey. She directed me to a more suitable area rug (in her opinion) and asked if I'd like a quote, I said sure, even though I wasn't there to get an area rug. She quoted me $2500 and we would only require a 25% downpayment on the rug and chair. I immediately but kindly declined. Fatima's mediocre customer service then declined more and she was quite rude and short with us. Now requiring 50% downpayment of the recliner since we didn't take the area rug that we hadn't planned on purchasing. We paid the 50% and thought no way are we supporting this business after that treatment. We went back to get refunded to which we were told the admin lady was on lunch and we would have to wait. We waited and then received the best customer service from the refund lady stating she was surprised they didn't come grab her to do the refund as it doesn't take long.

Unbelievable Laz-Boy! Do better.

I had major spinal surgery, recently, and wanted a comfortable recliner for reading and relaxing. Chairs have been a major issue for me as I have metal rods in my back. When I sat in my recliner, I cried! You can't imagine the joy I felt when I could relax and NOT feel the rods. I knew this recliner was for me. Hey, they didn't offer me a tissue but I cried on their chair, not mine. Thank you, Peter, for understanding my tears. Thanks to La-Z-Boy for making a chair just right for me.

Kim, the sales person at Lazyboy, was excellent. She went out of her way to return our call via Google Meets so we could see the products virtually and insure they would match the living room decor. Delivery was expedited. The delivery staff did a great job and insured we knew how to operate the lift recliner.

Very poor quality. We’ve bought from Laz-z-boy forever but will never again. 1.5 years ago we bought a sectional for $6000. After two months the stuffing needed to be replaced on the backs as well as one or two seat cushions. The other day we noticed the legs had bent up into the frame so the sectional body was on the floor. Called their service dept and was told the warranty is for only one year. They could send a service person for a cost of $70 for the service call and then $90 per hour. Wow! Maybe you require a masters degree to service furniture at laz-z-boy. Quality has gone way down. Don’t recommend.

The in store experience was good. They promised we'd get our furniture in 3 months because of Covid and I was fine with that. Now, 3 months later they're saying another 5 months. Sales person doesn't return our calls. Very poor after sale service.

Steve Williamson was very helpful and patient answering all my questions. He gave just enough space and time to search on my own and found me in the store to answer any questions. He was very knowledgeable on all their products and never made me feel pressured to buy anything. In the end, after changing my mind so many times and finding other couches and chairs more comfy, I finally found the right set for me. Not to mention all my concerns I had for getting a new couch (destructive dog and son) Lazy Boy had great warrantee to cover costs if the couch gets wreaked. Hopefully they are good on their warranty, if I ever need to use it.

Good experience overall. Salesman was knowledgeable, helpful and experienced. Pickup at warehouse was quick and warehouse workers were proficient. Had the new furnature setup in my living room same day. Not common with todays supply chain and general customer service issues. I’m pleased and would fully recommend.

I should have added way more than just the 5 stars, because the service I received from Ryan was exemplary. I explained to him my situation and he right off the bat had solutions. The delivery was on time, he helped me pick fantastic pieces and he personally picked up the cheque as I was unable to go to the store. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend your store your furniture or Ryan Arsenault, your fantastic product expert, as salesman doesn't seem a good enough term. Thanks again!

Horrendous behaviour by a salesperson, poor manager follow-up, incorrect charges, and more. We’ll never set foot in this store again, and hope you consider doing the same.

Steve W, a floor salesperson is very dishonest: he lied about the price of the couch, the warranty inclusions, inclusions, and more. He lied about the price increasing next week; it actually dropped significantly a week later. He lied promising to refund the difference should that happen.

We took pictures of the price tags when we purchased the two items. Then La-Z-Boy decreased the price significantly in a sale a week later. Steve and his manager then lied by saying the price was always that and was never higher; they swore by this. We then showed them the pictures of all pricing (with dates showing the decrease) and communications. The manager then said she would still stand by Steve no matter what because they have known each-other a long time. Also, strange that the manager insisted on using her personal email not her La-Z-Boy one.

We then had to go to central customer service, which eventually issued a partial store credit; although not nearly enough to cover the difference or trouble. And of course, lying Steve then kept a personal vendetta for us calling him out.

We ordered two pieces of furniture. We called Steve past the estimated delivery date to ask for an ETA. He said it would be a at least a week still. Knowing we can’t trust Steve, we called again and talked to a different salesperson. They said the first item had been there for a week, and Steve was wrong.

The exact same thing happened with the second item a month later. We called and Steve said it’s not in. We called right back a few minutes later, someone else answered, and they confirmed it had been in for a week and didn’t understand why Steve hadn’t set up delivery within 1-2 days as is their standard. This item arrived damaged.

Then Steve, holding his little vendetta against us, instructed the delivery truck driver not to give us items we paid for even though they were shipped to us. The delivery driver told us Steve did this shady move, but gave us the pillows anyways since they were on the invoice and paid for. At least the driver is honest and helpful.

We went to the store to use the store credit, only to be told by a salesperson that we could only use it upon appointment with the store manager. A few months later we tried again, and this time, the sales person said that wasn’t true and we could have used the credit without the appointment. He had no trouble issuing the credit by himself without the manager.

If despite all this you choose to use La-Z-Boy, avoid Steve, take pictures, and use written communication.

Gail was excellent and personable, the selection was tremendous. A bit pricey because of the La-Z-Boy name, was to be expected. Warehouse pick-up went seamlessly, happy with the experience!

I recently purchased a recliner from this La-Z-Boy store. After about 12 months of light use one of the seams had begun to sperate. This chair was supposed to be backed by a 10 year extended warranty program which La-Z-Boy is not honoring. I have spent weeks trying to get this repaired under warranty with no luck. La-Z-Boy Canada uses a third-party company to handle their warranty claims and they look for loopholes, so they do not have to back their warranty promise. Buyers be aware this is not the same company it used to be. Save your hard earned money and shop elsewhere with a company that values integrity and ethics.

I was there with a friend, she had been told that they had tons of stock, the chair she wanted had to be ordered and the sales person we had was very condescending and pushy especially about the warranty, I personally won't go back.

The sales associate was helpful and did not leave us to wander around needlessly. He (Daniel) was able to guide us to find exactly what we were looking for. The manager was accommodating when it came time to discuss particulars of the final sale. I would recommend this business and location (Calgary on 11 St. SE)

We dealt with a manager named Darrell and he was awesome! At no point did we feel any pressure or steered in a particular direction. Definitely not like going to the Bric# where the sales people are all lined up facing the door trying to be first to make eye contact. A great shopping experience. Thank you for your help Darrell.

Beware if you purchase electric furniture and move outside of Calgary YOUR WARRANTY WILL NOT BE HONORED. The electronics that I paid extra for stopped working after 3 months and I was told I would have to bring the reclining loveseat back to Calgary, which is impossible. We moved to MEDICINE HAT and I do see they sell their products here, so why won't they honor their WARRANTY.
Worst $3800 dollars spent. Never again!

Overall a pretty poor experience so far at Heritage Meadows location in Calgary.hoping to get the bed we ordered! Summary:

- Ordered Vista King Bed by American Drew
- Manager gave salesman (Tony) a hard time - loudly kept repeating that the bed could not be ordered (wasn't part of their current collection despite being on the website).
- Tony found a way to order the correct bed for us (Thank you!), despite his manager's repeated assurances it wasn't possible
- Upon receiving/opening packaging, we received the correct headboard and footboard, but incorrect side rails (assembled bed was too long for King mattress - large 8 inch gap at foot - see photos)
- Side rails received were from a different bed entirely, within the same collection (picking error - notice in photos trim on footboard doesn't continue along side rail as it should)
- Headboard upholstery was rippled and not pulled tight - looks quite poorly constructed (see photos)
- Re-visited the store to explain that we'd need the headboard fixed, the correct side rails replaced and the slats replaced as well as they now had holes drilled in them from assembling the incorrect pieces.
- A different Manager told us (Friday) they'd have someone reach out on Monday to arrange having the proper pieces sent and an upholstery person fix the headboard. It is now a week later and we have yet to hear from anyone

We feel like we have had enough patience with the company, understanding that mistakes happen and the picking error is out of their control, but we've had several frustrating experiences now. Hoping to hear back soon - will update review with results!

Within a minute of walking into the store, the sales rep introduced herself. Barbara was with me throughout the process. She was pleasant and listened carefully to my requirements.

A whirlwind tour of the store helped to narrow down my options, which was helpful because of the dizzying number of choices.

It was an okay experience, and I ended up purchasing furniture there, however, i want to remind potential purchasers to do their homework before shopping there.

First of all, the sales rep told me that no other store offers a power recliner feature (at least, that’s what I heard her to say). That is not true. Every place I checked had the feature available. Either she does not know her product, or she was trying to mislead me. Secondly, she told me that the fabric on the chair (which I purchased anyway) was the best material. Hum. When I check the website, the material, at least according to the price, is the second lowest price, out of four pricing categories. If price equates to fabric quality, she again either doesn’t know her product or was misleading me.

I’ve been told that the the sofa will be here in August/September. Given the previous questionable information given to me, I’m hopeful, but not convinced.

I would have preferred to buy from a Canadian business/manufacturer, but in the end, I bought from this American-based chain and manufacturer.

Would I recommend LaZBoy? Too soon to comment on quality and durability. At this time, though, I’d have to say 9/10 for variety and selection. 7/10 for service (it would have been much higher if I hadn’t felt I was being mislead).

Frustrating and disappointment to say the least. January myself and family went into Lazyboy to select new living-room furniture. Picked it, fast forward to 2 days ago (5 months later) and I get a call to explain my order has been cancelled and I won’t be getting it. I have since then asked for my money back (as we paid in full) and I have had no communication since. Terrible customer service. Sell me something I can’t have and now I don’t get a refund? Zero recommendation from this family.

Kimberley Donselaar was excellent to work with at this location. She listened well to what we were looking for and used her interior designing expertise to help us select couches, chairs, stools, pillows, tables, area rugs and lamps for our home. Her enthusiasm, care and professionalism were truly appreciated. She was accurate in her timelines for delivery. Kimberley communicated regularly and even went to the warehouse to ensure all was well with our delivery. Our home looks great, thank you La-Z-Boy and Kimberley!

Bright and inviting showroom. Assisted by Debbie (?) who was friendly and informative. Highly recommend checking out this store when in search of furniture. Prices are higher, but you get what you pay for in terms of quality, comfort, service, etc.

The salesperson, Kim, greeted me and my husband promptly and helped us select a new reclining love seat that meets our needs. She was open and transparent about some of the challenges in getting stock from the manufacturers in the US. We luckily selected an item that they have in stock and our new loveseat will be delivered on Thursday.

Laz-y-boy does not currently offer removal of old items due to covid concerns which is disappointing even though other retailers do. Home Depot hauled away my old washer last week.

La-Z- Boy Home Furnishing & Decor has once again delivered on excellent customer service thanks to Daniel. He introduced himself and then left us to browse with no sales pressure at all. When we need help he was there and answered all our questions and addressed any concerns we may have had.
As for the store itself it is very clean and well laid out. Their furniture is well built and they have many design options to choose from. We have yet to be disappointed and will continue to give this local company our business and highly recommend them.

My husband and I live in Edmonton. We looked at the various sofasets here and then contacted the Calgary store and this is where we met Priya. Her pricing was much better than anybody here, her customer service was awesome and she did her best all the way! We ran into a couple of minor glitches towards the end, however they were dealt with to our satisfaction. Thank You to Priya and Kathy for taking care of Don and I! We appreciate the time and support you both have given us!

Want to say firstly, I love the furniture that I purchased. Sales person that was helping, was very knowledgeable and professional right up to the end. Earlier, when explaining the additional warranty o f La - Z - boy products (which they explained very well) I was not interested, and told them i was not wanting to part take. After, I made the decision to buy the furniture, they told me the total price and it was wrong. They just "included" the warranty in to the price and did not say after I clearly said no earlier. After i repeated my self, the sales person kept pushing it on me. I got incredibly irritated and was about to walk out to go the north store by cross iron if it was mentioned one more time. Wasn't the fact that I had to pay more, it was the integrity of the situation that incredibly irritated me. Furniture is great thank you! But the last bit was very very unprofessional unfortunately.

Our experience at Lazy-boy could not have been better. Our salesman Ryan was amazing, he went above and beyond to help us and make sure we were satisfied, including coming in on his day off. He was honest about the lengthy delivery time and various fabrics we were looking at that would best suit our needs. He listened and worked with us through the many configurations we gave him of the sectional couch we were looking at. We had recently purchased a couch from another retailer and had a horrible experience. I am happy to spend the money and get the better quality of product as well as great customer service! Everyone was so friendly!

Linda was extremely friendly and helpful. Her experience led me to pick out and configure the couch of my dreams in less than an hour. They have amazing products. Unfortunately they have the worst customer service ever and terrible wait times. There is no accountability amongst the staff and incredibly disorganized. Products are nice but they can’t deliver them so you may as well shop anywhere else in the world but here.

I purchased a brown leather sectional approximately four years ago. We have had service three times for the same problem and they still have not corrected the problem. I am very disappointed With this expensive purchase and service. The problem started the moment it was delivered. I have always shopped at lazy boy but that will end now!

This is the right place to go if you are looking for an exceptional customer care as well as furniture of quality. You will get what you are paying for. We purchased furniture for our living room and also for our kitchen island. Kimberley Donselaar and Dana Hutton have so much passion for their job that it translated to pure excellence, they are so nice and friendly. They showed us our options in terms of material, colour and style and we are so happy with our selection. We definitely will come over to check on the furniture for the rest of our house.

I met with Steve and he was very helpful, but was in a meeting when we returned. Debbie stepped in and walked us through a number of Queen Anne recliners. When we zeroed in on a style and price range, we ordered two! Unfortunately delivery time is approximately 22 weeks.

It was such a great experience to have a representative that could give me awesome advice. He was super knowledgeable about the products and helped me make my decision based on my personal needs. The first purchase arrived on time and was ready for pickup when I arrived. Great Impact coffee table. Tomorrow I will receive delivery for the matching bookshelf, with Daniel’s help once again. Donna was great. She met me soon after I arrived and showed me some things that she thought might interest me after I informed her of what I was looking for. She left me to browse at my leisure with periodic check ins to see if I needed any help. Once I had decided on what I wanted she quickly made it happen. I was very pleased that what I wanted was in stock and will be delivered at the time of my choosing. I was very happy with the entire experience.

La-z-boy was my fourth stop of the day and I was impressed with the selection of furniture as well as the quality. I know I will be happy with my choice for years to come.

The service was great. They left us alone when we needed to figure things out for ourselves and they gave us REAL options for what we had in mind when we were ready to make a decision. I'd been to a number of furniture stores in the previous days and was aware of the supply chain dilemma (COVID 19) for overseas manufacturers. I was ready to be disappointed in the deliver timeline at Lazyboy as well. Ryan was quick to check supply and delivery options which kept us engaged in the process long enough to get what we needed.
