I went to lakewood to discuss trading in my truck. Dheeraj was the salesperson who was helping me. He did everything possible to make a great deal happen very quickly, but sadly, due to my own lack of research about taking a truck purchased in Alberta to Quebec, I was not able to go through with it. Dheeraj still found many ways to make the deal work, and without costing me extra money. I was not able to take this opportunity, but the experience made me certain that I would ALWAYS recommend lakewood to any friends or colleagues in the future. Thank you for being human and not treating this only as a financial transaction.

I had issues with our truck in the summer going to Edmonton from Langley for a long weekend visit with our kids. We limped into Edmonton on a Thursday evening tired and worried about getting service as we were leaving Sunday again. To top it off we had to pick up our travel trailer on the way back in Kelowna.
We called the dealership Friday morning and they were able to get the truck in Saturday am. They found the problem, fuel filter causing errors, and putting truck in ‘safe mode’. We picked up the truck Saturday afternoon fixed and got back with no problem.
They are professional and really hear the clients situation. Thanks Lakewood.

My partner and I just purchased a pre-owned vehicle from Lakewood Chevrolet. We were treated very well by our sales rep. Gagan. He was kind, attentive and diligent throughout the process. He went the extra mile to find a new vehicle to meet our needs when we weren't happy with the one we originally came in to look at. He then worked hard with the finance team to get our payments to a comfortable range for our family.
At the end of the deal Habib and Paul increased our trade in value $500 more than what we originally agreed on and got us a great interest rate. We couldn't have asked for a better experience.

Absolutely amazing service! Had motor on our 2018 chev go and without much notice they agreed to take it in and get it fixed up. Within a week they had that motor out and new one in. I browsed for days for a New Car/Suv and was struggling to find a good dealership and then finally i came across Lakewood Chevrolet & I'm Frm Troronto and Bought my Car all the way Here Because of the gentlemen who helped me with the whole process of buying a Brand New SUV, (2021 Traverse Premier) it was seamless and honest.
I spoked to Naushad on every aspect of the process and he was so cooperative even late at night and went out of his way to help me out with everything from the satisfaction of the whole financing and Shipping part.

Traded in my vehicle and bought a 2014 Ram 1500. Purchase and everything was fine. Day after buying it, it dies at work 3 times and then won't start again. Called them, they told me to get it towed to them and they'll fix it for free since I just bought it. I told them it'll need a new starter because the starter was smoking but all they did was say the battery had a bad cell and replaced the battery. 2 months after buying it the engine had a severe knock which required an entire new motor to be put in it due to lifter failure and my exhaust manifold was warped and needed to be replaced. Called to try to get them to help with the $12k bill and was told they could offer some repair at a discounted price after I said multiple times that there is nothing to repair, it needs an engine swap. New motor gets installed at the shop I brought the truck to, they road test it and find that one of my wheel bearings is so far gone that they didn't even want me picking it up without it getting replaced. They road test it after they replace the wheel bearing and it dies on them and won't start again. They then had to replace the starter which smelled like it was melting. That's a lot for a truck I've driven just over 5000km with no responsibility coming from the dealership.

Gave this place almost a week of our time, back and forth, constantly asking what would be a "no brainer" for us to buy a vehicle. I knew what our vehicle was worth on a trade in, and they couldn't come close to what we wanted, which was to at least break even. We went to another Cheverolet dealership, who offered us more than what we owed on our vehicle, and more of a discount was offered than this place, and saved over $7000 on the exact same vehicle we were looking at here. Glad we went elsewhere, that's a big savings!

Lakewood Chevrolet has done it again. My family and I were trying to work out a better budget monthly and Dustin from Lakewood Chev randomly texted my wife to see if we was interested in trading in our Nissan Titan. We weren’t planning on it, but after asking if he could get us into a cheaper payment we got a deal. Well not only did he get us into a cheaper payment, but extended warranty, less Km’s, and all the bells and whistles on the new truck that we had added to our Nissan. Dustin then put us in the hands of Habib who worked on getting us approved which in our current situation we thought wasn’t going to happen. But within less than a week we were approved, driving to Edmonton and headed back to Fort McMurray in our new Ram 1500. We are still completely happy with our Traverse we got from them last year. We will continue to deal with Lakewood Chev. Staff are friendly, prompt and getting back to you ASAP, and make it worth your while to travel for new vehicle. I do not recommend this dealership to anyone. Unless you enjoy having your time wasted with incompetent staff then please have at er. From the very beginning of buying my new vehicle from them in January 2021 I have had nothing but issues. First issue was after I purchased the vehicle out of the showroom I discussed day and pick up time for the vehicle. Said day comes and my vehicle is STILL in the showroom and people are climbing in and out of it looking to purchase. I then had to wait another day for the dealership to do what they were suppose to do in the first place. I have then also had issues mechanically with my vehicle which is on GM not the dealership itself but for one of my appointments I took it in for an oil change. Generally for an oil change a dealership will call you.back in an hour or so. 3 hours later I still had not heard from the dealership so I called them as I had plans for my day and I come to find out that they had lost my keys and that the oil change had not yet been preformed. Not only were they incompetent of ensuring that keys are put in safe places but they neglected to inform the owner and once again I had yet another day wasted. For this the service manager promised me a detail. Well don't bother getting a detail from them cause they will clean the inside and wash the outside.no wax or anything like that. I can wash my vehicle. So needless to say that this dealership has lost my business all together and I highly recommend that no one go to them for sales or service cause you will be nothing but disappointed and frustrated.

Coworker purchased a used vehicle from this dealership. Took the dealer two weeks to finalize the reconditioning of the vehicle even though the purchase was complete.

After receiving the vehicle the front end needed to be replaced, the manager refused multiple phone calls to resolve the issues. After multiple complaints the dealer provided some compensation for repairs.

Two weeks later the vehicle broke down and left him stranded. It was found that the vehicle needed nearly additional $20,000 in repairs. At this time it has still not been resolved.

After witnessing how this dealership conducts businesses I would highly recommend avoiding it.

What a superlative experience, through and through. From our first dealings with Todd (a true car guy) via text and phone (we’re from Calgary) and later in person, Todd was nothing short of amazing, kind and a true gentleman through the entire process. We later had the pleasure of getting to know Aaren at the credit department. (again, another great, upfront and tremendous individual that we are looking forward to dealing with again). This is a great dealership that provides great service. I bought two Silverados from them last week and the process was very easy. I got two great trucks that I am very happy with and I'll definitely go back for my future vehicle needs. My salesperson JT was awesome, very friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful.

Follow up with my concerns? !? !? That's the reason for the one star review in the first place! I have now asked for a refund of my 1000 dollar hold on a vehicle on four different occasions with three different people, dating back to January 28th, it is now February 8th. Your dealership continues to not carry through with promises, and ultimately the reason why I did not go through with the purchase.

Lakewood offers a very high level of customer service. Everyone in service is phenomenal, but I deal with Dwayne most of the time so I have to single him out for his help. I've dealt with every gm dealer south of downtown and in the small towns south of Edmonton. These guys are the best by far.

Lakewood are very disappointing business they are asking me for a review and I’m not a customer. To me they are sending out randomly. So there attention to detail is poor. So what are they like repairing cars? Or even more scarier what would happen if you bought a new car. And end up with everything screwed up.

Can't say enough good things about this dealership! This was my first time buying a brand new vehicle, and even though I had done a bit of research, Bill and the team walked me through absolutely everything I needed to know! I Talked to this dealer about buying a truck from them. I did a bunch i research on the truck to find out the tow rating. They made me an offer and i counter offered at $1,000 more on my trade value and they told me they were just waiting to arrange shipping as i am in BC and i was waiting to evaluate my trade to make sure it will work for them.
I followed up 3 times with nora each time i was given an update. Our last conversation on the phone was mid day and she told me she would get back to me. She emailed me the next day and said the truck was being sold to someone that was already at the store.

I have to say that everyone I dealt with at Lakewood really went to bat for me to get me a great (& brand new!) vehicle that was in my price range. Honestly, they blew my mind what they came up with for me. Every one there was so courteous, personable, down to earth, funny, and professional. I'm a single female and didn't feel worried about getting taken advantage of at all. Curtis, in New Sales, was so great to work with and Tammy, in the Finance Office, was a miracle worker. Scott the New Car Manager was fun and Danny the GSM was great! They made a lifelong customer out of me. We purchased a new 2018 Silverado Z71 from Lakewood in Oct 2018. I must say that the people there made us feel very comfortable and we were very well looked after. Kudos to Dan Bass, Carmen Ye, Manita Bains and their service department. The whole deal went extremely well, the truck being exceptionally clean when we went to pick it up.

As to their service dept, I was very pleasantly surprised with the installation job done on the running boards after the sale. I normally do these things myself because I am very particular about properly maintaining my vehicles. I inspected the job done on the install and was 100% satisfied. Well done!

And finally - would I recommend Lakewood Chevrolet? YES.

All the staff were friendly and helpful. They bent over backwards to get us a good deal on our new Chevy Silverado. All dealings with our salesman Ron Koehler and the sales manager Dan Bass were enjoyable and professional. Also Eddy Tohme in finance was efficient and "no pressure". All together a positive experience.

-Charged me for a "relearn procedure" to salvage a shock that was clearly not salvageable as it was covered in fluid that was leaking from it. Went in for a refund as this really got under my skin. Assistant Service Manager gave me a refund but acted very bitter during the refund process. Unprofessional in my opinion. Kind of defeated the purpose of trying to keep a loyal customer happy. It's a good thing the diagnoses was free because the mechanic missed something in the diagnosis. New shocks and still rides like a shopping cart.

Looking to purchase a used vehicle for my daughter, we have been to several car lots and dealerships. The usual typical approach out there is to have you sign on the line before you decide if you even feel that vehicle is the right one for you/her! Certainly NOT the case at Lakewood Chevrolet.

I called Lakewood Chevrolet to see if the online vehicle we are interested in viewing is still available in their inventory. It was then confirmed that it was available, I informed the sales rep that we will be down in a couple of hours to view this vehicle. The salesperson sent me a photo of her business card as well as a picture of her beside the vehicle we are looking to view. We knew exactly who we would be looking for when we arrive…. VERY impressive intelligence Carmen Ye, a step above all others! I felt like I just entered a comforting home rather than just another dealership.

I wasn’t really intending to trade-in my vehicle however, I thought I would see what they were going to offer me if I did. Their offer came back at an unbelievable industry “very fair” price, so in the end, I did.)

I am not one to make quick “on the spot” decisions so I told Carmen we were going to think about the decision overnight. Surprisingly there was absolutely no pressure or stress on their end to push for an immediate sale. The next day negotiation process was quick and extremely stress free.

On purpose my plan was to wait for sometime to pass before adding my review (so far it’s been one month) to see if their aftercare left me feeling any different about our experience after our purchase. Soon we will be attending their customer care night. They even introduced my daughter and I to their service team as well, prior to the customer care night. Again, WOW, I am still impressed and in awe with Lakewood Chevrolet used sales, no pressure, no hassle, no stress, business attitudes and respect.

I have never given a 5 star review to any establishment ever before however, Lakewood Chevrolet is deserving of this 5 star customer review. The service I received at Lakewood Chevrolet was by far the best I have had from a dealership, I purchased my 2011 Ford Raptor there. Jim Bell was excellent to deal with, I live in another province and he held the vehicle for me until I could get out there to see it. Jim was always quick to respond to my questions or call me back if I left him a message and he picked me up from the airport when I arrived. Nothing but high praise for him. Next to Jim, Ron Koehler was other person I dealt with the most and Ron was knowledgeable, friendly and great to deal with. Thumbs up for Ron. I dealt with Manita in the finance side and she was very friendly and great to deal with also. Never once while dealing with Lakewood Chevrolet did I feel pressured. I have had good experiences with Lakewood Chevrolet overall, but I am very disappointed in the misrepresentation of the Diamond Kote protection I paid 1500 or more for when I purchased my vehicle new from Lakewood. I was under the impression that if my vehicle rusted it would be fixed. Every year you have to have your vehicle inspected and every 5 you get the diamond kote reapplied. I did that. And when my vehicle rusted on the lift gate, dan and Manita contacted diamond kote to have it repaired and they deny my claim. I will file a complaint with the BBB! I am very disappointed that I have to pay out of my pocket to have the rust taken care of. What was the point of shelling out all that money for? It’s a complete scam! Do not bother wasting your money on diamond kote. I am looking at purchasing a new vehicle now but I do not think I will purchase a chev and I certainly will not ever pay diamond kote another cent! I’m not a very satisfied customer anymore because if they sell it they should warranty it.

The staff were really nice HOWEVER,
-i got them to install 3M to all the areas in the package i pairs for and the bumper and the hood were severely peeling when they gave me it and said i would have to come back to get it fixed.i live 500km away and shouldn't be expected to come back down waste more time getting it done.the second time went smooth once they fixed that, however they also missed spots on the undercoat, and again i had to get back for that (same trip) then to top it all off they had to order the weather tech floor mats that i paid for, and they ended up not having them in stock (same trip) after they said they would hold a set in their office upon my arrival. THEN to top it off the mats in the front were replaced with their "new and improved" Chevy floor mats (half the price of weather tecs) i did not realize until i got home (500km away) so yet again i have to go back to get that sorted out.this was my first new vehicle purchase and it had been nothing but a headache.
PS.i NEVER write reviews EVER but i felt this needed to be addressed.
The staff were VERY nice though.they just need work in the service department and a vehicle shouldn't be given back until it it "returned to service" and ready to go.now that it is off my chest. 500km to go to get my floor mats replaced.wouldn't recommend this place for all reasons listed above.
