Generally it’s an ok theatre. But saw Sound of Freedom last night and the AC was deliberately shut off on us. Shame on the management and staff for doing this.
Went to see a movie today. There was some very noisy teenagers that didn't stop talking the entire movie. I told them to be quiet and they laughed and continued to talk and purposely rock back and forth in their chairs to make it squeak. My friend went and told a man at the ticket counter and they said the manager would come in and deal with it. No one came and dealt with it. We didn't hear half the movie, so we will need to go again. I would not recommend this theatre!
Filthy dirty theatre. I’m not one to write reviews but yuck. They sell discoloured hotdogs and only provide condiment packets to top with. They were out of ketchup (!) and most fountain drinks, the bathrooms were gross, nothing was in it’s place and I think there were only four ppl working in the entire theatre. Bad experience, would not recommend.
Went to see Sound of Freedom and the movie theatre had no AC during a very hot day. It was so uncomfortable I could barely focus on the show. When I left the theatre the AC was working in the rest of the building. If they didn't have only one staff working maybe someone would have noticed.
Went to see Sound of Freedom on Friday. Good movie - heavy. Was expecting some AC but we were a bit warmer than I was comfortable with. Chairs don’t recline like the other landmark locations but this was an older theatre. Staff were really friendly and you can order some decent grown up bevvies here so that was nice. Would have liked more of a savoury snack selection.

Its wasn't that busy at all there was a limited seating for movie goers I had a great time enjoying the movie. Thank you landmark Cinemas to keep the place running in hard covid19 pendemic.
Went to see the Edmonton film festival here seats are extremely comfortable as well as great staff show support I'd really hate to see this place go BC's of covid
Best place to go in city to watch a new release without the kid crowds. 1 free refill on large popcorn and soda.and drinks are much larger then cineplex.live the multi combo coke pop machines with many flavors
The theatre is a shadow of what it use to be. When it was Empire Theatres there was more arcade games, and ticket game you could play and get prizes. Well they don't even use 1/3 of the space for games now.
The theatre also feels old. It's a stone throw away from being a cheep dollar theatre. This includes the fact that they just tape to hold down the carpet, you can see the white wall patch jobs since they don't repaint.
Oh. And let's not forget the mouse I watch run along side the wall.
I love going here. It's quiet and you can always get seats. It's more self serve now so getting drinks is slower, but it's an adjustment as is any change.
It's a movie theater but not the most amazing. I'm hoping the seatings be updated to better seats. Sound is absolutely amazing in totally 360 degree surround experience. Last time there was to see Judy. Outside and the bathrooms need more attention.
If you have ever wanted a whole row or theatre to yourself this is your place. You will feel like you are at a private showing. We saw Star Wars there and it was pretty much just us.
Refills on popcorn, generous seats that recline.
My shoes didn’t stick to the floor. The staff is kind and courteous.
Paying $5 for parking may be a deterrent, as well as the rancid smells in the parkade entrance, but it’s all part of the adventure to go downtown, and catch a show.
The theatre is nice and quiet. Went to a movie at 6: 30 pm on a Friday and we were almost the only ones in the theatre. That said it's a little older and the sound wasn't great.
I live around the corner & thought I'd catch a show in the evening. If your show is at 9, they lock the gates soon after and it takes about ten minutes to unlock. I'm surprised they close so early since I've paid for & attended other theatres for last showings & gotten there without being shut out. Who likes to sit through 15 minutes of commercials?
The manager mentioned security reasons for early closure but they actually locked out two of their patrons. When I worked a box office, the manager would get us to wait 15 minutes for latecomers before cash out. At least I got a refund and otherwise the customer service is usually much better - two stars.
The theatre is nice, the popcorn is excellent, having a self-serve drink dispenser is nice, and the seats are very comfortable. The only reason for not getting 5 stars is having to pay $10 for parking
What the hell did you do to the popcorn? ! You do not simply mess with movie popcorn.it’s the best part of the cinematic experience, what sets the theatre apart from staying on your couch at home watching Netflix. You don’t see CocaCola messing with their recipe. McDonald’s messing with their Big Macs. Lays messing with the classic potato chips. Bring back the normal movie popcorn for the love of god
Good movie theatre! Central location and easy to get to using transit. Great for groups and university students, especially with the cheap Tuesdays. Friendly staff and clean washrooms. Seating in theatres are pretty decent too.
Just saw Endgame in 3D for $12.99 in very comfy reserved seats. The concession area was understaffed & a bit slow. I feel this was a far superior experience than any Cineplex.
Understaff. There were only 3 people in concession with a massive line up, have to wait almost an hour to get our food. I feel terrible for people who works here. They look very exausted taking 100+ customer per person! Manager should hire/put more people in concession.
