Decent AYCE sushi spot, some of the items lacked flavour (e.g. The salmon tataki wasn't good). The highlight is the unlimited steak bites and it's halal! They also have the deep fried buns soaked in condensed milk for dessert

Google said it's opened till 10pm. I showed up at 9: 15pm and told they're closed. Not impressed

If you've ever wanted to make your own tataki, this is one of the best places to do it. Grab the all you can eat and go to town with the sashimi, sear each side with soy sauce. Absolutely delicious, salmon and white tuna are the best for this.

Customer service was horrible! The tall man was very rude, he gave us an impatient look, and I just saw it. There was no smile throughout, very perfunctory service. The food is not fresh either. But the most I care is I think I saw a rat when I went to the washroom! Because that black thing flashed by the wall, so fast! And I didn't know what it could be but a rat!

Service really gone downhill and poor food quality. I wish there was an option to give zero stars. I’m not going back!

The servers are attentive, the kitchen is prompt, and the fish is fresh.
With a good variety of appetizers, maki, sashimi, and grilled items too, it's easy to get your money's worth. Just be careful you don't get so excited that you order more than you can eat

Had to change my review, this place has seriously gone downhill.the meat was disgusting and the service was almost non existant.how unfortunate.

Worst sushi and nigiri I've ever had. Tasted sour. Store bought sushi is way better. I will never order again. I couldn't even swallow the first bite.

Customer service was very poor. The tall man was very rude. We were new to the restaurant, and he treated us like we were nube. Despite having to repeat everything we say, the food was good.

Probably my favourite restaurant in Edmonton. It is quite pricey but you get as much food as you want and it is delivered very quickly. Once you get tired of sushi you can have more meat and after you get tired of that you can go back to meat. I really love this place!

The marinated meats were amazing. The sushi and sashimi were amazing, the overall quality of the food is top notch compared to even a few months ago.this place is amazing.

For a AYCE its great! You can order sushi and grill, i like the beef and lamb, you can bbq on your table, also the sesame ball so good, its fresh.

Waited 15 minutes to get served. No problem as they had two new staff working and were busy and kind. Ordered from their take out menu. After ordering a family tray, manager told server tell me that the two sashimi couldn't be ordered unless I was eating in despite the take out menu saying any 8 types and being listed on the take out menu. So either too cheap to print new menus or trying to push cheaper options. No thanks for wasting my time.

Good place for grilled meat and sushi. However I must mention right away there is no lava rock to cool your meat only electric smokeless grill. Too bad they do not do lava rock anymore like they did 5 years ago.

Anyways now that is out of the way, yes the sushi is good as well as the cooked mainly the chicken wings. I ordered Japanese gyoza and they are not good. Not prepare properly as it had no taste at all. Any cooked items you get one piece as it was not explained properly on the sheet.

You order the protein you want and cook it on the grill. Also season with salt and pepper. Though wish they gave sauce like they did back then as it would enhance the flavour of the beef sirloin or lamb strips.

Sushi is good. Dynamite is good. Smoked eel nigiri is good. Shrimp and avocado is good as well.

Also if you are going out with friends in groups, walk in together as you get 2 hour limit once you sit down. Make use of it as they will not give you another sheet once your 2 hours is up. If you walk in first and wait on your friends to arrive, you will lose a portion of your 2 hours seating time.

So great! Awesome service, fast, friendly, and he even helped us do the grill cooking correctly! Food was delicious and there were some different items from what we've had other places!

We came to try this restaurant with our family this evening. We filled out our sheets and the server told us he only needed one. We figured that meant they had large serving sizes as we were trying to order everything all at once. They brought out three of each (3 pieces of broccoli, 3 individual shrimp, etc) for my whole family of 5 to share. Later he brought another sheet for us to order again, but hadn’t explained that to us prior. It took an hour for our tiny meal to cook on the tiny grill, all of which we paid 90$ for. Going to the drive thru because we left hungry. The service was also bad, he only checked on us once and despite how displeased we were, he didn’t seem to care.

It was horrible.it was Definitely not fresh sushi.the Simon was off color it Taste like old fish.me and my husband love to eat sushi and sashimi witch it have to be fresh. Basically every weekend we go out to find a nice restaurant for it.sadly we ending up in this one it was so Disappointed. This is not the first time we tried in here.before COVID we comes here lots and everything was good. Now everything it’s changed the meat is not on the rock anymore and the meat taste bad too.the sushi is not fresh. I don’t think it’s the same owner used to be. I wish I take pic to show u but I was way to angry how bad it could be so we left not even in 20m there.

A well-intentioned place that doesn't nail the details, so overall I can't recommend their all you can eat sushi.

Best thing about it: no limit on sashimi. As the only AYCE place in Edmonton with this perk, I wish I could love it and make it my go to. Unfortunately, all the tuna was chewy and stringy where you'd expect buttery and soft. Same for the beef tataki: well seasoned, but thickly cut and full of gristle. You just end up with a tired jaw and an indigestible blob in your mouth.

And that's only when the food came. 45 minutes after ordering. It's completely unreasonable to mention a 2 hour dining limit when most of the first hour is spent waiting!

It was hard to watch the one waiter scuttle around as the sole person serving everyone. I think he was trying to be polite, but was too put upon to be warm or attentive. There also seemed to be only one person in the kitchen preparing orders.

I'll say the nigiri was good though, with a proper proportion of fish to rice. Again, the details: the rice was soft, but too warm. Their worst misstep however, was very watered down soy sauce!

Soy sauce is too important a component to the sushi experience to mess with. No, we did not ask for a low sodium bottle. It was thin, and maybe half as salty as it should be. Despite some quality nigiri and salmon sashimi, everything tasted pretty bland as a result.

Just for the "unlimited" sashimi (although I can't imagine the wait), this is 2/5. I hope they figure things out, but I won't be back to find out any time soon.

There was no lava rock as others have mentioned, only electric grills on your table. The service was a little slow but it was okay.

Sushi was mediocre, all other food we ordered were good. Would probably not return here again for the price and service.

Lava Rock was really good! Interior had a great vibe! The sushi tasty and sashimi was to die for! The grill aspects was super fun too! Shoutout to James for being a great server!

Got the food much later than the drive to the location. If the service is faster and less wait time maybe the 40$ each could be worthwhile.

Selection of food is great with excellent pricing. This is our go to place for ayce Japanese in Edmonton. Service is awesome as always.

The new electric grill is great, which also allows for more variety of foods to be grilled.

Been here weekend group of 4 there's only two front staff working and they're full house 15% Gratuity is not worth it, long wait for foods and refills.

I hate to give this place a one star review because the service was good and the food came out pretty fast. However, I was disapointed that I did not get to experience the hot rock grill like in the name and they once offered. The food quality was pretty poor for the $40, and the sushi gave me food poisoning.

Food was alright, selection was good. Slow service but I’ll give it a pass since it was Friday during the pandemic.

The most frustrating part was the assumptive, automatic 20% gratuity that was added onto the bill. We were a table of 4. I understand and agree with automatic gratuities on large parties, but c’mon. I would have tipped 20-25% regardless, but the sneakiness of gratuity is not professional. Tips must be earned.

Will not be going back.

Overall food was decent, but it was nothing to swoon or give high praises for.

Really slow service, which on a Friday night during the pandemic I can justify. However, it was not very busy and there were multiple staff.

The part that I really did not like was the restaurant automatically charged a 20% tip, giving no option to choose how much to tip.

As much as it pains me to say due to the current economic condition, we did not receive service that adequately justifies a 20% tip. (Please note: we were not a large party to justify a gratuity.)

Will not be going back unless we know this is not happening anymore.

Great service, first time having all u can eat sushi and was pretty good. Would have been 5 stars if the gyozas were better.
