WOW! Lazy Loaf exceeded all expectations today! Not only was the food was fantastic but the delivery guy went above and beyond to help us. I would order from this establishment a hundred times over. Thank you for your kindness and care, it was so greatly appreciated.
Best part of my Reuben was the pickle. Coffee was bad. Hash browns raw. Partners omelette was rubber, so were the ingredients. Shared a piece of very good toast. My suggestion would be skip paying $50+. Order toast and bring your own coffee. Crowded. Every one had to bus their own tables. Needed cutlery since server didn’t know soup from hash browns (literally). Had to wait for it until she finished Texting. Used to love the place. Last visit here was the same. Apparently it was not a one off. Won’t return.
Cozy and delicious. A hidden gem, the atmosphere is as comforting as their food. Bonus is it is self serve so there is no waiting for a waiter to come around to pay when you’re done. Can get quite busy.
My whole family went for brunch today. I had most horrible customer service experience. It took forever to get to the counter to order. The girl at the counter was very rude and arrogant. Served cold food. When I asked for manager, she had the audacity to pose as manager, faked apology. We had to walk out with extreme disappointment and disgust. Will never go back.
Great for a quick coffee and snack. Meal dishes are quite expensive but pastries and breakfast sandwich good quality for a lower price. Eat in was pleasant and we'll spaced.
Great service for a full house. Sandwiches were amazing. Puffed wheat square was a delight. I wanted one of all their baked items lol. Highly recommend.
Went there close couple weeks ago. Had veggie sandwich. Personally was okay for me. Had lots of veggies though. Had a vegan dessert- trying to recall & think it was a date type of square. Unfortunately, found it not so great. It was very mushy in content as well which made eating longer. Glad they did try to incorporate any vegan option. Nice staff.
Extremely disappointing experience. We ordered eggs Benedict with soft poached egg what we received as you can see in the photo was a hard poached egg when we mention it to a staff member that the eggs were cooked incorrectly instead of offering to correct the situation by remaking our meals or refunding us, he instead offered a loaf of bread when my friend who it was her Birthday brunch asked if she could have a slice of cake instead for her birthday the gentleman then mentioned that was too expensive an item to replace the meal which I will add is a $19 eggs Benedict for a price point like this you think that the meal would’ve been a higher quality overall extremely disappointed in the service at this establishment and I will not be recommending anyone to go here and I will never return myself.
Great food! This is one of our "lunch treat" places. The sandwiches are nice and large, and tasty! They also have a selection of baked goods on display.
Fresh baked goods and friendly staff. Have an extended patio which is great as it is always hard to get a table inside. The carrot loaf and turtle brownie are to die for!
Visiting from Edmonton and decided to give this place a try, seriously the best food I have EVER had! Good prices for a lot of food, great service, and amazinggggg bread! Lol we will be going out of out way on our way home to come back!
Great little cafe and eatery. Loved our breakfast and the staff were super friendly. Washrooms were clean. Lots of room to sit inside and out. Ample parking near by. Coffee was spot on. We bought a couple bags and so far so good!
I've been here once before and had a decent experience, however I was disappointed with my experience yesterday.
On my way to have lunch at Edworthy park, I stopped in shortly before noon to grab a sandwich and a salad. I waited about 20 minutes, which was fair given the lunch rush. I grabbed my lunch once it was ready and headed out as I was in a hurry, and I was disappointed once I finally opened the bag to discover my sandwich was poorly wrapped on a Styrofoam plate covered in tinfoil, which allowed the sauce to leak into the brown bag and into my personal tote that I had put it in. The sandwich wasn't too big for a traditional carry-out box so it's confusing to me why they wouldn't invest in proper carry-out boxes?
And if that wasn't enough, I opened my Caesar salad and was really grossed out to find wilting lettuce and fruit flies. I want to sincerely believe this was just a really unfortunate mishap but I feel uneasy about returning as a customer anytime soon.
Best home made sandwiches in town. Lots of options to choose from and always made pretty quickly. They also have a “lazy tea” which is a rotating iced tea which is really good.
Great place for an afternoon snack. I had the grilled cheese and the st. Patrick’s day cheescake, which were both great. Coffee was fine. Overall, nice cute old-timer kind of place (established in 1994 apparently).
Sure it’s tasty and fresh.and I don’t know if this is regular priced or maybe cause if COVID but 8$ for this? ! And this was the full thing I didn’t already eat half this was for half a sandwich.
Ordered a birthday cake from here and could not have been more pleased! The cake was delicious, beautiful and reasonably priced! Thank you so much for the amazing work!
Not really sure what I think about this place the food was not that great they messed up my order multiple times but if you like 7 grain carrot toast then this place is for you
A nice cozy environment decorated with art from local artists, with plenty of spaces to sit and eat. They have a nice selection of drinks and food. We got the meat lasagna and shepherds pie which both came with a side (soup or salad). The shepherds pie came later but it was worth the wait! Kale salad had poppy seeds which gave it a nice crunch and had a light dressing. The staff were friendly and we will definitely go back to try a dessert (explosion cake peaked our interest)
They definitely have wonderful dessert options but their sandwich was way overpriced. Nearly $12 for a simple build-your-own sandwich that you could make for less than $5 on your own. The rest of the menu I have no tried but based on that alone, I would not go back except for the desserts.
It's a nice place. Super close to a beautiful path by the river, with tasty sandwiches, and delicious "ginger cream cookies". Seems a little overpriced to me, but nice overall.
Good is reasonably good, but overpriced. This case feels crowded right from getting in the door, even if half the tables are empty because of the way the counters are set up. You can't read the menu until you're right at the till, so this slows the line down, significantly. Needs fewer obstructions; larger, clearer text; better line layout, and better prices. I would eat there again, but it won't be any time soon.
Went to the Lazy Loaf & Kettle just this afternoon and was pleasantly surprised by not only the variety of options for food and drinks but also by the friendliness and efficiency of the staff! Our food came out very quickly and did not disappoint, and they made the best London fog I've had in a very long time!
Perfect place for a bite to eat or a sweet treat, and only a hop and a skip away from the hospital if you need something close!
They got so many delicious desserts, but last time I got salad and asked add a chicken which costed 4+$, and actually I don’t think it was a chicken, tasted like ham, and I hardly could find in my salad. So I think 4+$ it’s way overpriced for little piece of ham, which I think you should mention it in menu, that it’s not chicken!
Staff was friendly, food was good, place was busy; try not to make a left turn into the place or else you're going to block traffic for minutes at a time waiting for a chance to turn.
Great local spot, baked goods are packed with flavour, cappuccino foam is rich and creamy. Sandwiches are customizable. Cork board of community things and close walk to the bow river.
Lazy loaf is a queen little cafe / bakery that has amazing products and good service. It can be extremely busy so unless you're there first thing in the morning expect to wait,
All their coffee is on point. Baked goods and morning sandwiches are always delicious, and I can never resist the croissants! Also, very friendly staff, comfortable seating.
Delcious assortment of baked goods, sandwiches and soups. Great breakfast. Love all the teas and coffee. Parking can be a bit of a pain but otherwise love coming here pre/post work!
Very good quality food. Price reflects that. The lunch soup is always homemade and very tasty. Sandwiches are substantial on their own bakery bread. My soup came missing my side bun. Very busy on a Sunday. Seating is at a premium.
Unfortunately after todays service I will not be back. Came in just before 2pm to order a sandwich to go and didn't leave until 2: 27pm. I get that it is Saturday and the cafe is very busy but to wait that long for a cold sandwich.and then when I asked to check on my order it was always an inconvenience to the staff member I checked with. 2 people that ordered after me got their order much quicker. I was checking with the staff on my order as I assumed it had been forgotten. The initial conversation was friendly and said it would only be another 1-2 minute wait. But when I followed up 10 minutes after that initial check in I was really only offered an eye roll. Food is always good, no complaints but for me the service was poor enough today that I will not be back.
Lovely atmosphere and large menu! There's lots of fresh breads, amazing desserts (would highly recommend the turtle brownie), and the salads are delicious as well. The artwork is cute and there's even a stand-up piano! Friendly staff and nice location. There's also outdoor seating which is great in summer:)
I love this placewheni am in the area! Great sandwiches, soups and more. I had the days special and a London fig with fantastic chocolate cake.its hard to pick what to try, I'll just have to back.
