In 2020 my husband and I started our kitchen and bathroom renovations very excited that our good friend was going to be our project coordinator. Everything was running fairly smoothly until the boat blocked the Panama Canal. Our taps were delayed 45 days. No problem we didn’t complain once, we just washed our hands in our laundry sink in the basement or the tub upstairs. When the taps came in, my dad died leaving us to help my mom deal with her grief and dementia. The coordinators husband who doesn’t work or contract to Legacy phoned my wife yelling at her about the project not being completed. Neither Legacy or the coordinator has ever apologized to our family for their disrespectful and unprofessional conduct. You may feel it’s just about the loss of a friend but it was about Legacy condoning your staff’s breach of the confidentiality of our contract. I never once complained about the delays on the taps. Furthermore she had No Business going home to her husband and discussing the amount that wasn’t due until the work was completed. Please explain how her conduct is ethical, Legacy has not taken responsibility or acknowledged the lack of accountability.

I had the pleasure of working with Legacy Kitchen for my kitchen renovation last year, and I couldn't be happier with the results. From start to finish, the team displayed a remarkable level of professionalism and expertise. Allison, Annette, and Brad were exceptional in their respective roles - Allison's design insights were invaluable, Annette's project coordination kept everything on track, and Martin's installation work was impeccable. The Legacy Kitchen team turned my vision into reality, and I'm grateful for their hard work and dedication. Highly recommend their services to anyone considering a kitchen renovation!

A couple weeks ago my husband and I went to Legacy Kitchen to get a quote to add cabinets into our dining room that match our kitchen. Legacy just finished our kitchen, through our building only 3 months prior. No one greeted us or even acknowledged us for a good 20 minutes.when someone finally did, I told them exactly what I wanted, size, colour, everything + they had our floor plans and selections from our build.

Three weeks later, nothing. When we left the store, we were told the quote would come later that week. I called and left a message later in the week with Stephanie. No answer. Called the following week. She said she would have it to me by end of day. Nothing. Called a third time and left a voicemail. Nothing.

I wouldn't bother wasting your time since they don't even try to acknowledge their customers.

Requested a design consultation on-line 2 1/2 weeks ago. Received an email from Allison Pilbeam and emailed her back on Mar 23rd but still no response. Design consultation still is not booked. This is very disappointing & an indication that our kitchen renovation is not important to Legacy Kitchens so will take our business elsewhere.

PRO TIP: contact multiwood to buy cabinets directly without the dealer markup My wife and I went in to purchase a kitchen, left our blueprints with clear instructions and our sales associate Jason contacted us almost 3 months later blaming family emergencies for the forgetting of him giving us a quote. Then, after 3 months of not hearing a thing he instead of doing the quote he emailed us to ask if we still wanted a quote. ‍️ we bought from a company more reliable.

Does Legacy intend to uphold their commitments for the contract at my residence? Because I’m feeling completely left out to dry here.

-ORIGINAL INSTALL DATE WAS AUGUST 2022.
• No communication around the "replacement components" since November 17th (It's now January 20th, 2023)
• Poor quality product (doors) installed originally in August
• Poor quality replacements installed in October (requiring another re-order) These doors were WORSE than the original ones installed.
• Poor quality replacements shipped to Legacy again in November, with client (myself) asking your team to actually review the product before coming to install again and inconveniencing me (product not acceptable, pushed again, and told someone would follow up)
• If my interior cabinets get ONE small drop of water on them…they blister like crazy. Not impressed with this cheap veneer material and want to discuss this with someone. Literally, one small drop, and it starts bubbling up. Now I have to rigorously ensure all of my dishes are 110% dry.
• I’ve been looking at the cabinets over and over since the issues started- and the quality is sub-par poor- EVEN on the doors that have been replaced already. I compared them to some Home Depot and IKEA cabinets some of my colleagues/friends purchased- and the quality of those looks much better than mine.

I paid a premium price to purchase these cabinets from Legacy, I didn’t go to home depot or Ikea for a specific reason- and that was to NOT have quality product issues.
Now here I am, almost 5 months after our original install…and Legacy has failed to make good on delivering the original product I ordered that meets their own standards.

And…to top it all off, I find myself (as the client) continually having to follow up for updates… now I haven’t heard from Legacy since November 17th…. What’s the rational for that?

I’m ready to reach out to your ownership group, as this whole experience has put a bad taste in my mouth, and I feel that I overpaid for an ultimately sub-par product from Legacy.

The worst part is, that all they do is “blame their supplier kitchen craft. But legacy is more then happy to take 90% or your money by the date of install, and install something they know is poor quality and will need to replaced.

Sincerely, one very un-happy client.

Great showroom with lots of different cabinets options. And the sales lady is very helpful and knowledgeable about the kitchen renos. Definitely a good recommendation if you're looking for cabinets.

We met with Michael Burr, an excellent designer. He walked us through the steps and choices (so many available). Great displays to see the variety of cabinets to pick from. Lots of decisions ahead for us but we left with samples and a list of options to consider. Great information meeting!

I had small kitchen cabinets in stalled, they emailed me told me everything, was good to go, upon working in it they realized that they weee missing drawers, I asked why that wasn’t caught before they installed and I was told they don’t check the order before sending it out to clients house, I then had to wait even longer to get them in sales and after that they were still missing the lazy Susan, how a company can tell a client that everything is ready to go with out checking the inventory is crazy very n professional. Would not recommend.

The end product of our renovation is brilliant. Every time I walk into our kitchen, I love it. The look of it, both the product and the quality installation

We had Legacy Kitchens put in pull-out drawers in a pantry, build in a walnut desk and add a back cabinet to an existing walnut and granite bar. Their designer, Arno, worked with us to make it 'just right'! I come from a family of carpenters, and really appreciate good craftsmanship. All of their people did 'exactly' what they needed to do to complete these remodeling projects. We are 100% happy with our decision to go with Legacy Kitchens.

I would highly recommend Legacy Kitchens. The entire process was a great experience.
Steve and the entire team did a fabulous job renovating our kitchen and mudroom without it being a nightmare. Any questions or concerns we had along the way were answered promptly and professionally. The follow-up afterwards was also appreciated to make sure we were completely happy with the job.thank you to the entire team for making our dream kitchen a reality!

I am delighted to share my Legacy renovation story. This was such a positive experience overall.

Working from home for 4 months during COVID-19 and staring at all the things that “bugged” me about the poor finishing work and wear and tear of my 12 year old kitchen led me to Legacy’s door. I walked into the Calgary showroom to “check this place out” and was introduced to Allison Pillbeam, Designer.

I explained to Allison what I was looking to do for a new kitchen and showed her pictures of what was existing. My thought was that I would keep the same layout as it was very functional and perfect for my needs. I also wanted to maintain the warmth that the existing wood cabinetry created. Allison walked me through a few options including doing a color match; which is the choice I made in the end. And seriously, Legacy’s experts understand color match!

Legacy handled all facets of the renovation and coordinated the various trades to perfection. We ran into a snag (not Legacy’s doing) about 85% through the project which resulted in the existing bulkhead having to be removed and rebuilt due to unlevel issues; causing a one week delay to complete. The team reacted quickly to the change in scope, schedules were adjusted and the contractor fit the additional work in.

A huge thank you to the team who made it all happen.

Allison Pillbeam, Designer; she understands the client and is very knowledgeable and able to recommend design features to bring the project to the next level of excellence and functionality.
Dan Barden, Project Manager extraordinaire. Friendly, polite and understands the client and is able to troubleshoot expeditiously. Marc Seguin, phenomenal and experienced carpenter with excellent organizational skills. Adrian the plumber, friendly, accurate and quick to respond. Derek and Tyler, electricians; they really know their stuff and have a very good understanding of the client’s wishes. May Laudy who very efficiently keeps the client up to date on the schedule; this is very helpful! HGB Stone, who expertly and efficiently installed our Quartz countertop. Heidi Smethurst whose amazing design expertise helped with the selection of backsplash tile and paint options and who also sourced the very skilled tiler, Attila.

We are THRILLED with our new kitchen and can highly recommend Legacy for your project.

We recently completed a renovation through Legacy Kitchens, and from the first contact made with them right through to the completion of it, the experience exceeded our expectations. We worked with Michael in the design process and his professionalism, knowledge, quick response time and patience instilled in us a confidence that this project would go well. We appreciated his understanding when we decided to put the project on hold for a few months during the peak of Covid.
Each of the trades displayed professionalism, knowledge and skill and kept the project on track to finish on the date which was originally given us at the start. Thanks to Michael, Marc, Adrian, Derek, Dan and May for superior service.
Without hesitation, we would recommend Legacy Kitchens. They are a company that has been in business for many years and it's easy to understand why.

I am very happy with my Legacy Kitchen and Laundry room. I have used them before in another house and so I knew that the product was of good quality, and that they want you to be happy with the final product. Our installer Martin was a true craftsman, and very helpful with some of the details such as how to incorporate under cabinet lighting which we were responsible for into our design. Andre the final service technician did all he could to make sure all the little details were taken care of at the end of the project. Overall I am very happy with Legacy and would use them again!

Steve K, our Legacy Kitchen Designer, was amazing. He made things fun and easy. He was very detailed. I changed my mind a few times during the design process, and he was always pleasant about it. He took my suggestions, but wasn't afraid to tell me when he thought things wouldn't work or look good. He was great at getting me to see what the final design would look like. I would use Legacy Kitchens again, and I have recommended them. "

My partner and I popped into this kitchen place because we need to redo our kitchen, upon entering no one acknowledge us. We waited 15 mins while the receptionist put through an order for what looked like an already existing customer.she never even acknowledged us even though she easily could have since the customer wasn't even talking to her. Needless to say once we were finally greeted it felt as though we were an inconvenience for them since we didn't have a scheduled appointment. We left and won't ever be returning to this store!

Paul Wadel did an amazing job in working within our budget to design an amazing kitchen that met our needs and exceed our expectations through experience and thoughtful design. During challenging supply chain times, they were able to constantly and quickly adjust schedules as needed while always keeping us informed and involved in the conversations. Everyone contractor was friendly and invested in not only completing the work but willing to do extra here and there as we saw the renovation develop. Without a doubt 5/5. Contractors that contributed and are included in this review. Paul Phillips - Drywall. Dan Bryonton - Rock Solid Renovations, Dan Barden - PM, Caldonian Plumbing, Windchester Electric, Ion the tiler and other Plumber Bryan who's company name I forget.

Although the majority of my experience with Legacy was great there were a couple of things that prevent me from giving the full 5.

When we first did the design of the kitchen Kellie (the Designer who was great to work with) made some assumptions about the size of the farm sink until we could give her the model number of the actual sink. Which was fine, we just didn't get an updated set of drawings with new cabinet sizes. So when I had a plumber come in to move the plumbing I based my layout on a 36" base cabinet when it should have been 34 1/2".

The project manager said it was probably a verbal.and it very well may have been but it would have been at least 4 months earlier. Surely I could have gotten updated drawings in that time.

One of the base cabinets was made 1/2" too wide and we had to add a 1/2" filler strip to the dishwasher gable.

In the end it shifted the island around 3/4" to 1". It's not much but it made getting the fridge back in a little more difficult.

I never did meet the project manager, only talked to her on the phone and through email. I know it was Covid but I met with everyone else face to face.

All in all is was a great experience with Legacy, just those couple of things that prevent a full 5. Kellie our designer was great, very pleasant with great input when needed. Our installer Martin was great. Always on time, very pleasant and interesting fellow, did great work quickly and accommodated us (as much as possible) with cutting in the garage. The field supervisor Ryan was very prompt and took care of the final details.

Recommend Legacy Kitchens for your next project.
