Leitch Collieries Provincial Historic Site

This place is immersive and the trails are beautiful. It's great to see it being preserved, and though we didn't expect it, we appreciated that there were bathrooms on site, as well.

Good place. Great History. Nice walk through the historic site and to the washroom downstairs.

Conveniently situated by the highway, offering ample parking for visitors. The site features well-paved pathways with abundant informative displays. Exploring the site provides a wealth of knowledge about the collieries and their significance.

Lots of fascinating history about the area and coal mining in general. Clearly well taken care of and the picnic benches allowed for a nice rest stop on our journey

This is a good rest stop. There is a lot to see, so you can spend a little or a lot of time exploring the ruins of this old coal cooking facility.

Clean and well kept. This site is a must to stop at and a great history lesson. I remember going as a kid and know showing my kids

Interesting piece of history to wander through. Ruins are in good shape and quite photographic.

It does not officially open til May 1, but you can walk around and read information and look at the old structures. Just remember the only thing you can't do until then is use the bathroom.
