We didn’t end up buying a vehicle here, but Brooke Ferguson is such a great sales person, and I wanted to let everyone know we think she is fantastic! If your in the market for a vehicle I recommend talking to her.

I recently had purchased a Nissan kicks from another car dealership in Lethbridge. Needless to say I had nothing but issues. A friend I work with Recommend TruckTown. I then decided to check them out. I was pleasantly surprised. From the first conversation with Brooke to the in person meeting with both Brooke and Gord. They most definitely went above and beyond for me. I thank you both so much for making such a great impression. I will be sure to refer anyone who is looking for a new set of wheels:)

I purchased a vehicle from here back in August 2023.
Overall, I do have to say that my experience buying from Lethbridge Trucktown was a largely positive experience. The staff here are all very happy and eager people who certainly do treat you like family.

The main reason for my lack of a full 5 star rating has more to do with some very specific 'quirks' that affected my overall opinion of the dealership.

Now, to emphasize, my opinions here are entirely my own and my approach to buying vehicles tends to prefer precise clarity in all transaction along with having no pressure applied as part of the sales process.

That being said, here were my 2 main reasons for not giving this dealership a 5/5.1. Price Inflexibility: As other reviews here have stated, Lethbridge Trucktown does not negotiate discounts on their vehicles pretty much under any circumstance. I do unfortunately feel this is to their detriment. This is one singular point is most of the reason for my lack of a 5th star. Throughout the negotiation process, even if you do your homework and state all of your concerns about a vehicle you intend to purchase, there is a very adamant attachment to the price they set. Now, they will attempt to discount anything else (like extended warranties) or order in parts to patch an issue, but they will, under no circumstance discount the price of the vehicle. In my case, I did have valid concerns about a vehicle I was intending to purchase with regards to potential future maintenance costs due to the vehicle's prior history.however this only resulted in a discount to the extended warranty of the vehicle. Now I don't perceive this on its own as the wrong way to go about this but not everyone is interested or should be forced into needing extended warranty if they feel they don't need it. In my case, I would have only taken a discount to the vehicle's cost. Ultimately, I ended going with another vehicle they had on the lot with a far less concerning Carfax report that I am currently very happy with. Now the explanation I got for this inflexibility is that the vehicles they have are not really marked up. That certainly does appear to be true for the most part, but a quick look to dealerships in Calgary will often yield better priced results in the same model/trim/mileage. So, be sure to check cargurus or autotrader to ensure you're getting the best bang for your buck. In my circumstance, the vehicle I ended up ultimately buying was about around $1000 higher than the exact same vehicle found in Calgary, but I ultimately went with Lethbridge Trucktown because I had already created a rapport with staff.

2. Fee Ambiguity: This one did concern me. When financing a vehicle, there is a roughly $500 fee for financing which from my understanding is normal unless you want to find your own financing. What was very concerning though was the inclusion of a secondary $500 charge that was explained initially as a "vinyl, fabric" protection fee. What bothered me most is that my initial quotation had all the "fees" under a single category. So the $500 financing fee was lumped in together with the $500 "fabric/vinyl" protection fee. So all I saw initially was a $1000 section for "fees" but no breakdown as to what those fees were. To me, this did come up as a bit of a red flag. I would have preferred a very clearly made brochure or article detailing exactly what this misc. $500 "protection" fee was. Now I was told, that the fee was optional and I did have it removed. However, I am still unsettled by this fee never being disclosed until I asked about it. Now there is a good chance this protection fee may have been something I might have been interested in, but the way in which I had to inquire about it, made me seek to remove it entirely.

I will reiterate though, that my experience with this dealership was generally positive. My only concern is the dealership’s adamant stance on their price and some ambiguity regarding their fees.

Now would I recommend them to a friend? Yes, but not as a first choice.

Lethbridge Truck Town is a place you can trust to have all your vehicle buying needs met from start to finish. They not only have a very high retention for returning customers but they are there for you even after you purchase a vehicle from them. Great job Lethbridge Truck Town team!

I've purchased vehicles from Lethbridge Truck Town a few times now, both for work use and personal use. They have been awesome to deal with. All of the friends I have referred to them have also said they had great experiences with the team there. Quick, reasonable and transparent service when purchasing vehicles and not to mention great deals! Will happily buy vehicles from them again if they have something I am looking for.

This place is a good place with good deals on vehicles, but do not ask too many questions other wise the guy inside will get mad. I had a few questions and he got mad (not very child friendly) (that guy not very polite either to native customers) they do take advantage of native customers tho so that is bad. Be careful out there.

Was talking to Jessa Smith about getting into a 2017 VW Jetta. Was told I had to wait for an inspection the day I was going for a test drive. The vehicle wasn't ready that night. So I waited till the following day when I was told that the vehicle was already sold to someone else. I figured since I was actively talking to a sales agent about the vehicle that it would he mine. Guess not. I'm also glad I left a different deal for a different vehicle and ended up a square one again. Would not recommend doing business here unless you can go buy the vehicle the same day. They'll just get your hopes up and leave you hanging.

Tried selling us a car with a blown turbo, which they obviously knew about as it had been sitting on the lot for over 2 months and was operating at less than half of normal power. Going up the hill the car was actually losing speed at full throttle. They didn’t seem very surprised when we brought up the blown turbo.

Bought a vehicle from them march 2022, inspection said it was all good to go, took our first big trip with in beggining of April and took it to dealership on our vacation and turned out needed about $5,000 of repairs including all brake pads even tho told they were over half there life left. Just want to warn everyone to be careful when purchasing from truck town, maybe get a peace of mind inspection done by a 3rd party before signing anything

David Lecompte is my go to guy at Lethbridge Trucktown. After getting in an accident and finding out my vehicle was a write off, I reached out to David about coming to test drive some new vehicles. David came in on his day off to assist me in order to get me on the road as soon as possible. Quick and easy process, and always a good experience when I am at Trucktown.

My partner & I went a couple days ago to view a suv we were almost sure on buying but needed a couple days to think it over as we were told by David he’d would get us “the best price”. Only to find out today that they do not negotiate on prices? David not only mislead us into thinking we’d possibly get a better deal, he hardly knew anything about the vehicle he was trying to sell, & he couldn’t hold a conversation. David & his team lost out on a sale. I wouldn’t recommend going to this lot as they will mislead you.
