Literally the worst company I've EVER dealt with. Do anything and I mean anything to not use this company or sign a contract with them. Getting my account set up in the beginning was an absolute disaster which should of been a red flag. Scheduled appointments to install were constantly changed and missed. Once they finally showed up I got a old guy that came to install which was slower then molasses and had to constantly call for help. Another guy showed up also who didn't seem to know what he was doing. They finished the install which took ALOT longer then it was supposed to even though basically all wires were already ran from my existing company (vivint who I miss dearly)! Once they finally got everything installed they failed to even set up my account so I couldn't even use it for a couple days. When I called in there was no account for me and was told I didn't even have an account with them. A couple phone calls to them and they fought with me telling me I didn't even have an account. I wish at that moment I would of seen the multiple red flags waving furiously in front of my page and ran for the hills but nope I decided to still give them a chance and man was that the worst decision I've ever made. I have wires hanging out of plugs in a house with kids. I have a system that struggles to work on a good day. I have a doorbell that stopped working only a few months after install and was told I had to test it myself and after knowing about if for a few months they still haven't done a thing about it. I have constant false alarms for fire and water detectors. I have an app that struggles to work and is horrible. I have a water detector that has on multiple occasions gone off over 50+ times In a day. When you call in they are always closed, don't answer or don't ever get back to you. They are hands down the absolute worst security company you could ever even think about calling. Trust me and save yourself the headache and DO NOT I REPEAT DO NOT sign a contract with these crooks. I will do anything to help somebody ending up in the same horrible position I'm in. I've never regretted something so much in my life as letting these guys put anything in my house. Please avoid this company!

Abysmal customer service. I haven’t even gotten a chance to get a quote before I was shown horrible customer service by Jackson Scott. I reached out asking for a quote. He emailed back asking if we could chat on the phone. I indicated that my career made it near impossible to chat during regular business hours, and told him when it would be best to contact me. Again he tried contacting me during hours I could not be reached (which meant he clearly did not read my email!) Then tonight I received a very unprofessional email with bad grammar, and no signature, accusing me of being a bot. I certainly can’t trust a SECURITY company with my property’s and family’s safety if their customer service is garbage and their employees are unprofessional. I suggest Liberty Security enforce professionalism with their employees, and perhaps a bit better customer service. I will look elsewhere for my security, as right off the batt they lost my confidence in 1 interaction.

I recently changed my security system to Liberty. I was reasonably happy with my old system provider until they were bought out by one of the big Canadian telecom companies, after which even the simplest account or system enquiries required speaking to multiple people and took way too long. Left me with a complete lack of confidence so I was done. Spent a few weeks researching systems and enquiring with service providers. After a single detailed conversation with Jackson at Liberty, all my technical questions were answered, we were able to figure out what pieces from my existing system could be incorporated into the Liberty ecosystem, I added some devices my old provider would not support and I had a competitive offer with no messing around and my time respected. I honesty thought I’d be paying a premium over my old system for this level of service and size/ quality of system but was not the case. Confidence found and contract signed! Fast forward 1 week, technician Adrian shows up bang on time gets everything installed and functioning, incorporates the existing devices into the new system, walks me through the desktop and app interfaces and sets up a few very useful automations for me. The system is awesome, the notifications, automations and scenes you can setup are only limited by your imagination. Person detection actually works and doesn’t send me erroneous notification’s. Bottom line, if you value your time and are willing to pay a fair price for a top notch professional system, include Liberty in your shortlist and see if you can get through to Jackson.

Complete Scam! They offer a great introductory offer and then lock into an absurdly long contract that they claim you can't cancel. Doesn't matter if you are moving or don't need the service anymore, they'll continue to make you pay and the call centre is no help - they just read from the script! Stay away! Stay away!

I am so happy that our real estate agent told us to go with Jackson with liberty security, our service and installation was top notch. I would recommend anyone looking for security systems to ask for Jackson at liberty!

The sales person (Brock) was very professional and helpful. He worked with us to ensure our needs were met. The installer was also very good. He was on time, cleaned up after completing his work and went over the equipment with us.

Following the passing of my grandparents Liberty contacted me for device return and payment of the remaining 4 years on their contract, offering to only hold the estate to pay 50% of the contract.hundreds of dollars.
Jasmine Litke upon being made aware the contract is being terminated due to death, provided excellent service and compassion on the closing of this account. The device was returned and only the outstanding months were due, not the remaining balance.
Highly recommend working with people powered companies with humanity at the core of operations.

My experience with Liberty was awesome from start to finish. The salesperson Brock was helpful and the technician was knowledgeable and efficient. They made switching from Telus a breeze.

I am so unhappy with the entire experience i have had with 1.turnip and 2. Liberty security
The switch over between these two companies was THE worst change over i have ever been a part of. I couldn't get ahold of anyone for over a year and i have to fight to get what i'm paying for because (in the words of the customer service rep) Liberty already bought the contract from turnip so they want me to continue paying until 2025 EVERY MONTH for a system that has never worked properly and Turnip gave me no guidance on! In retrospect I see now they were trying to get a bunch of new customers to inflate their numbers so someone would buy them.i have two units in my house that don't work and an alarm system I don't understand how to use and I am paying EVERY MONTH FOR THIs! DO NOT GET AN ALARM SYSTEM FROM THIS COMPANY.

I have been trying to get in touch with someone in the organization, to clarify some issues, and expedite some requests. However, i kept getting tossed around in a loophole by different people. I eventually got in touch with Melanie Simpson, whom i have nothing but effusive praise for.

She actually listens, and is willing to go over and beyond to help you out, even when the outcome doesn't seem to go her way. She is an asset, and I would totally recommend her to anyone

Both Brock and Blair were very pleasant and friendly to talk to. They provided detailed information about what they have to offer and answered any questions I had. They even suggested which system and what equipment they thought was best for my need They reasonably priced. I will recommend them if you're looking for a security system.

Terrible customer service! Have been trying to close the account due to the sale of the home. They won't close it. I was explaining I can't use the services where I am at the moment otherwise I would have kept them.
Looks like they have no managers in charge to advise on options in such situations.

Update: After so much back and forth still not getting anywhere with this company.

We decided to put home security in our home and phoned around to talk to different companies. Jackson with Liberty was very helpful in explaining everything. We had an issue with the old door charm wiring that vivint had done. Jackson got an electrician (Justin) come and sort out the problem. Our back doorbell now works too.
We are very happen with everything and glad we went with Liberty. Telus was not very helpful in explaining things and glad we did not go with Telus.

Complete nightmare to deal with! I have been passed around from rep to rep and it's a different story every time. I had 5 years of good service and I regrettably renewed my contract after calling to cancel and being offered the same offer from telus.not knowing at the time one of the pieces of equipment was not compatible with other services in my home, the only alarm company that isn't compatible with it, ironically. Before it was even installed I stated I didn't want it if it wasnt compatible. Tech confirmed it wasn't. Then insisted i try it out and they'd remove it if i didn't like it. I called right away to let them know I didn't want this equipment installed from the get go and tried to explain that I had a short window to exit this contract without penalty to Farhanna and would like this resolved before that and because I would be going away on vacation in a couple weeks. She assured me someone would call before the cancelation window closed. A week later I still had not received a call back and was assured by her again that I would get a call back tomorrow or the day after. No one called. While on vacation, almost 3 weeks after my first call a loyalty rep named Harman proceeded to gas light me and said it was too bad my window to cancel passed (doesn't matter if liberty took 3 weeks to call me back) basically said too bad I'd have to pay if I wanted a tech to remove this equipment that I said I didn't want installed in the first place. It's a good thing a tech did come because we found out the first tech misplaced pieces of my original equipment. I didn't think it was fair I had to pay after my wishes were ignored and asked to speak to someone else. She promised a 4 month credit for the return of the thermostat but she'd need approval for the "free" tech call.imagine if I'd been listened to and it hadn't been installed in the first place maybe a "free" service call would not have been necessary but she was relentless in not admitting any fault on liberty's side. The equipment was removed and I see a new charge so I call back to be told Harman left no notes about a credit. She put me on hold and tells me that surprise! There are notes after all except they are about the credit not being offered anymore and these notes now say that Harman supposedly told me if they send a tech out for "free" instead of $70.00 then I don't get the credit of 4 months (worth well over $70.00) the problem is, Harman never explained this and these notes are a complete lie. I am currently waiting for another call back about this new issue and to have this call pulled. I've been back and forth for the last month and a half getting different information literally every time I call. Even the latest rep was difficult to deal with saying she was going to put down "her version " of the call that said I wanted 6 months credit when I apologized and said it was for 4 not 6 she cut me off and said I could take my 6 vs. 4 mistake up with whoever I spoke with. No one takes accountability for all the misinformation, everyone says the other person is wrong. The pettiness is disgusting. I wish I never renewed and went with telus. Whatever you do, don't trust what the reps say (some of them are definitely awesome to deal with but others do not care whatsoever) be sure to record all your calls because they will lie in their notes. I never write bad reviews but people need to warned about this shady behavior with these 2 reps in particular.

They gave me great service. Very quick on getting back with information. Showed up on the times they had booked for installation. I had my home security with them for the last 7 years. Just had my home updated and added my business with them. Thanks again
