Lina's, Italian Piazza

Was so looking forward to the Inglewood Breakfast of eggs, bacon, hash browns, toast and baked tomato (I treat myself every few months). It was disappointing to learn they no longer serve it. Besides breakfast pizzas and sandwiches, there were 2 frittatas. I chose the carne instead of the garden. Although a good portion, there was no seasoning and absolutely nothing in the frittata but the egg and sausage. Some flavour, some greens, and a bit of presentation on the plate would have gone a long way.

Very small portions, very expensive. I had a lasagna for $11 it was definitely a disappointment. With $11 you can have a better meal in many places in Inglewood.

Great Italian supermarket with the addition of the option of killer slices make this a crucial stop in Inglewood

This place gets worse every time I visit. They have hired new people in all departments who don't know the basic rules of costumers service.

Asian woman in the meat department. I came on a recommendation to buy meat and asked me to cut a sample to try, she gave me an annoyed look and cut me a piece the size of my fingernail which was more a skin not meat …then she asked if I’m going to take it and I said with a smile that it’s hard to tell because you gave me the smallest piece…. She immediately turned around and didn’t even listen what I said next, I asked if it possible to try another one, but she came with bigger piece of previous, when I refused she grabbed that piece and started complaining that she cut it specifically for me and I should’ve told here earlier…her tone was very disrespectful and I ask why are you so rude, she started complaining again and I just simply didn’t want to buy anything at all.

Then I went to grab some coffee and asked for latte, which was tasting more as espresso.

And also reviews about taste of pizza is really true unfortunately.

I work close and I was a regular customer, but not anymore. Thank you

I have visited this place multiple times and while it was good initially, my recent experience was disappointing.

I have one review for their cafe and one review for their kitchen.

For the cafe:
During my last visit, I ordered two lattes to enjoy at the cafe. However, they were served to me in paper cups, which was not the norm as they used to serve it in mugs. When I brought this up with the barista, they simply poured the lattes into mugs without offering any apologies for the mistake. As shown in the photo, the presentation of the latte was also lacking.

For the kitchen:
Around 6-7 months ago, when this restaurant opened its branch in Inglewood, I was one of their avid pizza fans. At that time, I could confidently say they had some of the best pizza in Calgary, and I had tried many of their delicious offerings.

However, my recent experiences have been quite disappointing. It seems that they have changed many of the staff in the kitchen, and unfortunately, the food and pizza no longer have the same quality they had during the initial months. On top of that, they have raised their prices, which is disheartening.

During my last visit, the pizza they served me was soaking in oil and extremely salty, resulting in a poor overall quality. It's a real shame to witness this decline in their food standards.

Considering these recent issues, I must regrettably give them a 1-star rating. I hope they can take this feedback constructively and work towards improving the quality of their food once again.

I went there to try traditional Italian food. Ordered slice of mushroom pizza. The taste was disgusting - the mushroom pizza was sweet like a cake. They put a lot of sugar on top of mushrooms. It's total waste of money and time.

Great Gelato. Lots of niche products. Didn't make ot on time for good selection of sandwiches but great store!

We were greeted with such pleazantries by Anastasiia, which was such a breath air az tha weather waz raining she lifted our heartz. We then made our way to the pizza area earing area and were helped by Lanie, Anastasiia and Justice.they were very accommodating and our pizza waz top tier! We like to thank tha staff at Lina'z.your quality and service have not wavered from your original location.

I know this a speciality italian place. However, at this location the past staff had mentioned awhile back they will take into consideration adding some plant based milk options. I just went there yesterday to follow up and the not even added nor much milk selection. Their produce section is severely lacking. A small portion of guacamole is pricey as well. I can't even buy a few items there before heading to a grocery with more selection. They certainly excluded clientele who are interested in plant based options in their cafe and grocery as saw remotely few options, except some baking items supplied from Kashew bakery which was a bonus. But honestly, there really wasn't more options in terms of grocery items and eatery. I cannot eat just plant based cakes all the time. Get with 2023 Lina's. I know it's an Italian speciality but c'mon the area it's in should evolve with the times!

Went there to grab a quick afternoon bite.

Overheard the owner or manager being extremely rude and disrespectful to an employee. Berating them and discrediting their experience. My wife and I were genuinely surprise and caught off guard from how rude this owner / manager was.

Maybe if you paid your employees more they wouldn't "all be struggling. " Calgary is also not the most expensive city, but would be easier to be in if the employees were being paid properly:)

Food was solid tho.

5 star for Pizza and Destroy which is served here on Wednesdays. I’m here every Wednesday because it’s that good.

I was really excited that a new Linas was opening up, but this is not the place. The hot bar staff are beyond rude. I was simply inquiring what pizza they had on offer and the one worker starts yelling about how the pizzas were a special order and not for sale. It was extremely uncomfortable. I don’t know why one would feel the need to yell something that could just be politely explained. Won’t be coming back.

I would not spend my $ there. The restaurant was open I needed to buy a bottle of water to give to my erderly mother. The guy wanted to sell it but the manager did not bother helping! Instead she asked him to tell us that only the restaurant was open. Go FIGURED. THIS MESSAGE IS FOR THE OWNER IF happend to be Italian.

Anastasia and the others on the pizza/line-up team are always attentive and kind.

The bakery is devine, and the food and deli are fantastic. Lovely staff. Great pasta selection, including gluten-free.
