Lions park has everything - play spaces for various ages, outdoor exercise equipment, fire pits and picnic shelters, bathrooms, walking paths throughout that connect to the rest of St Albert, river views, access to the library/museum/city buildings. Great place for an afternoon/evening with friends or a bike ride through to downtown.
Beautiful park with lots of different things to do. There was a park for kids, workout equipment next to the walking path, an area for family gatherings with gazebos and fire pits with grills. Cool bridge over a swamp as well.
Nice green area, lots of spread out picnic tables with firepits, washrooms close by, playground for the kids. Kinda cool being at the foot of the train tracks, with a train bridge over the Sturgeon nearby.
Great place for meeting friends or family, having a picnic or party and a fire. Park for the kids, plenty of picnic tables and walking trails as well as quite a few covered picnic sites. Also fairly clean as far as public picnic sites go.
If you're planning on a fire, definitely bring something to put it out with as there is no water on site to do so
Great park in the heart of St. Albert. Has a Pavillion to host shows like the first ever Latin fest or as a covered area for bday parties. Lots of green space to run around. Also has a kids playground. I believe there are also washrooms on site.
This park had been a curtain standard of excellence for over 25 years. Contains fire pits for public use (check covid and fire restrictions before). Also has a few shelter areas with picnic table seating incase you need to make a dash for cover for unexpected rainy days! Leads to a large system of gorgeous walking trails! Will do my best to update with photos!
Very well kept park! The little paths and installations and displays are very nice. Love the random little seating areas tucked away and the neat sculptures. I wish I lived near by so I could visit more often!
It was beautiful people were playing music and we passed by a birthday party we loved the children bridge and the statues are wonderful (go to jack burgers need by for great food and service)
The park is a great location for friends gatherings and kids fun. Two things should be mentioned: 1) The cleanliness of washrooms is close to zero. Horrible 2) Unleashed dogs are very frequent these days although the regulations are very clear and this is illegal.
Excellent for family outings, great for the kids, big park to play on, bathrooms, fire pits and free firewood, beautiful paths by the river to walk on, ample parking, great for bike riding, or just having a picnic, and really great for pics as well. St Albert takes very good care of this park.
Had a fire and hotdog roast, kids played at the park and we would have skated but it was a bit too chilly. For the most part people clean up after themselves and the bathrooms were clean and stocķed.
I'm an older guy (64) who recently lost my spouse of 19 years who is overwhelmed at this point in time. I've been to this park in the past for car shows but never at this time of year. I would have to say, the peacefulness, birds singing, kids laughing and people just out walking actually put a little smile on my face for the first time in awhile. Highly recommended!
Was a 5 star 3 years ago. Its family friendly before 4pm on Weekdays. After 4pm expect the horrible smell of Meth. I would advise removing your children from the area, as I once took part in the weed smoking right on the benches in-front of the park under the roof connected to the washrooms. Majority of teens have knives on them, or mace. Drug sales are done, drugs are boughten in the parking lot, injections take place in the washrooms, heavy heavy vandalism occurs daily at all hours, massive 7 foot flames from the bonfire pit, non stop loud gangster music, snorting of drugs, fights, and the lot of criminal activity.
Not a lion in sight. I brought 50 denari worth of slaves to entertain my patrician entourage and they all left alive. Can't believe I spent that much time there looking for a lion, by Jupiter. Cool parks tho, bring ya kids
Venue for many events including outdoor live music at times. Playground area and public washrooms. Fire pits and picnic tables as well as covered areas in case of rain. Bring your own wood.
A wonderful park to take a stroll. Lots of fire pits and free firewood most days. Exercise equipment for a workout in the fresh air. Always an eager beaver or two by the train trestle. Lots of open space around the paths. Foot bridge is worth taking to get to the fountain and other sculptures.
I love this park. It really has something for everyone, and it's in a beautiful setting. The only drawback is the parking lot. Getting into it is fine, coming out, unless you're a local, is not so much.
Lions Park is beautiful, well kept, and appreciated by everyone in St. Albert and area, assuming they've been here at least once before. Man, you can cook hotdogs here, work out, enjoy a sick skyline from the hills, and walk your dog. What's not to love?
Lovely family friendly park. Playstructures for younger children. Lots of benches, firepits and picnic tables. Walking and biking paths along the river.
Love this park. Nice trails, lots of parking all around the area downtown st Albert so can grab a coffee at a near by cafe then take the kids to the park or go for a nice walk along the river. Love the old train track bridge. Will be great for wedding photos.

Great park to take little kids, playground has many different features for the kids to keep busy, bathrooms are decent, there are picnic tables and fire pits, wood is provided there, lots of room for kids to run around. Love it.
