Food portion sizes are quite generous and the drinks are great. Atmosphere was quite cozy as well, but it was a bit busy and crowded when I went.
27 September 2022 9:11
We met my cousin for brunch. I had the breakfast burrito, the rest had eggs Benedict. We all loved our food.

The backyard patio was very nice. I highly recommend it.
18 September 2022 3:52
Literally the sweetest looking place. And my goodness the food! Sometimes it takes a bit longer for it to come if it's busy but it is worth it!
Such a good vibe, and good food, nice people.
Can't go wrong with going here!

I take my friends here all the time!

A beautiful heritage building, housing a wonderful little cafe. Had the breakfast burrito, not only was it large, it was incredibly flavourful. The coffee is also very high quality. I would definitely recommend this place.
07 August 2022 17:31
I had the breakfast sandwich and had a difficult time keeping it from falling apart. They charged an extra $3 to add half a slice of bacon - really? That made it into an expensive sandwich with no side. My friend had a sandwich with avocado and some garnish on top but the slice of bread was way too thick. Again, no side (ie. 4 or 5 potato chunks could have been added) She paid $15 and only had a couple of bites and couldn't eat the rest because of the 1 inch thick bread. We were very disappointed.

I enjoyed breakfast here both mornings during our two night stay in Edmonton.

A unique restaurant setting in the historic Riverdale neighborhood, Little Brick serves fresh, high quality, reasonably priced eats and drinks in a beautiful house from 1905.

Recommended: Breakfast sandwich and the Mini Egg Scone. Hands down the best scone I’ve ever had!
19 July 2022 5:47
Located in cute historical building. The ambience inside was great. Also the outdoor space seating was wonderful. Made for a wonderful experience outdoors to relax & have breakfast. Service friendly as well. Happy they had vegan option as well for breakfast:). Hope they include more in the future. Great place to visit.

Cute setting in Riverdale. A friend and i went for lunch, it was a bit busy and we had to wait outside for about 10 minutes as you order at counter immediately entering this cafe. We found a table and received our orders fairly quickly. The tomato bisque was great but the accompanying bun was dry, unbuttered and cold, as was the bun with my friends turkey sandwich. A nice soft bun would have made all the difference!
25 June 2022 12:11
If you are looking for a little piece of heaven in the heart of the city than you have found it. Nestled in the most bohemian neighbourhood in Edmonton, this historic site has been transformed into a cool coffee/breakfast/lunch spot. The coffee is the best I have had in the city. The scones are moist, which is weird for a scone but still delicious.
Honestly, it's a hidden gem but worth the search.

I just love this place! ️ My partner and I regularly stop by here to grab a coffee on the weekends and then go on a walk in the river valley. This is very close to the new Tawatinâ Bridge and I highly recommend grabbing a bite, a coffee to go, and heading on over there! They also have some great gluten-free and dairy-free milk options.

If you're looking to dine in, they have a heated outdoor seating area in the colder months. In the spring/summer, it's just a great spacious patio to soak in some sun.
08 March 2022 2:02
Great drinks, peaceful cozy atmosphere, and the most kind staff! I love that they have a small general store too with local goodies!
08 March 2022 1:14
I started coming for the coffee & close proximity. Then I stayed for the cozy vibe. Food hits the spot and there’s a focus on local sourcing. Can’t beat the fireplace in the winter after a ski!
15 February 2022 17:04
Amazing little escape in Edmonton. Deffently worth adding to your list of cafes to check out in Edmonton.
13 December 2021 14:54
We enjoyed a maple latte and a regular latte at this cozy cafe in Riverdale area of Edmonton. I had to try one of the snickerdoodle cookies-a fav from my childhood. Next visit I will order some food and enjoy the outdoor seating area.
07 December 2021 22:05
A long awaited visit to this cute lil' joint. Cute little place with a cute lil date.

Had a scrumptious little cup of cappuccino and enjoyed a bagel as well on a rainy day. Nice date spot too.
05 December 2021 15:25
If they didn't ask for a mask I'd have given 5 stars. In these times I support free choice to not be masked.it's a clean quaint place with yummy food and delicious presentation. Love the tent and lights. Not sure if there's wifi but there is a bathroom
Had the pesto tomato and cheese baguette and rice pudding. And my drink is berry ice tea I think.
03 December 2021 9:45
Used to love this place for our bike ride break, however their pastries (which were top notch,) have deteriorated. Muffins are lacking in the flavour and texture they used to have and scones are dry.
22 November 2021 21:21
Great little cafe. Having to wait in a line outside before ordering was a little unfortunate, but the coffee and pastries were both excellent.
14 November 2021 21:16
We recently had our first few (and very overdue) Little Brick brunch dates and loved it
We first discovered their sister location Elm Café many years ago, and were heartbroken when it closed.
Finally got around to checking out some of its sister locations and are kicking ourselves for not doing it sooner!
The prices are incredible. My personal favorite is the breakfast sandwich!

One tiny request/suggestion: Please bring back the breakfast sandwich specials Elm had! My all-time favorite was the yam & chevre one. Miss those!

One of the cutest little restaurant cafés I have ever seen. The atmosphere is absolutely amazing, the majority of the seating is outside but they've made it super cosy out on their patio. There were also a few tables inside as well.

I've been trying to find a breakfast burrito for a while and I finally found a delicious one here. It's a little pricey but you can tell they use quality ingredients in their food. That being said the burrito was $15 and my wife and I were able to split it and it was enough food for the two of us with our coffee of course.

Little Brick is a must try if you are visiting or live in YEG.
31 October 2021 20:45
Super cute little cafe.
Odd location, since a neighborhood was built around it.
The food is good, and the coffee is great. There are a few tables inside, but lots of places to sit in the yard. There are picnic tables, fireplaces, and lots of chairs. It's a bit on the pricey side, but I'll pay good money to a nice local place.
31 October 2021 18:29
Only ordered drinks because the wait for food was so long, drinks took a little long but ultimately were good. Nice location.
24 October 2021 2:24
Fantastic vibes. Good food. Accurate orders. Wait time reasonable. A quaint little tucked away yet trendy gem
11 October 2021 11:50
What a great little gem, very cozy and warm house like feeling. Great London Fog too, not to sweet and not to bland.
09 October 2021 12:41
Review is based on a turkey sandwich I had. Absolutely fantastic. Good quality turkey sliced turkey that was thick juicy and tender. Excellent content way of flavours between the tart cranberry, creamy garlic aioli, Brie, and a bit of crunch from what I think was arugula. Can’t wait to come back for more food. Great quality ingredients, fresh, and expertly put together. Friendly staff too!
06 October 2021 1:35
Must give rave reviews to this business for a recent birthday my family hosted for me at Little Brick. Excellent food, beverage and waiter service which was above and beyond my expectations! The atmosphere outside with perfect weather was amazing for this type of event. Their outdoor canopy tents worked great for table seating. It was a birthday I won’t forget after such fine service! Big thanks to the team that made the evening so memorable!
03 October 2021 23:39
Went for the first time today what a lovely little place this is and the food was amazing. Can't wait to go again.
27 September 2021 19:13
What a gem of a place!

I was here on Sunday July, 18th and I wasn't disappointed, my sister, girlfriend and I had brunch.

We were greeted with friendly staff, the menu was easy to go over and our food was served relatively quick.

I love all the different items you can buy inside the shop, everything from small wall-art to hats, socks, chocolate, etc this place had my attention from the moment I walked in.

I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a place to eat.

A+ in my books but hey, you don't have to take my word for it ;)
27 September 2021 18:31
*looks up "quaint" in dictionary.finds Little Brick restaurant*

Eggs Benny was tasty and the coffee was good. Had a choc cookie to go. That was a nice later treat.

I'll be back again.
26 September 2021 13:39
Idk why anyone would say this is more than 1 star. I brought my bf here for his birthday and that was a mistake. For 45$ our eggs Benedict came with singular, smallest most dry price of bread with the thinnest slice of tomato, two eggs over cooked and almost no sauce. It was almost laughable when they brought it out. If you wanted more to eat on this slice of toast? Extra $4. I brought him here because this place used to be good. Please go if you want to waste money on food that looks like it’s from McDonald’s.
26 September 2021 12:25
Super cute cafe, delicious food and coffee, and really nice staff! I had the vegan breakfast hash and a salted caramel latte:) Make sure you get there early because it gets super busy!
25 September 2021 15:56
It is a nice little cafe located in a neighborhood near river valley. Their coffee and food both are great. It has a nice garden where there are about 10 tables. It's a great place to take if you have a guest visiting ouside Edmonton as it is very pretty and serves great quality of food. Also, the staff are friendly and consistent/firm about the covid restrictions and social distancing and I really appreciate that.
We had eggs benny and tomato bisque along with an ice chai latte and a warm salted caramel latte. All of them were excellent - food was not salty or greasy, and the drinks were delicious and not too sweet.
23 September 2021 21:39
Between the drinks and the dog friendly patio this was the perfect spot to meet our friend for coffee. I'm sure we'll be back next time we are in the city. One improvement they could make is to add some more sugar free options as there weren't many.
22 September 2021 14:55
We recently had our outdoor wedding at the Little Brick and we were extremely happy with how everything turned out. The weather turned out to be perfect, the food was very tasty and all the steaks were cooked to perfection. All our guests were super happy and raved about the food and service provided by the staff. Cressida was super helpful during the planning and organization of the wedding and everything went very smoothly. Would definitely recommend for any of your special events!
22 September 2021 6:29
Wow has this café improved the quality of my life for the foreseeable future. Upon arrival, a lovely, quiet atmosphere free of idling cars and unsightly parking lots greets you. The menu item which I had the honour of having grace my taste buds was The Hash: a delightful collection of flavours imbuing perfectly cooked potatoes, soft and well-seasoned tofu, and bell peppers brought much joy to my afternoon. The quick service placed a proverbial cherry on this proverbial decadent cake of an experience.
09 September 2021 9:12
Little Brick is much more than little it has the ambiance and great location for a great experience at a coffee shop/restaurant with friendly staff and great selection of food and drinks both cold and hot and with and without alcohol. Been here many times over the years and have always enjoyed the experience. Their Saturaday barbecue is awesome. Today was a beautiful day and sat outside on the patio and enjoyed it. I would recommend the place to all as it is just a great experience.
September 19,2020. Love this place. Good food and drinks.
July 9,2021. Stopped by to get a cold drink. Service was good. Enjoyed the outdoor patio.
07 September 2021 4:00
Beautiful coffee shop. You can take your coffee outside or inside, you can have your snack or special dishes, you can buy your art or admire the art and you can relax with nice music.
It is an alternative coffee shop. Must visit!
04 September 2021 17:16
Patio is dog friendly, which is a huge plus. They were out of London dog, which is confusing as it's earl grey tea, syrup and milk. They also did not have any sugar free syrups, which is very unusual for a coffee shop
22 August 2021 18:52
The menue was absolutely sublime! Once we we ordered it, we were able to witness the finess they were able to achieve with their dishes, and coming from a brunch menu, job well done! Quality of ingredients was good, fresh, and creatively put together. You could taste the care put into it. Excellent meal overall, with excellent service to go well with it. Happy food!
14 July 2021 11:59
Visited this place on lunch break. Noticed it was all female staff which is pretty cool. Ordered a Pulled Pork Sandwich and Icetea. Unfortunately I didn't get my Icetea but didn't make a fuss about it. But the sandwich was good.

If I make my deliveries in that area again. I will definitely use this place as a lunch spot and not a fast food place
08 March 2021 2:56
I gave this place a 4 star review 3 years ago. I knocked it down to 1 due to the (short haired) staff members attitude. She's not friendly whatsoever and doesn't bother to greet you. As an observer, the other staff seem like they're just there to make a few bucks and do the bare minimum. This used to be a place I'd bring friends and family to, and because of how uncomfortable they've routinely made us feel, and the lack of service, we no longer go back. Great location tho, and drinks are good.
10 February 2021 1:36
I do love this place.they have great coffee AND food.the pandemic has screwed up their system a bit so its a confusing entrance and the all paper plate service is not ideal in my opinion.but thats not an issue.my partner and i go in and spend 50.we thoroughly enjoy the food and go back for pastries.theres another lady before me.the cashier tells her that they throw all pastries at 4 and gives her the pastry FOR FREE.i see no transaction.next is my turn.i order 2 pastries AND SHE CHARGES ME.why.why would you directly make it so obvious that you favour one customer over the other? That was very upsetting.
25 January 2021 14:56
Love the food, beverages and atmosphere here. Thanks for the outdoor winter patio to try keep everyone safe from covid!
20 January 2021 8:26
Little brick is the best hidden gem in the city. It's in a great location surrounded by some nice walking paths, they have a huge outdoor patio that is dog friendly which I love! I also really enjoy that they sell alcoholic beverages along with coffee. In the summer they also have a BBQ dinner event which I have yet to try but hopefully I can try it next summer.
04 July 2019 1:43
Loved this place! Visiting from NYC and Little Brick came highly recommended. Loads of natural light, delicious food & drink options, and overall peaceful atmosphere. For some reason I had trouble connecting to WiFi, but the barista was kind enough to let me log into the staff internet so I could get some work done.

We’ll be back next time we find ourselves in Edmonton!
24 June 2019 13:04
A quaint hidden gem in the Riverdale area. Amazing food, always fresh ingredients. Well priced for the serving size. We've been there countless times as it is walking distance, never been disappointed by food or service. They have a small store attached with handmade goods. My husband says try the caramels! Always ample seating available inside and out. A wonderful treat.
09 June 2019 9:20
Really great place! I love their eggs benedict, breakfast potatoes coffee and pastries. The patio is also a really nice quite place for having a beer on any warmer day.
08 June 2019 0:52
In the middle of suburban homes and garages. Feels like it's someone's home. Very unfortunate for a gastronomic business.
06 June 2019 7:38
Went here for a meeting once and really enjoyed their breakfast sandwich! Coffee is also great quality. The atmosphere is very relaxing and warm, and it’s neat that it used to be a house! I would love to go back in the warmer weather to enjoy the patio.
05 June 2019 10:46
I love walking to this little community restaurant; fairly priced, excellent food and service, indoor or ample outdoor seating, quaint environment, with a few small shelves of locally produced and natural products on sale.
Definitely worth the visit.
Try the caramels!
31 May 2019 23:42
This is a great little coffee shop! Hidden in a great neighborhood be the river, this is a great spot to spend some time working. I was impressed by the quality, as well as the work spaces. When I need a workspace as I travel I will be heading here!
23 April 2019 2:40
Great coffee, amazing atmosphere but they need to do something about their incredibly rude staff. I live in the neighbourhood so I like to go but my first point of contact 95% of the time is an angry girl who acts as if I'm doing her an inconvenience by ordering anything.
Friendly staff is so important! Usually when someone from the kitchen brings out my food they are super friendly - why can't the person taking my order be nice? Little Brick has the potential to be the best place in Edmonton.
21 April 2019 5:45
First time there. Sooo cute! Great vibe. My food was great. Just an overall great place! Hidden gem.
16 April 2019 19:25
I only had tea but I am so glad to have been introduced to this secret spot in the river valley. I'll be back!
08 April 2019 0:53
Great staff, great coffee, stellar atmosphere. My favourite cafe in the Edmonton area. If you go on a week day it is a great first date spot but gets a little busy on the weekends. A great place to go if you want to stay near downtown while also being outside of the busier areas. I recommend the eggs benny with back bacon 5/5 on the hollandaise sauce.
20 March 2019 14:50
This is a Jem hidden away in Riverdale. Amazing coffee and food. If you have a dog you can bring them in the fenced area and have your coffee and food outside during the summer with your pup which is awesome!
17 March 2019 5:49
Little Brick is the perfect place to embrace some solo self-care time by unwinding with a good book or to meet up with a friend and connect over a delicious meal. The atmosphere is calm and cozy. The food here is comforting, flavorful, and vibrant. Each dish seems to be prepared with focus, care, and attention to detail. The plating ensures everything looks delicious. Today i enjoyed the weekend brunch special, which was a scrambled egg, yam, spinach, and mushroom dish topped with creme fraiche and pico de gallo. It was the perfect meal to replenish my energy and warm me up.
12 March 2019 8:15
I was looking for a location for a photo shoot today and this place popped up. I’ve never heard of it or even been to that part of downtown (never down by the river valley that is) walked in was greeted by a guy who couldn’t have been much older than myself, and he was fantastic. He had no problems with me taking pictures, actually he encouraged it. The coffee was great, scenery was great and location was great. I would highly recommend this location for anyone looking for a chill location to either hang out, shoot, or just a casual date.
04 February 2019 0:14
Great atmosphere. Love the old brick cottage style. And for somone who can't have dairy and has tried all the almond milk latte's out there I have to say their almond milk latte was superb.
01 February 2019 18:17
One of our favorite little spots for coffee and a bite to eat. Best breakfast sandwiches. Summer is even better with outdoor seating where we can bring our dogs.
28 January 2019 15:39
Nice vibe. Food is good but brunch options are generally not great. However I recommend trying their hot rice pudding. It’s really good.
25 January 2019 20:37
Wow! Well worth the wait. This place has so much character The breakfast we had was so delicious, will definitely be back to try more. Hidden gem in the city for sure!
18 January 2019 9:43
Atmosphere was nice walking in. Menu selections are very limited. Decor has water damage in some.places that was easy to see. $20 for bottled orange juice, 2 eggs, sour dough toast and a strip and a half of bacon. Eggs were cooked perfectly, toast was hard as a rock and it was supposed to be two strips of bacon. Could have been worth it, but there's no view and you have to pay, and add gratuity before you actually eat. Won't be coming back.
15 January 2019 18:44
Wonderful neighborhood cafe with a selection of local goods.
Patio is excellent on warm and sunny days, and the inside is quiet and peaceful. Great selection for breakfast/lunch and freshly baked goods.
13 December 2018 6:54
Amazing food, awesome coffee, great staff. It's a super cute place to go for brunch and what ever else.
