Best Local History Museum in Alberta reviews

Cost has increased like everywhere. Took our granddaughter and it cost $100.00 for parking and to get into the park. It has improved over the years but I think it will be a long time before we go back.

Small but well put together museum. Very modern building, with an archive on the bottom floor. Friendly museum staff. The admission fee is very reasonable. Many tables to escape the heat with a wonderful view.

We had high hopes but found the museum to be dark and decades out of date, treating Indigenous peoples and cultures as historical artifacts with little connection to the present. There are some great artifacts for sure but so much more potential. I really...

This place is immersive and the trails are beautiful. It's great to see it being preserved, and though we didn't expect it, we appreciated that there were bathrooms on site, as well.

Very cool. Hadn’t been here since I was a kid and I took my kids today. It was great. The staff were fantastic. There was a fire and s’mores, hot chocolate and cider, cookie making, Christmas craft making, Clydesdale wagon rides which were amazing...

Good place to know about Red Deer History. Maintained so well. There is no entry fee as well.

I came back to the museum after COVID, and they really have done this place well. The even have a little coffee stand.
