The move really killed this store. The selection is not there. It’s a smaller footprint and there just isn’t a big reason to come here anymore.

Also, most of the staff were pleasant. Most.

I’ve been a huge fan of London Drugs in Airdrie. All the staff is amazing and the pharmacists provide great advice and service. I made London drugs a weekly stop in my routine as I like their products, service and the fact they HAD a post office. The new location is clean and organized however it is not as convenient and I have a feeling I will be going less often. With no post office that is a huge bummer and I find the parking lot very small and congested.

Anything unique the old location beside Wal-Mart had before they moved to downtown is gone. Where London Drugs was the hot spot to purchase modern technology and appliances, is basically all gone.

What remains is their stellar camera showcase and various options, but basically everything else is gone. Heck, even their product offerings in health and beauty are severely lacking.

I give it two years tops for this location to survive. Just drive to Calgary and check out a different LD if you want to stay with the brand.

To the store managers comment - why would I order everything off of your website when I can order from Amazon or shop at Visions or other retailers for the same time. What made LD unique in Airdrie is all gone.

Brick and Mortar retail still exists because people want to shop now. If I wanted a sound system, I would want to to go test in a showroom and take home speakers the same day. If I am I wait, I'll just wait for Amazon.

Nothing but great things to say about the store manager Jayme Mackow-Bechard! She is so incredibly kind and compassionate. We recently had an issue and when we brought this issue to Jayme's attention she immediately resolved it with care and respect. She definitely takes the time to listen to your concerns and handled it immediately and in a very professional manner.
