My mother and I have been going to this clinic for years. However, it wasn't until recently have I faced incredibly rude and condescending service from the front desk staff (one Filipino front desk lady in particular). I had called to book an appointment for both my mother and I. As someone who goes to university outside of the province as well as due to pandemic reasons, I had not gone into the clinic in a few years. Immediately, she spoke to me in a condescending manner regarding the duration I had not gone to a clinic. She then proceeded to state that I must check my insurance to see that I am still covered as I have been out of province - though I am a permanent Albertan resident and Canadian citizen who is covered under a family plan, so I am entirely unsure why my education in another province would pertain? She then told me I must do my "homework" before calling in a condescending manner, even though I know my insurance plan and coverage clearly. Next time, please fix your tone and communication, as well as your knowledge surrounding Alberta Insurance.

I highly recommend London Medical Center being patient for last 7 years. They are friendly and well organized. They do follow up with their patients.

The front end of this company is the most abhorrent, awfully, ran I have ever seen. The manager needs to be fired and the staff held responsible for their lack of work ethic when it comes to their jobs. I have transferred to another family doctor because of this.avoid London Medical at all costs.

Dr. Kahn is an incredible doctor. He has helped me on a number of occasions and is thorough, patient, smart, and very kind. I highly recommend this clinic and I’ve only had positive experiences here from the reception staff to the doctors. Thank you.

My daughter has been going to this clinic for 2 years because of its initial convenience, and that it was one of the only clinics taking new patients during the covid situation.

It seems every time she calls to make an appointment, she has to deal with unessessary rude treatment from one of the staff members (the asian lady). She called to simply get a refill for athsma inhalers, and they insisted on her needing to come in. Saying things like, she hasn't been in for 2 years. Which is mostly untrue and they quickly forget that the pandemic restrictions were only lifted a year ago, so how is that time-frame relevant?

Now she has to wait 3 days to get refills? Luckily, after I called, I somehow got a phone call appointment for the same day.at least someone over there is on the ball.

Cannot talk to my family doctor unless I book an appointment and drive there in person.just want to ask her a question. Cannot leave a message or even book an appointment to talk to her over the phone.

I had a bad experience at this clinic. The doctor who can be chatty and friendly at first but is totally irresponsible along with one of their receptionists (the petite one) who promised that she will ask another doctor to look at my lab results butbthaybshe didn’t actually didn’t do anything. I waited yet there was no correspondence from them. If I did not advocate for myself and looked for my own lab results at the diagnostic clinic, I wouldn’t have know I am suffering from a condition that needs surgical intervention. I will give 2 stars as one of the girls whom I talked to after finding out about my lab results myself, apologized and admitted that this was irresponsible of Dr. Koggolo and the receptionist who obviously disregarded an urgent request.
She asked me to come to the clinic right away that day with Dr. Tausif who immediately referred me to a surgeon which I am grateful of his professionalism and time.

I received a call from one of the doctors that I had been rude to their reception staff. Background - I have sciatic nerve pain and have been receiving treatment at London Medical Center, I called the office yesterday to inquire about refilling my prescription and spoke to Nora I believe… this would have to be the most nonchalant conversation I have ever had with anyone who deals with patients. Having due regard for how busy the clinic must be and the amount of calls that they receive does not mean that you speak with your patients with no empathy whatsoever. My sciatic pain was almost debilitating and I am speaking with this staff member who tells me, ’ you need to come in for an appointment, or go to the pharmacy for an emergency refill. ’ I tried to book an appointment but there were no openings until the day after since the doctor was not in the following day, I tried to explain to her that these are controlled medications that do not have emergency refills and the staff member speaks to me like my issue is such a trivial matter so I hang up on her. This may not have been the right course of action but why would you speak discourtesy to a client then say that the client is rude when I am obviously in pain and frustrated about this person not giving me the right information. If she didn’t know how to proceed, she could have consulted the doctor or even her colleagues about how to foster the most positive patient experience for the patient. I am very dissatisfied with that reception staff member. I called back again later and spoke to someone else who was able to provide some clarity as to what was going on. I am more than happy to revisit this issue with this staff member and hope they don’t just label people as being rude when it is you who is precipitating the frustration with your lack of professionalism.

It was the worst experience! My family and I booked an appointment to extend our work permit. So, we had an appointment at 2: 15 pm; we came at 1: 10 pm because we did not want to be late; however, the doctor even did not show up after 3: 30 pm. My family had been waiting almost 2 hours. The girls who were at the front desk did not care at all. No one even apologized when we decided to cancel our appointment after 1.3 hours of waiting. The lady gave me our passports and did not say anything. My family was shocked at how people can be that unprofessional and rude with customers. I will never recommend this place to anyone if you respect your time and yourself.

Didn't seem to honestly care about patient said a shoulder that was HIGHLY PAINFUL to move and was unable to lift arm above shoulder level had full range of motion and didn't need anything aside from voltaren and naproxen. When 3 calcium build-ups that had been xrayed and suggested surgery in the past were mentioned due to a grinding sound she honestly didn't even seem to care and barely looked, suggesting nothing and moving on. Honestly will never go back and don't recommend anyone go if they want good opinions and real medical advice truly a waste of time.

UPDATE-
Saw another doctor at Britannia Medical Center was seen and sent in for immediate X-rays to find out there is a growth impacting the shoulder rotation. And will most likely require surgery and physiotherapy to help with pain and recover movement back to the shoulder.

Dr. Khan has seen me through extreme kidney issues complicated by three heart attacks and open heart surgery. This man's compassion level and commitment to bringing me back to health is unsurpassed anywhere in Alberta

Went as a walk-in patient with symptoms of strep throat and previous knowledge of what strep throat feels like from having it over 20 times in my life previously. Doctor told me it was viral and gave me nothing for it. I left town to go to BC three days later and it further developed into the most painful strep I have ever experienced. Saw another doctor in BC and he knew it was strep the second he looked at me and gave me a prescription and questioned the doctor at this clinic's expertise. It it now not improving from antibiotics at a normal rate, three days later, because it was allowed to fester for over a week and I'm back at the clinic again.

Edit after post reply from the clinic: Allow me to clarify. I began to improve the day following this review. After speaking to the physician again reporting no change, he told me that when the strep throat is as bad as mine was, it can take 72 hours for it to even begin working and I should begin to feel better in the next day or so. He was correct. While I appreciate your response, I know what strep throat feels like, it was confirmed by another doctor, and I will not be returning to this clinic.

Wonderful staff and location, booked appointment for 1 pm wasn't waiting any longer than five minutes. For someone who came from a small town and this stuff gives crazy anxiety to. I followed my doctor here and I am glad I did. Doctor Henderson is amazing and she really cares for her patients. She doesn’t rush you to get out of the office she takes the time and listens to you. The front staff is amazing and so friendly:)

I sat in on my partner’s appointment today & dr.khan refused to give my partner a prescription for an HPV vaccine, even though my gynaecologist had advised both my partner & i be vaccinated.for context, i had an abnormal pap before, but never tested for HPV & my partner is an assigned male at birth individual.dr.khan made an an analogy to chickenpox.like, if you’ve had chickenpox already it’s pointless to get vaccinated against it.but there are 9 types of HPV in the vaccine & not 9 types of chickenpox i’m not a doctor, granted, but that seemed fishy.and he put the onus on me to get ahold of my gynaecologist to fax him the pertinent research/reasons why my partner should be inoculated.he had no way of knowing if my partner & i are monogamous or not (because he didn’t ask), and as such he made assumptions about our relationship and sex life & came to his own conclusions.not that he made us feel comfortable telling him otherwise, anyways.he cited the potential side effects of gardasil & said it could be a marketing tactic by them? Which is.a weird thing to say when talking about sexual health/cancer prevention.all in all he made my partner feel terrible for asking, and struck me as the kind of doctor who assumes he’s the only person in the room whose opinion matters.he was condescending and seemed to be minding the time passing more than my partner’s health concerns.it felt like he resented us for coming in for prescription information rather than the flu.needless to say, never coming back:)

also, @ the clinic, please spare yourselves the trouble of reaching out.my partner & i really, truly, profoundly want nothing to do with your institution going forward.

I have been with Dr. Khan for over 4 years and I have to say my experience has been amazing! Dr. Khan is knowledgeable and is on top of the latest medical advancements, and also has an extraordinary level of empathy and professionalism with his patients, making him one of the best Family Doctors in Calgary. Also, the staff at London Medical Centre are always helpful, welcoming and willing to assist the patients with an extraordinary positive attitude. I amply recommend Dr. Khan and London Medical Centre for your health matters in Calgary.

No respect for appointment times.

Recieved apology phone call from Dr. Khan, not even my own Dr.

Look, I understand that Drs.run late, emergencies happen, that's life, of course, but I am sick and tired of not being communicated with, it's ridiculous. Just let me know what's going on and let me decide what I would like to do. Don't waste my time for no reason. It's called respect.

As I mentioned 5 times on my call with Dr. Khan it was not a 23 minute wait time, it was 40 minutes, at every possible opportunity to improve my opinion of this clinic I have grown more frustrated. I strongly recommend you reconsider the culture of your office environment.

What an amazing clinic. I have been suffering from an extreme eczema. My husband was working in Calgary, so I thought I would go here for help. I wish this place was near me. The receptionist was so polite and friendly. Dr. Khan was terrific. I have had eczema most of my life. He provided suggestions and guidance that made sense and I am sure will help. It's a traumatic experience to not be able to use your hand. I found him to be gentle, kind, and so helpful. You guys in Calgary at lucky!

Great staff and doctor, took me in for a walk-in right away. Beautiful decor and modern style inside. My only complaint is that they play virgin radio VERY loudly in the waiting room. You can even hear the music from inside the exam rooms. It’s a bit much for a clinic.

Dr Khan is my family dr for 9 years. He is very nice and so good in taking care of me. Very professional and kind. The best dr ever. The ladies in the front desk are very accomodating and polite.

I highly recommend Dr. Khan as your family doctor. My son and I have been with him for almost five years. He is very knowledgeable and cares for his patients. He is also a respectful and considerate doctor. The London Medical Centre is located in a very clean, calm, and beautiful space.
