Londonderry Fitness and Leisure Centre

They really really really need to change the wipes in the fitness area. They leave this gross powdery residue all over everything, it wrecks my clothes and even gets in my eyes sometimes.

I love this recreation center because it seems to be the only one with a steam room sauna and a hot tub in this city.

I have only used the pool and it was a good place for a family swim steam room and the sauna was packed.

We have a city wide membership and usually go to another rec center for swimming, but that day it was full and the line was long so we took a shot and tried this pool. And I'm so glad we did! It has amazingly fast fun waterslides (2 of them) and the pool is clean and was not busy for a Sunday. Lots of pool toys and the hot tub was perfect. They also have a sauna and steam room. Only downside is very chemical chlorine compared to the half salt water pools other rec centers have, but still we will be back for more waterslide fun!

Our 5 year old is currently enrolled in swimming lessons at Londonderry. We want to give a HUGE shoutout to Anna her swim instructor for being so great with the kids. She’s patient. She explains things clearly. She’s receptive to feedback. Thanks Anna for doing a great job!

The lady in the gym worked very hard to maintain clean equipment. Good job! Your hard work yesterday doesn’t go unnoticed.

I love the pool here. The gym gets very busy often times but the layout is great. I've been using Londonderry rec center since I was 14 years old. I highly recommend coming to swim and workout here. For both individuals and families. I wish there was more parking!

There’s a toddler pool. Hot tub. Main pool with shallow to deep. 2 water slides. Kids swim a lap to get into deep end. There’s a dry and steam sauna. A lot of cool floaty toys for kids. Lifeguards were were attentive. Family change room is a bit smaller but we Will return.

Great place. Well organized. Staff were friendly. Looking forward to trying again. Also awesome for our kids swimming lessons. Great viewing area!

Change rooms are similar to being in a prison. Very institutional! Horrible. Hot tub is useless. Sauna is warmish. Steam ok. Weight room is pretty good. Didn't really like the vibe!

It's serves the purpose.clean dressing rooms, warm showers. Has steam, hot tub, Sauna. Weight room looks well equipped.

Merry Christmas to the small miserable woman witj ponytail and glasses who openly whines within ear shot of clients, on more than one occasion. Get another job if you think everyone is so irritating for every mundane action. This isn't your house, you work here and people pay to come. I feel sorry for you co workers I can only imagine the complaints they hear from you on a daily basis am I right coworkers. I have sympathy you are in my prayers.

Has the rudest aquatic staff of all Edmonton Rec Centres I’ve been to in the city. Experienced it not only once but a couple of times.

I went to the pool and hot tub for the first time, had a great time. Very friendly staff and also met some friendly patrons as well which was great. I got locked out of my locker (my fault, it's been a while since I've been at a rec centre), and they helped me resolve that, definitely a great experience all around

Pool is nice, no salt water, parking can get a little crowded but overall a nice place to swim.

Adequate gym for the facility. Equipment is cleaned and maintained well. My only concern is parking after 4 but you can park at the high school if you need too.

I went to find out information about the membership plans. The guys in the information desk didn't give to much infomation. I was expecting a tour on the facility I could have a better idea before taking any decision, but that didn't happen. They place looks crowd. I am not thinking going there.

The staff are very rude and time people in the showers. You are not allowed more than 30 minutes in the shower even though no one is waiting. They will cancel you’re membership if more than 30 minutes is spent in the shower. Jackie Gregson the manager is a very evil woman as well as the janitor there that times everyone in the shower.

The amount of renovations this place goes through is obviously fundamental to its success. But closing whole areas of the centre, is what keeps me going to Claireview instead.

I haven't set foot in this place for a while. It's a old infrastructure and really needs a renovation. Aside from that it has a basic fitness area, swimming pool, sauna, steam room, and jacuzzi. If this is the closest leisure centre to you, go for it. Take the family, friends, or enjoy it yourself.

Interestingly the rules in the pool are based on the age of the individual and not the swimming ability of the swimmer. I saw adults nearly drowning because they didn't know how to swim while we were given the gears about not being in arms reach of our children who can swim perfectly well.

Beware the high drop water slide. As an adult I injured myself after making impact with the bottom of the pool. The drop-off is dangerous for adults. The pool is too shallow. I notified the lifeguard but I think he was more interested in other things.

The lifeguards are straight up rude. PUBLIC SWIM IS SUPPOSED TO BE 6pm TILL 9PM, BUT THEY CLOSE THE SLIDES AT 8: 30. Every night. I show up at 8: 15 usually every night, get in 1 or 2 slides, then they close it to “quiet down” and “transition” from public swim to late swim.yet it’s still rowdy af with kids come 9 o’clock. Moral of my story here- DO NOT TRUST THEIR PUBLIC SWIM TIMES. IT IS BULLLLLLSHIT. Makes no sense. Anyways, Would not recommend, regretting my membership hard at the moment. The people at the front desk also don’t know what they’re doing, took me 45 mins just to sign up for a membership. To conclude, I am chapped.

Lifeguards are horrible and wont let kids do anything really. My son was so upset that he couldn't swim. He was only aloud in the areas were he could touch the ground and they some how expected a 3 year old to swim the entire pool length when the slides were going and failed him cause the water from the slides pushed him to the ropes. The accused my boyfriend and his brother of steal from someone's locker even though they were no where near it and didn't accuse anyone else of taking from from it that was in the room. Will never come back here. Grand trunk is a way better pool and will continue to go there instead. Way more kid friendly then Londonderry.
