Never use Loomis. They pretend like your address doesn't exist because they don't want to pay a driver to deliver your package.

This has happened to me all three times I've been forced to use Loomis for shipping.

Why did I pay for shipping if I have to come to pick up my package? You guys suck and you should go out of business.

Never use this company to ship with. They refused to deceiver to a range road address (an Amazon package) even though everyone else (fedex dhl etc) do. They seem to be a poorly run company!

The online agents are incompetent, arrogant and unwilling to help. Begs the question why they even exist. Edmonton branch claims not to deliver to Range Roads and Township Roads although they have. They will hold your package without notifying you. Avoid at all costs.

Absolutely horrible service. Will never use this outfit again. Paid for express shipping, my package was in the correct city and now it’s back south 4 hours away and they can’t guarantee when it will be sent back.

Trash company, doesn’t deliver out of the city, and also won’t tell you that. Why accept my package in the first place?
Been calling them and as soon as they pick up they just hang up on you. Happened 5+ times.

Worst “shipping” company in the world. They accept packages and charge customers to ship items, only to hold them at an inconvenient location for pick up. They don’t contact the recipient of this till days later, if ever, and don’t offer any resolution or solutions. Just state (after the fact) they don’t / won’t ship outside of city roads…. Here’s a thought, THEN DONT ACCEPT THE PACKAGE YOU KNOW IN ADVANCE YOU CAN’T DELIVER!
Pretty simple concept. Don’t accept work for which you can’t do.
Beyond the fact you willingly bill the client knowing this in advance. Shame on you horrible business model with no ability to seek a better solution.
I welcome all other shipping companies to eventually put you out of business.

Loomis needs to have more pick-up locations in and around Edmonton. Travelling over 30 minutes to pick up a parcel that was not delivered is very inconvenient. I see from many of the comments that they have a very poor rating because of the inconvenience of the pick up location. Not solving the problem makes it look like they are not that interested in quality customer service, or doing what they can to improve customer satisfaction.

This is the first time I have ever left a review and it's only because of how bad this company was to deal with over the phone and in person. The only reason I ever had to deal with this company in the first place was because Sportchek uses it as a 3rd party delivery service. Very bad experience with both of these companies.

Awful. Like everyone else who reviewed these guys shouldn't even be a delivery service because they don't deliver. I like others live In an appartment building and I've been waiting for a delivery since yesterday and they have said they've made two attempts when in fact they did not attempt at all. No one was by and no one buzzed my buzzer even after telling customer service my buzzer number. What a joke.

This side of the box has less damage than the other, first time they claimed to try to deliver they wanted a signature for it. Second time they tossed it at the doorway and ran. When we came out to talk to the driver he ran away to his truck

Horrible at delivering things which is supposed to be.you know, their JOB. Customer service argues and yells at you for their mistakes. I hope they go out of business so we can get a more reliable company delivering, even if it takes 1-2 days longer. My package is now almost 3 weeks late because of Loomis and it was essential for my business. I'm extremely upset. Right before Christmas. GARBAGE. HORRIBLE COMPANY.
They literally hung up on me over the phone. Don't even bother calling them because they do not care about their customers.

EDIT: I take back what I said about barely adequate customer service. Hilariously inadequate customer service. Constantly spoke over me and made ZERO effort to make the situation right after they had indisputably failed at their one job. I can understand being bad at delivering, but how anyone can be so unprofessional and rude baffles me. Can't believe this stain of a company stays afloat.

Their driver made no attempt to deliver a package— I was home all day, no one called or buzzed me— then left an "attempt" notice on the door. Customer support was incredibly unhelpful, barely adequate customer service, and took no accountability for the actions of their driver. Asked for clarification, and they just fed me company lines until I gave up and hung up.

Awful service. Left a sticky note on my door stating that they would be back the next day. Worked from home all next day and no delivery. 3 days later, another sticky note saying I needed now to pick it up. No address as to where. Horrible service.

I wish I had read the reviews on this courier before using them. Rural delivery was promised but then later denied. City address required and therefore I need to drive 90 km to there closest depot. Having them change the delivery address is a minimum 37 dollar charge. Purolator, ups etc have never been an issue. So I recommend sticking to a reputable courier. If I could go less than 1 start I would have.
With any luck garbage companies with poor service like this will be weeded out and go bankrupt. Good riddance.

Horrible experience. I got a "delivery attempt" notice on Tuesday. The paper had both "we're going to try again" AND "we've tried twice" checked off. There was no pickup address on it. I tried to use the chat "with a live person" (it was not a live person) and I couldn't get anywhere. I called and spoke to someone. I told her that I've only received 1 attempt at delivery not 2. She said "Okay, we'll try again tomorrow. " No one showed up on the next day. I called the day after (Friday) and said "Hey you said you'd attempt delivery again and no one showed up". She said "Oh that's weird, I did speak to them. " She put me on hold, only to come back and say "Oh boy, nope you're going to have to pick up the package from a Canpar depot". It is an hour long bus ride from my home (I live downtown and don't drive). There is no other place to pick it up. She also says I have business days to pick it up. 5 days from when it was originally brought there, not from today. So I waited an extra 2 days waiting for them to deliver again, and lost those days as pick up options. I finally got to the Canpar pick up depot (not the Loomis one, no they went to the Canpar one for some reason). They "had never even seen a Loomis slip before". They found my package after looking for quite a bit of time. This whole ordeal was absolutely ridiculous.

The worst experience I’ve had … waited 20 minutes to be told my package couldn’t be found and was at their sister company down the road, CC got to the other place no it’s not their … went back to loomis waited again told the guy it wasn’t at the other place he asked me why? …. Because I’m suppose to know why!

Eventually they found my package in their warehouse and the outside of package was damaged

There were 4 of us waiting for services for over 15 minutes to speak to some one … what an absolute a joke of a depo

No attempt made to deliver. Didn’t even try and said I wasn’t home. I have concierge service and a dedicated parcel room. Staff on site 24/7.
Customer service wasn’t empathetic nor helpful.
I have a strong feeling from reading other reviews I will be making the drive to their distribution Centre.
After reading all these reviews does anyone at loomis even attempt to deliver packages?
Update**** They botched both deliveries, I did have to drive 25 minutes to retrieve my package. Once I collected my package and opened it, it was destroyed. So poorly handled. Terrible, terrible service.

I would like to express my gratitude and praise a great customer service rep at LOOMIS. Angela Badwah who is always going above and beyond for our company Complete Shipping Solutions. We use their services daily and she has always showed us the up most respect and her follow up is impeccable. She is friendly and up beat and is always such a pleasure to deal with. Working in this industry it is not always easy, with her positive attitude she represents her company well and I hope they know the kind of team member they have. She is amazing!

They call me and ask for buzzer number which I don’t have. Told them I’ll be there in 2 minutes and no one was there. Rude customer service run by coconut. When I call back since I have no tracking number and don’t know who sent me the package as I expected 10 delivery from my home business they can’t help. Really any business using them making their legitimate business look bad and incompetent. The rating should be in the negative and maybe skip or Uber eat can train them of how to make a decent delivery service.

Worse service ever! I was sitting at home, my friend came over and told me I had a Loomis attempted delivery notice. They didn't even knock on the door? ! I don't understand why they would put a notice on the door without knocking and giving me my package. I phoned to complain but they wouldn't do anything about it.

WORST experience ever. Bonnie the customer service rep on the phone was short, inefficient, and impatient! What a combo!
ALSO, their slip of paper they leave you on the door with is OBVIOUSLY INEFFECTIVE, since over 600 people who've struggled with it left bad reviews. WAKE UP, LOOMIS!
Also, I am here because I ordered something from Visions (electronics store). Wake up Visions. HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE.

My Bell phone order was placed on Nov 2 from Ontario. I was told I would receive my shipment on Nov 5. Side note: awful and delayed shipping experience from T-Force (company that delivered the phone from Ontario to Loomis in Edmonton). My shipment was held in Edmonton prior to the long weekend (Nov 8 or 9) and to date, I still haven't received my package (Nov 14). I was told that the driver doesn't get back to the warehouse until after business hours therefore, I had to wait until after the long weekend to get it. They attempted delivery on Nov 13 to the wrong house. The tracking status showed that a delivery was attempted but I could not find the pick up slip. I noticed that there was a pick up slip stuck to my neighbor's door, which I discovered had belonged to me. I went to Loomis at around 5 PM that day and the representative told me that I'd have to wait until the next day to pick it up because the driver would not return until 730 PM. I asked them to not attempt another delivery because no one would be home during the day to accept it. They agreed and said they would leave a note with the driver. I went back to Loomis on Nov 14 and another representative told me that they could not locate the shipment as it hadn't been scanned since the day the delivery was attempted on Nov 13. She called me an hour later to advise that my package had been sent out on a driver's truck and that I would not receive it until the next day (Nov 15). On Nov 15, I went to their office again thinking that nothing else could possibly go wrong. They lost my package and told me to come back on Nov 16. I have never driven to a shipping company this many times. I would have called them to avoid all this trouble but they never answered their phone. Customer service is non-existent. Poorly organized company and absolutely no care for their customers. I am not sure how anyone could entrust their goods with this company when they don't even stand behind their company values.

THESE LOSERS NEED ZERO STARS! Worst delivery company ever! Ordered online from Walmart not knowing they would use this junk company. The delivery driver did not attempt to delivery my order and left 2 notifications that he tried to deliver which is a absolute lie! Called this dumbos and they have the WORST CUSTOMER SERIVCE EVER! African American woman with a thick accent and attitude didn’t want to help and tried to say that’s the company policy. She legit read the note saying that the driver said it’s due to business being closed. I LIVE IN A RESIDENTIAL ADDRESS! Just a clown show they all need to be fired!

I rarely make reviews unless a service is so terrible or great that it makes me want to take the extra effort to log in and write something. Loomis did a fine job of getting me motivated to log in and write about how bad an experience I’ve had. I live in a condo and when I ordered my product I placed my buzzer in the special notes section. I didn’t get buzzed, not once. Loomis did leave me a notice that they came by twice and that I could pick up my parcel in their location which is conveniently located on the outskirts of the city. I called the customer service line and of course all the representative did was notify me that her system shows two attempts where made, despite me saying otherwise. Clearly the customer doesn’t matter and critical thinking is not a requirement to work at Loomis. I was given no further options other than the instructions already set forth on my paper. In other words, I wasted time and breath calling. Finally, when I requested to speak with a supervisor I was instead provided with a different number to call, not that it would’ve done anything. So I’m leaving a one star review only because I don’t have the option to give less.

Said they would try delivery again on Monday, which was a holiday so they're closed. Lied and said they tried to deliver twice. Have to contact Canpar to schedule redelivery-on hold for an hour and counting. Absolutely the worst courier I've ever experienced, just awful. Avoid by all means.

Worst Service EVER if i could give a negative review I would, I had a door Knocker left on the 30th, I left the signed Knocker on the door to be dropped was not on the 31, or the 1st and now the 2nd june not even out for deliver, We YOUR paying customers pay for a service and you are not delivering on your part, FIX THIS

I have exactly the same experience as others. I have been waiting for a package now for 4 days after the scheduled delivery date.each day i get "attempted delivery" but I know there was no attempt because i was home all day and I have security cameras showing no one was here. I have called each day and have been told they will put in a notice and have someone contact the dispatch facility to ensure i get it by the end of the day. I have sat at home for four days so that i don't miss the delivery but still no one shows. Now i am waiting again after 2hrs on the phone with DHL and Loomis "experts" and am trying to get it so i can go and pick up at the Loomis facility. I am so frustrated that there is no way in their process for me to talk to the driver or the local facility. This is a piece cost me over $100 in shipping to be delivered to my door over a week ago. They just keep giving me invalid reasons as to why it is not delivered. So far, failed delivery attempt, then another failed delivery attempt.now they are saying it is the wrong address. We confirmed it is the correct address. I am not sure how they make it as a courier service as one of the most basic concepts is to be able to find valid addresses! It is pretty sad!

Got the second slip that they had attempted delivery again. Do they not realize that most people are not home till later in the afternoon. Any other delivery I have to pick up the package is within 15min of my house. These jokers have it at a facility an hour away when there are other facilities only 15 minutes away. At least customer service answers fast, which they must need for their terrible service. Amazon said Purolator was shipping, guess they are responsible for this mess as well.

Customer service is a bit rude, and they don't ship the package to you. Instead they ask you to pickup the item because the address is invalid for no reason.

Left a door knocker first time. Went to website, filled out digital signature for parcel. Left a door knocker second time. So had to drive 100km one way to pick up my parcel. No signature asked for at depot. Asked why no signature? Told wasn't required.

So why not just leave it at my gate in the first place?

Such a bad delivery company. Try to avoid it if u can. I was at home all day and didn’t hear anything and then I saw two attempt notices at my door. Maybe their drivers don’t know how to knock at the door and don’t even have a phone. Poor drivers

Unreliable delivery service, lack of ownership and very poor customer service.

With my small business, I tried using Loomis Express. Pharmasave on 66 street & Ellerlise Rd is the shipper for Loomis Express. Without any background knowledge of customer service for both the shipper and Carrier, I once used Loomis for important and timely delivery for my small business. That was certainly a mistake. I used Netparcel to print shipping labels and make payments and dropped off 2 boxes to Pharmasave for Carrier pick up. And Guess what? I realized that Loomis Express didn't pick up my boxes even after 6 working days. The staff at Pharmasave didn't help much apart from saying that they called driver and driver didn't come. I called Loomis Express 3 times to help me with the situation, they hung up my phone. At last, I got tired and took my boxed back from Pharmasave. I went to UPS and sent through UPS. I was looking for ownership and sense of responsibilities from them as Carrier. Also, I was looking for willingness to fix the issue. I got very disappointed. If you are looking for timely service, this is not the place. Definitely cheaper than other Carrier but not reliable.

I had ordered a surprise gift for my nephew’s first birthday, and Loomis was shipper’s only delivery carrier. Very disappointing that they don’t deliver to outskirts of Edmonton. Had to tell my brother to go and pickup the gift. Totally ruined the plan.whats the point of delivery if you have to drive for 30 mins and pick it up on your own. Better say in the starting that we don’t deliver when someone puts the address while shopping. Totally waste of time and money
