Worst customer service at this store. Asked for help to cut some drywall and instead of helping one of the three guys that were sitting around doing absolutely nothing at the "Pro" desk handed me a knife and walked back to continue chatting with his buddies. I highly recommend that people go to a Home Depot instead of Lowe's / Rona.

A huge store filled with nothing.
There selection is extremely poor. The employees are completely useless and unable to make even a basic recommendation. And that is IF you can find one to talk with.

Ordered blinds in October 2022, came to install in December 2022 and got the sizing wrong on one of the panels. It's now May 2023 and I still have to keep calling to get updates. I'm going to try head office because no progress is being made even when getting the managers involved.

Their floor staff are very knowledgeable but their checkout staff are absolutely terrible. No interest in assisting, slow to respond to issues at self checkout and blame the customer for problems with their self checkout system. Very disappointed

Awful experience today, went to buy mortar and realized Home Depot had it for a lower price. Asked if they would price match and the cashier said they would, just would require an override from a manager. Waited for the manager only to be berated by her and another employee about the price already being cheaper as I used pro. Both employees continued to talk down to me and argue about the price. I explained that it’s not my job to know their policies and the berating continued, I said that this was a waste of my time and paid, I told them they offer awful customer service and was told I’m welcome to share that feedback on their feedback form. Horrendous experience, terrible service, except the poor cashier who initially was serving me. Embarrassing that a company of this size offers such terrible service.

Went in for 120L storage bins, the website said there were 10 left in stock. Asked 1 person who showed us which aisle they were supposed to be in, there wasn't, but found some of the smaller bins in another area, so asked another staff member who directed us to someone in the kitchen section, David said Bill was the one to talk to because he was dealing with them yesterday, but Bill wasn't there, then we overheard them talking to when we were walking that we were looking for the bins and approached and Bill said he just put some out this morning and they were in aisle 17 (the one we were at before) and we said there wasn't any and Bill said, "well there were some there this morning and so look harder" and walked away. Who talks to anyone like that? We looked pretty hard, that's why we're asking. Another staff member that was also there followed us back to help look again. Still no bins. Pretty unacceptable behaviour.

Had some nice house plants! Nice the staff that don't work in certain areas still know where stuff is.

Yesterday evening I visited this store and found one item which was in great deal so I took that and went to cashier at self checkout and the price was different then shown so I told that lady that this price is incorrect its display price is $10 less so she told me to go back to appliances to confirm the price. That was a red flag for me but still I went their and as appliances employee he spend so time and then told me to just take the picture what it displays so I took it and went back to that cashier she spend another 5 mins just to figure out its same product and then started asking me when did this flyer came in. I said this is not my work just see the picture and just price match it but she was just wasting time so I left the store. Store was nice but employees are the below standard didnt match my expectations and worst experience overall.

Good store and the employees there are usually great, however, there is almost never anyone to help out in certain sections, particularly plumbing. I realize there are staffing issues everywhere right now, but it can be quite frustrating. Usually have to run to Home Depot after to get the correct parts and advice.

Becky in the window shadings knows her stuff! I had been to several other places and was beyond frusterated with the lack of knowledge I could find anywhere. I am doing my decor from scratch and she was incredibly patient on pricing out and showing me my options, advising me on all the new regulations, what my options were and even was able to suggest places to go for some things that Lowes didnt carry. What a great experience in this store today! Made my life a little easier! I will be back!   A+

I came into Lowes tonight to purchase a dishwasher. I was helped by Avani and Edwin. They both were so kind and helpful. I really appreciated all the effort they took in helping me leave with one! Thanks again!

Way to reward customer loyalty by not honouring clearance pricing on 1 gallon Alberta Spruce from the Lowe's store at Macleod trail. After checking with your Manager, your supervisor suggested I buy at regular price at your store and go ask for the discount at the other store. Needless to say, I wasted 1.5 hours of my time between trips over the last weekend. Today, less than a week later, all the stock you were holding on to is gone and confirmed it was for the same clearance price!

I had previously given this Lowe's a 4-star rating HOWEVER, after waiting 3 months for my fridge and calling Lowe's to follow-up they don't even deserve a 1-star rating! I tried 3 times to reach an appliance associated and was put on hold all 3 times for over 15 minutes each time. THEN I called back and asked to speak to the manager on duty and twice they didn't even answer their phone! Was a gong show! Now I have to drive out of my way to go check on the status of my fridge that Lowe's is to awful at even taking the time to one answer their phones but also can't even follow up with their customers! I've never had these issues dealing with Home Depot.

It was my second visit in the same day to a deferent searching for some plumbing fitting but both of them did not have it very disappointing specially a simple item that I buy all the time from Home Depot and other places

My rating is based on service.
I went there to get a product from one end of the city to their location because the web site and a human told me there was stock.
Guess what, I go across town and get everyone telling what isle it is in and no luck. I finally get someone paged and then was told there is no stock and that it's been replaced by new product. Fyi. The new product is from the same company and same specs as what I wanted. Just more money. I explained I want what was told to me to be on hand (computer showed stock). I asked for a manager. No manager showed up. So dissatisfied with the service and run around.
Nice store, lots of stuff. No help, and get the run around from what I can all "don't like your job" attitude.
Employees at this store need a lesson on customer service and a attitude adjustment. I don't think I was asking for much. Ugh. What's wrong with companies and employees these days. Must be "Retail". So sad to have to put it that way.
Do better Lowe's.

Some staff are amazing; courteous and knowledgeable! Many others have zero product knowledge, but worse, they don’t even seem to try or act like you’re bothering them. I brought a bolt into the store and asked customer service where I could find the same one. I was told to look in the tools section on the other side of the store. They didn’t know the aisle number. They said someone over there could help me. I looked for someone for 15 minutes. One guy told me the aisle number but didn’t know where the bolt would be as it wasn’t his section. I found someone else who was able to help.

Staff are way more helpful here than home depot; minus a star due to limited selection of parts. 80% of their store is selling appliances/fixtures.

Have they never heard of digital showrooms?

Conveniently located for residents in the west side. Prices and selection are not as good as Home Depot in general but there are times when Lowes has a better deal. Online inventory is unreliable. I've gone there several times to pick up items that the web site says is available only to find out it wasn't. Annoying that you can't use gift cards online, you have to shop in person to use them.

Most helpful employee of any home improvement store I've ever been to. Not only did Andy he help me find what i needed within 2 seconds he was helpful to multiple customers in a blink of an eye. Hats off to Andy

We went to Lowe's in Signal Hill yesterday, looking for a variety of items, because we are doing home renovations. We were quickly greeted by Ron P.who generously gave of his time. Ron walked with us to various aisles, and explained why certain products were no longer sold at Lowes. He suggested options, as well as where such items might be available. Ron P.was professional, friendly, personable, and knowledgeable. We also want to give a shout out to Carlos, for his valuable help in getting our large purchase to the car. Keyron was another helpful associate. He went that extra mile to make sure what we wanted was definitely no longer available. Thanks to all these wonderful associates for their friendly help.

I just dont get stores that cant figure out how to make a checkout experience flow. This store is a nightmare. Always someone with an issue in front causing a lineup which staff just cant seem to sort out in a timely way. Open another till? No way.despite a hundred other staff standing around or two or three staff serving one person. Just to painful to deal with.ill go elsewhere and there are other options.

Best Coustmer service I had a bit of strange part to order that Lowe’s usually don’t carry but there staff member Bilal and Judy went there extra way to help me they waited on phone with supplier and find a way to get me my part. Judy saved me almost 1200 dollars I went to all the plumbing store in Calgary no body bother to put an effort or time

The only thing good I can say about Lowe's is that the staff (what few there are) are friendly. And one of them knew where else I should be shopping to find what I need.

Didn't have exactly what I was looking for but staff member was able to assist. Unfortunately the alternative did not work and I had to return the items. Staff was helpful and friendly.

Terrible customer service… avoid this store!
I called the store asking about renting van, i was told it is 90 min and i can come tp store by 7: 30.
I drove 20 min to get there and reached there by 7: 10. Knowing my rent won’t last more than 3 min. Some called Raman was there. She asked her supervisor to help.
The section supervisor, Mathew, without any conversation just said NO. He told me that they dont rent after 7: 00 pm.
Although i told him i was not told you are not renting after 7: 00 i drove here and my work is short, he just said NO.
That was the most bizzare customer service i saw for a customer who drove 20 min there … i can’t believe why they have such customer service supervisors!

Bought my first charcoal grill today from this location. John C did an amazing job explaining every detail from the grill itself to accessories even the coal and wood for cooking. This was a great experience and it all happened with in my budget. Thanks very much John

We had a very positive experience with a man named Ken who helped us choose a bbq this week. He was very knowledgeable about which bbq would meet our needs and the pros/cons for each. He took his time with us and was so polite and helpful that my husband decided not to shop around as we planned and bought the bbq on the spot. We really appreciated his informative and attentive assistance. On check out the cahsiers were very kind as well, and Ken even loaded the bbq into our car for us!

Went specifically in for a price match, took 20 minutes for them to research if they would honor it. It was pretty straight forward and from a credible company. They finally decided to go through with it but failed to add the additional 10% off that they advertise.

Went into the store with my wife looking at purchasing gardening supplies today. A planter was labeled at a lower price that did not match the price at the tills. The cashier and supervisor was starting the price adjustment while calling in the manager Ashley. She did not even try to match the price or offer any real customer service as we waited for awhile to get it done. All she had to say was "You don't want it? " This was by far the worst experience at this location. Being a manager, customer service should be your #1 priority. The hourly staff displayed more of this than Ashley did. Home depot will be our go to place from now on.

Huge selection and friendly staff will to help when they can. They have great sales especially at the change of the season. Generally my go to when looking more in-depth for home improvement options.

I want to preface by saying I RARELY will leave a one star review.

This was my first time coming into this Lowe’s. I am refurbishing a dresser I have and needed new knobs (I also didn’t want to spend a fortune on them) so I found two bins that were labeled $2.49. It took me a while to sift through this bin to find twelve matching knobs. I take them to the register to only find out they are $9.99 each. I took them to the bins to show them and they refused to honour this price even though they were all clearly in the bin, and then some.
The cashier who was helping was LOVELY. It was the cash manager who was really unfair in this situation (as this is always the case in most retail stores). I work in customer service myself so I get it on both sides, but, I guess everyone handles situations differently. I don’t think this was handled right at all.

Seems every department went to had a polite person to serve us. And most importantly a cashier at the til. That is very important to me. I don't do self check out. I will leave the store empty handed again and again!

This place is a joke. They gave me staledated cheques and i had to beg for them to give me real ones. If you work at this establishment, I feel for you. Get out when you can.

It was a tough day for the outdoor plants because of cold weather. Unfortunately there were no staff outside. The cashier staff are very helpful. A staff member walked away from me as I was shopping. I believe staff should look customers in the eye, greet them and ask if they want help.

Sales associate that my husband and I dealt with today at the Signal Hill Lowe's store was extremely rude. I have never encountered such rudeness from sales staff anywhere else. I am never setting my foot in that store again.

Went to the store to buy a trailer. They were moved from one side of the store outside to the end of the parking lot. No one seemed to know where they are so I had to wait for the "guy that knows".
To keep it short - after some time I succeeded to buy it and was sent to the Registry across the street to register it. At the Registry they asked for a bill of sale (not the receipt) and sent me back disappointed to request the document from Lowe's.
Had to wait again for the "guy that knows" and after some time made the trip to the Registry again. This time success.
Came back to collect my purchase but again had to wait some time for the "guy that knows" to give me the last of the documents after the trailer is registered (that's the order of things when you buy a trailer). He sent another guy to unlock the trailer (locked at the end of the parking lot), who seemed certainly like the "guy that doesn't know".
After a slow walk in the cold wind of Calgary spring (I guess he was paid by hour not by work done), we arrived at the trailer. He had to confirm the VIN number but had some troubles reading even though seemed like graduated last month.
When attempting to unlock, it turned out he had the wrong key and regardless how much time he wanted to spend on unlocking it, it did not work.
So, he went back. After I waited for him to come back for over 15 minutes, I had to dial Lowe's number (a bit difficult after my fingers were frozen on the open Calgary parking lot) and ask politely what.is going on. Shortly after that the "guy that doesn't know" came with one of the managers. He was had a power metal cutter in his hand and the manager had a whole bunch of keys.
After determining no of the keys work, the power cutting of the lock started with all sparkles and smoke in the air. To lighten the mood I joked with the manager that it is good they have Low's vests, otherwise the police would have pulled in already.
The battery of the power tool died before the lock was cut.
The guy went back for another battery. A bit more waiting outside, enjoying the cold and the guy came back - this time with a new battery and a hand saw.
After the second battery died (that's when the light mood started to get heavy for me), he continued to cut by hand.
Anyway, the trailer was eventually loaded/connected with my truck and one of the rear lights was not working.
Could not be returned at this point as it was already registered and honestly I just wanted to go home.
The manager there did not offer any discount but took my phone so they can order a new light for me (even though the harness could be the problem not the light.). Later on I got a phone call from Lowe's to give me the manufacturer contact where I should get the light myself.

Buying my fist trailer took only one hour and fifty minutes! (not counting the time laying under it to fix the wires).
If only I had video taped it and got million hits on the tube.

Extremely poor customer service for an appliance purchase. Because of being 1 day past the 30 day return deadline even though it had been delivered over 1 week after the purchase date we were left to deal with getting service ourselves because it was "better for Lowes" according to the appliance managet

Went to Lowe’s Hardware located at Cross-Iron Blvd (Calgary, AB) on evening of Jan 19/21.
Was going to purchase some ‘bolts’ for a project and got sidetracked looking at other merchandise.
Long story short a customer service rep (Justin P) approached and offered assistance.he went waaaay above and beyond with his service! Very knowledgeable, professional and considerate. Tracy F (at the purchase area) was also very kind and helpful.
I’ve shopped at Lowe’s before and truly APPRECIATE their helpful staff!
Good prices too ~ ended up with the bolts I came to get and also purchased an off-season Husqvarna mower for an “awesome deal. ”
If I could give 10* I would -

There return policy is bull. Bought a brand new washer and dryer and it was faulty within 2 weeks. I was told to buy and new one and pay for a new shipping fee to get another ordered. Why not just exchange the appliances like all other stores, really make me pay for a whole new set before I can return my old one what a crock do not buy appliances there. Thier policy is complete BS

'They are doing great job! Friendly and professional! ' This was my initial review. The staffs are getting lazy to direct the customer to find right stuff for their home project. Dont disturb when their employees chatting each other. They can also chat each other within 2 feet but cannot help customer within 2 meter cause of Covid. They are not gonna be happy by inturrupted their personal matters.

We had a very positive experience at this location thanks to staff member Avani Pandya. She was the main reason for our decision to buy products at this location. She is extremely dedicated, professional and knowledgeable since the first moment we started interacting with her. She often stays late past her shift to help us and went well above our expectations in every single step of the way during our purchasing process.
