I called ahead of time and asked the Cost for an oil change on a 2017 Dodge 3500 6.7 Cummins diesel. I was told the prices was 139.99 or 189.99 for different oil. Upon arrival to Lube city in Cochrane, I was told the prices 235.99 and that the guy I spoke to on the phone made a mistake. Hard to make a mistake when you give him all the vehicle details he asked for. Very poor understanding from the staff in Cochrane. Won’t be coming back again

Went here two days ago and the only good thing about this experience was it was fast. This is my first time going here and I said I just want a basic oil change. I was charged $125 then they said that my type of vehicle needs synthetic oil which I agreed too not knowing that was a $15 up charge (my mistake) They then tried to push filter changes on me at $60 each, I had to stop the guy from going ahead and doing it without even asking. They didn’t top up any fluids. I was out of wiper fluid when I got there, still didn’t have any after leaving. I knew my coolant was low so I asked them to top that up which was also added to my bill, and it had been a while since my last oil change so I agreed to a flush which was an additional $27
After all was said and done I spent nearly $200
Last time I went to Mr. Lube to get a basic change and a flush it ended up being like $70 so I don’t know why this was so expensive! I learned my lesson, I’ll be going elsewhere next time.

There are a lot of negative reviews for this location but I don't agree with a lot of them. I've been using Lube City for many years now and they've always been pretty good. They do try to up-sell but what company doesn't? If I refuse, I don't find that they pressure me. I have had my oil changed on many vehicles over the years and the vast majority were done well. Once I had a small leak, I took it back and they fixed the issue with no problem at all. They were very apologetic.

I do think the ownership has changed many times over the years though so there may have been issues during times of transition.

If you are really concerned and uptight about your oil change (I drove older cars that have little value) you should probably just go to a dealership.

Best oil change experience I’ve had in a long time. Luckily pulled up and there was an empty bay for me, service technician was professional and efficient. No ops selling, and the price for synthetic was very reasonable, and they offered three types and price points. I will definitely be back.

I knew the day was over early for these guys when I pulled in, to see a client getting turned away - the worker then proceeded to approach me, and tell me my car runs the same filter as the previous vehicle, of which the shop had none. Understandable if the previous vehicle was even similar to mine. But I'm pretty sure that a late model V6 gas burning Dodge Caravan uses a different filter than an older VW diesel. At least the next guy had the decency to pretend to look at the computer, and then tell me there were no filters for my car.

This shop is either under supplied, or the employees go out of their way to turn away business to avoid actually working.

A previous attempt by my wife to get our oil changed was met with "you need an appointment".

I would give zero stars if it was an option.

Went there for an oil change, a service later we went to do it at home which we have done multiple times before they WAAAYYY over tightened the oil filter. It's 3/4 of a turn! Not turning it until it no longer moves! Was nearly impossible to get off! Broke a oil filter wrench trying to take it off! Insanely irritating!

Did exactly what I asked. Feels like the price goes up over time though and costs more then it is worth for an oil change, but they get the job done when I cant.

Slow, unprofessional and overpriced.they showed me the oil level before dropping out the old oil. And never showed me the level of the new oil. They said they check all my fluids but. Never showed me the condition of any of the fluids or notifying me of the levels. I will not return to this shop. And would recommend staying clear of this place.

Have used this business for years however my most recent experience wasn't up to par. Brought my own Ford Oil Filter and received a $3.00 Credit for not using their generic one. Yep a 33.00 filter and they credit only 3.00. Questioned them on this and that's their system. Service was efficient yet a 3.00 credit for a diesel filter was insulting.

Went today for an oil change for a duramax. Asked for the conventional basic oil which is $104.99. They told me they are out of that package. But I could go with the bottled oil change for $124.99. When I asked the tech where are the bottles he told me they just take it off the gun from the big barrel in the back. Now that to me is a conventional oil change. If it’s bottled I should be able to take the empty jugs with me. It’s a scam. Also asked if they had greased all the grease points but they were out of grease. So that service couldn’t be completed but had no problem checking it off on the checklist you have to sign prior to leaving. Won’t ever be back!

Last week, my wife got her oil changed and they forgot to put the oil pan plug back in! She unknowingly drove to the car wash a few blocks down the road and washed her vehicle. Once she was done, she started it up and both the oil and engines lights went on. She then drove back to Lube City where they explained their error, apologized, put her oil plug back in, and filled it back up with oil. The problem is that the engine fan and the short drive had spewed oil all over the engine compartment and underneath the car. They cleaned it up a bit, but her nice newer car still had gooey oil residue that dirt is clinging to and it is starting to look like a 300,000 km beater with an oil leak under the hood! They couldn't wait to get my wife out of there and did not offer her any compensation for her time or trouble. Now we're going to have the engine steamed in the spring at our cost due to their error. Had she tried to drive home to our acreage and run out of oil, things could have been even worse. You know. "don't worry, we'll pay to clean you engine bay and undercarriage properly" or even a free oil change voucher would have been nice. We'll never go back there again.

Even with the online $15 off coupon a full synthetic oil change was $126. A bit pricey but I guess that's what you pay for the convenience of not having to book service 2 weeks in advance.

Great job. Quick, good price and informed me about all the service they did and what I needed to know about my truck.
