Try to avoid buying meat from lucky supermarket. I bought frozen chicken after two days, I decided to deforst the meat and cook it. Unfortunately, the meat smelled fowl and disgusting! I end up throwing everything out and lost $40 worth of meat.
I wouldn't give it any rating except for Minus Zero. There was mice in their store. Health inspectors shut it down. I saw a big gray dead rat in their parking lot. Yes it was a rat. I took a picture of it, and sent it to the health inspectors.
Nice variety of necessities from shampoo to ground beef, the only bad part is that the checkout lines are disorganized as during busy times people line up wherever they want. One of the checkout lines is in an aisle which makes sense because there is no room to line up anywhere. The aisles can barely fit two carts side by side so I would not even think of going into the aisle where the checkout line is. The good thing is the parking lot's potholes got filled.
Please do something about the smell here. I cannot walk to the meat section without wanting to puke because of the smell. The smell pretty reaches to the other side of the store. I can't linger in this store as a result, I pretty much just run in to grab what I need and then I'm out of here. The only thing this place has going for it is that the occasional good deal for produce.
I have worked at Lucky supermarket for the past 15 years and my review of the place is management need to improve and give the right feedbacks and give bonus to the right employees I have been treated un fairly I had a accident and I was let go of no reason bar all when I trued to talk to the manager of the store he was not there and I talked to my supervisors and I talked to chi in Sunridge lucky supermarket and there was no improvement I had been let go for no reason of my own. I was only trying to follow the instructions what I was given and I was fired for that reason and there was no feedbacks or termination letter given
Brought a bag of egg noodles and when I open it up there was mold in the noodle. I live far so I was to lazy to drive back there next time I will look closer before I buy it. But there was no expiration date to be found on the bag.
Fresh Asian vegetables and meats. Clean isles and somewhat organized. I hope they clean the parking lot much better. Lots of used face mask and pot holes.
I wasn't there, must be because I drove by. But I have been in this store and they have some cool stuff, some good sales. Small, but has stuff other grocery don't.
Clean observing health protocols. Prices of items we needed were a bit higher compared to Hong Kong Supermarket and quality of fresh produce were not satisfactory. Maybe we came on a wrong day.
They sell lots of asian products and price was fair. However, when we were visiting a commotion happens and they have no security to handle things which disruptive our visit.
I love this store, friendly staff, and fresh, ts a old 1980 safeway building but kept very clean. I wasnt sure what to expect but I like to try new things and well here is the store. I always find so many Asian foods I as a western born guy I have never seen. The staff do their best to explain some items I was not sure what it was. The meat counter has real butchers cutting meat to order. Want a 2 Inch steak you got it. Full racks of ribs (uncut) are 3 feet long and 2 feet wide. The ground beef is ground in front of you.not out of a tube like supermarkets. Even fresh offal is available. If you want to do the internet volcano noodles challenge they have all of the flavors. Don't forget the snacks aisle. I always leave with a lot of bags and new adventures in cooking.
At first glance I noticed how clean and well kept the store was. The staff were really friendly and so helpful. Had a question after my shopping and all my questions were answered and the gal on the phone was so patient. Would certainly go back!
I have to say during Covid times when u walk in you can smell the bleach so u know this place is clean. Saw a guy with a spray bottle spraying down the baskets and carts. Place is clean and organized some stuff is reasonably priced depends on what you're looking for.
Hated it here very racist against natives went walking to withdrawal money at atm, browsing for groceries with floor walkers holding my hand the whole time. Being sarcastic. Felt like it anyway, very invasive and rude not every native steals, anyway spent 140 there. But I like the foods they have here
Also, it's very clean place to shop, organize, staff are friendly, helpfull, easy to find stuff that you need, well prepared as well to prevent covid19, Arrows where to go are well laid out to avoid such crowd in one place. Comfortable atmosphere to buy groceries. Keep it up!
Expired products on shelves and pests in rice, recently bought some chili oil here and i unfortunately didnt check the due date, it was a year expired and i noticed too late.
Nice to finally find a place with a huge selection of sauces and spices, 4 stars because the meat section is lacking. Fish selection is huge too, pescatarian paradise
Don't go here if you need something for the night and all you have is change.they won't except. I guess it's against their policy not accepting change.go to giant tiger across the field they will help you out if you talk to them.
Wonderful butcher with amazing prices! Love having fresh ground beef/pork for dinner for only a handful of change! The smell is something left to be desired, but the produce section, (with great prices on sprouts and green onions:) totally makes up for that! Hahahahahahahahaha
Love this place! Wonderful pricing, everyone is always super delightful to be around. Highly recommend. Love the different selection of food and goodies not normally seen in a traditional shopping center. Keep up the amazing work!
Be careful about expired products here. Just bought this morning Sep 8 and forgot to check the date on the package. It was expired on Sep 2 already. The label was covered so didn’t see how bad it was. So disappointed and gross
This nucky's has improved a lot than what it was before. The inside is cleaner and renovated so everything looks newer and better than what it was before.
If you need butcher meats, they have great prices and sales that make it even better. You have to pick through the fruits and vegetables, and those prices are competitive.
Tuna poke was average. Not enough flavour so nothing pops when you're eating it. Usually the sauce is what grabs you. The quality of the fish is high and the ingredients are fresh though!
