Love how beautiful it is! And I love that you are able to sit by the water and watch it! As well it’s super clean!

I'm only giving three stars because it was a beautiful series however within a hundred m walk with my dog I discovered three used needles one of them in a tree visible from the walkway. Left with my dog immediately. If not for the scenerywill not have even given a rating.

Place reeked of river piss was a decent walk but way too smelly for my girlfriend and I to handle. Would still recommend

Favorite part of the river valley to go biking! Trails are fun and well maintained! (paved) There are lots of people using the trails too, families, runners, scooters, e-bikes, skateboarders - but everyone seems to be polite and mindful of traffic around them while on the trail. Great views of the river, lots of benches and rest areas to chill or have lunch!

Great people path. Busy on weekends. Be curtious. Watch your speed and use your bell if biking. If you are walking, a bell means SHARE THE PATH! If you have dogs, they CAN walk on the grass, they don't need to walk on both sides of you on the paved path-that is NOT sharing the path!

It's so peaceful and has such a nice view of the river. Also booze is legal to drink there so that's cool
15 July 2022 18:38
Lots of great views and trails. Go during the weekdays and not on weekends as is gets very busy on nice days and the trails are crowded.

Nice place for a walk but when you get to the end before the neighborhood start you will find a homeless camp with some sketchy people

So beautiful - had such a wonderful time biking around the park. It's fairly easy to get there via the bike paths along 102 Ave and it's a great spot to have a picnic.

Great place to reconnect to nature when you can't leave the city. The sounds of traffic are dampened and the birds are abundant, which makes for a good meditative walk

Great park, clean and well taken care of. There's water and slight hills, one of the best you could expect from Edmonton.

When I die my name better be on a plaque down here somewhere. I spend that much time in this beautiful ravine park.
15 October 2021 19:20
Good peaceful walking, quiet and full of birds, friendly people with dogs. A great place to unwind.

The trail is packed gravel, and slopes gently down toward the river. Which makes for a heart-pumping climb out! There are a few access points, some with stairs, and one with a steeper incline. I would rate this trail technically easy, with moderate traits. Dogs are permitted on leash.

A beautiful way to get out with the kids and play in nature. We love nature walks, exploring various birds and wildlife on the trail.we enjoy the off the beaten path exploring that we can do!

Beautiful, but busy path with many cyclists. Great place to walk, and many benches to sit and enjoy the view.

Awesome section of the rivervalley. Perfect for walks, even better for picnics. Two modes of access, you can go through Groat road and there is parking. You can also park close to 142 street. You can see downtown from the trail, and what looks like Wayne Gretzky's house looking up.

Great place to bring the family for a picnic or suntan with views of the Saskatchewan River. As a cyclist, I love starting at the Stony Plain road entrance and speed cycling down the whole section since it's a downward path till you get to the river. They also have BBQ pits! Be prepared though, if the weather is good then it will be packed. But that's like most parks in the River Valley.

Great place for walking or biking, any time of the year. Lots of greenery. Right @ North Sask. River.
25 January 2021 13:14
Great views of the city for sure! Plenty of walking room on the paths and very close to the river

The scenery is so beautiful in the river valley. Always great to see nature's beauty as it regularly changes.

Beautiful long downhill swoop into the river valley - as long as you don't mind the uphill return. Lots of trails and exits from the main paved path. If you're on a bike have a bell installed!
30 November 2020 5:41
Great pathways and good access to down town. Construction staging for the bridge is taking up one of the lots, but the others are still accessible.
26 November 2020 17:42
Nice area and very clean, not too crowded on a weekend. Goes on for a while you could walk for hours, one of the more scenic walks in Edmonton

The hill is a bit steep for walking but doable and the scenery is nice. Links to Government Hill park and the rest of the river valley.

Stopping by here on a canoe trip down the river. Nice place to stop and have a picnic, good views of downtown and the river valley.
19 November 2019 19:00
More of a way to get from point a to point b. A great option for non car travelling. Great views, many benches to stop and take a break, and a lot of little trails to explore.
14 October 2019 12:41
A decently sized park but not somewhere I generally go for a picnic. It does however make part of my bicycle commute refreshing!
21 August 2019 2:58
Beautiful place, very expansive, and worth the difficulty you will have finding parking.you can catch concerts that are playing across the river at Keiler Point, or whatever it has been renamed to. Come here and get fit, you will be blown away by the scenery!

Good place to just get away from the wife, by taking my kids to the Park and leaving them there especially when we live in the house next to it. Happiness is being ALL ALONE for even the most unhappiest guy.
31 July 2019 1:23
The park mainly consists of a long stretch of asphalt to walk and commute on.it has small trails that veer off along the way, one that will loop in to hawrelak park.there is a main park area with BBQ and picnic tables by groat road but bridge construction currently is occupying the parking lot until sometime in 2020.
21 July 2019 3:52
The park is beautiful! Spend some time here. Walking biking. The area has lots of running groups & cycling groups. Dogs are everywhere. I think everyone in the neighborhood has at least one.
15 July 2019 8:01
Very pretty place right beside the river and just up the path you can walk through one of edmonton's wealthiest neighborhood. It has walking trails fire pits and picnic benches and leads you straight into downtown edmonton.
15 December 2018 22:44
Beautiful park in the fall. The Edmonton river valley is very scenic place to be when the leaves turn colours. Close to hawrlak park, Emile Murphy park is a quiet place to go when you need a break from the hustle and bustle of festival season in Hawrlak park.

This is one of my favourite place to start my walks, hikes, and bike rides. You can travel the paved trail until your feet bleed or until you get to Rundal park, which ever happens first.

There are great paths to hike through which also double as single track trails to be ridden by bike. There is a trail that heads south off of the main trail and will connect you to Mackenzie ravine and the wooden walk way. During the winter parts this trail becomes very icy and has some fairly steep areas to climb and during the summer you will need to cross a few areas that have streams the run through it.
