I have always been one that is scared to go to the dentist that and I have had several bad experiences with dentists in the past, but Macleod Dental really made me feel safe and for once in my life I had no fear. I went in for an examination on my wisdom teeth to begin with which, that appointment made me feel very good and and I already love everyone there immediately.

Then the next time I went in for minor fillings and and cleaning. Dr Gill did my fillings and she was so wonderful! I let her know that I have fibromyalgia and because of that I don't take to freezing very well, it wears off rather quickly and I have a very low pain tolerance, and she was very accommodating with my disabilities, let me take several breaks for the pain in my jaw, and was very understanding when it came to my fibromyalgia.

Then after the fillings, I met another wonderful girl that I cannot remember her name for the life of me, that did my cleaning! And she did a beautiful job! My teeth feel brand new. Her and I talked the entire time! She was so kind and caring, and was also very understanding of my disabilities. She made sure the entire appointment was a comfortable experience for me.

The whole team at Macloud dental are wonderful, the front staff are so welcoming and sweet and all the dentist's and dental assistants are thorough and kind!

Highly recommend this place even if it's a bit out of the way for you I promise it's worth it!

I haven't been in this building well over 16 years but it had an N64 that I could play back then so it can have a review in retrospect for the sake of nostalgia.

I have always had very positive experiences at Macleod Trail Dental. The dentists and hygienists are very friendly, professional and thorough. I have sensitive teeth and used to get nervous before appointments, but the team takes great care to maximize my comfort. As a result, I no longer dread going to the dentist! If you have no or little coverage, there are options to select minimal treatments or pay in installments. During my last visit, my hygienist Raven did a phenomenal job. I'm extremely happy with the care my family receives from Macleod Trail Dental. I would not hesitate to recommend their services.

I've been going here since I was a kid, and while the dentists and receptionist are all amazing, the last time I went they said I wouldn't see the dentist because I was early and instead got a teeth cleaning. While that's fine, I was going about a specific issue and would have been okay waiting.

A wonderful dental office on Macleod Trail in South East Calgary. Kathy my dental hygienist does an amazing job every time, and I can not be happier with the experience.

We have been going to MacLeod Trail dental for almost 10 years. Service has been good, and prices have gotten better over the last 2-3 years. Kathy was an excellent hygienist who took the time to explain the steps needed to keep your teeth clean.

This is the worst service I had receive, I was scheduled for teeth whitening after I had already signed the consent form, make payment and seated for the procedure to start I was told they needed to cancel my appointment without any reason I was shocked, no empathy considering I have to leave my workplace and other things I scheduled to come for the procedure, this is just painful.

Kathy is very thorough and educated me on my treatment plan. Highly recommended! Overall visit was great!

I have been extremely happy, with the quality, service and genuine care that I have received over 20 years. Kathy my current dental hygienist has done an immaculate job keeping my teeth healthy, through great advice, care and regular checkups. Dr. GIll is a phenomenal dentist, who is gentle, caring and has wealth of knowledge.

I am not happy with their customer service. My family is their client and the Receptionist who introduce herself as a manager, her behavior is very rude. I will never go there and not recommend to anyone. We wanted to reschedule our appointment 3 days before but they denied.

I've been using Kathy as my dental hygienist for 2 years now. I keep going back because she's gentle with my teeth, especially the sensitive areas that I've told her about. She also has given excellent advice about my general dental health.

After ignoring my teeth for longer than I should have I have spent alot of time here getting things back on track. Dr Gill is top notch and makes you feel comfortable. She listens and gets the job done. I'm finally not afraid of the dentist.

Unfortunately, I was very unhappy with my experience at this dentist. I came to them to have my wisdom teeth removed, I filled out all of the paperwork they needed with my medical history and everything beforehand. I came in for my appointment and one of the assistants brought me to a room and said she would go see if the dentist was ready. She came back 5 minutes later and told me that the dentist took a look at my file and would not take me as a patient because I'm too high risk (health reasons). I was brought back to the front and charged $60 for the "consult". While I can understand the reasoning behind not taking me as a patient due to my autoimmune problems, what I don't understand is charging someone just to tell them no. I could have been told that over the phone, but instead I lost a day's worth of work AND was charged for a consult where the dentist didn't even step into the room to see me or explain the situation themselves. I went to another dentist and before booking I explained that I couldn't afford a consult session just to be told no, and my new dentist was horrified that that happened the way it had, and suggested I report it. I assume this isn't a regular occurrence, but I am really disappointed in this happening to me and think it could have been handle much better. Perhaps come in to tell me no yourself, if you're going to charge me for you time.

Had my first visit to Macleod trail dental, the staff was very friendly, got me in quick and did an excellent clean on my teeth! Dr. Yu caught some important problem areas and did a thorough exam. I had just moved here from BC and had tried a different dental office downtown which was just horrible. So happy to of found an exceptional place to look after my teeth!

Upon showing up for appointment I was told that the moved me out of the schedule. I took the afternoon off work to be there. Wast of time.

I was told that you had called me to confirm. After checking my phone records I received no phone calls from the dental office. I was not told that I would still be seen. What I was told is that if the next appointment does not show up then they could see me. Very dissatisfied with your response.

Recently, I had an unexpected 3hr long major dental surgery with Dr. David and his team. The best ever experience I have had with the service being provided. Dr. David took his time to make sure the procedure being done properly. Moreover, the total cost for the procedure was surprisingly reasonable. Dr.and his team were great on post operative follow-up as well. I do appreciate their hard work and would recommend this place to anyone.

Great service and nice staff. The dental hygienist by the name of Demi is by far the best I have seen. I did not go for the dentist for more than two years because of Covid. Well, she did a great job in cleaning my teeth. Ladies and gentleman, you will no pain or discomfort, she has magical hand. I am for sure going to use her service in the future!

400 dollars to remove a tooth is way too much and then they said oh there’s 5 roots it’ll be 500. Get bent went elsewhere for 320 dollars. Of all the dentist I’ve been to I’ve learned go to older experienced ones who don’t just see dollar signs in their clients

I wish I could give more than 5 stars. Dr. David removed my wisdom teeth a few weeks ago and did an awesome job. Just had a follow up and have healed wonderfully! Everyone who works in this office is super friendly and will make you feel extremely well taken care of. Thank you!

Horrible slow service and incompetent dentists. The Crown I needed to be fitted took forever. And was not done properly in one sitting. Needed adjustment like 3 times. On top of that they missed the payment to my insurance and now I'm out 900 bucks from my pocket. Their response was that they tried to reach me and some nonsense about privacy act. Stay as far away from this dental office as possible. No consideration for the consumer.

Well I've only been to one other dental clinic but decided to try something closer to home and I'm glad that I did. It was a great clinic experience from booking on the phone to having left after the appointment. Everyone is so friendly and pleasant. They explain everything to you and don't make you feel bad for say having not been to a dentist in a longggggg time. Thank you. Though no one looks forward to the dentist, uh, guess I'll be seeing you again soon.

They're so friendly and kind and gentle, they've basically cured me of my fear of dentists. I'm so glad I found this place.

Great experience considering I needed to get an emergency tooth pulled. They were able to see me quickly the appointment took no time at all. Dr.gill was very knowledgeable and experienced pulled that bad wisdom tooth out like a boss. The dental assistant Tubde, was so caring and did a great job of comforting me while Dr. Gill was doing her thing. I cant say i loved the whole experience cause like ouch but these ladies really did take care of me. Thanks for the juice sorry I spit and drooled on you. If you need dental work you should go here just saying.

TLDR; Friendly and knowledgeable staff care about your wellbeing and health.

I've been to several clinics over the years and most of the time someone finds a way to make you feel a little bad about yourself.
Today was my first experience with this clinic, and boy oh boy was it different.

We were greeted by an uber friendly receptionist who was bubbly and happy to see us. We filled out some paper work (being new patients, and the now ever-present COVID-19 checklist), handed them back to the receptionist who gleefully took them, and sat down.
I barely had time to pull my phone out to check the time before I was called back.
WOW. That was fast.

The hygienist I had (I'm so sorry, I don't recall your name, even though you told me!) was awesome. She guided me through the xray process (I've never had the one, it was futuristic!). And then proceeded to clean my gnarly chiclets.
The entire time she made sure I was comfortable, offered me something to reduce the sensitivity (I didn't take her up on this - I made my bed, I'll lay in it - this time), and explained what she saw and what happened to cause her observations.
WOW. I learned something.

Then the dentist, Dr. Gill, came in. She gave me a little jaw massage (sadly, it wasn't as good as a head massage from a stylist, but way more functionable) and did a physical examination on my mouth and tongue. Who knew that your tongue played a role with your teeth.
She ran off a bunch of numbers and letter to the hygienist and coupled them with some words that I've not heard used in that context (watch, buckle, cavity (kidding, I've heard that one before) and then explained some of her findings.
Spoiler: I get to go back a couple times.

When Dr. Gill finished, the hygienist was free to finish descaling my teeth like the dragon skin covered pieces of rock they are and we set up an appointment for her to continue the process.
Yes, my teeth are (were) that bad; I think I gave her a cramp in her arm and hand just from the first round. I'm happy to give her a break and go back another day (besides, I only have so much blood I can bleed from my lack of dental attention over the years).

I'll return to this clinic. In fact, I will likely go back for maintenance and check ups too - typically I just go to dentists when I have a problem.

Hands down the best service I have ever received from a dentist. I have been self conscious about my smile for years and was afraid to fix it due to the severe anxiety I have going to the dentist. Dentists have always been rough with my mouth, insensitive to the fact that I am anxious or overcharge me outrageous amounts of money that I explained I couldn’t afford. The office staff at Macleod Trail dental we’re so understanding and gentle with me, they had a mix up on my file and when brought to their attention went out of their way to make sure it was fixed for me. I dealt with Ildie at the front desk who went above and beyond to make sure that all my appointments ran smoothly and that I felt comfortable with everything that was going on with my dental plan. I would recommend this dental office to anyone really, but especially people who have any kind of fear around going to the dentist or reviving dental work. Thanks guys for your amazing service and my beautiful new smile, because of you I have gained a tremendous amount of self confidence that I had been lacking for years.

Friendly, helpful staff and a very efficient office. My only complaint would be that their costs are slightly above my benefit schedule of costs so even on procedures that I’m 100% covered for, I have to pay an out of pocket amount.

I was in for the first time last week and was gifted with the opportunity to meet both Richelle (Hygienist) and Dr. Gill (Dentist). I say gifted because these 2 women made an extremely anxious situation into something calm, relaxing and educational for me. Going in, I was having terrible anxiety and Richelle took the time to walk me through the entire appointment and what I could expect before she even started. She was thorough, kind, funny and really intelligent and I can't say enough good things about her. After the cleaning and polishing, Dr. Gill arrived and greeted me with a warm smile and a kind introduction. She educated me on exactly what my care plan over the next few months would look like, made sure I left with all my questions answered and made me feel totally at ease. I cannot say enough good things about this practice. If you have ever feared the Dentist, or are simply looking for a new team to make you feel reassured and taken care of, you'll find them here.

P. S. Direct billing was an absolute breeze here, despite our benefits provider being an uncommon one.

Macleod Trail Dental provides a great experience, especially for the notorious patient who hates the dentist. Erin was my hygienist and she was fantastic; she was super informative and patient with my questions and anxieties.

Terrible customer service from the staff. Dentist and assistants were nice but I still get aches and pains that stops me from eating hot/cold/hard foods 8 months after I got fillings and crown so I don't think they get a good job.
Would not recommend you going there if you want dental procedures other than normal cleans.

This office easily has the most beautiful receptionists, hygienists, dental assistants, and dentists, both inside and out! They truly care about their patients want everyone to enjoy their experience and be educated and comforted in the process!

I hate going to the dentist. It’s expensive, it hurts, and I’ve had bad experiences at other clinics. But I’ve been coming here for 3 years and they’ve always been great. Staff is very friendly, and professional. Today at my hygiene with Ryan I almost (almost) even had fun, but please don’t tell him that as I don’t want it going to his head. Thank-you!

Ildie and the team at MacLeod Dental have been amazing! Dr. David took out my wisdom teeth and I've had a couple consultations about how to fix my broken front tooth. From teeth cleaning to IV sedation, everyone has been so comforting, realistic but over the top helpful and I will continue to use them.

Amazing team of professionals in this dental clinic. I have been going there for the last 2yrs. They have done a great work on my crowns, my fillings, dental hygiene etc. Will recommend and keep going, until I stay here in Calgary.

This dentist used to be good, but now they have a bunch of weird office policies where they require you to have a credit card on file, always call me at least 3 times before my appointment asking to move it around, and they charge you $75 if you have to cancel your appointment within 48 hours. But they can't keep an appointment themselves - I was informed today when I showed up for my appointment that it would be at LEAST a 25 minute wait. Would have been nice to get a phone call in advance, but no. Not worth your time.

The great service started with excellent receptionist: Jessica. They responded efficient and professionally and compassionately.
Hygienist Erin clean my little one teeth, And Dr. Moussa and her assistant: Tonisha check up my little one’s teeth professionally, and with kindness. They do a excellent work for my little one. Thank you ALL very much.

Had my first visit here today, and from the ladies at reception, to my dental hygienist (Rachelle), to the Doctor, every single thing about today went above and beyond my expectations. I highly recommend this team for any of your dental needs. What an amazing team!

Awful experience at this place, I switched dentists over a year ago and I get a phone call saying that I owe an outstanding balance and that they sent me emails and phoned me which I have no records of that. I called very upset and then saying that it was my insurance companies fault and I needed to contact them worst part is this was back in 2018 and I just found out now in 2019 almost a year after with no notice or emails. When I questioned why didn’t I get any emails there response was oh looks like we didn’t follow up cause we were waiting on our end. It’s super frustrating as I wish I would have dealt with this before and for them to say that I was good to go and having no emails or letter by mails to notify me. I will never be back after this, as I am now worried about collections coming after me thanks to these people who aren’t doing there jobs and making sure every client is up to date.

My family has been coming here since the mid 1980’s. We recently moved to Vernon BC and plan to keep coming here when we visit family in Calgary.

We were excited to transfer to this dental clinic as it was conveniently located near our house and after reading some good reviews online. It was a pretty good run in the beginning, however, after a few more visits we started to realize a drop in quality of dental care. The hygienist we often saw was pretty good, it was the dentist that was lacking in attention to detail and poor communication. We raised our issues in terms of the poor fillings for one of our kids and with my wife never getting any care after seeing a specialist they recommended. We informed this clinic that we need to get my wife in right away post-specialist as our dental benefits was ending soon. We were told they were gonna contact us with an appointment, but no appointment was ever set. Maybe they assumed that since we didn't have anymore benefits as a sign that we couldn't pay, but that couldn't be further from the truth. The only thing we truly enjoyed was the free happy visit for my little ones.

I really appreciated the diligent and thorough care. It was clear that I was in the hands of highly trained professionals.

I came to know this dental office through an emergency. I was not sure what to expect but I needed service. They responded fast and professionally. I was amazed at the level of service and the speed. I paid cash, but the price paid was lower then I had anticipated. The facilities are modern and clean. My only complaint would be the parking provided is limited and confusing.

My last cleaning and check up was done by Ryan who did a fantastic job; he walked me through everything, provided explanations and recommendations and he was extremely understanding of my irrational fear of dentist's offices.

They made no attempts to contact me about an outstanding balance of $2.00 from previous services. My email and phone number had not been changed whatsoever.

I get a yellow letter in the mail from them notifying I've been charged $2.00, on my credit card on file with absolutely no communication prior. This letter came after I found a random charge in my statement I couldn't pin to a transaction I did. I was actually in the the process of collecting information to determine if this was fradulent or not.

Their random charge (that happend about 6-8 months after my services) is interesting as I have the receipts that show I had paid in full at the time of service. When I had spoke with someone over the phone they were combative and unhelpful. I requested that they remove all my personal information from their systems upto and including my credit card as I would not be back. No one at the office thought to look into my problem or follow up with me.

Im not here to cry over $2.00 but rather showcase how they treat clients who "owe them money". I would have happily delivered a toonie to their offices had they attempted to contact me. Please keep this in mind when they ask you to leave a card on file!

Ryan cleaned my teeth today and they are wonderful! Did a fantastic job he was gentle and made sure I was comfortable my teeth have never felt cleaner thank you! Was a great experience definitely highly recommend to go here for a great dentist
