The food is very delicious in that place. They have food for all tastes. We ate pasta with the best garlic bread I have ever tasted.it came served piping hot and tasted exquisite. I gave 4 stars because there were a lot of flies bothering me. I recommend that you buy the ultra violet light restaurant lamps.
We just moved to Fort MacLeod and tried out Macleod's Restaurant before we'd had a chance to fill the fridge with food. What a fantastic place, food was delicious, they have a great selection of on tap from local / surrounding breweries, and the pricing was great. Will certainly be visiting again and if you have a chance when driving through you should as well - will not be disappointed!
Food was amazing. Service was awful the bigger lady that was serving us only checked on our table a couple times only 1 refill she just stood behind the counter the whole time. We were finished eating for like 15 minutes and before she came to see if we were done. This is the second time we had her and both were the worst we have had
Stopped in for lunch. Although the place is dated and could use some cleaning our smoked Montreal sandwiched were amazing and our server was very sweet and such a good price! We are used to city prices lol we would eat here again
Lots of empty tables but they were "full". Doing prep in a booth during rush hour. Never going back. Ordered pizza once before, was not 2 for 1 like they advertise.
The place was dirty! Blinds, table edges, walls! Run down looking with fogged windows. Generally grubby. The waitress was not awesome. Sat with no water. Told when we arrived that they were very busy and it would be about am hour before we would get our food. She was cranky and it was obvious she would rather we leave.
Had dry ribs were way over cooked, the ranch that came with them when I got to bottom had what looked to be a tooth elastic in it I almost puked, told the server, she was grossed out too, took it to show the cook I told husband pay and let’s go before I throw up, went out had a smoke came back in and had a server run up to me and tell me it was a piece of parm that was it I had to get out never so grossed out in my life, how did this person know weather it had been in my mouth or not won’t return
Ordered medium rare steak was served a very well done steak after sending it back received second one that was so salty it burned your mouth needless to say we were not impressed and left hungry
Great food! Excellent quantity of food given, too. But, if you’re calling in an order for pick-up, and the person on the phone tells you your food will be ready in “thirty minutes”, expect to wait another 15-30 minutes once you get to the restaurant to pickup your takeout meal. Happens to me every time I order pickup takeout. Next time I go there in person, I’ll ask if they start preparing your order as soon as they get off the phone with a customer, or do they start your order when you get there and pay for your meal in person?
Boats over cooked until burnt, Wrong sauce on order then get called a liar from kitchen staff, Server tried to be helpful. Been a loyal customer of theirs for over 5 years & its seriously going down hill.
Wife and I went there on a Monday around 1pm. Walked in and sat down, ordered a BLT and a Beef Dip sandwich with fries. Food came in about 10 minutes and it was fresh and delicious. The gravy for the fries tasted home made, I would eat here again.
Based on all the reviews we thought this would be a great option to eat at but we had some mixed feelings. First, the waitress we had, it was her second day and she was very pleasant and professional. We must have gotten there at the busiest time and they must have been short staffed or something because it took 1 and a half hours before we got our food. There were four adults and four kids and having to wait that long was pretty crazy. We ordered some pizzas, burgers, chicken bites and fajitas. The chicken bites were just chopped up chicken strips, but tasted ok. The pizza was tough, cheese was over cooked, and tasted like it sat under a lamp for and hour and 15 minutes. Portions were a good size though. All in all we were all pretty disappointed by how everything panned out. Sorry MacLeod's restaurant and lounge, don't think we'll be back any time soon.
Environment 3 It's a small area. There are a few stains and spills on the walls around our table. The lights are very dull and white. Makes it feel like a truck stop. I would suggest getting warmer light bulbs. Bathroom is well lit and clean.
Service 4.7 It was a seat yourself situation. We sat in the back. It took our server a while to notice us. She apologized once she discovered us. She was pleasant and nice the entire time. Got our drinks refilled whenever we were empty
Taste 3 Theres not much you could do to make these types of dishes bad. We started with the pasta salad. It was quite good, and I appreciate the housenmade dressing. Unfortunately the parmesan was powdered parmesan, which makes me sad. Despite that, it tasted very good. My main course was a hot beef sandwich with swiss cheese accompanied by mashed potatoes. The mashed potatoes honestly tasted leftover and they were smooth on the top. To me this means ingot the last scoop of the day. The hot beef was a little dry, but the gravy had a nice spice to it. The bead wasn't soggy. I would've toasted the bread.
Satisfaction/price 4.2 I got full once I finished my main course. My girlfriend was full so she did not finish her sandwich and packed it up.
