First I turned to Apple Expert. They didn't do anything to me there, they were just rude and I didn't want to communicate with them any further. But this guy is really a normal service. If they do, they do it well and professionally. Nice people work here. Thank you. Diagnostics is free. A person works from home, but you do not overpay as you overpay in "apple expert" for the visibility of luxury service.

Georgio at MacMechanic is awesome! My 2008 iMac wouldn’t boot up. He was able to get it to boot up and recovered all my files, even the files from my Windows Boot Camp partition! The service was fast and very reasonably priced. I highly recommend MacMechanic!

I am sorry to say about macmechanic that guy who has fixed my mac his name was Georgia he wasn't know how to deal with customer very rode and didn't tell me exact problem and even didn't explain me what part he replaced. Time frame wise also very late he took 4 days to fix simple problem. He more focused on his charges, so please if you are taking your apple computer talk to them and ask them price because he fixed my mac before letting me know.
If you find other tech its better to go with them.

Absolutely top notch customer service. My computer suffered a hard drive failure because I dropped it. Georgio sourced parts and had it fixed in one day. As an elderly person my computer is my window in the world and I depend on it for communication. Mac Book Air 10 years old now just like brand new. ️

This guy is rude and arrogant I took my iMac to get it fixed. 1 month later stopped working called back to get the issue fixed for the second time and he ignored my calls. I do not recommend.

Called and explained the issue I was having with my MacBook and after talking to Apple support on the phone, going to the Genius Bar, and calling another independent repair shop, he was the only one that told me that my problem was covered under apple’s repair program because it’s part of “flexgate”.

So even though I didn’t actually receive any service from him, I appreciate his honesty (was a little bit brash/rude on the phone though, but I’d rather that and honesty than a kind liar).

Got my macbook repaired in less than a day. I got quotes from multiple repair shops and apple for upwards of $1000 but Geo did it for $350 and diagnosed the issue in a few hours. Great service. Highly recommended!

No over the phone quotes or even rough ball parks for something simple like a hard drive swap, even if you are happy to give full machine details, they require you to bring the machine in, which is super inconvenient if you live in a rural area. I don't want to drive into the city just to find out what the cost might be. I have no idea if their service is any good, because it isn't accessible to rural customers. There are other shops that will give you a rough cost estimate over the phone, and I'd call them instead if you have to drive into the city for service so that you know what you are signing up for.

Update 1: Call came from a blocked number because during covid, working from home, my company requires us to use our personal phones and I forgot to change the setting before phoning out. The upside to this is that, because I left the business setting on, the call was recorded and I can assure you I was polite. In fact, listening to it again, both he and I were polite, but no alternative was offered other than brining the machine in. Given how they responded to a critique of their handling of a phone call however, I stand by my assertion that they aren’t accessible to rural customers, given that that they can’t help over the phone and are apparently rude online.

Georgio was able to update my (very ancient) macbook and get it back into working order! It was not running properly or efficiently at all and he fixed it up, updated it, and it only took 1 day! He also showed me how to properly use my storage afterwards and was very helpful and informative! He did a 2nd job for me also, I had some files I needed transferred to a new harddrive and he was also able to do this in a day for me! Thank you so much!

Had a MacBook Pro with severe liquid damage and was told by many stores throughout quarantine that the MacBook was irreparable. (London Drugs‍️) MacMechanic was able to get it fixed all while short staffed. The laptop is as good as new. Great service

Amazing experience. I wasn’t in much of a hurry, though I receive lightning quick communication and service. My older MacBook Pro needed a new hard drive. Same day drop off, and it was offered to have it all done by the end of the day! I ended up picking it up the next day. It works better than ever and they updated the system etc etc. Highly recommended. Nothing bad to say.

I recently got my Macbook Air 2011 and iMac 2013 serviced from Mac Mechanic after speaking with Apple advising me to buy new computers. Luckily I found MacMechnic and saved me thousands of dollars. When Georgio serviced my Macbook Air and iMac they worked like new computers! I highly recommend them as Macs last long and are great computers it's just data configuration that MacMechnic worked on and 1 new harddrive for my iMac and it was worth it! Highly recommened.

I had an unexpected hard drive failure on an old iMac that I used every day and depended on a lot, and was basically told that the machine was done. I found MacMechanic on a web search during one more try to save my info. Georgio suggested I bring it in and let him have a look, and he contacted me later the same day to say that this would be workable and suggested that he could transfer my old info to the new iMac as well. I got my info back and all my contacts and email history - which is great. The timing was quick, the work was done right and the price was very reasonable. Really recommend this business.

In this day and age where everything is thrown away and replaced, MacMechanic will help you to get your machine back up and running in the most economic way where purchasing a new computer is not required. MacMechanic's efforts are advantageous for both people's wallets and the planet. My computer crashed and I was in such a panic. Crying to MacMechanic on the phone having the worst day ever, and not only did he encourage me that I could handle the difficulties I was facing that day, MacMechanic went above and beyond to get my data back and get my computer back up and running. I have 2009 MacBook Pro and it was fixed to the point that the computer is running as though it is brand new. Additionally, I was a given free hard drive, as my machine was so old. I had a fantastic experience with Georgio at MacMechanic. I’m very thankful he was able fix my sons MacBook, especially durning this time of homeschooling.
He was able to still work on the lap top, even though most companies have closed down.

Amazing service at a solid price. My MacBook Pro was almost 7-years old and started acting up on me (shutting down without warning and generally crashing at the worst possible time). I had pretty much written it off and was scraping together some cash to shell out for a new one, when I accidentally stumbled upon these guys while I was at an appointment in their building. For $350 they diagnosed the problem, installed a new graphics card (which was the issue) and even cleaned my dirty keyboard and monitor - all in just a few days. Since then my MacBook has been running like new again. I'd highly recommend these guys if you're looking to keep your old Mac products running.

I truly thought my MacBook Air was ready for electronic recycling but Georgio changed that! The Apple store told me it would be close to $1200 to replace parts from water damage but he was able to save my computer and all its data for less than $500!

Had a catastrophic failure of the hard drive on my desktop Mac and wanted only the contents of the hard drive recovered as they contained family photos. They claimed they could do this and after a week handed me a remote hard drive indicating the files had been transferred. Paid and when I brought the drive home it was blank/non readable. Contacted them for feedback and was swept away with no answers or refund. Ended up sending hard drive to BC to get files extracted with professional positive results.

Dropped off my Mac and was then told it was too old to fix. He didn’t ask the age before I dropped it off. Would have saved me a drive across town. Then tries to upsell me a MacBook Pro. I just wanted it fixed
