We had our wedding reception here in Sep 2023. Magnolia has recently come under new management and they've really stepped up their game! Raman was readily available, very reasonable and helped us with every facet of our event. Highly recommended!

First and foremost, the seating arrangement was well-thought-out, ensuring comfort and convenience for guests. The spacious layout allowed for easy mingling and movement.

The stage setup and lighting were equally praiseworthy. The stage design exuded elegance and served as a focal point, making it ideal for various events. The lighting, carefully orchestrated, created a captivating ambiance, enhancing the overall atmosphere.

From booking the venue to coordination with Raman, Banquet Manager we received amazing, detailed, clear, and timely communication from her. The beautiful hall set up decorations by Jas of Fusion Bollywood was great. Highly recommend him for any event. The food by La Jawab and live stalls by Bombay Chowpatty was delicious! Was genuinely a great experience! Overall, I would definitely recommend this place to everyone.

Magnolia Banquet Hall is the best place to organise receptions and parties. We just held our daughters wedding party at the location. The management team is approachable, the food is fabulous, customer experience is mind blowing, DJ Jag provided great music and kept the floor dancing, even the last minute requests were accommodated without a hitch. I am grateful to Sangeeta for anchoring the event and keeping everyone engaged. Special thanks to Sohani Tent house for creating a mesmerizing decor. We loved the way everything was put together. Not only did I love the lights and beautiful set up of the place, but I loved working with Jimmy, and renting this facility from him! He was very very friendly and accommodating, much more than other banquet hall owners; I would definitely recommend booking here, the staff are so helpful and friendly as well.

My wife organized a surprise birthday party for me at this hall on September 24th 2022. The hall is so beautiful and with a very functional layout to accommodate large events. The staff of the hall was so nice and very professional in everything they did. Staff was present to assist from start of event to the end. I attended a surprised birthday at this hall and I have to be honest, it was one of the best halls I ever visited in Calgary. Their services are top notch. The owner is particularly very respectful and very considerate. I will strongly recommend the hall for anyone that is looking for high value at a moderate price.

1. Food was tasty, authentic, and absolutely fantastic.
2. The Hall itself is beautiful- newly renovated so it is clean, immaculate, and just perfect.
3. The sound system including the microphone, multiple screens, & surround sound ensured the background music, music for our slideshows and dancers, and our party music all had perfect sound capabilities and capacity.

Magnolia was our first choice for our wedding reception and we were thrilled when we found out the date we wanted was available. We had our wedding reception there this summer and it was nothing short of magnificent. The venue is beautiful and spacious and was perfect for accommodating our large guest count and would have accommodated for even more if we had wanted! The owner - Jimmy Gill was absolutely wonderful to work with. He made this process so seamless and easy, which is so important when you're dealing with so many vendors at the same time. He was able to accommodate our unique requests as well, which included helping us set up our fondue fountains, candy bar station and photobooth. The most important reason why we chose this venue for our reception was of course the food! Magnolia caters through La Jawab and let me tell you - if you haven't been there, you are definitely missing out! Our guests were raving about how delicious the food was and all compliments go to the chefs, staff and Jimmy as he helped us hand pick our selections to include a wide variety of options to suit all dietary needs. Thank you so much Jimmy, Magnolia team and La Jawab team for making this the most memorable event of our lives!

To be honest, one of the greatest Hall in Calgary. Highly recommend booking with them. They care about their customer. The service, decorations and food made exactly the way we wanted. They listen to their customer and do everything possible to make you happy and make your event memorable. It’s so easy to work with them and their price is affordable. I recently held a wedding event at Magnolia and was beyond happy with the service and people there! The Magnolia team managed the entire event and ensured it was up to my expectations, and were very easy to deal with. I would for sure host another event there!

I attended a beautiful mehndi event this past Wednesday at Magnolia. From the food to the staff to the decorations and lights, everything was perfectly organized. Staff were very professional and kind. This event was well managed and the hall was so beautifully decorated. I wish I had come here for my own wedding because this is such a magnificent wedding venue. The service was above and beyond and I’m so glad I had the opportunity to come to Magnolia Banquet Hall. I also had the opportunity to meet Jimmy the manager. He is one of the most wholesome people I have ever met and he kept checking up on us and asking if we needed anything. For any future weddings/events, I’m going to refer everyone I know to book Magnolia because their service and management is impeccable.

I attended an event this weekend and it was the most best event I ever went to. It was very fun and lots of dancing. Very big dance floor and big hall. I have never been a client of this business but I can attest to the kind of person their owner Jimmy is. Last night a group of me and my friends were out enjoying a dinner and some drinks when to our surprise the waitress told us that our entire tables bill had been covered. Jimmy did not only cover our bill but did so without wanting an ounce of recognition the only reason we found out who he was, was because someone had tipped us off as to who the generous person was. As as university student with student loans to pay off myself this gesture meant the world to me and my friends! As I'm sure many small businesses are struggling through this pandemic amid rising costs and repeated business closures Jimmy still has the kindness in his heart to pick up the bill for a table of completely random people showing the kind of man he is. Jimmy thank you for the gesture and I wish you the best of luck with your business!

This is not a review about the banquet hall necessarily, but a review for the owner Jimmy. Yesterday 5 of my friends and I went out for dinner and drinks. One of my friends went to ask for her bill to leave early and the waitress had whispered that all 6 of our bills that had all kinds of drinks and food on them were already paid for and taken care of. She did not tell us who it was in the restaurant that had paid for it all. Later on in the evening we found out that it was Jimmy who had paid for all 6 of our bills. Out of all of the couples and smaller groups of adults in the restaurant he chose to pay for a bunch of university students bills out of the kindness of his heart. We wanted to thank him and tell him how much it meant to us that he would even think to do that but he was gone before we found out it was him. We also later found out that Jimmy does this all the time just out of the kindness of his heart and doesn’t want the recognition because he simply does it to be a good person and pay it forward. I just want to say thank you so much for your extremely generous deed and it truly did make the rest of our night it’s definitely something I won’t forget. Thank you, thank you, thank you Jimmy.

As part of our DJ service, we also offer Photo Booth services and met with Jimmy to discuss our Photo Booth setup for Harman & Joti's Wedding on August 7th. Jimmy and his team were awesome. When we arrived, they bolted into action and provided the necessary tables, chairs, etc.for the space we had arranged. During the evening the Magnolia team were outstanding and took care of us to ensure everything was working out. Thank you for your great service and we look forward to working with you again in the near future.

We had our daughters Mehndi evening event at Magnolia on July 16th, 2021 with approx 150 guests attending.
Jimmy went the extra mile to ensure everything was beyond our expectations. From the moment we entered the hall at 4pm to the time we exited at 2am, absolutely everything was on point. We didn’t have to worry about anything and had all the time to enjoy the entire evening with our families and our friends.
The food prepared by La Jawab was amazing!
The bar tender was attentive and served with
a smile the entire time. DJ Sandy was a HIT! Everyone was on the dance floor the ENTIRE
night. All the staff was extremely attentive
and catered happily to all our needs.
Security guards were there the entire time
giving us peace of mind.
If I could, I would give a rating of 10 stars.

I give them 5 stars becouse I have always been satisfied with the service and ambience of this venue. The management goes and extra step to accommodate our needs every time. This is why we keep coming back. Our family and friends have used this venue for many different events such as weddings, concerts, fashion shows. Food is always good. Lots to choose from the menu. Underground parking is a always so helpful in Calgary winter. I would like to give and extra to the staff. Keep up the good work team megnolia.

Horrible experience with booking. Keeps an inexorably high amount as booking fee and does not reimburse even when events are canceled more than a year in advance. The manager is extremely rude and inconsiderate. They are absolute thieves. Avoid this place. Much better places in Calgary. Don't be fooled by cherry-picked positive reviews
