Had an excellent breakfast today. Very good service. Although it is very cold out today, it was nice to go for breakfast at Major's

Great place when you want food that tastes like it was made at home. My highlight was the Caesar salad, the croutons were crisp but you could stab them with a fork and the whole meal tasted very fresh and like my mom made it for me. It was very busy when I went and I was still happy with the service.

Definitely go there and try the Mexican omelette! Everything was perfect unless the pancakes could be better and more crispy.

Went for breakfast with my toddler. The waitress was awesome and the food felt like a good home cooked breakfast! Bacon was super thick and sooo good.

Came here for breakfast. They serve thick cut bacon, which was delish. Found the eggs Benny to be on the sweeter side and hashbrowns were undercooked.

They had an off day this visit. Normally much better than it was this time.
Whole table (3 people) orders were incorrect. And when brought to the attention of the server there was no apologies given. More over excuses were given. Not ok in my book. And we were one of 4 tables. So being swamped wasn't the case.

Just a mess today will definitely go back and hope for a different outcome.
If a second time is similar then I just won't return.

First time eating here. Kyla, our server was very friendly. Food was excellent, fast and filling! Great music too!

Homemade pies, local meats, local raised farm eggs and handmade dishes. A great mix of comfort food, Ukrainian food, Thai food and more. Staff was great, restaurant was clean and it felt like a locals best kept secret.

No flavour whatsoever.
Pork chop was dryer than wheat also no seasoning on it.
Cubed hash browns no flavour just greasy.
Do not recommend if you actually have a palate and taste buds. ****Definitely overpriced****

Very poor service, and tasteless food, took so long, waited 20 minutes just to be asked for drinks, never coming back!

The three stars are primarily for the wait staff. The cleaning and cooking crew needs some work. The cabbage rolls sauce was canned tomatoe soup I believe. Pfft, that's like when I was poor growing up and my mom used ketchup on spaghetti. Not suitable for a restaurant. The cheese on the pizza wasn't melted although the dough was great. The fries were awesome but I think they are store bought. The crab stuffed mushrooms were soggy and flavorless. All you tasted was the pizza cheese on it. Like at least use a nice cheese, one like something aged. The tea was good haha. So was the gravy. The place wasn't very clean. Especially the arcade area. The foozball table had a whole sticky puddle of something laying in it haha. It obviously rained that soccer game. I wonder how old it was! Dust everywhere and garbage hiding in corners. I wouldn't go back unless someone else paid, I was drunk or out was free. Love the wait staff though.

Absolutely lovely, had the Ukrainian dinner and loved it. Second nicest thing I've put in my mouth

This was my first time at majors family restaurant since they've moved? , or opened a new location? Not sure, but the staff were both competent and friendly. The server was on point with the coffee refills, which was much needed, and appreciated! So thank you!

I shout have just stayed at home and made something. Very mediocre food and service, no tip today.

These ladies are always on the top of their game! It not an easy job to be the best in Grande Prairie!

Tasty family restaurant with all of your general comfort foods. Nothing overwhelming but not bad either. Service was quick and friendly, bit busy at lunch. Have your ID and Vax records ready!

Everytime I travel to Grande Prairie, I make a point of stopping at Major, s. It is the best. The food is so delicious. It is the best when it comes to home style cooking. If you are in GP, give this place a try. You won't be disappointed.

Was served immediately upon sitting. Food was ok. Prices are the same as most, wouldn't want to eat out often.

Service was good. Friendly waitress. My hamburger was a preformed frozen one, because I've bought these ones before. The chicken wrap tasted n looked like coated chicken fingers in it, rather than real grilled chicken strips. Fries were good.pribably wont go back.

Of all the traditional western style restaurants, I like this one for breakfast. I've only had breakfast here.

Locally owned and operated! Always a good feeling about spending your money in this iconic Grande Prairie restaurant.
Something for everyone. They've all the classics! Roast beef or turkey dinner. Excellent gravy! Homefries! Real food! Not some frozen or reconstituted slop. Fresh made buns! Homemade pie for desert! You can even have a beer with your meal.

Food was fantastic, portion size was huge, very quiet maybe some back ground music would be good.

Friendly, efficient staff. Restaurant was clean and tidy. Food provided was fresh, hot and tasted good. Reasonably priced senior breakfast was had. Overall, very nice breakfast was served by pleasant waitress' who sincerely thanked us for our business.

Disappointed in the food quality for the price. I ordered food for dinnee, at almost $20 a plate. When I received it, it was very clear that the vegetables were generic frozen veggies that had been boiled or steamed (sliced carrots, corn, and peas). The mashed potatoes didn't taste great at all. The perogies were grocery store frozen perogies. I'm a person that likes everything and will eat anything, but I can't justify spending almost $20 per person on processed food that would take me 15 minutes to cook at home.

Excellent breakfast. Eggs Benedict! Big Truckers Breakfast plate full of pancakes, eggs, potatoes, ham! Yummy! Very clean, nice restaurant with great staff. Well done! We went for breakfast. We ordered something that we saw on someone else’s table because it looked so good. I can’t recall was it was called but it had potato’s and meat and was covered in delicious gooey yummy cheese. Was very filling. Service was good, food was a little slow coming but was hot and fresh.

We came to Grande Prairie not knowing where we would eat, then we found this place and it's just like momma's home cooking. It is AWESOME.

The sandwich was everything I had hoped for but not outstanding. Still it was better than most. Strangely the coffee came in cups that are just a little bigger than expresso cups (maybe I'm exaggerating but the coffee cups were small). However service was quick so my coffee cup wasn't empty until I wanted it to be empty.

I enjoyed my breakfast selection, from a very great and varied menu.
Majors BACON was and is set high on my standards of taste and enjoyment. Other resturants must pay attention, as very few can compete with the thickness and taste of real farmer bacon.
My meal brought back memories of home cooked breakfast as a child and of camping with family.

The only complaint I can make, is that my isolation body, is not both friendly. And that the atmosphere was lost from the original location. It STILL feels and looks like Pizza Hut.

We eat breakfast in this restaurant quite often. They have thick cut bacon which is really nice. The servers are friendly, and there are two locations in town. They also have home cut fries which are really great. It's very much like home cooked food, and they have home made pies.

The hostess did not seat me with the right way to provide me with a menu " it's just you? " is not the proper way! My money is as good as anyone else and I doubt very much men do not get asked "is it just you"!

Great breakfast joint. Locally owned, service was good and food was great. Not great price though. Breakfast should be under 15 bucks with a coffee and tip and they are 20.

Fairly nice diner style restaurant. Prices are fair for the large sized portions. My breakfast was pretty oily, but otherwise the food was good. Our server was pleasant and our service was fast. Overall it was good.

Old fashioned homemade fries, made from scratch pork chops and liver. If your looking for good service a close to home cooked meal. This is the spot, I'll be returning

Not a lot of options for vegetarians. The servers came to us at least 4 times to give them order in 10 minutes while we were having drinks and it was not even late evening. I ordered cheese burger but it did not have any cheese.

Took family to Major's while visiting Grande Prairie, and super happy with all dishes & service. Daughter said Coconut Pie is the best ever!

Such good hearty food here! Lots of different choices, but still tastes like home. I love coming here with my dad and uncles. We played a lot of crib here as well. It’s a great time.

Sometimes, though, the service is a little slow. There are no assigned tables, which is fine, but sometimes it’s hard to catch the attention of the waiters.

First time going here, loved the homestyle cooking! Wanted to finish it, but was too full. Everything is homemade I believe. Best eggs benny's I've had in a long while. Coffee top up was a little slow, but worth it as it was a very good cup of coffee. Loved the style of the restaurant, very homey. Will be coming back!

Particularly love anything made with Roast Beef and chicken rice soup.

New outside decor is interesting choice. Looks like a cinnamon bun.

I have been going to Major's for a long time. I have never had a bad meal here. My kids always eat their dinners when we eat here.

Excellent brunch buffet with prime rib, omelette/crepe/waffle station and much more. Very good price for the amount of food.

Ate here onoe time with my family and never went back. I ordered the lasagna but it did not look like lasagna, it was watery and greasy. I didn't want to eat it because it was hard and didn't look good. They made us pay for the lasagna that we didn't eat.

Friendly staff, quick service, homestyle breakfast and homemade bread second tine there and never disappointed, if you are looking for a breakfast like you parents ot grandparents used yo make this is it.

Never again was the first visit and will be the last anyone with common sense can tell they have huge service problems and the fairy ride isn't gonna last forever here. They are losing more customers than they make I watched 2 tables get up and leave. I also paid attention to empty coffee cups as I walked out. Another so called hot spot that only has a little time before the doors close.

World's smallest portions! Great place for rich dieters or people with eating disorders and too much money. On the upside, it's indoors.

We’ve been here on several occasions for breakfast and gotten good food each time! The only issue I have is with the service. It seems like a struggle to get a quality check and a coffee refill, almost every single time. We had a Filipino girl once that was amazing, but the other times it seems every server will never bring Ketchup, coffee or water refills, or take plates.
