What an amazing hotel, great service and very comfortable stay! Love the heated pool and hot tubs outside! Also went to the Stirling Lounge for dinner - awesome!

Beautiful hotel right along the Spring Creek. The pool and hot tubs are amazing! Nice walking trails around the hotel for our dog. The hotel room was very clean and the staff were very friendly. We will definitely be back!

We love an inclusive business and The Malcom is it! Our family of 5 and our doggo stayed for 2 nights, which started with a dog bed, treat, bowl, and extra poop bags for the room. We felt welcome, safe, and comfortable in the hotel, which seemed to appreciate all the good things kids and dogs bring to spaces. The view from the pool and hot tubs is spectacular, showing off the 3 sisters. My only criticism is about the workout rooms, which were split into two separate spaces: 1 space for cardio and the other for weights. The walking trails around the hotel were perfect for exploring Canmore and led us to Centennial Park, which has a great field and playground, and is a very quick 6 minutes from main street and the Old Tyme Candy Shoppe. Our room was pretty standard: clean and comfortable. We would stay here again!

The experience here was luxurious and magnificent! A bit costly but the mountain view room was extraordinary. We already rebooked!

The Malcolm exceeded our expectations! The location is great, just a few minutes walk to the Main Street; everything you might need is either a close walk or drive away. The staff are polite, helpful and professional. The beds are very comfortable! We had an amazing sleep the entire duration of our 5 night stay. Rooms are exceptionally clean and well stocked. The only thing that we would’ve liked to see is the hot tubs for adult use only (or have no kids after a certain hour) but other than that everything was fantastic.

We stayed for a week in August 2021 and I can assure you that it was one of the best if not the best hotel experience in Canada. Very clean hotel, new infrastructure, the people who work here are very friendly and nice! I can't wait to go back!

This is a wonderful hotel that is in a great location. They are only about a two minute walk to the east side of old downtown Main Street. We had a great view out our window of the mountains their restaurant was excellent both in food and service. Our room was very modern and comfortable with a nice coffee station and fridge. Like all hotel rooms all over the world everywhere they need more hooks in the bathroom but I don’t hold that against them. They had a very nice games room on the second level for guests that included Foos ball, board games, places to sit and eat and a pool table. I would definitely stay here again.

Great room. Stayed in a king suite. Had everything we needed. Staff very attentive. Perfect location with exceptional views. Hotel was quiet and relaxed. Would stay again.

For the price you would expect better in room items but everything is basic. The front desk attendant stole my Yeti water bottle. Came to check in and had my water bottle with me. Left it on the counter to while I went back to the car for my bags. Came back and water bottle was gone. Could only have been the staff as no one else was in the lobby at the time.

Disappointing customer service. I had my room booked ready to go. When checking out the site stated the room is no longer available. Which was weird as prior to checking out it stated 5 rooms left. I emailed the hotel and apparently had a promo that they shut off at 2pm today. So they saw my trying to use the promo and shut it off. Poor business practices.

If I could leave a 10-star review I would. We just had our wedding here in November in the gorgeous Edinburgh Castle Room and it could not have gone more smoothly or have been more beautiful. Everything at this hotel from the extremely kind staff, to the spotless rooms, to the amenities, to the wicked mountain views, to the food in the restaurant, to the location in town was impeccable.

A HUGE shoutout to Kate and Terri, who so kindly helped us throughout the entire wedding planning process. We planned our wedding without the help of any wedding planners/day-of planners and Kate and Terri could not have been more helpful! Interacting with them was so stress-free from start to finish and they were always so kind and helpful. They are simply just excellent at what they do. The banquet team that helped to set-up our wedding and work throughout it was fantastic as well.

We had lots of family and friends stay at the hotel for the wedding weekend and all of them could not stop raving about their experience. We will definitely be back to the Malcolm in the future and highly recommend the Malcolm if your thinking about a wedding (or just a getaway) in the Canadian Rockies!

The rooms could have a little more attention to the details for cleaning.
Rooms have been simplified with no pen or paper in it. If needed, need to ask the front desk. Coffee was nice to have in the room. Pool was nice, a comfortable temperature. Salt water hot tub and pool was a great touch. Only thing I would change is a offer to add breakfast to the room cost.

Beautiful hotel amount mountain, clean everything works, outdoor and underground parking, three beautiful outdoor hot pools, price a bit higher but it worth it, the only thing comment is the hot spoils are closed by 10: 00 which usually in most of the hotels are closed by 11 and in a few hotels they closed by 12.

The moment when you arrive to a very nice hotel booked for the hot tub to find out they close it when it’s -25 with wind chill without warning. No email nor warning on the site. Very transparent and lesson learned, won’t be back.

We went for a weekend get away, it was lovely, great service! The room had a Nespresso and we had a lovely view. Highly recommend the breakfast buffet or a la carte, both were wonderful! They are very accommodating. We plan to return to this hotel again on our next trip!

Room 224: we are here on our honeymoon, travelled a lot in much nicer hotel.
Our room is directly in front of the pool but underneath so we have no view and have all disadvantage: NOISE and we cannot open our curtains because people in the pool would see us.
It's currently 10pm and people are having a party at the pool, drinking alcool, having loud music. So much for a relaxing moment in couple.
Besides the noise from the pool, we can hear our neighboor, the wall are not heavy.
And to finish service at the front desk and restaurant was cold. We didnt feel welcome.

My husband and I had our wedding in the mountains in Canmore and had decided to stay at the Malcolm hotel. And we so happy that we did!

Our stay was everything we could have imagined and more! The room we stayed in was an absolute dream, we got the mountain view royal king room and it definitely lived up to its name. The beautiful huge balcony looking on to the pool and mountains was a perfect backdrop for photos while getting ready in the morning. The massive bathroom with rainfall shower & bathtub was perfect for relaxing before and after a long amazing day.

We also had our dinner at the Sterling Grill and it was just perfect. All the staff were so amazing, quick and so friendly!

Kate was ultimately the one who put all of this together for us and I cannot thank her enough. She really helped make our day/ weekend completely unforgettable. She was so quick to respond and fill us in with all the ever changing restrictions due to Covid. She was so accommodating when we had to postpone our wedding in May. Her professionalism and kindness was remarkable.

We will 100% be returning hopefully once every year!

Excellent hotel, location and amenities. My only complaint is that they’re not very thorough with cleaning. There was a used diaper on my balcony and the glass doors were covered in hand prints.

The Malcolm, by far, is the most beautiful, well-appointed, designed and customer driven hotel in Canmore. I have stayed many places in the Canmore area, however, my recent stay at Malcolm was ranked #1. When I emailed to book my reservation, Naomi immediately responded back to my email and answered all my questions. When I got on the phone with her to ask more questions, she was delightful, pleasant, professional, courteous and passionate about where she works. She assured me the best room, the best view and suggestions for our stay. When I reached the Malcolm, the view was splendid. The lobby was clean, spacious and cozy. COVID measures were well set up and I had no worry with space or distance. The receptionists were kind, patient and provided superb experience. I was happy to have met Naomi, who continued to deliver A+ service. I upgraded to the mountain view room which was gorgeous - a loft appeal, large balcony and a view the remember. The bathroom was spacious, clean and well designed and decorated. I rave about this hotel because they manage the small things that make a huge difference; ex: the kettle not having a spec of calcium build up. Dinner was at the Sterling Lounge which was lively, well lit and spacious. I applaud this hotel for offering Gluten Free/Celiac friendly options on their menu. Try the Espresso Martini - hands down an amazing drink. Last but not least, the outdoor hottubs, pools and fire pit were amazing. While they were busy at night (of course), everyone was well behaved and didn't feel that I was in a rowdy, sub-par hotel. I took advantage of the hot tub the next morning after my buffet breakfast in the Stirling dining room, which again, was amazing with delicious breakfast, view and service. I will, undoubtedly, be back to the Malcolm and will recommend this place to anyone - family, couples, romance, elderly or groups. They have made this a destination hotel with views to die for. Well done.

Our stay at the Malcolm hotel was absolutely fantastic. We spent 2 nights for my Birthday and I could not have asked for a better stay. The receptionist at the front desk were super helpful and made the checking in process easy. Upon entering the room we were given delicious complimentary chocolate. The room was super clean and the hotel has a fun game lounge, fitness center and pool/including hot tub that is easily accessible. I could not have asked for a better place the spend the night!

Absolutely loved this place and the staff was amazing. They went above and beyond to make sure our experience was amazing in Banff. I’ll definitely be back!

Stumbled across this 4-Star Scottish themed hotel and decided to stay the night! The front desk staff were extremely accommodating as my wife and I didn’t have a reservation. It was our 10th year wedding anniversary and they made sure we were looked after! We had no expectations of the hotel prior to pulling into the entrance and I have to admit, the hotel was a wonderful surprise on all fronts - ambiance, dining, amenities and scenery! I think this will be one of those hotels that we’ll escape to on special occasions!

What an amazing start to our vacation. Great location. We felt very safe. Within walking distance of downtown. Ate at the Stirling Grill where I had the chicken wings and French onion soup. Soup is hard to describe. I have to say the best I’ve ever had. Hardly any bread. Giant bites of melted cheese. Onions blended into a sweet taste. The wings were really different a mixture of somewhat tangy sauces not too hot but enough to tingle the taste buds.

Beautiful hotel in a beautiful location. Have gone back twice and stayed longer because we liked it and the value was decent.

Best hotel experience in the mountains. Showing its popularity, the chairs/benches in the restaurant need to be replaced but seems to be in the works. Awesome outdoor hot tubs, cozy seating on main & 2nd level games area. Best coffee shop serving Rosso beans.

Good location, well appointed and underground parking is well lit and stalls are reasonably sized. Pool was nice, though could use a scrub around the water line. Hot tubs are indeed hot. Good selection of games and a pool table.

Coffee shop is on point and the service is great. Good coffee too.

We didn't try the onsite restaurant so mo comments.

Only criticism is although the hotel is full non smoking, there is a quirky bylaw that forces hotels to place ashtrays on the rooms with a patio. This simply encourages smokers to smoke on deck. So we found ourselves calling the front desk several times as our neighbors continued to smoke, while we were trying to relax and have our supper.

Pros:

- Location is perfect, short drive to Banff but steps away from Canmore Town, so many beautiful trails around the hotel and you can even see wildlife around the hotel grounds too

- The amenities are so nice especially the outdoor heated pool, 2nd floor game lounge and they have a nice coffee place

- Friendly helpful staff

- Nice modern clean rooms

Had 1 minor issue, which is the parking is a little tight but overall worth staying here!

If you are looking for a hotel to fully experience those Canadian Rocky views then look no further! The views from our room were just spectacular! We spoiled ourselves with some breakfast in bed, which was outstanding, and would highly recommend it to anyone looking to spoil themselves for a weekend getaway.

Very clean room. We needed to ask for extra slippers and other things and they were at our door within 5 minutes every time. Great staff! The pool and hot tub was alot of fun for the entire family. We will be back for sure.

We are so pleased that we booked the Malcolm by Clique. There are not enough words to describe the amenities of this hotel. The location is amazing with wonderful views on both sides. Every staff member we have come in contact with, has GONE OVER AND ABOVE to answer any question or fulfill a request. The standard, 2 queen bed room is PERFECT! The storage is in the closet is so helpful to help us keep our items organized.
We literally booked this hotel because we thought the kids would like the pool, this hotel is SO MUCH MORE than a great pool! We are so glad we found you, we would recommend the Malcolm to anyone! BTW, pool is amazing but we can’t keep the kids away from the second floor, foosball table!:) Thank you to all at the Malcolm.

Great stay at the Malcolm on an otherwise rainy weekend!

Things we loved:
1) The check-in was quick and easy
2) Underground parking was nice and well maintained
3) Restaurant was excellent!
4) The beds were super comfortable
5) Nespresso in room was a nice touch
6) Everything was very clean
7) First-class treatment of our doggo
8) Friendly and helpful staff

Suggestions for improvement:
1) Noise - We stayed on the second floor and the noise above our room was very loud at times and definitely not sound proof.

2) TV Options - To be fair, we didn’t come to Canmore to sit around and watch TV, however, it would have been nice to be able to watch Netflix or use an HDMI cable/adaptor to watch something on a laptop. The TV’s are attached to the wall with no ability to access the back to connect anything which was a bit annoying.

Brilliant. We found this little Resaurant/bar as a refuge in the middle of a snowstorm. The staff were exceptional. Helpful knowledgeable efficient and respectful. Met other great people here too It was awesome!

It was nice area, great views facing south looking at the mountains, our patio door would not lock called reception and a worker had it fixed in a few minutes, only bad problem was we booked this hotel because of the swimming pool and hot tub we called prior to even booking to make sure and was told its first come first serve which we found a bit miss leading thinking we could go to reception in the morning and hopefully book a slot for the day, when we checkd in to the hotel at 5 and was told no available spots but we knew this would happen been so late in the day so we asked about Saturday to which we were told fully booked what about Sunday.again fully booked, needles to say we were very disappointed the hotel should change its policies so everyone has a chance to line up in the morning time to try book a spot and not just let say 10 different familys book every day and then to rub salt in the wound when we look out at the pool their is no one in it so people are booking these time slots and not even using it, but staff were super friendly i know it is not their fault for this

Our stay was perfect. I have to give The Malcolm a five outta five. Big comfy rooms, beautiful scenery, excellent service (second to none in my opinion). The Malcolm is a 10 minute walk from downtown wich is perfect. With everything that Canmore has to offer like shops, restaurants, pub's.ext.is perfect for a couple of any age. There's also beautiful walking trail around the hotel itself for an early walk.
Just downstairs you have the restaurant Stirling. The Stirling offers excellent service, food, and drinks. Dinning outside on the balcony gives you excellent view of the mountains. If you rather dine alone with yourself, or a loved one (like myself, and my wife did) you can have your food delivered to your room, and dine on your own balcony.
So yes our stay was a 5 outta 5, and will be going back for sure

First time here and it’s an absolutely stunning stay! Everything here is pristine and new, and absolutely nothing to complain about. Workers, services, facility, etc is all amazing.

Amazing! We really enjoyed our one night stay at the Malcolm. The staff were so accommodating and friendly specially Barb and Bailey. The evening pool guy was also very helpful, informative and professional. The room was sparkling clean, check in was smooth and the view was spectacular.

Loved our stay at the Malcolm. Charlie and Fred at the front desk were attentive and friendly upon check-in and they gave me a wider selection of tea when I called down. Breakfast from the Stirling was phenomenal and my kids asked for the French Toast for breakfast again the next day. Our room was spotless as was the entire hotel. It seemed there was always a hotel employee wiping down high touch areas whenever we came down to the lobby. Will 100% stay here again.

We had our wedding ceremony here last weekend. The staff followed all COVID-19 regulations and made us feel so comfortable. This is the most beautiful hotel in Canmore. It is the perfect location for wedding photos.

Only downfall was not having the hot tub open. But I can knock them for following the by laws. They were very accommodating when I asked for a different room selection.

We absolutely loved our stay here! The front desk staff were very friendly. I’m not sure of what amenities are currently available as we didn’t receive much information at check in, but it wasn’t a huge deal. The room itself was incredibly clean and beautiful. It is a 5 minute walk to shops and restaurants, so a great location. The underground parking is great and the height restriction actually allowed for our large truck to fit down there. Our only regret was assuming the hot pools were closed and leaving our swim suits at home! Overall, our stay was relaxing and quiet, we will definitely be back!

What an amazing stay this hotel is beautiful and definitely the best hotel i have stayed at in canmore. Staff is very friendly and welcoming the hotel is very clean. If I had to say one thing bad it would be the internet was kinda slow but still worked. I will definitely be back here soon again

Always love staying here! Lots of paths and trails for walks and close to town so you dont have to drive to get lunch or supper. Very clean and well kept. Staff take pride in their work and ensure your satisfied with your stay. The Striling Lounge in the hotel has amazing food and very well priced. The views from the rooms are all beautiful and there is a rooftop pool and hot tub for a nice relaxing dip. Will continue to come back here.

The front end staff where courteous, helpful and kept us in a safe position while we checked in.
The room was fabulous, the amenities where luxurious and we felt comfortable. The deck gave us a wonderful view with the mountain back drop. It was very clean and quiet place to lay back and relax. The price was very acceptable as you where staying in a 5 star hotel.

Started with a poor check in. Though I am a VIP member and normally when I stay at the hotel chain sister hotels, I receive benefits and certificates for reduced meals, none were given even though promised. The parking was full. I was told it was because they had a large group function booked. I thought we were limited to 15 people because of co-vid. I was told to park on the street and ignore the 4 hour signs, "because the hotel chain owns the road". Went upstairs to my room. Passed a games area the was having a public party with communal food set out in a large table that a large group of people was sharing. Again another risky behavior in Covid times. Hotel obviously does not care as the party went on for several hours and could be see from the front desk. On my day of check out, I asked for a late check out. Again a perk of the VIP status from my many stays at your Calgary Hotel. I was refused, I paused and asked again very politely. I was refused. I looked in the hotel corridor outside my room. I saw 9 rooms checked out already and one room attendant cleaning them. She couldn't possibly have gotten to my room for 4 hours if she was adequately cleaning and disinfecting the other rooms. I proceeded to the front desk and gave my complaint. They simply stammered, looked embarrassed and said sorry. No attempt to verify my issues or solve them. So I went back to my room and gathered my things. Went back to that same person and checked out 10 minutes later, still no explanation. As an aside, I ate 2 times at the Sterling Grill. Lunch was very mediocre. Wings were dry and way over cooked. Breakfast for two was fine but came in at 55$. Quite expensive. I have stayed at your Calgary hotel many times. Service is great and the food is good. Hotel in Canmore is in a beautiful place. But your staff here is poorly trained. I didn't feel the hotel really cared about social distancing or safety. You do not deliver on what you market. Way better choices for the money available in the Canmore area.

This is by far the nicest hotel in Canmore. The prices are high but its totally worth it. Great amenities like heated pool and hot tubs.which staff don't heckle you for having a drink in. The interior designer knocks it out of the park every season. The Stirling is also a 5 star spot. Great food and drinks and really nice staff.

Over the last 12 months we have stayed here on multiple occasions and three different sweets and every time it has been a great stay.
The rooms are great the staff are friendly and the facilities are very clean.
No matter which room we have stayed in we have always had mountain views and again love staying at this hotel.
The $230 a night fee is sometimes hard to find however on reduced rates on certain weekends is definitely a must!

Only complaint would be I came to use the outdoor pool specifically and the water was too cold. I was hoping it would heated like the fairmont banff outdoor pool where you could comfortably hang out in. Unfortunately the hot tubs are small with limited capacity so unable to get a spot in there either. Would return in the summer if anything.

Best value to quality in the banff area. Double down and get the breakfast deal and ita even more worth it. Cheif quality breakfast for 2 for $20 more a night. We booked for one night and stayed for 3 we liked it so much. Standard roo. Came was new and great, balcony with great views around, good beds, not good pillows. Soft and had to add towels to keep them fro flattening. Service was A+, pools were great but limited I persons due to covid, during the week it was empty!

Stunning hotel in the heart of Canmore. Lovely new rooms with comfy beds, a waterfall shower, fridge and nespresso machine. We had a mountain view which was well worth it. The outdoor pool and hot tubs are great and offer an incredible view of the mountains, including Ha Ling Peak. Very helpful and polite staff. Just a short 5 min walk into the downtown area of Canmore. Would definitely stay here again!

Had a great experience, the rooms are clean and the mountain views are awesome. The staff was knowledgeable and helpful including the covid precautions that will put you to ease. The staff gave us recommendations on some trails and even gave us bear spray just in case we ran into trouble.

I had my wedding here and I could not be more overjoyed with the experience. They went out of their way for everything we needed. The staff are all so kind and will go out of their way to help.
