They have a guy with attitude there who is picking fights with customers for nothing. Avoid that place if you can.

Best bottle depot in Edmonton! Very friendly and efficient staff. Cleanest bottle depot I have ever been to. Staff do a great job keeping the lines moving and are very organized. The automated machines are amazing!

I always go to this bottle depot. The staff is friendly, fast and accurate. It is a good experience every time.

I came the other day on weekend early hours and the employee did mistake in counting less bottles. The guy from inside seems to be noticing and he immediately came out and with serious note he called this lady employee to his office. We didn’t felt his attitude towards his employee to be welcoming. The lady employee looks terrified. Such a rude bossy attitude. Not coming here and encourage others to avoid this place.

Supposed to be the first automated bottle depot yet the last 5 times I’ve come they are never working

Love going to this place! As long as you follow the rules with your empties you can be in and out in minutes! Staff are so friendly and very helpful, and that is why I keep going back there.

Great service. The staff was very nice and treated me with kindness.
They were organized and move the long lines along quickly.
The employee counted my bottles correctly and with honesty.
They were busy, but the manager came up to me to apologize for being busy. She Was very nice and friendly. It’s was nice for them to come up to us and care about how our service was at the depot. I would go back for the great customer service.

This is my go to bottle depot, with the new automated bottle counter, I am confident I am not being ripped off.

If you are looking for the automated or drive through service do not come here. The automated machines are not running, and the drive through closed. We drove from the south side to use the automated machines and not
one was open. To make it even worse there is only room for 2 counters to count your bottles. Apparently your bottles need to be approved to go through the sorter bc it doesn’t accept all bottle types. I’m pretty sure most people are not coming in there with just one type of bottle so this makes no sense to me. It was quite frustrating and a waste of time as there are only 2 sorting stations open. On the plus side it is a new facility and appears to be clean, but such a waste to install so many automated sorters that you can’t even use.

We have been going there since the grand opening, staff are always pleasant and helpful. If your bottles/cans are clean and not crushed it takes no time at all in the auto counter.

This bottle depot has been my go to location since the grand opening. Great service, very clean location, and warm atmosphere. Love the automatic sorting counters and do not mind the manual sorting counters (when my bottles are dirty or crushed etc). Staff is always smiling and happy to help! I appreciate all that this bottle depot has to offer and refuse to go elsewhere. Thank you!

I usually always come to Manning to bring my load of bottles. They have the friendliest staff and very quick service!

I wish they had more space for people who need to sort through teta packs sadly the machines won't scan them

I drive a distance to come to this specific bottle depot, it's fast I just did 7 bags in 8 min.awesome! And the staff are beyond friendly. I highly recommend

Such a nice place The staff are so hard working. My wife and I really liked going there. They have such modern equipment they even showed us how it works.
So easy to find just drive by the Cabellos and turn left just before the R R tracks on your right

Do not recommend on a weekend. The place is very busy so don't expect to get out of there quickly. The staff is friendly, if you have a smaller amount of recycling they won't bother counting it though. So make sure to count your recycling in advance if you come here.

I'd advise finding a place that isn't so small and crowded, the technology is nice but it doesn't help speed things up when they are overrun with customers.

I go to this place because of the conveyor machine. They never allow you to use them. They have 3 and insist on counting them. The last time I pre-counted and they shorted me. 40
Not the biggest loss but this could be avoided by using these state of the art bottle counters.

These automated counters were a waste of money. They never use them. So tired of standing in line here. Only upside is it's cleaner than the one just off 50th street. My returns are always clean, uncrushed, sorted cans. I do this purposely to try and keep my visits fast in hopes someone will finally fire up a machine. They just end up counting all my cans by hand,

I came in with a ton of bottles not knowing the machine was broken. Our family just bags stuff which is why we come here, but they had to do it all by hand today. They were (understandably) a little backed up but were actually going through people a lot quicker than I expected, and the person who ended up doing mine was still chatty and smiling by the time I got to his station despite it still being pretty warm and humid in there to boot.

One of the best bottle depots I've been to. The automation is awesome. Keep up the good work guys.

I've been going to this Depot since it openned. They've gotVery friendly and helpful staff, a clean environment, and I haven't had to wait in line yet!

I don't normally review places as I am an easy going person. If I do have an issue I just let it go but I have to review this place today. The last time I went there the power was out and the machines were not up and running so my bottles were hand counted, this didn't bother me in the least. I went to go back today and when I pulled up the line was out the door and into the parking lot. The wait time would have been really long so I left to come back later. When I came back later there was still a line out of the door but it was only one person out the door. After waiting about 10 minutes one of the people running the automated machines came over and ripped open two of my bags and told me that they wouldn't take my stuff through the machines. This was because I had a few crushed water bottles, nobody can keep water bottles perfect every time. I would have been fine going through hand count but there was only two people doing the counting and there was two people already getting counted and people waiting in line to be counted. The wait was going to be way too long with it that way so we left. When we walked out there was a long line out the door again. I doubt we will ever go back again unless they open more hand count stations to make the wait not as long. I also want to say that I have normally had nothing but great experiences here in the past and want to give them another chance.

**Edited: I want to start with apologizing for being rude to the sorter for just doing her job. My rudeness was out of irritation that the state of my bottles had never changed but this was the first time that I was not able to go through the automated sorter. If you do open up more hand counters I would happily come back as I have always loved this place. If I do here of any people looking for a job I will happily have them send in a resume as you seem like a great place to work. I have also upped my stars to you to reflect how good I actually think your business is. **

By far the cleanest bottle depot I have ever seen. The automatic sorting of cans and bottles makes your visit extremely quick and easy too!

Would not recommend taking your bottles here as customer service and honesty are not a priority to them. Went there today with a substantial amount of bottles hoping to get in and out quickly. Unfortunately there were only 2 of the automated spots open and a lineup of people waiting so I was directed to the manual count area. When I questioned the number of glass beer bottles being counted I was told by a male who worked there to let the person do their job while the female doing the counting wheeled the cart to the back before I could count the boxes in the cart. My concern was ignored by them both as they both walked away from me.

I now question the maual count of the other cans and bottles both plastic and glass that were being counted as the female counting made sure she kept her back to us so we were not able to see the number of items in her hands.

Lesson learned, stick to a place you know as trying a new place is not always a good thing.

I definitely will not be back!

In response to your reply, while she showed me on the screen what she punched in the cart was taken to the back so I wasnot able to truly know if what was on screen was truly in the shopping chart.

Also it seems you have a reply that you cut and paste into your responses to reviews that are not in favor of your business.

Sending you my receipt is useless as it does not detail the items counted.

Like I said it's a lesson learned and I won't ever be back.

Haven't been to another bottle depot since I started coming here. I love how efficient the staff are, and they're all so darn friendly! Miss B especially always takes the time to say hello to me, which is a nice personal touch. Never had a bad experience here, and have never felt like I was being ripped off. Sure, the automation is cool, the machines are neat, but its the people that will keep me coming back here. Thanks guys!

Been coming here since the day they opened and I refuse to go anywhere else! Always very polite and they go above and beyond. Always extremely accurate and ive never had to wait longer than 5 minutes! Always very clean, doesnt have the 'bottle depot smell' 10/10 recommend.

This is the best bottle depot in Edmonton. The owner herself made me feel incredibly welcome and walked me through the process. It is clean, organized and the staff are fast and helpful.

Great bottle depot! The machines are really cool. And the best part is the customer service. There is always someone to greet and attend you as soon as you walk in. The bottle count on the machine is really fast. They also have manual station for the big stuff and glass and dirty bottles. I would definitely recommend to check it out and would love to go there often.

As far as bottle depots go, this one by far outshines the rest. The employees are absolutely fantastic, kind and sooo helpful, the building is spotless and clean. Even if it's a little far from where one lives, it's totally worth the drive to Manning Bottle Depot!

What a great place! This is a bottle depot that is high tech. Apparently the equipment is the newest on the market and is very swift at assisting the awesome staff who work through your bags of bottle/cans. Reetu, our clerk, efficiently explained the process and worked through our winter stockpile of return/deposits. The manager was very pleasant and happy to explain the stuff that happens in the background. They also occasionally offer a drive thru process. Note to self: keep 2L containers separate from “1L and less” items and don’t crush cans or milk cartons (the automated sorting system reads barcodes etc… crushing causes some problems). Visit this depot on your next run of deposit returns!

I had several bags of cans along with approx 10 boxes of glass bottles. One of the managers came out to my vehicle to assist me getting everything inside and in line. The automated bottle sorting system is fantastic, I was in and out, with money in hand, in no time at all! It's a great facility, new, clean and close to my residence.bonus!

Had lots of bottles to return and they looked busy but they a guy outside making sure people got in and kept social distance. Very fast and excellent customer service

Today was my first time going to the manning bottle depot.

It was so incredibly awesome to go there. It was also so incredibly busy. But they got through everyone super fast and the gentleman who was working the floor. Made everything run so smooth. He was all over the place helping everyone.

I will for sure be going there everytime for my bottles.

This is a newer, really hi-tech, state of the art, facility. The smaller containers are sorted automatically, but the 2L and up need to be handled by an employee. My wife said you can do it yourself, but on the day I was there, they had employees at every station. There was no line up when I got there, not when I left there was a line up out the door, which made backing out difficult.
The staff were friendly and helpful.

Fast efficient and friendly. What more do you want out of a bottle depot. With all the automation you can maintain social distancing easily.

Super friendly and always work with a smile even with masks on you can tell. Its really neat how the bottles are counted automatically by just scanning the bardcode on the container. Anything else they self count but its quick and easy and highly recommend.

I absolutely loved my bottle run today! This is my first time visiting and I was blown away. It was unexpected but I felt like a kid on a field trip! People inside are so friendly and the place was so clean. Kash, the manager, was kind enough to give me a quick tour and patiently explained how the sorting process worked.

I would never go anywhere else now from now on, I am official converted.

Oh and did I mention their bottle display, that was pretty Cool! This place is not your typical bottle depot. It’s definitely worth a trip, heck bring your kids on your next bottle run. Maybe add in a bottle or two for their wall collection.

I’m definitely bringing my kid here next time.

Great place. I didn't have my bottles and cans sorted very well and some of the cans were crushed but the staff were super friendly and didn't make a big deal out of it. In and out super quick.

They are very organized in there as compared to my other bottle depot experiences. The automated systems are pretty cool and fun to watch operate. They also have a really cool display of unique bottles inside the facility by the cash out machine. All in all a solid experience and I go to this depot when I can!

First time visit. They took time to explain system and even took me for a tour behind the line. Checkout the barcode reader that helps autosort them. Accurate system and informative team! Take 153 Ave (eastbound) and turn left at Fort Road and you'll find it.

Awesome bottle depot. New and very organized. Very neat sorting machine makes counting a breeze. Make sure to keep all your labels on and don't crush your cans/bottles for best experience. Super fast and accurate. Will return.

First time at location today. A lot of customers waiting and the team appeared overwhelmed. The lead/ supervisor stepped in and reshuffled/re organized the team into better positions to succeed. After waiting an extended period of time to have my bottles counted I was out of there in no time after the Supervisor re evaluated the demand/ staff challenges and made the adjustments. The overall process and self sorting facility was impressive but not as impressive as the leadership I seen today. Keep up the great work. I'll be back.

We decided to try the new bottle depot at Manning as we were shopping in the area, so glad we did. Such a great place! They were very friendly and explained how the whole process works. My kid even got a tour of the sorting area at the back. Very clean and super staff will have us driving the extra distance.
