I visited crossiron for shopping today Nd I visit marble slab on my friend demand I had ice cream there the customer service was very gud Nd had a lot of mixins still there was a smile on owner face must visit this location

I never saw someone gets fake reviews like the old lady does there at marble slab crossiron mall. She asks to the community people for fake five star reviews, i just witnessed. She offers free ice cream and also discount if someone agrees to put fake nicer reviews. Very bad for the trust they try to build.

Crazy rush hour service, they got the order right and worked quickly, excellent work and hustle from all employees that were working.

The owner of this business is absolutely atrocious. And she should not be in charge of running a business. She’s rude, unkind and does not carry a sense of good customer service. She started off by accusing me of leaving a sample spoon on the counter (I didn’t) I was holding my spoon in my hand. To make it worst as she was cleaning up the mess, she was talking about how immigrant come in to this country and don’t know how to clean up after themselves and then proceeded to said more negative stuff to her staff in her language. If she wasn’t selling something as simple as ice cream, her business would’ve been shut down a long time ago, because of her poor customer service skills and poor management skill.

I visited yesterday at store the owner was so polite nd treated too gud employees work also so polite with me nd enjoyed the ice cream.

Absolutely horrible place. I gave my resume once and the lady seemed nice, and we had an interview and I was hired on the spot. This was the first red flag I missed. She told me to memorize the items that go in each ice cream flavour so I spent a couple days doing so. When she asked me to recite some of them I forgot an item and she was furious. Made me sit in the food court for 2 hours to memorize them again. Then she didn’t even train me or the others properly. She was so rude I wanted to breakdown the whole time I was there. The job isn’t even hard it seems enjoyable but Tej is an absolutely horrible manager. She would say the most dirtiest things in Punjabi to the staff and customers, especially the ones that don’t understand punjabi. I had prior work experience and she kept making fun of me for looking like I knew nothing when she couldn’t even train properly. On this day, I made special cones dipped in chocolate and finished my job so I went to tell her. Then she proceeds to yell at me saying I messed up the customers orders when I was no where near the front of the store. There’s so much more that she had does and this was literally in the span of 4 hours. I never showed up to that place again. She is the most horrible manager i have ever seen and all these 1 star reviews are absolutely true. She hates students, don’t ever work here. Marble Slab Cooperate should definitely be aware of her actions.

Please be careful when ordering your ice-cream. They rip you off in pricing at the checkout.

They always give us best service and yummy ice-cream. Always Friendly.smiling and happy staff. Much better than last year. New Owner new experience.

The staff didn’t look like they wanted to help out with our order, they entirely messed up my order when I asked for rocky road, they just gave me plain boring chocolate. I asked for it in cone, but they gave it in a cup. In the end I paid 9.50$ for a small cup chocolate ice cream that I could get in a McDonald’s or Dairy Queen for half the price. They dropped my change in the end and didn’t help me pick it up. Should have checked the reviews before going here. The cup wasn’t even full too. Will not be coming back.

I have been going to this location for a few years.alway great service and the ice cream is the best. I vote for eggnog ice cream all year long.

Extremely poor service by the old lady at the counter. She keep asks for giving them fake reviews in 5 star even though we buy the ice cream from there and sit and eat at the foodcourt. She is very annoying all the time.

Poor service. Staff shows you attitude when asked for kids size ice cream. They don’t bother asking for toppings when you buy kids ice creams. Quickly put two ice creams in the cup and handed over to us. When asked napkins, lady at the till handed over 1 napkin for two ice creams.
Other marble slab locations are way better than this and can handle customers well.

Sunday 4.30 pm. 21st Aug- Very Rude Cashier. She even didn't mix topping well. When I told her, I paid you so please get me good food atleast but they didn't care about at all. The way they were serving ice cream, unbelievable. I will never go back

This place has some of the worst customer service in Calgary. Avoid at all costs, rude and not very helpful staff. I mean the reviews speak for themselves. Also what 6 month old is eating ice cream? Get a grip, and please go to some excellent local ice cream store that want your business.

Worst experience ever, the old lady she is very rude and even she doesn't care about customers satisfaction and customer service, she charged more than my bill, and also she behaved so bad with her staff, I'll never ever go there, worst worst.

I am so sorry to say but, Pathetic service and very disappointing behaviour. There was old lady who was extremly rude. We are 4 people of family are fond of marble slab. But i am sure, i will never go to the counter at crossiron mill again, at calgary alberta. I am not the kind of person to give bad reviews to anyone but the way she behaved and her gestures were very disappointing. The people like this are detariorating the image of the company and i think company should take the strict action against these kind of people. Today we are all going back without having a icecream for the first time. And in the end if you guys see on the reviews there are people sharing same rude behaviour about her.

My ice cream was melted A. F the staff are rude as hell and they counted my cone as a large instead of a regular and didn't give me back the money never going there again.

0 stars …. That lady i think she is manager there … doesn’t have any sense at all…. She don’t know how to speak with customers.customer service is 0 …. Here before but never again there are other places in the mall with cheaper ice creamer, there is a problem with the older woman that works here, she doesn’t understand children and customer service, she is obsessed with her don’t touch the glass signs and will obsessively repeat it to small
Children, if you are with kids who are not perfect little soldiers do not go here, at $12 an ice cream she should stay quiet and do her job. Rudest customer service I’ve seen in years anywhere.

Hi KAMAL KHAN I was standing behind you when you were ordering and first of all you interrupted the clean up session of employees by coming late when mall is closed, it was all Pakistani families, and second of all you didn't know how to order you didn't know anything about the sizes or flavors and started acting very disrespectful towards owner and employees, you don't even know the difference between cookies n cream and cookie dough drizzle, your writing a negative review of 14-16 year old's who know a lot more about what they are serving you, and if your order was incorrect why didn't you tell the owner right away instead you proceeded to pay for it. They are very nice and have great customer service, owner is very friendly.

Best place to have an ice cream during this hot weather. Erything is delicious. We highly recommend this place.

The staff was very accommodating, courteous and hospitable specially the manager!

It is nearly impossible to hear the staff but I understand they are trying. A lady in front of us had our order placed at the till by staff, the manager or owner is extremely rude - not only to customers but also her staff - yelling at them to hurry up. The other customer had taken our order with her finder inside the dish and the manager took it away then told us "can you pay the money" and argued about remaking the order that was already handled by someone else. We will not be back solely because of this manager.

Went there today and the manager was extremely rude and unkind. I asked for more than one piece of cookie dough (because all I got was one single piece) and she said "there's some on there", with a lot of attitude, and proceeded to put more (why make a fuss if you're going to add it anyways?) When I asked for three more toppings she rolled her eyes and you could tell she was angry (she wasn't wearing a mask).
Better yet. She was mixing my friends ice cream and asked me if I would like toppings, and I said yes but didn't specify because she was still working on the other. Then she proceeds to angrily ask me again, this time with much more attitude.
When it was time to pay I mistakenly didn't see the "No Tap" sign and tried to tap. Then this lady (who I believe is either the manager or owner) rolled her eyes and yelled, "IT SAYS NO TAP" and "INSERT YOUR CARD" "INSERT IT".
As well, she started speaking to us in punjabi (I don't understand, but my friend does) bashing some "white" customers who broke her card machine (hence the 'no tap'). The casual racism was not appreciated AT ALL.
Not to mention she treats her employees like garbage, because she was yelling at one of them even though he was correcting her mistake on a cup vs.cone.
To add more to this horrible experience, my friend asked for a size small but they gave her a regular and also charged her for a regular. There was no time to complain as they rushed us through our order and payment.

The worst customer service I have seen in a long long time. I wish I never purchased from here as our business does not seem appreciated anyways. I will not EVER be going back there. If I am at crossiron and want ice cream, I will go to another store and I recommend you do too.

Definitely zero stars… I ordered 3 small Ice creams. The lady said “is this size okay? ” as she held the medium, I said, no, small please. She said “it’s only $1.00 more for this size”, I said no, small please. And just to reiterate I said “I only want small, they are for kids”. She went and got the ice cream ready. I got to the fix-in’s part. My god I should have stopped right there. The old woman was so rude and so pushy and so angry. Two orders were cotton candy so she lumped them together. I said “those are two separate orders, can you make them separately? ” She says kids can’t tell and she’ll make them together. I said “no, I need them separate” so she angrily divides them up. She was so annoyed people were even there. Once she said “hurry up, the line is long”. I got to the till, she rang in 3 medium. I said, no I ordered 3 small, she said “those are too big for small they are medium”. I said I ordered small three times. She changed it to small. I paid. And before I got the ice cream she had a girl take them back and remove half of the ice cream and THROW IT IN THE GARBAGE! I had to stand there for 5 minutes in the busy line getting yelled at by her to move over so she could remove half of the ice cream that THEY scooped after I told them small THREE TIMES. She came back with 3 half full small cups. So half my toppings went in the trash and I paid over $20! This horrible old woman would rather throw ice cream in the trash than give it to kids? My god lady, who hurt you?

Honestly, the worst customer service I have ever experienced. This woman needs to go. The other reviews talk about her too, give them a read.

I’ve emailed the owner with no reply, but I’m pretty sure it’s this old grump woman, so trying to contact head office. We’ll see what happens….

Great place loved the experience The lady beneath me wrote a negative review towards staff and owner when they were nothing but nice and welcoming towards her and her family. She ordered three large ice creams and wasn’t paying instead was arguing with owner; being a Muslim your showing your attitude and degrading your culture by bringing down food places, if you can’t afford it don’t have so many children, some people even get one ice cream and get 7-8 cups and then you argue and get mad if they said no, have some shame! Birthing so many kids and thinking it’s marble slabs problem, this isn’t Pakistan it’s Canada, I’ve searched up your name and you’ve written something negative to every food place, Marble slab is a great place they give you mad respect and are so loving! Manager lady was so nice and welcoming, when people refuse to pay THATS when anyone would get mad, manager is so nice and loving and treats staff like family. Idk what the bottom comment is saying.

Worst experience ever. If I knew that she (believing that she is the owner? Mid aged Indian women?) would make it that terribly, never had purchased the ice cream there. It costed me $17 for two cups of single ice cream looking so trashy and she was so rude and grumpy to the customers as well. Never again.

My experience at this location was awful. To put it short, the owner or manager, was extremely rude to not only the customers but also her staff.
She was yelling and was rolling her eyes constantly and just blatantly unkind (which is a trend I am starting to see amongst these reviews).
I will never be buying from this location again. Our business did not seem wanted anyways, because we were rushed and we were treated as a nuisance with all the attitude given.
I see some good reviews so I'm assuming they purchased from this location when the manager was not present.
Overall I do not recommend coming here. If you want ice cream at the mall go to Purdy's or some other location, because the customer service here was awful.

I was behind you kelley there was a young girl she is working there.her customer service and quality of ice cream was good. We are big fan of marble slab ice cream. There was no lady working over there.and staff is so polite and humble.this is the best location of ice cream parlour in calgary. I think we need to support the work in pandemic instead of put these kind of bad review

Yesterday I went there for ice-cream for my little kid. But I forgot my wallet and the lady allowed me to get that ice cream for free. I bless all of them. I will always go there for ice cream. Location is also good.

I have always loved coming to this place. The manger is amazing! She has always been kind and more then helpful! We have been coming here for years. She was also more then accommodating today when there was some debit card issues. I highly reccomend this location!

I came here to looknfor reviews after bad experience. No dought they have bad reputation. My wife had my 3 year old daughter with her. She was waiting in line order her icecream and they never adressed her for next 20mins after 5 new coustmers they helped my wife asked how much long and the young lady was giving attitude. Very very bad experience. I use to got to different marle slabs this on was worst i expirienced.

I'm genuinely shocked at my experience here this afternoon. I've never had such a bad experience in my 40 years of life. It was my daughter's birthday so I saw a Groupon for popcorn and cotton candy. I purchased it and brought them to Crossirons. The popcorn was fine but the bag of cotton candy had what appeared to be grass and a piece of hair in it. We did not eat it yet so I went back to ask for the bag to be exchanged. The lady (I assume may be the owner) refused and yelled at me that this is how cotton candy is like. I don't think hair qualifies as an attribute to cotton candy. Likewise, I have consumed cotton candy on numerous occasions in life and never had what appeared like grass or a stray hair in it.

After trying to explain that this is not normal she still refused to exchange the bag and I was still being yelled at. My husband was astonished that they refused to exchange so he went to talk to her. She also refused and he asked to show the other two employees who worked there if they could come and verify. The lady refused to have them look and proceeded to open the bag and sort through the cotton candy (how gross) and in the process purposely dropped the piece that had the hair on it and then showed my husband the bag and said it had no hair. My husband left the two bags of cotton candy with her and walked away. Yes we are out a bit of money, we have no cotton candy for my kids but at least my kids are not ingesting gross hair. Avoid this place for sanitary reasons and they do not back the quality of their products. I've been to other Marble Slabs within Calgary and have had wonderful experiences but just avoid this location.

The owner is so rude to the customer and the staff also. I will never ever go to this shop again. I hate the store owner.

The rude old lady is the OWNER. Don’t reply to peoples negative reviews saying sorry for your experience if you’re not going to fix anything. Disgusting service. Got ice cream the other day and I don’t understand why marble slab is so expensive.

UPDATE: I reached out to the owner via email from the response they provided on this post, saying they would like to follow up and correct the issue. However, it has been over 2 weeks and still no response from the owner. It looks like they are again scamming and being dishonest.

Worst Marble Slab. The owner (older lady) very rude and very cheap with the toppings. Asked several times for more and she would not provide more. I thought there was unlimited toppings at Marble Slab. She wouldn't take the discount card and would not give napkins. She did not put in our order and just made up a number to charge us. Very unprofessional and not trustworthy. She would not let the other workers near the ice cream and insisted on doing cash and making the ice cream. Not Covid safe at all since she would go from making the ice cream to taking the money, back to making ice cream - no washing of hands or sanitizing or changing gloves in any of this.

Really good! I has thinking if I should have coconut or wild rose. I tried wild rose because it looked really good and now it's my favorite ice cream flavor (lol). It was a little expensive for a small though.

Not surprised at all after reading all below reviews. I experienced it myself. Today we went there to bought ice cream for my daughters. I am politely asking for extra spoons and napkins. The old lady rudely yelled at me and asked to say please to her. While I was actually asked for extra napkins please. She was very rude and yelled in front of my kids. This was the worst experience to take your kids to ice cream stores. I am very deeply disappointed. My kids were terrified and did not want to eat the ice cream anymore. This whole experience really traumatized both of my kids just over extra napkins? Totally not going back there anymore. If I can sue her I would! She is very disrespectful and rude. She should not be working in retails with ZERO customer service manners! Very disappointed and upset with this whole situation.

While the ice cream was good - it always is - this store doesn't offer the "kid size" half-scoop that not only saves a bit of money but is a far more appropriate portion size for smaller kids given that ice cream isn't exactly health food. But when you ask for it, which you can at other Marble Slab locations and other ice cream stores in the mall, this store pretends like they're going to give you a kid size cone, but then you get a full size portion at full price. Next time we'll go to a different location or different store and have a few bucks left over and also a more appropriately sized dessert.

Worst customer service. The mature lady she looks like Owner has very bad attitude. I was with my lil ones to order something. This fist time I went to any marble slab shop so I don’t know what products this shop offers. The lady was pushing me to order the right away. Without even me to see what they have to offer. There was another gentleman already giving the order near freezer.the owner She asked to go close to that counter and take peek on ice cream. That was clearly a breach of social distancing. She said every body is breaching rules. It was clear that she has no respect for these corona rules.

Before I wrote this review I read all the other reviews just to make sure I wasn't the in out of line.

All the reviews I read were very similar to mine so I won't reiterate my Experience.however, Recommend that you take a close hard look at the reviews don't brush them off and listen to the feedback that you're getting from your customers. After reading the other reviews they're all very similar to my experience so It's quite obvious that you're not listening.

As a patron I wanna feel good about spending My hard earned money, but after leaving their I had more regret them my failed relationships.

I Don't recommend your location and will never make another purchase there.

If you read this save yourself some time and money and go somewheres that appreciates your money.
