I bought a house that was built by MARCSON homes (MILESTONE BUILDER GROUP) - I have been trying to claim my landscaping deposit back for more than a year now and despite the approval from city they will not release the money to me.
Very poor experience with these guys - they are causing me a lot of trouble and stress as I am the second owner of the house.
Even my neighbour who is the first owner said it was a nightmare to claim his landscapping deposit back.
I bought the house without landscaping done; I got the landscaping with my own money. I was told my Milestone builder representative, Diana, that I needed to paint the front door blue and add shrub as per city code. I did that as well and the city's approval came through. However, because I am the second owner of this property, these builders have been giving me a very hard time to receive my deposit back. I have sent them the paperwork that I was told by both my and the previous owners lawyers as 'sufficient' for the builder to release money.
I expect more from a builder of this size. I will be going to the court if I do not get my money back.
