Nick is the best. I've been seeing him for years and he's done an exceptional job every single time. The shop is very well run and the staff are great. The whole team are pros. Go see them for the best cut/shave in Calgary - you'll be impressed.

They do have some of the most skillfull people working there especially my friend Marcel. I would definitely recommend it. Keep up the good guys.

I have been in the barber shop multiple times, and I always request Marcel for hair cut. He is professional, accurate and care about the customers. I highly recommend this place and Marcel.

All the staff is Friendly. Billy does such a great job on my hair! He cuts it just the way I like it. It only lasts about 15-20 minutes!

Matt is a great Barber and really knows what he's doing. Very detailed and always asks exactly how you like it. 5 stars!

I’ve been going to Danny nearly every week or two for a year and never had a bad cut. Today he dyed my hair grey and now I look like a silver fox in my 20’s. I could never complain this lot. The hot towels smell like heaven (I would imagine if it has a scent)

Recently moved away from the area, but today was driving by so stopped in. I’d forgotten how awesome this place is. Been getting cuts downtown recently. In comparison Marda Loop is way better service and quality at a better price.

I’ve been visiting MLBS for over 5 years. Billy and Jonny are the best in the business. They are always professional and I’ve never had a bad cut! They do exceptional work. Nicole is always the first and friendly smile you see when you walk in. She’s accommodating and very personable with all customers. Chantal be alright too:)

It may be down to my poor communication skills or something of the like but I don't really like the result I got. The staff were friendly and the POS system asked for a dollar amount instead of a percentage for tip which is pretty nice. But really my haircut wasn't want I wanted.

I live in the area and have gone in a few times now. Every time was exceptional service and I got in and out pretty quickly. The one time when things didn't go as well and as expected, I reached out and Nick, the owner, was so receptive to hearing my feedback and he assured me he'd look into it. How he handled my concerns was professional, prompt, and gracious. I'll def go back and continue to support this great local biz.

Been here a few times had a good experience for the most part with different barbers. A couple of the times I been here the front desk girl with the dark black hair was a bit rude didn't think much of it liked the haircuts but the last time went in the same girl working at the front desk didn't seem like she wanted to help as she was to busy flirting with one of the barbers.

Came here to get my beard cleaned up before my wedding and it exceeded all expectations.booked an online appointment so was seen right away. Always a little nervous to get my beard trimmed as I have had some very bad cuts at other shops in the past but this place is top notch. Nick gave me a 10/10 beard trim and had me looking my best for my wedding. Cannot give a strong enough recommendation to this shop and will definitely be back. Great atmosphere, friendly staff, great service and a prime cut. Prices are very competitive as well. Really nothing bad that I can say. Don't hesitate to go here! I walked in the shop on Wednesday it was my first time coming in for a haircut after reading all the good reviews made me wonder. When I walked in there was a girl at the front desk she didn’t even greet me or even say hi she was too busy on her phone idk what she was doing but it seems that she doesn’t care about the customer service so I walked up to her and said hey is there any barber available and she gave me a dirty look I don’t know what her issue was but looks like she was having a bad day. It’s understandable if someone is having a bad day but you still need to treat your customers with respect and show some care otherwise no one will be returning to your establishment especially that this was my very first visit. She replies to me what’s your name so I gave her my name and she says ok have a seat with a very rude tone made feel very unwelcomed and very uncomfortable because she kept looking at me and giving dirty looks I really don’t understand what her issue was. Is this how you guys treat your new customers? Waited there more than 20 minutes till I was able to get a haircut the guy there was okay his cut was not bad but I will not be returning to this establishment just because of that girl.

Before I moved to Marda Loop I had used multiple barbers around Calgary and was never fully happy with them. Billy is the absolute best cut I’ve had here in Calgary! Always happy with the job he does and highly recommend him.

These guys rock. I have been coming here for my last 5 or 6 cuts after leaving my last barber shop unsatisfied. I have had Danny, Nick, and Johnny so far - they have all done a great job with my tricky hair-do and beard trim. Their attention to detail has been excellent and with pretty speedy cuts each time, even though my hair normally takes barbers a long time. These guys are easy to get into and they will have my business for a long time moving forward if this quality service continues.

Oh yea would recommend. I usually go to Daniel for my haircuts.he did a very good job and even recommended different styles and trends for my next visit

And the other stylists are good as well and very professional and also had knowledge of current trends. And a great atmosphere.

Awesome barber shop. Have never had loyalty to a particular shop until I moved to Marda Loop and tried these guys. Have had haircuts from 5 or 6 different guys working in the shop and have loved all of them. Do great work cleaning up beards as well. The ability to book appointments online has been an appreciated feature since Covid, as it can get super busy with all their loyal customers coming in.

Went in this afternoon to get a haircut by Jazz, she was super friendly, kept the conversation going and did a fantastic jon. Will definitely be coming back!

Good barbershop, just don’t make the mistake of booking with ‘any barber’ when booking online otherwise will be waiting around because they don’t actually assign you a barber (basically like a walk-in).

I've been getting my cut from Danny for the last few years. He always knows how to cut my hair and if I want to change things up he always has good suggestions for me. He takes his time and does it right. I always come home with a quality cut and enjoy the banter.

Didn't do what I asked for. They have a set haircut they are good at, and that is it.

Probably my worst haircut ever. Technically decent, but not at all what I asked for. I asked for a slight trim (my hair is medium to long 2 inch side) and I said usually I use scissors because my hair is frizzy when it's short. He said clippers are easy for the job. Early on I heard a "crrrt" and he proceeded to cut it under 1cm long on the side. Danny said je can comp the haircut as I wasn't happy, but I thought he did a technically decent job, just not what I wanted. He failed to show me the back on my head after the cut was done, so it wasn't until after I got done that I saw the back was hacked in certain bits.if I would have know the back was messed up I would have never paid for the haircut.

Maybe they are good at fades, but don't go there for a decent medium length cut. If it doesn't fall within their usual cut they don't know what they are doing, or at least not in my experience.

Great experience with Billy, helped me fix a bad haircut I received a few days earlier at another barber shop that I will not mention but I will say this, the barber shop that gave me the bad haircut was a chain. Needless to say Billy fixed my hair and I am grateful. I will be back!

First time going to a barber in my life essentially, was a great experience! Johnny lined me up perfectly, super clean fade and real nice guy. Will for sure be going back whenever I need a fresh cut. Great people who work there, the receptionist is super friendly too.

I moved to Calgary not too long ago and was putting off finding a barber, but after a year of no haircuts I just had to. I booked online very easily and saw Tony K when I went in. He and the rest of the staff were kind, welcoming, and professional but also very friendly. I got the absolute best haircut of my life in one of the best atmospheres and I cannot recommend this place enough. I will absolutely be coming back here when I'm in need of another cut no questions asked.

I've struggled most of my life finding a good barber shop in Calgary. I booked an appointment with Nick, and I had the best haircut I've ever had. Great shop, great atmosphere, clean, professional. Front lady was really nice too. They made my experience so easy and everyone was super chill. Only going to this shop from now on. Great job guys!

I got my Hair done for the first time at Marda Loop Barbershop today and I’m THRILLED! It’s very seldom in this life that experiences exceed your expectations but my cut and colour done by the very charming and immensely talented Jozeph did just that. As a woman with very fine/thin hair I like barbershops as their razor skills tend to be top notch and I do get part of my head shaved but this is the first time I’ve gone to a Barber Shop for a colour and I’m blown away to say the least. My cut and colour rivals any high end hair boutique but at far less the cost. Ladies.don’t walk. RUN to see Jozeph you will not be disappointed.

I recently moved to Calgary about a month ago and was looking for a new barber/stylist. I found Marda Loop Barber Shop after a quick walk around my neighborhood. I called in and had a friendly lady (great in person as well) make my appointment with Tony K. My appointment was right on time and Tony was personable, fun, listened to my needs and gave me the best haircut I think I've ever received. I've lived all over North America and this was a great experience. The salon is clean, friendly, has all the protocols in place and is well run. As a professional business consultant, I loved the cut and the experience. I highly recommend Tony K.if you are looking for a great haircut and genuine guy. I'll be recommending you to anyone looking for a great salon and stylist.

I use to go to a salon to get my cut. They were good but inconsistent and overpriced. I know pay a third of the price and get a way better haircut! Johnny is my barber, and he's does a perfect job everytime! The shop has a great atmosphere and everyone is super friendly.

I have been coming to the Marda Loop barber shop for about a year and a half now, and can say it is one of the best I have ever been to. Johnny was the first barber to cut my hair in this shop, and I haven't went to anybody else since then (although I would trust anyone working out of this shop). He is talented, professional, and has a great personality. I now recommend this barber shop to all my friends and anyone who is looking for an amazing cut for a great price!

Tried for the first time today! Very kind polite front staff, within 3 mins of sitting down I was getting my hair done, I showed my barber (Billy) a picture of a style I wanted, and he absolutely nailed it, his work is great and ill be coming back for Billy's cuts for now on. I also grabbed some shampoo and styling paste, both of which are great quality and smell fantastic and were cheaper then the prices I was just looking at on amazon. Couldn't be happier leaving this fine establishment today! Cheers yall
