Horrible. Their beer isn’t good enough to make it for the WORST service. Go anywhere else. Booooo

I wouldn’t want to go back stop blaming me because you don’t know how to manage a crowd. I didn’t do anything you accused me of and blamed me for your mismanagement. Shame on you.

The other reviews clearly show that. Don’t waste your money on this garbage establishment.

Well this was my first and last time here. My husband and I were there to see our friend in the band play. More friends were joining us after they left a lawn games tournament nearby.

We sat down on the covered patio. Only to be totally uncomfortable and irritated with multiple dogs just barking non stop. It was so loud and echoed under the patio you couldn’t even hold a conversation. We ended up moving asap. Not one of the dog owners addressed their dogs in any meaningful way to stop them from barking. The waitress seemed so annoyed and flustered about it as well shaking her head every time the dogs went off.

We got drinks and ordered food. Our friends arrived shortly. Excited as they just came in second in this tournament they played. Bailey (from the previous review) was NOT INTOXICATED but excited and pumped from her day and was also with 4 others. Drink orders were taken. 5mins later the waitress comes back and says one of her coworkers that is working the beer gardens told them anyone coming from this tournament should not be served. Bailey and the others she walked in with calmly talk to the waitress and said that seems a little ridiculous. I’m happy to have some water and food but we’re here for the band. The waitress said she would get them some water and wait a few minutes. Then slowly the rest of our 20 person party trickled in. They all ordered drinks and food from a different waitress. There didn’t seem to be a problem. However, 25 minutes went by and they were completely ignored. Didn’t get any drinks. Our friends were hungry and not all of them came from or played in the tournaments at all just a few. So they were cut off before they even walked in the door and were never told why. Most of them got up and left and two minutes later they delivered food to these people that just left. How any bar or restaurant would ever expect customers to sit around for over 25 minutes after giving an order to learn that they are cut off before they even walked in, Ignored the whole time is ridiculous.

We are all adults and actually most of our group has been in the service industry for a very long time. I even went to the server and said listen I understand your position is really awkward and it’s hard but I think you need to assess these people individually instead of treating them like a whole group from the word of somebody who isn’t even here. She didn’t seem to understand or feel comfortable even talking about it she couldn’t handle conflict. Even though there wasn’t a conflict and no one was being rude or aggressive. We just wanted to be able to have a good time get some food and some drinks at a bar and watch the band.

We then said listen we’re leaving. We will not be paying for the 3 plates of food you dropped off for people that left after being ignored for 25mins.

They said you’re kicked out. We said we’re leaving already. Doesn’t really matter. 2 other waitresses tried getting involved witch just escalated the annoyance we all had. But we were leaving anyway.

We went up the street to another bar, had food drinks and a great rest of our night. We even asked the waitress has anyone been a problem? Was there any issue when we walked in did you feel like anyone was intoxicated to the point of not being able to be served? She said absolutely not. You guys have been great and that we just made her night with her cash out and tips.

So Marta Loop brewing you lost out on a couple thousand dollars worth of sales and people who really do know how to tip. I hope you’ve learned a lesson cutting people off before they even walk in the door and generalizing an entire group of people before, actually personally assessing them is wrong. You should also find a lesson in this and how to properly communicate with your customers and train your waitresses to be able to handle conflict management.

Very disappointed with this place. During the heat of Covid once it re opened I always was sure to come and support as it was a small business in my area.

I arrived around 6pm on the Saturday with some friends to watch the band play. I wasn’t acknowledged or helped until I finally stopped a server and asked to order a beverage. She mentioned she couldn’t serve me as I was at some games (which I never attended). I was quite upset I didn’t even get asked before being labelled and judged for something. I was eventually able to get a drink but at that moment the rest of our 20 person party was asked to leave.
I asked tables around us if they thought we had been “loud and disruptive” and they all had the same answer as “no. When I asked why I personally had been asked to leave I was told the "cheering for the band"was too loud and disruptive to the surroundings". I paid my tab immediately and left and was going to leave it at that.

I would also like to mention after also bringing this up to the people who ran the said games tournament — this brewery was the sponsored brand of beer being served. Maybe you shouldn’t promote your beer off sight if you don’t want people to come to your establishment after to try and enjoy it.

I generally don’t give bad reviews… i just don’t go back. But this place was awful. Bad food. Bad service. Charged me for hot sauce… something generally offered for free. I wont be back. Not sure how they get any good reviews.

I love coming here for their trivia nights on Tuesdays! They're very fun and i look forward to going to more

Local place, good to hang out in, have a drink, grab a bite, love the trivia nights, so much fun, I love the atmosphere.

Not many vegan options. After waiting 30 mins to order food, I had to get up and ask someone to take our order. I think we may have been a table during a waiter switch. I did enjoy the heated area.

Hands down, some of the best wings I've had here in Calgary. Crispy yet juicy. Seasoned impeccably well without being overly salty. Service was great despite being quite busy. Highly recommended!

Beautiful and cozy restaurant place with outside heaters to keep customers warm while enjoying a meal.

I picked up the Passchendaele Ale for a camping trip in late August and opening one of the cans to my surprise, it erupted all over me. Tried a second can on a different day, same experience. Finally back in town today, I went over to the brewery and they checked the product and apparently the vendor I purchased it from had it on their shelf for almost a year and it had second fermented in the can. That is what happens when you have a good, real and natural beer, that sometimes happens. They replaced the product immediately and while I was there I picked up more, fresh beer this time.

The folks at the brewery were great, they replaced it no problem and I happen to like their beer so I will continue to buy it. I can recommend their products and their service.

Found this location average. The beer glasses definitely did not seem to be pint size and I can’t believe there’s no coffee to have with desert.

Staff were friendly and I like the dog friendly patio.

Not sure I’ll be back but feel free to try out the location.

Had lunch with my sister and brother-in-law. 5 people in restaurant/patio when we arrived at 1: 00. Placed our order - took 38 minutes for the food to arrive, when it did it was cold and mine was dried out and cold; the order was incorrect, there was no cutlery, napkins, spoons, or side plates delivered until the cold food was and then we had to ask. Not a good experience at all. To their credit, they discounted the bill, but this is probably the last time I will try this place as it was no better a couple of years ago. Maybe a beer on the deck, but not food. And the wait staff are desperately in need of training - I shouldn’t have to hunt down cutlery after watching them chat for 38 minutes.

A splendid place to be! Cozy, beautifully laid out, excellent beer, supa dupa food (best fish n'chips in Calgary) and simply wonderful people. We are going back.soon!

This brewery is located in a residential neighbourhood and they have no regard for their neighbour’s. The extended patio should be taken away and not allowed in a quite area where people are yelling until 1130pm on a Wednesday. Would not recommend due to their disregard for keeping things civil.

Beers are decent.some of the food is great, some is average but what gets me every time is the brutal service. There is one lad in particular who looks in pain if he has to serve us. It’s our local but we’ve actually stopped going because considering the food is priced on the high side, I’m tired of being served by someone who looks like he’d rather be anywhere else. I get it, it’s not the most fun but like expecting a tip when you’ve basically thrown the drinks at us is just not on.

I'm so glad we decided to give this place a try. Good service and the food exceeded my expectations. I would come back for the amazing chicken tacos. The patio is dog friendly too.

A couple blocks away from the chaos is this little hidden gem. Good food, great beer, a warm atmosphere. Great place to host an event.

Food average. Beer ok. Server would not turn the very loud music down. We asked for medical reasons. He said NO That rablw likes it loud that table left 5 mins later. Inconsiderate server. We won't be back

Such a great place to hang out and relax. Wonderful, fun staff and decent beer. Delaney is a delight, as well as the rest of the staff!

Love this place, staff are great. Currently enjoying the patio but the decor inside is fabulous too.

Really enjoyed this spot. Great outdoor patio with good service. Tried a flight of beer, all very solid but nothing outstanding. We also had the street car fries which were good and a salad.

Went for lunch after many times of stopping by just for drinks - we should've done it way sooner! We shared salt & pepper wings and fish & chips with poutine. Both were excellent. Many of the individual wings were quite small, only 2-3 of them were "large" pieces, but the serving size was still quite good overall and they were cooked perfectly, super crispy and still juicy inside, with great flavor. Fish batter was much thinner than some, which was really nice, and fish was very well cooked. Fries were really good, and the turkey gravy was delicious, it's hard to find good gravy!

Beer selection obviously was excellent, and great service too. Will definitely be back to eat again!

IT IS AN AWESOME HOT SPOT IN MARDA LOOP. WE ARE MOVING TO THE COMMUNITY IN THE COMING MONTHS AND IM SO EXCITED TO BE HAVING MORE BEER AT MARDA LOOP BREWING, ALSO THIS PLACE HAS GREATEST FRIES OF ALL TIME. MARDA LOOP BREWING IS A FIVE STAR AS WELL A 10 out of 10!

Great beers, great prices, cool look with a patio, serving great fries with tasty dips. Hopefully a fuller menu soon.
Rtn visit to try the expanded menu. Still GREAT BEERS. Super dog friendly patio, freah water provided at each table when you arrive and treat for well behaved dogs! Tried the burger, bun was not a great soft brioche more of a safeway seasame seed, patty an off the shelf look and taste. Still great fries. Burger game could be upped, glamorgan bakery bun, alpine deli patty.just suggesting. Local shops just down the street, gotta love local especially the beer.

Beers are pretty darn tasty! Location is great with a quiet patio off the Main Street. Haven’t tried the food yet but it looks good. Service could be a bit more organized. Dogs are allowed on the patio which is great

Enjoyed the beer and the food was good too. Good service, and will definitely return. The patio is awesome, they allow dogs on the patio and I noticed they had dog treats for the puppers.

Waiting to be seated at the patio for 40 min already, while looking at 8 open cleaned tables been told it's going to be 25 min.

This is a really nice place to try different beers. Family friendly and the flavor of wings the waitress suggested were delicious!

Came here yesterday after a long day of hiking and chose this place as i had my dog with me and didn't want to go home first. Its great that your dog on the patio.

The menu is nothing to write home about, no burgers or sandwiches other than a smoked meat sandwich which you have to build you also don't get a side.

Server took forever to come and take our food order, we actually had to flag her down. Was a little frustrating as we were starving.

The place itself is cute

MLBC was able to accommodate our family and friends. It was a cold evening, and we had kids that were fussy. The servers were amazing, and very accommodating. Food was great, beer was great, it felt like a day with friends before covid. Thanks for the great service MLB!

Great beer, service was super friendly but a bit slow but they were busy? Picnic tables on patio are not comfortable for more than 4. Always be back! Go for the cherry beer or the stout, both winners!

Great pub/brewery in our hood! Happy to have something like this so close to home.

Mardaloop is a great community, the food and beer here are phenomenal and the atmosphere is out of this world.

We sat on the huge patio. It started to rain but we were under umbrellas so we were perfectly comfortable. A server even checked on us while using a cardboard box as an umbrella! Ha ha ha The beer was great and the food was fantastic! Our servers were amazing and they looked like they were having fun. One was even wearing a bright Hawaiian shirt! Ha ha ha It's nice to see a staff have fun while they work. Great spot in the Loop!

Great place for a nice selection of tasty beers, along with pleasant staff.

I especially appreciate their efforts in regards to social spacing and hygiene.

The service is great and the location is fantastic as a terminus to a long walk. Great patio and a warm atmosphere. Loved my two times so far!

Cauliflower was amazing. Service wasn't good. Took them awhile to bring drinks and I asked for water twice, again each server took forever until we were pretty much done and ready to leave. I ordered wings and they weren't saucy like our friend who also ordered wings. Especially since everyone was seated outside, didn't make sense of how long it took for them to bring simple drinks.

Amazing food, great brew (had the Casablanca Blonde), fantastic staff! Very friendly environment.

I wish I could talk about my experience with the beer or the food but I didn't get the chance. Me and my partner were sat down immediately. We continued to sit for over 15 minutes waiting for a server. They have on their sign that service will be slow which is understandable. This is a weird time! However, the last straw was when 2 people were sat down and brought beers within 1 minute of sitting! Yet no one had even come to bring us water. It was really disappointing as I've had enjoyed their beer the few times I had it before. I wished one of the 3 employees who were working outside on the patio would have come and talked to us instead of standing around at the entrance conversing with eachother.

Good place to go and bring your pups while you have a cold beer. Staff is great, wings were a bit on the salty side and fries were ok not sure if the oil was dirty when it was cooked.

Forgot to bring the food. Twice. Didn't forget to put it on the bill though. Grapefruit was good. Service was possibly the worst I've ever had. July 6, around 17: 00.

After Chiro, we always stop in for a beer and a snack. The best service and you can bring your fur ball ‍?

We came on a Saturday afternoon. They were really busy. We loved everything there, beer, food, the patio. And the service was great too. It was totally worth the wait.

Really really disappointed we were quite excited to try this place the IPA was just ok the sour cherry cider was horrible. Also both very expensive for the size. The food the fries and the dips were actually quite nice but expensive for the portion. The grilled cheese sandwich $9.50 was two pieces of brown bread with like marble cheese in it not the exciting sandwich on the menu it was really disappointing (the spicy ketchup on the side however was nice) the ladies working there were nice girls super slow to greet and then slow for first order but it’s a new world due to covid so not too bothered about that. We won’t be back here other breweries much much better.

Favourite neighborhood pub in Marda loop. So far the only brewery that has made a beer that appeals to my partner, the grapefruit Jenkins ale. Great service when we could go inside and still great service doing pickup too. I'm looking forward to being able to have seated service again and the opportunity to support this nice local brewery.

After a bad experience, Marda Loop reached out and really made things right. My first visit didn't go very well but the customer service they put forward shows they truly care about every patron that comes through the door. Our server Maddie was above and beyond great. You can tell she truly enjoys what she does and wants to make sure all customers leave happy. The cauliflower bites were delicious! Sticky, sweet and perfectly cooked. The fries we had on our first visit were easily some of the best fries I had ever had. The beer is decent, the taproom itself is quite nice and they have some good daily features. I would come back to try their wings as they are known to have some of the best in the city.

Great local spot. Friendly staff and environment, often families (and even babies) hanging out! Great food, great beer. Lots of beer options for hop-lover and hop-haters alike!

This place is amazing, great selection of craft beers, and the food is amazing. The French fries with spicy ketchup and hot wings is the usual go to. Or the chicken tacos, really anything on the menu is great. They also have tokens you get when you spend a certain amount that you can use to donate to 3 local charities. Amazing place.

A great addition to Marda Loop. The Marda Loop Brewery recently celebrated its first anniversary. The fifty seat brew pub continues to be a favorite among people living in the surrounding area. They serve a nice variety of signature brews and have a rotating group of special brews. The food menu is limited, but interesting and sure to please.

Okay this place is awesome. It features a really good service in a very cozy environment. It seems to be geared towards more human interaction than just watching TV. If I lived in Marda loop, I'll be here more often.

We had a large group and place was packed. Tried their Blond, stout, & IPA. Stout a bit thin but rest reasonably good. Wait staff alert and kept up with big beer demand. No backs on chairs so winter coats all over the place. Space was tight.

Have you been looking for the modern, upscale version of your neighborhood pub, and you live in Marda Loop then this is the place for you! No matter if you are stopping by for a quick snack or to pick up some beer to drink while watching Brady and the Pats win again they got you covered. For a pub it is very family friendly and there always seems to be a pupper outside. A relatively simple menu done well with high quality ingredients.

A true Gem in Marda Loop! Fantastic food, great service and the beer was delicious. Dog & child friendly. Stunning interior decor and a roomy patio with heaters and blankets to sip pints with your pals & furry friends. Highly recommend!

Great little microbrewery tucked away nicely a few blocks off the main strip. Staff is very friendly and helpful as are the customers. Beer is best drank fresh and as they only make 5 hecoliter batches the beer turns over quickly. An addition to the creative beers there is a small menu of snacks that are made in house that compliment the liquid libations.
Pro tip: SoCal Citrus Ale and the house made onion rings are a perfect way to unwind on the patio here.

So nice to have a brewery walking distance from my house. The grapefruit beer is one of the best I've ever tried. Friendly staff and dogs allowed on the patio make this a great spot to stop for delicious beer and tasty snacks!

Terrific brewery with delicious choices for eats. Salt and pepper wings were best I've had in a long time.

The menu here is thin and there is not a whole lot of atmosphere here. When it comes to the beer the have a fair number but it's either tasteless or extremely hoppy.overalk not impressed and probably not going back.
