I would give this place 5 stars if it wasn't so difficult to get assistance. Took almost 30 min. To find someone who wasn't working the crash register to help us locate a pair of boots.
I wanted to buy some work boots but the area was blocked off by unshelved stock and ladders on one side and other customers trying on footwear on the other. I browsed the store for 15 minutes and it was still the same situation when I returned. The nearby staff was too busy chatting with a visiting former employee (overheard) to notice anything was amiss. I eventually left empty-handed.
Just 3 stars as staff have always been helpful. Issue is the quality of the clothing has gone down the last few years. Its getting common for a button to fall off or the edges of a shirt to start fraying within the first couple months of buying it.
I struggle to understand how this place stays open. They rarely have stock of items (at least the ones I was looking for), the staff is hard to find to ask for help.
Staff at this store is utterly incompetent. Huge lineup at the tills because they apparently can’t do simple transactions. Refused to let me use my app to redeem Triangle points / CT Money claiming they need a physical card (which I don’t have). Went straight to the Marks in Capilano and used the app. They said no such rule.
Utterly useless and incompetent and wasted my time. Will never shop here again.
Shopping at Marks has to be for specific items, Its too expensive to buy multiple things at once. But overall they have good quality products and a wide selection.
