Matador Pizza

Steak was average at best. Service was above average. The tiger prawns were more like a house cat not big like a tiger.

I live nearby for two years. This is the first time (Dec 24) I brought my family (3 kids) here. Might e, it was a bit earlier (12: 30pm), there were not many customers and only one server. However, the server was super good. She is so energetic, smiley and gives a mood of happiness, which is particularly important for a Merry Christmas. I initially hoped for a Christmas meal for family and ready to spend a lot out of my pocket. Amazingly, the menu price is economical. I have ordered two kids meal, the serve size were more than my kids can consume. I liked the pizza most, much better than the other chain store. The soup along with the set is also fantastic. I will definitely go again. How come I miss this restaurant. I believe this one shoud be well known by neighborhood for more than forty years.

I came here today with a friend and I must say while the food and atmosphere were good, the service was slow slow slow. It seemed like we were forgotten about and the other table after us seemed to get their food right away. I think this place has potiential of good things but change the speed of service. Not too sure if I will return.

Came here for lunch Oct 17 2023, had the hot roast beef sandwich with fries and gravy. I've got to say, the roast beef was super juicy and really just melted in my mouth. Normally when I get roast beef I wonder if I'm going to have to soak it in gravy. But this roast beef was so juicy I ended up saving the gravy for the fries. I did dip a few bites of the roast beef and that was really good too. My server Rhonda was wonderful as well, watching the staff interact with the regulars was heart warming and really just made the restaurant feel very homey. I will definitely be back.

I had the pleasure of working here as a young adult. Great place to work with lots of opportunity to learn a variety of life skills from customer service, to cooking and cleaning as well as team work.

I continue to visit Matadors frequently due to it's awesome food and great service.

Owners take pride in their establish and it shows. Highly recommend.

Tried out Matador after finding out they had a gluten free crust option. Very happy with the results and one of the best gf crusts I’ve tried. Although the pizza did not heat up well, it was delicious hot.

We got chicken, feta, olives and spinach on one. Pepperoni, mushrooms and green peppers on the other. Both with light sauce.

Old school steak and pizza restaurant. Their pizza is one of the best in the city if you prefer a pizza thick, loaded with toppings and cheese. Steaks are okay, but nothing special.

While the food is ok, the service is terrible. Ordered delivery, only half of my order showed up. No big deal, things happen, so I call to get the rest of my order sent over and after I explain the situation, the girl on the phone tells me they’re really busy so they’ll have to call me back later. I said that I wanted my food sent asap not later and she assured me a manager would call back very soon.

90 minutes later a manager calls me back. When I told her that waiting 90 minutes to find out why my food never showed up is unacceptable she simply said “sorry we’re busy”. I told her it was too late to resolve the issue.

Brutal customer service. Won’t order from here again after this experience.

Whoever was driving the company truck nearly ran me off the road, flipped me off while I was trying to merge and nearly caused a major road accident as a result. Would not reccomend supporting this business based on the disrespect shown by this individual. If you're going to be unkind to someone, perhaps don't do it in the company car.

We just found this restaurant and had a great meal. Food was excellent, our staff were so kind and friendly. Check this place out, you won't be disappointed

Was really sad to have selected matador for my birthday meal this year. The quality appears to have gone way down over the last few months. The chicken they used on their pizza was revolting, I had to throw the pizza out.

Great local restaurant! Great food selection! Great portion sizes. Pizza is my kids go to pick. I like the lasagna. Would come back any time.

Amazing loaded pizza. They don't skimp on the toppings. This is the place if you're having a craving for dense, heavy pizza.

I ordered through skip and knew my zucchini sticks would be soggy from sitting in a container. So I requested that they be undercooked so I could re-fry them in the air fryer and not be too overcooked. The kitchen people did not disappoint! And that dill sauce, oh my goodness!

I spent over a hundred dollars on take out and all I got for my money was three days worth of food poisoning. Thanks for nothing.

Always the best pizza in town. So great. Their garden salad w/ house dressing is a killer too. Always cold and crisp. Super good.

The best pizza you will ever sink your teeth into! Steaks are delicious and served loaded up with sides and draft beers are served in frosted mugs. Dining in or taking out you really cannot go wrong with matador pizza.

We order from Matador’s often. They are always consistent with food quality and easy to order from.
Recently we ordered off Skip and received the wrong order. Apparently skip is now allowing drivers to deliver multiple orders. This particular driver messed up every order on his route. Instead of just punching in a bad review on skip and taking a refund we decided to call the restaurant. They were awesome! They remade the order and an employee delivered it. They even added two desserts for our inconvenience. There isn’t a way to blame skip or the driver so I am posting this review, hoping that others will support. We’ve decided to order directly from the restaurant and pick it up ourselves from now on.

Favourite menu items: Greek salad, pepperoni pizza, lasagna, salmon add on, zucchini sticks.

Haven’t tried the desserts yet but am excited for tiramisu!

Great Family Night on Mondays. Wings were great and Lasagna was amazing. In fact they have great specials on every day of the week.

Best Pizza in Calgary bar none. Lots of toppings and cheese. Delicious. Excellent customer service too!

Bacon pepperoni pizza I was disappointed. However, the vegetarian and the feta cheese, spinach and chicken was excellent.

Wonderful food, amazing staff. Friendly inviting and comfortable. Quick and attentive. All around a great place to relax have a beer and enjoy an evening.

Bit pricey but otherwise a great experience. Pretty lovely establishment. I am all for plastic straws in drink glasses so you don’t get the liquid all over your face, and they still had plastic straws! The paper ones just don’t feel the same. Very quick service in terms of the mozzarella sticks. They were quite good too, went down easy and had a decent cheese pull. Cheesy pizza nice and filling. The waitress even showed us exactly what 8 inches looked like before we ordered.
