This was the absolute best dentist experience I’ve ever had in my entire life. From the booking of my appointment, the staff members, the professional advice and outstanding immaculate work that was completed on my teeth is out of this world. The hygienist Selena and Cass along with Dr Kerbrat and Blythe were absolutely amazing. They answered all my questions and believe me I had money. They were patient and well informed. They offered multiple solutions and we’re very compassionate and empathetic which is a very rare find these days. These individuals our one of a kind and from the heart. They made my dental experience one that I will always cherish and Will never have me dreading another doctors visit again. For this, I thank you.

Valerie was awesome and thorough with my cleaning. She took her time in areas I had sensitivity and was very pleasant to talk with. She took her time with our son as well to slowly give him a more positive experience as he is not a fan of dental offices. The front desk staff were smiling, welcoming and nice. I would recommend other people to use this clinic.

Even 150$ to transfer previous Xray from other dental place!? Never happened for pass 20yrs dental experience.
I have dental coverage, I ask them to check what is cover or not but they kept saying no time to estimate confirming from my benefit company.

Never in a million years did I EVER think I would enjoy going to have my teeth cleaned! Well… how times change. I was told I’d have to have 2 molars pulled (not by Maxell Dental!) … I talked to their hygenist Val Noel and Val came up with a plan of attack. I still have the molars and my mouth has never felt this great in 10 years! Terrified of the dentist office… try Val! You will NEVER go anywhere else. Thanks for reading.

I had been into Maxwell Dental previously several fillings and extractions. I was always very pleased with the work of Dr. Rodriguez and felt very reassured.

I spent a fair amount of time with Dr. Greff on my past few visits as he patiently & extensively answered many of my questions regarding implant surgery. All his answers were very clear & informative, and addressed any concerns I had.

Today I went in for implant surgery performed by Dr. Greff. This was my first time having any procedures done by him.
From beginning to end, Dr Greff spoke to me and treated me like a brother. Very reassuring and completely transparent. The surgery went without complication and was over quicker than I expected.

I hadn't seen a dentist for about 20 years previous to coming in Maxwell Dental. Everything they have done for me has been successful. If anyone is looking to to have world-class dentistry performed at more than reasonable costs, I would implore them to immediately contact the team at Maxwell Dental.

I fully enjoy interacting with the friendly receptionists and staff. They are communicative regarding my holistic home practices which pairs well with their methodology.

I would not deem them a full holistic dental clinic. There are a number of practices and procedures they offer which do not fall under holistic dentistry. If you want 100% holistic treatments, do your own research first before choosing. However, they do respect my holistic decisions (offer holistic choices) and are not pushy which I appreciate.

When I was faced with a choice, one staff saw that I was having a difficult time deciding. She suggested that I take my time and it didn't need to be today. I'm very glad that she said that as it gave me time to do my research at home and come to an informed decision. If it wouldn't have been for her, I would have most likely chosen something within that minute that I didnt agree with.

I still struggle with trusting dental clinics, but I appreciate their honesty. I came from another calgary dental clinic to maxwell searching for a second opinion. Turns out, my last clinic gave me a conservative view of my x-rays. When maxwell viewed my scans, they explained that there were almost double the cavities present than what the last clinic stated. It was a hard pill to swallow, but the clear cut, truthful facts were best for my health and evidently seen in the photos.

So they never answer the phones. Like, ever. I have been trying to get in contact with them for 2 months and no calls have been returned, no emails returned and no answer when I call.

I went in on a Thursday to have a tooth looked at, when leaving I had to make an appointment to have the actual work completed.

The girl at the front desk told me she is unable to book me and the one person who can book me will contact me the next day.

The next day (Friday) the one girl who can do the bookings texted me. After 5 hours of texting back and fourth nothing was booked. It was very confusing, talking about getting additional stuff done that wasn’t discussed in my initial visit, booking at alternate locations, trying to divide my simple appointment into multiple appointments etc.the last text she sent was she was looking into the schedule…

That was Friday at 2: 40PM. Herd nothing back that day and they were closed on the weekend.

Very unprofessional and disrespectful to leave a customer hanging like that over the weekend. Especially when a full day of confusing misunderstood texts could have been easily clarified in a simple 5 minute phone call.

Needless to say I took my business elsewhere as they didn’t know how to book me in.

Perhaps for future clients you should have more than one person at the front desk who is able to book clients in. Anyone working at the front should have the ability to do this. And when reaching out to clients, it is much faster and easier to just call instead of text.

I don’t understand why they have such a high rating. Costs so much more than other holistic dentists, unhelpful reception staff.

The staff is always friendly. There is never any pressure to get their suggested work done. It’s clean and tidy.

I know they have an amazing rating, but don’t be fooled. I believe they are overcharging everything and it all adds up to a lot more than you think it will. Unbelievably expensive compared to all other dentists I’ve ever seen. Not worth it.

We moved our family dental services to Maxwell Dental (NW) after our dentist moved out of country from Endearing Smiles a couple years ago. We have yet to be disappointed!

I LOVE how great & patient they are with our son (6yrs), love their holistic approach & also their up front HONESTY when it comes to costs of various procedures that may not be covered by AB health or our insurance plan.

Claims to be a dental clinic with a holistic approach, which isn't true. I felt dismissed by different employes. They charge more money than other clinics for same services. Also, their medical recommendations could have been dangerous for my health. I am very happy I left this clinic.

The best place to go for all your dental needs! The prices are according to the Alberta Dental Fee guidelines and the staff are so friendly and professional. They always make sure whatever service I am getting is covered by my insurance and give me the best dental advice. My teeth have never looked better!

STAY AWAY. Oh em ghee There are no words. Charges way too much and does not even do complete holistic dentistry. Definitely a sham. Save your money and frustration. And on top of it all front desk staff are rude, rude, rude.

I have been so disappointed by Maxwell Dental.

I deeply appreciate their holistic approach to dentistry and the way that their values around health align with my own. However, there is an ongoing frustration of constantly being billed for procedures and costs not covered by insurance and being surprised by these costs as they aren’t mentioned prior to treatment. This often adds a level of stress and anxiety to my dental experience.

The attitude I have often encountered from the staff is that "it's not a big deal". There is a lack of understanding that for many people, unexpected costs, no matter the amount, are a very big deal indeed.

In November I took the time to reach out to the management team at Maxwell and express my thoughts and invited them to consider what a truly consent-based practice would look like. One where all the information was offered - the procedure, the cost, and the fact that insurance would likely not cover it. As a client I would then feel empowered to make the best decision for my body, as well as my mental health (which is directly impacted by finances).

Not only did they not respond, in December they billed my credit card for another procedure fee I did not consent to.

I had stayed with them because Dr. Rodriguez was so wonderful. But she has left the practice, so there is no reason to stay and be treated with so little respect.

Bottom line – take your business elsewhere.

Friendly and courteous. Professional from the front end to the dentists/hygienists work. Well priced. No complaints. Would absolutely recommend. I bring all 4 of my kids here as well.

Holly was my hygienist and was very gentle and respectful regarding sensitive teeth. My visit was a comfortable experience. Most dental offices try to push more dental work at me every time I get a cleaning, but this is not the case at Maxwell Dental. Dr Gref explains what dental work he thinks needs to be done but leaves it up to me to decide what I want done, which I really appreciate.

Great team/experience at Maxwell Dental! They kept things simple, helped me make a reasonable plan of attack, and were very helpful in addressing any concerns I had. Friendly, efficient and accommodating!

I was scared for this appointment as I have a phobia of needles and the staff reassured me I would be fine and administered nitrous to help take the edge off. They were so comforting and quick and made me feel okay throughout the procedure. Before we started I was having thoughts of not doing the procedure because of my fears and they helped me through those fears. I’m glad I had the procedure done and thankful for how they handled the whole experience. Repeating the procedure in a few weeks. I really am happy with the doctors and staff at Maxwell. And they direct bill so it takes a lot of the financial burden off of expensive dental treatments.

They are the best. It was such a pleasant experience having my teeth cleaned. Cannot say that about every dentist or hygienist!

Everything was well coordinated and professionally done. Also Dr Maxwell provided assessment that I asked and was not planned for today and he came without having to wait.

I called to book an appointment and was told I'd be transferred to the coordinator waited it to ring 15 times and they hung up on me and I was looking to spend 2000 the customer service is pathetic you lost 2000 cause ur secretary didn't have time to book my appointment that's lots money and bad skills. I’m a new patient to the practice as my dentist of 35 years retired so I was a bit apprehensive! There was no need, the service was great and I felt very comfortable. Think I’ve found my new dentists!

I have never been the biggest fan of going TO the dentist, but I can say I am the biggest fan OF my dentist. The team at Maxwell dental is extremely personable, approachable, knowledgeable and they take the time to educate you on their procedures, findings, and approach.

From Dr. Greff and Dr. Rodriguez, to their dental assistants and hygiene team - even their front office staff are a joy to be around. They take the time to get to know their clients and work with their patients to create an experience that helps re write how we used to think of going to the dentist.

My experience was excellent! Dr Greff was incredibly thorough and provided many alternatives for treatment, all considering my overall, long term health. The rest of the staff was also very friendly and knowledgeable.

The staff is so friendly. My hygienist was the nicest I have ever had. She was very attentive to me. She would apologize for any discomfort she caused me, even though it was part of the cleaning and assessment. Very relatable and informative. She explained the procedures in detail, gave a reason to any and all of them, and was very informative and educational as she explained everything. I felt like she was transparent with the things that cost extra or that my Insurance would not cover. All of these extras were given to me as an option I could opt out if I wanted. Overall, this clinic is very transparent, helpful, friendly, and educational/informative.

The Maxwell Dental team went out of their way to accommodate me with a scheduling mix up as I drove down from Edmonton on the wrong day!
Dr. Greff and his team were so very understanding and tweaked their schedules to fit me in at the last minute. They made me feel as if it was no big deal that I arrived one whole day early. Lol. Dr. Greff is a clean, efficient and skilled professional Holistic Dentist. He and his assistant extracted my mercury amalgam and prepped the tooth for a crown with ease and in less time than was estimated, I would not hesitate whatsoever to recommend the Maxwell Dental Team to my family and friends. The experience was far better than I could have ever imagined it to be.

I have never been to a dentist office that is more thorough and educating. As someone with underlying health issues that could effect my teeth, my first visit was so informative, I felt so cared for and my hygienist Valerie is amazing at what she does. Dr Greff was also amazing, educating for my situation and helpful in so many ways that I’ve never experienced at a dental office before. It was truly a unique experience and I’m so happy to have found Maxwell dental!

I have been searching for a holistic dentist for a while and saw what great reviews Maxwell had, so thought I'd give it a try for my kids. It's just about an hours drive each way from where we live, so I was, initially, committed to this.

Even though their website goes on and on about 'looking at the whole health of the person' (or words to that effect) the only difference in the way my kids were handled compared to our usual 'regular' dentist was that they didn't get asked if the wanted fluoride, other than that the experience was exactly the same. And for that privilege, the portion that our insurance didn't cover, was almost double what I would have paid at our regular dentists office.
The Dentist my kids saw, who wasn't 'Dr Geoff', seemed more concerned with the fact that I should spend $1,500 (!), replacing one of my sons fillings, than anything else. She wasn't 'warm and fuzzy' and I just didn't get a very welcoming vibe from her.
And you'd think for the extra they charge, their treatment areas would be a a little more 'up-to-date'. It felt like stepping back in time 15 - 20yrs, but that's besides the point, it's just an observation.

I wouldn't have left a negative review, except I e-mailed them to let them know that we wouldn't be returning and why and also stated that I was e-mailing rather than leaving a negative review, but they haven't even had the courtesy to respond to me, so I guess my initial 'gut feeling' about them was correct. And sadly, they've left a bitter taste in my mouth about all holistic dentists now: (

Going to the dentist can actually be an enjoyable experience. The staff at Maxwell are wonderful, so friendly and caring, I feel really safe going in for cleaning or other services. They really care about your health and offer alternative or holistic options.

We came here as per our neighbor's recommendations. They a very friendly with kids. Our 4 year old did very well compared with other dental office. The doctors are very supportive and give options for treatment procedures.

I visited Maxwell Dental for my 6 month cleaning. I was a bit nervous due to COVID-19 and questioned if I was putting myself and my family at risk. However, I was very impressed with how serious they are taking the pandemic and the steps they are implementing to mitigate any potential risks. I feel very confident to return for my next appointment in the near future.

Super welcoming staff made me feel at ease from the moment I walked in the door. The bacterial swab was a very educational experience. The recommendations were fair and the direct billing is awesome. I recently had an appointment to get the big cavity in my tooth filled.

However, Dr. Rodriguez said that due to the size of the cavity the regular filling likely won’t work and that she will be doing me a disservice if she did that.

I have asked her a lot of questions and she patiently answered all of them. In fact, she was answering my questions for about 40 minutes and I wasn’t charged a dime on that day.

This young dentist is very graceful, kind, wise and knowledgeable.

Needless to say, I recommend lovely Dr. Rodriguez very much!

This a very professional, and wonderful experience. I was treated very well my teeth where cleaned and polished. Dr Greff did a thorough examination. He found i had a broken root on one tooth that was bothering me. Now i go back to get it removed. Stay tuned for the rest of the story.

They have a annual Halloween candy buy back that teaches children about whole foods and how sugar can be damaging to us. The office is clean and inviting. The staff is caring and considerate. I'm in again this weekend to meet the dentist and excited for that.
This office has a lot to offer in terms of biocompatible options and education. Also, you might want to check out the bacteria living in your mouth that they can show you on a microscope. Don't have to of you don't want to.

Everyone was so friendly and patient. All staff were considerate of my anxiety regarding dental procedures and really tried to make me as comfortable as possible.

Not honest! When you tell them you have insurance and want to do a cleaning so that you are not charged for anything.they slip in a "service" to take a sample of your gum and show you your bacteria in a microscope.something that takes a minute, and then charge you $81, without informing you at the office! Then the rude manager argues with you. And the greedy clinic refused to refund this, even though it was not something I signed up for. I've never been charged for a service like this before! Be more up front with your customers. Every dental clinic I have gone to has always told me at the BEGINNING what my insurance will or wont cover, even though I told these guys I only wanted a cleaning. Everything is over-priced.

Also, they will pressure you into x-rays, even if you present no problems. Because in the end, it's more money for them, while they double price their "specialty" toothpaste ($15) and hydrogen peroxide ($30) mouth rinse.do yourself a favor, save some money, and buy some Tom's or other brand at superstore, including some food grade hydrogen peroxide and rinse with that! This is a very greedy clinic and I won't be back unfortunately.
