My dad ordered a new vehicle from here, at a confirmed price. Once the car actually came in, all the sudden he got charged like $2000 extra for “dealership fees”, which were not stated in the beginning. They refused to do anything about it & are only refunding him for his deposit. Nobody will address what a dealership fee even is, and they keep beating around the bush about it. Dad called manager and the manager said “it’s for air in tires and documentation”… they already charged $999 for this! Dad called 3 separate people and nobody will tell him what this extra charge is actually for and they kept ignoring the issue and wouldn’t do anything for him! Slimy

Got there 15 minutes early for oil change appointment and was told it would take over an hour because "busy season" the service advisor was not very helpful. No, nope, can't do it. What a waste of time. I left and came back 5 minutes later, talk to service manager and she was able to promptly find a solution. Very happy with the results but could do without the suspense. 5 stars for Megan!

Because of the shortage of this model, we bought our new car in Edmonton even though we live in Calgary. We were treated with great courtesy by West Edmonton Mall Toyota starting with a pickup from the airport and all through the final delivery process. Alexander Sherman, our sales advisor, organized the whole event for us, including a tour of the brand new magnificent facility and an introduction to the excellent Toyota Prius Prime. The financial arrangements concluded, we went on our way to visit in Edmonton I would recommend this dealership to anyone living around Edmonton or beyond - it is worth a visit just for the spectacle.

Buyer beware! Bought a vehicle from mayfield.truck was fully inspected when I bought it from mayfield, I have only driven roughly 17000km got 1 oil change, went to book my second oil change now my truck needs a comprehensive inspection. (which the lady claimed needs to be done every two oil changes) On a truck that was inspected when I bought it and I only driven 17000km now needs a $112+ GST comprehensive inspection? Since when do vehicles need to be fully inspected every two oil changes?

Purchased 1st ever new vehicle from Casey Curran at WEM Toyota. A ton of technical research and due diligence was done on the 2021 RAV4 Hybrids before purchase. Any unknowns after this process, I was surprised to get answers from Casey. He definitely knows his products, and he met/exceeded expectations. I highly recommend others to go his way.

Do not bring your vehicle for repairs to West Edmonton Toyota.

Their customer service is terrible, the services they perform are not satisfactory, and their not willing to address customer concerns afterwards. They somehow administratively lost my car and all my personal information even though I literally made an appt in addition to making a key drop off (while filling out all the drop off forms). Even though they lost my car they proceeded to correct me 4 different times that there was no key drop off information (or any personal info whatsoever) even though it happened so I recommended that they go and check their cameras which Im sure they didnt do.

We brought our car in due to clicking noises in the brakes. We thought they had fixed the brakes and so got our car back after a long ordeal as the admin team again somehow lost our car and therefore didnt have an invoice to pay. 3 weeks later the clicking noise came back and so I called them to ask what they wanted to do and they simply said this is normal for a Toyota Avalon.

So from my perspective, we brought our car in for repairs which they basically lost, they did NOT fix our issue whatsoever, and are now telling us we should just accept the clicking noise because theres really nothing they can do.

Im not sure about you but I wouldnt bring my most important mobile asset to a dealership that operates like this from an administrative and
service perspective. I would recommend that if you have options that you go elsewhere as clearly they dont care about your business.

We went to buy used camry hybrid. Casey Curran (Senior Product Advisor) from sales was so great and helped us from beginning to end. We found 1 minor problem with car door during test drive and dealership agreed to split cost half and half. The part had a wait time of 1 week. To our surprise door got fixed on its own after we started driving. So I requested to cancel on the part. They understood and cancelled the part issuing full refund. I have never seen such customer service anywhere. I highly recommend them specially for used cars.

I dealt with Danny Chau and Celia Chan. They made the process easy - we negotiated on a price and worked the financing out with Celia. We were done in two hours. We picked up the vehicle on the same date as promised and drove away with the vehicle within an hour. This was a very smooth experience and I would recommend them to anyone looking for a Toyota.

Original estimate for service timeline was 3 hours (0900-1200). At that point in time we checked in, and got strung along with "ohh another 30 mins" every 30 mins until 1600. If they would have been upfront with how long it would take it would have been fine, but instead they wasted our afternoon.

I think Nissan gave me PTSD after purchasing my first vehicle in 2019. I got hosed in finance, lied to about maintenance packages, had sunglasses stolen from trade in, was stranded by a loaner car when mine went in for maintenance and came back still not fixed, tires wore out at 17k.nothing but problems. I got a lemon as far as I am concerned and no help from the dealership to rectify things. I decided enough was enough and traded in my Qashqai for a Toyota Rav4 2021. The experience was by far better, Mahesh was an awesome salesperson, Celia talked me through all of the financing and answered all of my questions with patience and kindness. I was even offered a gas top up for having to come back to pick up the second set of keys. Night and day difference, so far highly recommend Toyota's service and staff. I hope things continue this way!

They pressure you so hard into "getting the best deal", the sales agent also lied to me about the financing % claiming it's an "only tonight offer" when the whole company was on red tag deals.

They also wouldn't refund you your "money down to reserve", even when you found a better deal elsewhere.

Very difficult to negotiate a deal with their ultimatum tactics. Better to haggle elsewhere.

And if you back out from their offer, they will non stop harass you for days. Be cautious buying from here.

I called mayfield Toyota on a Pick up truck for sale moments after it was posted. The listed price was $41,910. When I contacted the sales associate and got more information on the truck, we had decided to leave a deposit on it as we could not make it to Edmonton till the weekend. The sales associate took my information and a proposal for purchase was drawn up. 25 minutes later, the sales associate called me back and said that they had made a mistake. I asked what the mistake was and he said the truck was listed for the incorrect price. The actual price was $45,900. I asked to speak with the sales manager to find out how this all happened and they said it was a system glitch. The truck was listed on 3 different platforms for the same price when posted for sale AND their own dealer website. Naturally I was frustrated and told them we would deal with it the next day. I called the GM of the dealer the following morning to ask why the price was adjusted, again their answer was it was a system glitch. My problem is is that the dealer had ZERO desire to make things right or try and make a deal at all. The sales manager on shift when I had originally called in was also very arrogant and essentially told me that “I don’t have to sell the truck to you”. All in all it was a garage experience and I hope people are aware of random price changes. **** A day after if was posted for $45,900 the price was changed AGAIN and it’s final list price was almost $49,000. **** price gouging at it’s finest!

This is the second used vehicle we bought from Mayfield Toyota this year. Dealt with Hassan again and the experience was quite positive. We new the vehicle we want before hand as I did research prior to meeting with Hassan. After our test drive we sat down and talked numbers as we were trading in an old truck. In total took an hour (test drive to numbers) and we had a deal.picked up the vehicle 2 days later exchanged keys and gone. Quite satisfied as we got what we expected and left with a new new used truck

I currently own my second car from Mayfield Toyota. First one purchased in 2009, my daughter still drives that one. I purchased my second one in 2013. I have never been disappointed with my service. I felt compelled to finally write review though, because recently I had them do a full detail on my car, and was amazed at how well it was done! There wasn't a spot missed inside or out. And they even buffed out white streaks along the outside. My car looked brand new! I couldn't have been more pleased.

The service my spouse & I received during our visit to Mayfield Toyota was the most pleasant we've had at a Dealership! From our sales associate, Jason, the manager Shawn, finance manager Myron and the service manager Justin! They all took their time to answer all of our questions, and help us purchase 2 new vehicles that we love.

I recently brought my vehicle in to install a set of running boards (Highlander), and the Service team were all friendly, and professional to deal with!

I got my vehicle back quickly and the install was perfect!

If you love getting insulted, this is the best place to go! What a joke of a dealership, how these guys are still in business is beyond me. Tried trading in a very clean car, in near new condition, worth about 13-14000 dollars according to all the other similar cars on Kijiji. They offered 4000,4 grand! What a bunch of crooks this place. I will gladly shop next door at the next dealership, this place just lost a potential customer, and i'll make sure to let others know about it.

I purchased a 2018 RAV4 Hybrid.
Problem: After the first year of using it, my RAV4 started having issues when the temperature drops below -20 C. This is a major problem when you live in Canada. Last year, Toyota said that the problem was with the battery and they changed it. This year, the first time that the temperature dropped, my car doesn't start again. Had to boost it three times so far in last two weeks.
Why 0 stars: I brought my car to Mayfield Toyota to get my car checked since there is obviously a problem with it. They told me that I don't drive it enough. Fair enough with COVID. So I asked how much I should be driving each day since I have been driving it 30 min every day. They said they didn't know. They offered no help what so ever and proceeded to charge me $173 for diagnosis. They also suggested that I buy a trickle charger for $200ish with no guarantee that this would fix the issue. Also, this trickle charger would be in the trunk (where the battery is located) so I would have to somehow snake the wire through the door to charge it.
This will be the last Toyota that I purchase. It is very clear that the only thing this company cares about is cash. What ever happened to customer service?

Pricing better than many other dealers. Forgot to add another comment. 90% of the time my suv is getting serviced in Mayfield, the one complaint i see with the service is that the technician over torqueing some of the wheel nuts and its so hard to take a couple of them out.

Had the pleasure of dealing with Jason D the e-commerce manager while looking for my next vehicle. Although I did not end up purchasing from Mayfield, it was one of the best experiences I had shopping for a car. I am very happy with my vehicle I bought last Saturday from a great Sales Rep - Andy Lam who shows amazing sense of ownership, remarkable customer service attitude and spirit. I even got a follow up call from him yesterday after the sales which you won't find from any others. He is my best experience after shopping around with other dealers such as Gateway Toyota, Southview Acura, Go Nissan North and Zender Ford. He won both my boy friend's and my absolute trust for my future car purchase. Of course I am also impressed by the service from the sale manager - Henry. We will definitely recommend my friends and family come over to them and Mayfield Toyota when there is need.

Update from 4 to 1 star, as of July 2018:

As I mentioned before, they are so busy that they don’t care if you have some bigger concern about your car. They are just gonna tell you what to replace and how much you have to pay.
They don’t take a minute to try to explain what is the cause of the problem or to understand you concerne.
And their mechanic foreman Dave.oh.such a unpatient person. If there would be a mechanic that you could say he is really nice, he took a minute to explaine the issue and try to inderstand the problem. HE IS NOT THAT GUY!
And again, this place is sooo busy and because it all comes down to get your money and kick you out.
That is my impression as a customer!

Generally you get a bit of a chill down your spine at the thought of taking a vehicle to a dealership for maintenance, but I've been consistently - and pleasantly - surprised here.

The people working here are friendly, and - most appreciated - honest, as I keep records of what work has been done and what I've done on my vehicle and it's a refreshing change to not be upsold all the time with unnecessary maintenance in a patronizing way. They're also okay with bringing my own oil, which is nice as I get to choose and keep my costs down a bit.

And they're quick, too, with a nice waiting area inside and a very generous coffee machine with pretty much every type you can think of only a press away. And if it's something a little more major than just swapping fluids, their shuttle service is handy - which is good, because the dealership itself is awkwardly placed with regards to bus stops.

It's always amusing to see just how busy they are when driving past, too, as the surrounding access road is packed with vehicles.

I recently purchased a new Toyota Corolla 18' back in January and since then i've run into some issues specifically with the dealership and what seems to be lack of communication/organization. First off, when I purchased the car, I was not made aware of the fact that the block heater was on a recall and my vehicle did not include it. It wasn't until I was inspecting the car at pickup that I noticed the block heater was missing. When I had asked about it, my sales associate claimed he didn't know either and didn't get back to me till a few hours later and then mentioned that it was on a recall and that i'd have to be on a wait list. I didn't get too upset regarding this issue as I was very excited to get my new vehicle. Fast forward to two weeks ago, I brought my car into the dealership for its first 6 month car service. At the appointment, not one person from Toyota mentioned anything about the block heater and after an hour, they sent me home saying everything is up to par and good till the next service. It didn't occur to me until a few days after that I forgot to ask about the block heater situation since it has now been 6 months of being on the list. When I called Toyota to ask for an update, the lady on the phone mentioned that the block heater parts were in and they have already started installations for other vehicles. I mentioned to her that my car was in for service just a few days ago and not one person caught on to my vehicle being on the list of installations. The lady was very kind on the phone however that does not justify my vehicle being overlooked at a car service. At the car service, once my car model is pulled up on file, shouldn't the employees be aware that this model is missing a block heater? Because of this, I had to come in on two separate occasions back and forth to the dealership on my day off. Super inconvenient and not impressed with details overlooked.

I agree with other customers. You don’t even deserve one star. I payed down payment for a preowned Toyota RAV4. One week later, I went to pick up the car. The car they showed me didn’t have the heated seat and back up camera as the website information described. Also, almost 10k miles more than it supposed to be. The car was very dirty and has a dent on it left side door. When I was talking with the sales person, he said the car had no accident, was driven by a female and have already done inspection and repair work. This made me believe the car they provided with me is different from the one I ordered. I was told that I need to pay more money to get a backup camera. While not arguing with them, the manager has a terrible attitude and said that there’s people linning up to buy the car, if you don’t want, we will just return your money.

If you are considering to buy a car here, remember that down payment means nothing to them. They can tear it down anytime if they want. Also, if you need to do follow up service at the Toyota mayfield after buying the car, be prepared to get frustrated or be robbed.

You do not deserve a star, I recently came from
Beverlodge Alberta and visited your preowned store. I picked out a rav 4 with my daughter and husband and got the final quote witch was 28,500 all in and came in today to do the final paperwork. There was a miss communication between the parties at your end. This in turn made me not buy a rav4 from you as it was much higher.    If I quoted quoted a client in my business and then turned it around to a larger fee I would eat the cost due to my negilance.   This was very upsetting to me and my family.   I hope in the future you can have your employees communicate to each other so they fully understand. The man who told us the wrong price would not even come over to the finance lot and talk to us like he said he would after my son in law called him on the phone. He also works for a large company and said that this was a very big mistake on the part of your company.   First time buyer and I am so very disappointed and feel disrespected.   I know you are a large company and I am just a small peon in your buyers. I had to voice my opinion.

Went there to look at a used truck, Duncan along with the manager John went above and beyond what I have come to expect when buying from a dealership. They ensured all our needs were taken care of and the sale could not have gone any smoother.

If you are in the market for a used vehicle, be sure to ask for Duncan McGillivary.

Overall the entire experience was a pleasure.

High pressure lying dealership
First of all, I normally only leave reviews for extremely great service or extremely poor service. Unfortunately, this is for the latter. Mayfield Common Toyota is just like any other high pressure, lying, car dealership. I’ve been emailing with one of their salesmen about a Tacoma over the course of a week and was given the promise of a price match to any other dealerships. I even asked if they would honor the “no GST” promotion during the Zero Event (where you don’t have to pay GST). The salesman didn’t know about said event until I sent him the link to his website. I guess that should have been my first red flag. Having agreed to this all in writing, I went in ready to purchase, spent several hours of my day, test drove, etc.only to have the sales manager come over and say “No, you will have to pay GST if you want the price we offered you. ” They claim to be the best Toyota dealership in western Canada, and upon making a trip there to purchase my dream truck, I thought they were. I was given very kind and professional service over the phone and via email. However, the buck stopped there once I was in the door. So unfortunately for them, the bucks stay in my pocket as they were not true to the price their salesmen offered even though it was given in writing. I will be buying elsewhere (unless they honor their price) as I cannot morally support a company that will not stand by their word.

This is why they are just like any other typical high pressured dealership:
1. Agree to great price to get you in the door.
2. Go back on their word to PRESSURE you into a higher price once you are present.
3. Assume you will pay more once you’ve test driven and touched the vehicle you’re interested in.
4. Are not well researched in the promos they are offering.
5. Apparently, have hidden loop holes with their promos sound better than they are.

Very, very disappointed. Typical high pressured car dealership.

The day i took delivery of my 2018 Tacoma I noticed some scratches on the paint and was told they would be fixed. I also purchased the ecp and was told that scratches, rock chips etc.would be taken care of so I wasn't too worried. The next day I noticed they had removed the mud flaps probably because of the fender flares I had them put on. I knew that this would create more damage and it has. So after 9000 km I have more rock chips than my old truck, not happy. When I went to get the paint fixed I was told there is nothing they could do. I asked to speak to a manager but that question was ignored. I've been a customer here for 15 years, bought 2 new trucks and spent over a hundred thousand dollars here and they won't fix a few rock chips. Don't think I'll ever buy another vehicle from this place, so disappointed.

Purchased a 2018 Highlander with the assistance of Andy Lam and Phi Nguyen in June of 2018. These 2 were extremely helpful from the initial contact through the website, all the way through to the purchase and some followup afterwards. I highly recommend these guys. My only complaint is that the business has outgrown their facility and we had to go to 3 different buildings within a couple of blocks of each other in order to do the test drive, make the purchase deal and arrange the financial stuff. Regardless of that, we had fantastic service and love our new Highlander

Sukh Chahal and John Hamdan are two of the finest gentlemen I have had the pleasure of dealing with. To say I was a difficult customer would be an understatement, but they got me into my Rav4 with nothing but grace and professionalism. I would recommend Mayfield Toyota 100% and I look forward to dealing with them again in 5 years or so when I trade my vehicle for something new!

SALESPERSON, DOUGLAS, TOOK LOTS OF TIME WITH US. HE WAS I INFORMATIVE, SHOWED US ALL OF THE FEATURES OF THE VEHICLE. THE FINANCE MANAGER, ALI, WAS ALSO VERY PATIENT, WENT THRU ALL OF THE WARRANTIES ETC. KEN, THE MANAGER WAS HELPFUL AS WELL. MY HUSBAND BOUGHT A FORERUNNER FROM MAYFIELD A FEW MONTHS AGO, I BOUGHT A RAV 4 AND YESTERDAY MY HUSBAND BOUGHT A TRUCK FOR HIS COMPANY.
IF IT WASNT FOR DOUGLAS FOLLOWING UP WITH ME ON MY FIRST VISIT, TELLING ME ABOUT THE MIDNIGHT MADNESS, I PROBABLY WOUKD NOT HAVE BOUGHT A VEHICLE YHIS YEAR.

I recently purchased a used car from Mayfield Toyota. The entire staff was very helpful and friendly. Andy was my salesman and I found him to be excellent. He was very knowledgeable, professional and helpful. I felt I could trust him and I wouldn't hesitate to do business with him again. Celia guided me through the purchase payment process. She was very professional and thorough. She was super to deal with. In summary, it was a great experience. Thank you.

I must say I am very disappointed with the service that I got at Mayfield Toyota. Not only did I feel mislead by the sales person and I felt as though my time was wasted but the Sales Manager promised to give me a call after he spoke to his manager but they never did bother to call me back. Had they called me back and attempted to make things right for me they would have had a sale but now I will choose to take my business to a different Toyota dealership or perhaps even switch to something other than Toyota which I never thought I'd ever do. I felt as though I put everything on the table as to what I was looking for and what my budget was and I felt like I was totally mislead and that they didn't listen to me at all. The Sales person told me in the parking lot that they'd give me what I owed on my Toyota to do a trade but then when we went inside to discuss numbers he couldn't follow through. He told me the price of the car that I test drove was a different price than what it actually was. And then he wasn't clear with the negotiating with the paper work. Let's also keep in mind that Toyota called ME and wanted me to upgrade my car. I didn't want to waste my time or theirs and I was very clear on that. It was a HUGE waste of my time and a huge disappointment in the end. I won't even continue to go there for my oil changes. I can't believe the sales manager made a commitment to me that he would call me and then I just never ever heard from him again. Not what I call customer service and they definitely lost my business for good.

Amazing experience! I’ve been to over 15 dealerships in my life. I’ve boughten 2 new cars. I bought a 2013 Toyota Tundra from the used sales here. Amazing service. I dealt with Denis (he was so honest and genuine!) we then dealt with Karim Karim in financing he was amazing too! There is nothing bad I can say about my service in purchasing a used vehicle here. No hidden fees. True genuine amazing service! Would highly recommend checking them out!
