Mike and Jake were really really easy to communicate with.
They put in 6 pot lights to replace some old fixtures in a family room, and put in a fan (that we purchased ourselves) in our nursery. Also did some work cleaning up our old electric panel.
The pot light placement transformed the room - very happy with the result. Nursery fan works well.

I also appreciated that they were honest with pricing and tried to save us money where they could.

We will use them again when we redo our basement!

I had an issue recently where my circuit kept tripping when using my work from home set-up. I knew the electronics set-up I had plugged in was no where near overloading the circuit, as I used this same set-up in my previous home. Regardless the arc fault circuit breaker kept tripping and it started to concern me. I called Mayne Electric for the first time and I couldn't have been happier with the service. Mike walked me through possible scenarios, walked me through different solutions and really put me at ease. A couple of days later, Steve one of the electricians, came out to my spot and quickly found the root of the problem. He was an absolute dream to work with. Turns out my arc fault circuit breaker was nuisance tripping, and it was replaced with a ground fault breaker. The price for the service I thought was fair (I paid $178). I look at it as I got excellent service, but I also got a quick education on electrical safety. At some point in the future, I'm going to get the lights done in my place and will not hesitate to call them. If you want honest and good service, don't waste your time calling other electrians - call Mayne Electric!

I don’t usually leave reviews but I feel compelled to do so. I’ve hired Mayne electric to do some work on my home, taking care of new light fixtures, running some new cat5 lines and some exterior lighting for me. They have gone OVER and ABOVE! They are professional, courteous, trust worthy, clean, fast and do NOT cut any corners. Their knowledge and experience shines through. They are a pleasure to deal with, keeping me informed every step of the way, offering suggestions and super friendly. I will be using them for all my electric needs. I’m a pretty handy guy and their work is top notch. Do yourself a favor and hire Mayne, I’m glad I did. Just look at the new exterior lights they installed. My house is by far the coolest on the block! Go Oilers!

I had a small renovation project. The guy figured out what he had to get done and was reassuring. Easy to understand, efficient and honest. Really appreciate the communication. They got it done in good time! No problems. Amazing value.

I chose a small company to support local. Keeping gas prices top of mind, I chose a company close to me; 3.2 km/6 minutes as per maps. I was charged 8 hours labour to have a bathroom fan and insulated vent replaced. The first time they (2 electricians) came, they were here for just under an hour. The second time, they were here for a total of 45 minutes. When I questioned the $747.95 invoice, I was told that the 2 electricians that came for each of the two visits had to be paid. $85 for 4 hours each. One of the electricians was new/apprentice so would not paid top rate of $85 but that's what I was charged. I was asked what I thought was fair. I paid a generous $343.70 (one electrician for 3 hours) which grants a liberal amount for picking up the insulated vent. While I am pleased with the work done, if you use this company, ask how many people you will be paying.

Mike and the crew have worked on our home several times now and even putting up with the changes I keep making during my renovations. Mike gives great suggestions on ideas, things I wouldn't have even thought of doing. I trust him in my home even when we can't be at home with him.
