Not all McDonald’s are the same. Unfortunately, some of these McDonald’s are owned by three and four are owned by one family or one group and a run different to the others. This one’s awful because it’s slow you have people that don’t understand your order. You have to repeat it, and I don’t know how many times I’ve left without my complete order.
This location was great a year ago when I originally reviewed it. Today I had an unacceptable experience. The food is old and cold which I knew from tasting a few fries in the car. The drinks machine was said to be "out of order" then it was "turned on" as I was handed an empty cup. My take-out order was served on trays and I had to make a separate transaction to buy bags.
Went there late last night and they completely messed up my order. They just refunded my money and didn’t care to get my proper order. The women didn’t even apologize just stared so I went to another Mcdonalds.
I tried to buy big Mac meal with my coupon. I changed drink option to milkshake and staff asked me to pay $12. I said, tried to put it again because I paid less than that last night. She kept saying same thing over and over just like she does not know English. I made same deal in another Mcdonald's in South side as $8.99. Well, if you want to sell something, find someone who knows what to do, wait, no find someone who speaks English!
I ordered a large double double. They served me a large black. I returned it (without drinking it) and they did not want to replace it and gave me a terrible attitude (they threw me one creme and one sugar with a stick, as if it was the same as a large DD). What a gang of thieves. They take your money, don't deliver the product, and don't give you your money back.
Good food can't say that every McDonald's is different from one and other but the food here does pretty good job on making it the same almost every time I go there so not to oily and not too dry
Went in tonight at 9: 50 pm after having been on the road for 12 hours. My family (including 2 seniors) and I just wanted to grab some fast food and sit in the restaurant for 15 minutes to eat it, instead of having to eat in the car.
The staff member who was working the cash tonight, Jill-Anne, was clearly displeased that we were walking in 10 mins before they closed the dining room. She said they lock the door 5 mins before 10. If that were true, then it should be advertised at such with a sign on the door.
She put our order in a paper bag instead of on a tray, subtly letting us know we weren't welcomed to eat in the dining room.
The experience turned us down so much that we paid for our order and we ended up eating in the car.
I get that working in the fast food industry is a tiring job, and probably not very well paid, but this is not a way of treating your customers.
Left a bad taste in our mouths as our first experience arriving in Edmonton.
Refused a free refill on a pop, which is not a huge deal other locations provide refills but the manager had zero customer service skills and chose to ignore me, and then when I was forced to get their attention they gave me an attitude when I wanted to use my rewards points on an iced coffee.
Poor and rude customer service seems to be regular feedback from this location and it shows when a person in a leadership role is so completely clueless about how to treat a customer with basic curiosity and respect.
Not bad. It's McDonald's, so you can't really have high expectations. Chicken isn't always fresh, but the fries especially aren't that great, sadly. First time I ordered, my fries and chicken were dark, but second time, were not? No clue what was up with that.
BEWARE OF THIS MCDONALDS. Probably the worst Mcdonald’s in Edmonton. Absolutely disgusting. Nice to know you give customers moldy food and don’t check dates on packages y’all get. Even worse when you overhear an employee in the back say they’re expired! Shame on you!
So we usually get our fast food here suring the weekends coz of 5 kids and second, it's near our place. I remember that this store has at least missed an item in our orders at least 5 times. They did replace it it but the hassle of getting back to get it or to find out that one of ur kid doesn't have his sandwich in a very busy day is frustrating. And one more thing.the fries here usually have zero to no salt. Managers, please supervise your staff better.
We usually avoid mcdonalds. We decided to go here for our wedding anniversary because our kids have been asking to go to mcdonalds for a long time now. We decided this branch because of the decent size of the play area. What a disappointment. The play area was closed. The place was empty. I feel the quality of McDonald's food has gone down. The staff was unfriendly and not professional.
Great service but the quality could be better. I personally think they are more focused on speed. I get it but quality is what will bring customers back!
I ironically asked for mfing bts meal and they gave me a normal meal with none of the bts things? It said it had all different packaging a card and something else and i payed for it too.
I visited this location april 24th and 25th as a courier of skip the dishes and in both those days I waited for a longtime. I want you to know that we're doing business too like you so it's not profitable to wait more than 10 minutes in the store plus 15 minutes to deliver it to the customer which means the total of 25 minutes at order of 6$ no profit ast all. As I notice there's a discrimination they prioritize drive thru due to drive thru time and their customers too plus they serve the order at the monitor before making it due to service time then the expiditor struggling in making order by seeing the bills. The expiditor is running the order outside too which is against McDonald's policy the or she shouldn't move from OAT. I hope you will work on that and prioritize courier by assigning one crew only for them as they are doing business like you too.
I don't think they inspect the food before they give it to you. I also don't think they change the oil in the deep fryer as often as they should. The food is awful.
Went to get a vanilla milkshake. It was very disgusting. To the staffs credit they replaced it with a smoothie which was fine. Also had a coffee which was adequate.
Food I got from here was great! They didn't have the donuts I ordered, and I left a not-great review on skip the dishes, but I just discovered they threw a bunch of extra donuts in to make up for it, which I appreciate. Thank you!:)
Honest, the service here is always great. The extra is that my Chicken Mcmuffin is always toasted at this location, I luv it! My banana chocolate chunk muffin always has chocolate chunks! Kudos to the team!
Day time here is okay pretty slow most time but get ready to wait around in there lobby for at least 25 mins if you come any time after 9 pm at this location, they honestly mess up so many basic orders way to often, just ordered a bacon egg bagel with ketchup and its only got egg and cheese on it and thats about it and I even ordered at the machine teller and this has been happening way to much.literally don't waste your time here and go down to the mayfield location
Ordered a medium half coffee half hot chocolate and got a mocca that tasted like cr_p! Threw the drink out the window, but threw the cup in the recycle. Wont go there again.
Ok last time I went there food was awesome, made right and fast.staff on shift was super friendly chatty and helpful. 98% of the other trips to this location made me lose what tiny faith I had left in the human race.i'm loving it.
I've been to this location several times due to proximity to my work. Extremely slow service, regular (as in, non-trainee) staff don't seem to know how to take orders or use the POS system. As in, cashier starts taking order, then has to consult a supervisor, then both cashier and supervisor can't figure out how to input the order. Given that it's McDonald's its really strange. I've tried using the self serve kiosk and they literally do not even work. You punch in the order and then it won't take payment. Frustrating. On more than one occasion I've waited 15 minutes for a black coffee. My biggest gripe, the door to the men's washroom has clear glass on the door, which is DIRECTLY beside the urinal.
Not a huge fan of this location before this review, used the drive thru to get a breakfast sandwich with no cheese, thankfully we were going to eat in the parking lot as i discovered there was the processed cheese on it. Went back to correct it and the lady was nice. I was angry though cause the person either didn't actually listen and note no cheese or they didn't follow the request, they also made us wait in the extended drive thru parking for 4-5 mins
Food was average. Floors were filthy. They really need to wash those self serve kiosks, they all were filthy. Please don't give attitude when customers ask for napkins and ketchup at the counter when you can't find 2 mins to refill the ones by the fountain pop machine.
Good food! Although if you want to take a small child to this play centre this is definitely not the right McDonalds. The 3 year olds cannot climb on the platform to slide down the tunnel as they are to tiny to get up on platform. Sign says no adults in play centre! Some parents did just step inside area to help lift their child or other children up on platform so they could slide down tunnel. I don't believe it a good fit for small children. If you want your child to play in a play center maybe go to the newer McDonalds where it is accessible to all age groups.
Piss poor service here, everyone including the manager has no idea what they are doing. I ordered 2 of the new McChickens and discover they are dryer then a popcorn fight, drive all the way back and request them to either put more sauce on or make new sandwiches which they did and this time they have even less sauce and the whole crop worth of lettuce on them. I highly recommend avoiding this place and check out McDonalds on 100th and 178th
This is the worst McDonald's! I regret every time I come here. Fries are always old and cold, sometimes they don't have ice cream, other times they’re not accepting some payment method, there is always something wrong going on in this place. But today was definitely my last time here. I went to the drive-thru, ordered a Carolina bbq burger, that I always wanted to try only because of the crispy onions, and when I got home and opened the box, I found a burger with 2 crispy onions on it. It was ridiculous! I rather drive a little further and stop at the McDonald's on 178st than come here again. I tried to upload a pic but idk why is not uploading.
Sooo slow.dining room guests are a after thought to the drive thru. Waited 15 mins for a burrito and a hashbrown, while that same order went to someone in a car after i ordered. Felt like i was at Tim Hortons
Drive thru too busy, went inside, only to find a long line up at a till that no worker was manning. Too short staffed to handle normal morning coffee rush.
Trying to order food from this place is always a mess. It’s close and convenient to where I work, but it often takes 10+ minutes to receive a coffee. Most recently i ordered a chicken nugget meal and they forgot to give me my fries, when I walked back to McDonald’s so I could receive them it took a while to get someone attention, and when I did the lady just looked at me like I was crazy, and didn’t even apologize for the inconvenience. They’re always rude here, and the manager is often seen yelling at employees which is quite uncomfortable and unprofessional to see as a customer.
Took a very long time to get our order. Everything was thrown out while we were waiting so it had to be remade. Still had missing items that we had to go back to the counter for. However they tried to make it right.
