The curb side pick-up is a joke. Waiting 20 mins to receive cold food. “Fast food”. Why even offer this service if you are going to ignore your customers waiting at the curb side pick-up spots? If I could give zero stars I would, but I guess they earned the 1 star this time because I didn’t see a junkie hunching over at the door, as usual.
Lazy stuffs serving burned foods. Had time to talk about their boss and customer, didn’t get room clean. Garbages all over the floor and table, have to clean it by myself. Super bad experience in this McDonald.
I have been to this McDonald's for years and I love the staff there! The only thing that frustrates me is that the door to the outside is sometimes locked for no reason such that I would have to walk around and through the Walmart store to get to the McDonalds. This creates confusion and frustration. If a customer only comes for their breakfast at McDonald's, why not let them through the outside door rather than forcing them to walk through Walmart grumpy! Not really leaving a good impressions to Walmart's management team!
Every single time we go to this location, they always forget something from the order. Today was an order of fries. I ordered 4 EVM’s and only received 3 orders of fries. Please check your order before leaving the establishment. And don’t bother trying to call to have it rectified, they won’t do anything to help.
Watched as 5 young adults stood around and chatted for 10 minutes while looking at the big pail of freshly made fries, took them that long to put fries in a bag and give to us. Very strange.
I went into McDonald's and got some food. Later, I encountered a manager there by the name of Lary or Gary or something, but he treated me horribly. They were rude and insulting, and I got the impression that simply by speaking with him, I had done something wrong. He was aggressive and challenging to work with. He evoked an environment of tension and hostility that was impossible to ignore. I wouldn't advise anyone to meet this individual.
My kids love Mcdonald but this Royal Oak service is really bad. Mainly on weekends, staff is really rude and doesn't know how to serve customer. We asked for hotcakes but they never add maple syrup and butter in the bag.
I am diabetic and asked for no suger but they added suger. Management must provide some staff training and specially if staff doesn't want to work that day, don't call them for shift. It was on staff face they are forced to work on weekend.
How is it possible that with 3 people watching my food being made. You manage to screw up no onions? No onions means no onions. You can't even pick it off because they run it through a cheese grater. But it's no surprise, typical consistency out of mcdonald's Canada wide.
It's McDonald's. You love it or you don't. You know what you're getting when you walk in. Prices can be a bit higher here and they don't do the full menu of a stand alone location. Still love the fries.
Very busy with harried unfriendly staff; ordered large fries.just large fries.waited and waited while customers behind me with large combo orders came and went.had to get the attention of 2 employees that they had forgotten my order.never looked at me, never apologized. 10 minutes to get one order of large fries.
I hope this review finds you. I hope it helps you glean the answers you seek.
For you are truly a unicorn. Someone who actually needs a review of McDonald's to know what's up.
It's really tasty, but you also feel sad the whole time you eat it. Afterwards you hate yourself slightly more than you did before, but you know you'll be back eventually because it's really tasty.
I am a diabetic and the girl taking my order did not listen toy instructions so instead of a Coke Zero I got regular Coke. I will not be buying from them in the future. (McDonalds at Crowfoot)
I can't believe the size of the fish burger is now the size of an appetizer not a meal. The cheese was hanging out one side of the bun the fish Patty was hanging out the other side of the bun and there was so much tartar sauce on there the first bite I completely covered myself in it. For the cost of what you're charging me very disappointed
Slowest Fast Food Joint I've ever seen. They prepared 3 uber eats drivers orders after I had ordered, and the drivers were in and out faster than I was. "Fast" food. But they don't care.
Nice place in Royal oak, wish they had more staff so that lineups will be less + you don't get all the items from menu that one can find in the actual McDonalds restaurant because this one is a small store within WalMart as well wish they had power outlets to charge ones device while dining-in or drinking a coffee there.
Waited 25 minutes from the time on my receipt before I could even get the manager, Eddison, to take action on the meal I was missing. I watched them cancelling meals off the screen as soon as they came in to juke the stats. Every meal was moved to Now Serving and then off the screens long before it was served. Multiple people had delays as long as mine. I witnessed two arguments between staff and one staff (one of the two Muslim females, I didn't catch her name) argue with a customer, telling her she should have just ordered a fountain drink so they wouldn't accidentally give her an ice coffee when she wanted ice tea. Will never return.
Definitely the worst McDonald's in Calgary. I've visited here on multiple occasions and each time my order takes at least 10-20 minutes, even when I'm one of the only people in the restaurant ordering just a coffee. If you make a mobile order, they just call out "mobile order" when it's ready, but do not specify who's order it is or the order number. Everybody who mobile ordered rushes up to the counter to see if the order is theirs which turns into chaos. Unless you have nothing but time on your hands, just take the extra 8 minutes and go to the Crowfoot McDonald's for better service.
Bought a couple of apple pies and they gave me ones that were all dried up inside. Possibly a few days old. And the expiration stickers that usually come with them were ripped off of the boxes. TERRIBLE EXPERIEBCE. I might report them to the Mcdonald's Headquarters.
Nice place in Royal oak, wish they had more staff so that lineups will be less + you don't get all the items from menu that one can find in the actual McDonalds restaurant because this one is a small store within WalMart
Easily the worst experience.terrible job guys. I stood at the till for at least 15 minutes waiting to get served. When the employee finally seen me they walked away into the back and ignored me completely.
Went tonight, didn't have any large cups. Ice cream machine was broken. Nuggets taste like cardboard and it is almost like they have been sitting there for hours. So gross. Got quarter pounder with cheese but with no bun (for friend on keto) and thought that they would have wrapped it in lettuce but they put it on a piece of paper and nothing else. For the nuggets we ordered honey mustard sauce and they gave us straight honey to dip. We ended up going to crowfoot mcdonald's for ice cream, large pop, and proper sauce. Truly disappointed but it did have fast service.
Service pretty slow and they messed up my order like 6/7 times I've been there, once refused to acknowledge that they had messed it up. It's also usually pretty dirty. This is what I believe to be the ideal Walmart Mcdonald, so 5/5 stars.
I dont know why people mentioned drive thru as it is in walmart. Very poor service! 2 of the auto ordering booths were down so I went to order at the check out. The server helped the person infront of me and then left to do other things. I waited for 5 mins and asked 2 times out loud if anyone is serving to just be ignored. When she did come it happened fast. But it takes manners to just let someone know what is happening and this did not happen here!
McDonald's u know go at any location slower times! When u go ask for no salt on fries then they will make u fresh ones. And filet of baby fish. Ask to put salt & pepper in bag. They will love u forever
The mrs was just shouted at by the grill kid who exclaimed " your gonna have to pay for that! " After she tried to reorder her missing sandwich for me. The manager instantly comp'd the corrected order, i guess out of shock. Get them burgers grilled kid.
Slow, not the slowest McDonald’s I’ve been to but close to it. Waited over 10 minutes for a burger. They served a lot of other customers and gave them their orders before I even got mine. Then they messed up mine and another ladies orders (completely switched them). Got to my car and had to turn around and go back. Fries taste nasty even though I literally saw them make it. Not sure if they ever clean the deep fryers
Slow service with negative attitude. Messed up with orders and missing stuff in orders, when I require right orders, employees being rude and not listening.
Service is garbage, the restaurant is dirty all the time, and it takes at least half an hour to get your food. Employees don't know the menu most of the time too
Have never experienced a slower McDonald's in my life. It is actually faster to go to Crowfoot McDonald's and back in the time it takes for an order here. Please go elsewhere.
Second time I’ve been there and it took a ridiculous amount of time to get served. The staff were doing their best (felt bad for them) but there were only 2 people working.
Anticipate waiting at least 20 to 30 minutes for your food, and don't expect it to be fresh. Always understaffed and very poor service. I'm not sure if new ownership has taken over as of late but I will not be going back to this location.
I'm a regular customer for many years and I have always given this place a 4 star rating, but ever since the ownership change recently things have gone downhill dramatically. Always understaffed with 1 till open regardless if there are 10 customers waiting and some of the crew are clearly not trained and have no idea how to input a simple order. I came on a weekday ordering two Filet O Fish freshly fried which I have eaten regularly for many years, and they take about 5 min to fry. About 2 min later a nice lady supervisor brought the food to my table and needless to say the crust was all hard and filling only warm, clearly pre-made. I went to the counter and the owner's wife insisted that they were freshly fried, so I told the owner I have been eating freshly made filet for many years and know the difference right away. Instead of apologizing and remaking the order, he said "You assumed they were not freshly fried" Maybe it's just me but a new ownership probably shouldn't be talking down to customers. So anyway 3 min later the nice lady supervisor again brought two filet to me, this time they were a little hotter but still not freshly fried. As a test, later that evening I went to another McD in the surrounding neighborhood and ordered two freshly fried Filet, and when I got the food after 5 min, the crust was crispy and the filling hot, they way it should be. After being a regular here for so many years, due to the understaffing, rudeness and subpar quality food, I will not be back in the near future. The only reason I didn't give a 1 star was because of the friendly lady supervisor who is trying her best to do her job well.
Came around 11am on a weekday. Long wait for food. Cheeseburger was less than warm, stingy on the fries (amount of a small fries) in the poutine and BLT was missing the bacon and tomato. Also missing a fork for the poutine and had to go up to the counter again because they don't have cutlery at the self serve area. Another thing to note is that the woman with long blonde hair (assuming she might have been the manager maybe) wasn't wearing a hair net. No one that I could see actually was wearing a hair net and they deal with the food! Kind of gross. We noticed that they definitely seemed to not be able to keep up with all the orders and that there was a lot of people going up because their order was wrong or missing something.
Costumer service is very poor. They are very rude and blunt, the food can come out cold and soggy. During lunch hours it is chaotic and unorganized, you could be waiting for your fries for 40 minutes sometimes. Once while waiting for our food, the lights fell which is a hazard, there are flies where the ketchup is and it is very unsantized.
Great front cashier Asian young lady (Filipina) every Sunday when I go she’s very kind and fast with orders, wish the rest would help her out when line ups get backed up, over all good place
It's a McDonald's. Why are you even looking for a review? Nonetheless, great, central location. The menu is what you'd expect it to be in any case. Staff were prompt, efficient and pleasant. The wifi works just fine. Definitely could've been a lot neater than it was. Did not really like having to wipe lettuce off my seat.
January 26th 10: 15am. We normally try to avoid this location as the staff is usually very slow, quiet speaking, lack of good English and inaccurate orders. This morning there are two young girls and a young man working. They are efficient making accurate orders, clearly speaking English and can hear them. The young man working the counter is very good at his job, he's efficient and very friendly serving us with a smile.
The lobby is almost always dirty (not just left over food on the table, but the kind of mess that takes hours to accumulate), orders are commonly wrong or missing something. A few staff members are rude and are unaware of certain promotions going on. But, most of the time the food is decent for mcdonalds.
