I go to this location at least a couple of times a month because my young children love the playplace. However, slowly, the management has dropped the ball on pushing for cleanliness.
Over the last year almost every time I come I have to wipe my own table because it has been missed (often they don't check the play place tables.)
I can get over that as it sometimes happens, but as of late, my kids keep coming out of the playplace with dust and scum all over them or big clumps of random hair (see picture).
I am sorry, but especially as we go into cold and flu season, playplaces should be regularly cleaned. Having big balls of hair like that coming out of the place constantly tells me they are likely not even cleaned on a weekly basis. Unless this changes, we will be frequenting this place less regardless of how much my kids love going there.
This location is pretty consistent with food quality. It is a McDonald's which tells you what to expect. The staff have always been good. The two cheeseburger meal is not available anymore which is a bit disappointing.
One annoyance is the frequency at which they tell you to park out front when you go through the drive through. I don't mind if there is a car behind and there is a wait on something. When there is no other car in line and they ask you to park, it makes no sense and is just annoying. Probably something to do with gaming a statistic they have to keep or something.
Another annoyance is that they frequently don't ask for your rewards code. Tonight was one of those nights. I missed ordering an item on my first order and so went through the drive through a second time. I was not asked for my code either time through.
Staff are great, always quick. But, please fix your pop and ice machines! Getting a flat, luke warm diet coke with no ice is disgusting. And it happens all the time, and it's terrible!
Management or ownership at this place is clearly lacking. In the last year, it’s become more important that they clock you out of the pick up window without receiving your food so it looks like they’re doing a great job on paper. Waiting in the parking lot for 10 to 15 minutes for every single meal.
Eat in. Wednesday around 10 pm. Fries were hot but I had to ask for them after seeing the order board get cleared and the staff standing around and chatting, oblivious to the people still waiting for food. I've worked in fast food. People waiting at the counter and a clear order monitor is a red flag that something is amiss. The crew was either without a manager or poorly managed as they seemed more interested in socializing. I don't have a problem with this, work should be fun, but not at the expense of service.
We always have a great experience at this McDonalds. The play place is a must for my children. The tables needed to be cleaned however I know that the patrons could also do a better job with cleaning up after themselves. Thanks McDonalds!
Let me start by saying i’ve never rated anything before … that being said, i ordered a big mac combo the burger was as to be expected, the fries were cold and slightly under cooked, their was no ketchup in the dispenser or cups for ketchup …. Both ice machine are not working …. And the diet pop (coke) is flat! Oh last month when i came the ice machine wasn’t working their was no ketchup in the pump dispenser and the diet coke was flat ……. I would have mentioned it to the manager but no one pays attention when you stand there waiting.not happy
This was the poorest service I've ever experienced at a McDonald's. The staff were walking around calling each other out on tasks needing to be performed, while not seeming to be doing anything themselves. There was a clear lack of direction and management of the staff which showed in the multiple issues the facility was experiencing.
It's McDonald's, I'm not going to review the food. The whole franchise is built around repeatable processing of fast food. They couldn't even get that right.
Usually always has error in order and insists you park every single time for drive thru orders.this location should rename to slow food! So unfriendly as well.it's actually painful to go this McDs
Ordered from this McDonald’s through skip tonight. They missed BOTH patties on my Big Mac, my nuggets were rock hard and it took almost 2 hours to get here and then didn’t even answer their phones. Ridiculous
These guys are constantly screwing up the orders. We have had so many screwed up orders and bad service. We have had spicy nuggets when we ordered normal. No sauce when we asked for plum. A missing burger when we ordered and paid for one. Honestly, do yourself a favor and go to another McDonald's or swear off fast food.
Generations of local kids are given employment opportunities and brought into the workforce by this establishment. I have been very impressed by their efforts, from late night to early morning.
This location has alot of young people working here they are very polite but the managers treat the staff horrible. If they didn't yell at the staff maybe the food would be cooked. Someone needs to review the people in charge.
Back in the day if McDonald's had you drive to the front and wait for an order it was free. This has now become edmonton trails procedure. Literally ever order just one meal. Have to wait out front for a big mack meal and coke (Every single time I come here). To boot. I'm usually the only vehicle is the drive through.
Literally the worst McDonald's ever, out of Airdrie and Calgary! Supper time and we waited at speaker for over 8min then got to window and asked for a manager and got told 1 order taker went to bathroom, I've worked fast food and I know the manager should of jumped in then, she was rude and just said sorry for wait No compensation nothing! Never going to this one again
Waited in the drive through while watching them serve vehicles that came in after me in the other lane. Also took 20 to get a chick Mcmuffin. Brutal service
I ordered 2 breakfast sandwiches without the bun. They put the cheese first. Then the sausage on top. The cheese melted to the container. How difficult would it be to put the meat down first.
Terrible service. They need to hire better staff, more mature. Had us pull around to wait for 3 milk shakes and waited 16 minutes. Also poor quality food. Maybe add more than one small pickle of the burgers too
Almost always have to park and wait for food, even when not busy and not ordering a large amount. Also, if you’re going to charge for condiments, you should probably start putting them in the bag.
I believe every time I've been through this drive thru, which is more often than I'd care to admit, they have asked me to pull around front while they get the food ready. Even when my order consisted of an order of fries. 5 minutes later I was still waiting!
Had a conversation with one of your manager named Ashpret. She is doing great job, she managed her team greatly. We are thankful to her for giving us good experience. She was loud, managing as a leader, talking to one and one person what they waiting on and then communicating and support her team to get food out. You guys should appreciate these people. She deserves raise. Good job.
For the last five years that iv tried to go here they have always messed up something in my order, not to mention the countless times you go in the am for a hot chocolate and the machine is down. I highly recommend you go to one of the other ones.
It would seem this is a trend with this location? I also got a chicken snack wrap, hold the chicken.but I didn't ask for that Everyone in Airdrie should go to one of the other locations
I don't know what's going on with these drive thrus. Ordered a cheeseburger okay, 6 pack nuggets with dip, small fries and a root beer. Paid didn't look in bag, that was a mistake. No dip for nuggets no straw for pop and apparently you have to ask for a packet of ketchup or you get none. It's the little things that make a difference and attention to detail. This Macdonalds doesn't give a toss about either. Macdonalds must be trying to save money by not giving out these small items.
Gone here a couple times. The worst service I have ever witnessed. Staff is rude, unorganized, and mostly likely don’t know what’s going on. Ordered food for my kids, nugget happy meals, received enough fries to feed a mouse and no nuggets, had to drive back and have them remake the whole order, also ordered 7 drinks and received no straw so I’m assuming they expect people to look at their cokes and not actually drink them. Would not recommend at all Corporate also does not care much at all as they were no help when we were cussed out in the drive thru by an employee for no reason other than ordering food.
Typical McDonald's experience, one way street was a bit confusing to get to drive through, fast friendly service, coffee was great, mcflurries were extra good as were the chicken nuggets
Staff are not trained properly. Managers are rude to staff. They prioritize drive thru so much they dont care about walk in customers. You can wait a long time for orders when ordering inside. Drive-thru times are usually good.
The worst location. Love the staff, truly dislike how it is organized. Always sent to wait outfront for food, every car is there and the orders get confused and just about everytime my order is messed up or missing something. And yet. I still go because it's easy access to the highway.
After a recent experience through the drive thru, I had to question the reason for being asked to drive around the front to wait for the order. (I purchased 2 coffees, 3 cheeseburgers and a large fry.) Not much and the girl was already out of the building almost as soon as I parked. Quick service yes but strongly the fries were luke warm. I just thought it was strange to be rushed through the line and ultimately receive something I didn't enjoy (actually didn't finish)
Went inside to order food since the drive through was backed up and waited 20 minutes for a big Mac and 1/4pounder meal. Half of the order was bagged before they realized the ran out of fries so the food sat in the bag for 7 minutes before the new fries arrived. Needless to say by the time i left the burgers were cold and disgusting when i got home.my dog didn't even want to eat them and I've seen him eat poop! Terrible experience especially since I saw all of the cars that were in the drive through go by with the addition of about 5 new ones while I stood there waiting.
No straws, put mustard when I told them not to, asked for ketchup and didn't give me any. I was asked to wait on the reserved spot to wait for my order, had no time to go and talk to them inside.
Horribly disgusting. Food everywhere. The new play place is covered in dirt. Looks like the owner paid to renovate the entire store but then fire whoever is supposed to keep it clean. Won't be returning.
This rating is for the cleanliness of the location. Beverage area was an absolute mess, soda spilled throughout the surface. No Catchup in the dispensers, catchup bag in the open on the counter. We were in the store for 30min and it was never cleaned. Men's restroom a mess. No soap in the dispenser. Water all over the vanity. No garbage bag in the container. Urinals looked as though they had not been cleaned all day. This is very disappointing to see as it was a recently renovated. It is a shame that management and staff do not appreciate the workspace they have. Likely will not be back anytime soon. I'd attach the pictures I took, if I could.
Remember when Macdonald's used to be fast food? I can't understand how it takes 10 minutes to get a happy meal with a hamburger and fries plus another cheeseburger. They used to be able to get that to me in barely over a minute.
I stop at this location 5+ time per week, usually before work for a coffee, sometimes late evenings for dinner. They're CONSTANTLY out of certain items. Consistently.atleast half the week. Specifically peppermint hot chocolate, and ingredients to make their specialty chicken sandwiches. This location is also closed randomly certain days/nights without warning. Seems to me like they could use a revamp on a management level. Seriously considering driving past this location to the other side of airdrie just to deal with a McDonalds that's more consistent.
We came to eat breakfast 2 Sausage egg McMuffin combos with vanilla lattes at 10: 55 am 12/07/18. We requested Fries with no salt. Simple right? Not only it took them until 11: 20 after three times to get the fries right, but they didn’t have lattes do to machine not working “again”. I had to tell The expeditor how to clean the fry station, because even though the mgr in charge was right there she didn’t correct him or tell him that I was waiting. She had taken our order in the first place then said to her staff “It seems like I’m running like a chicken with my head cut off” meanwhile they had lost order 270. My sandwich was getting cold at the table and I was still waiting for my second coffee that I still had to buy #272. The mgr come to give me change back for one coffee when I needed two hot drinks & she said “well, is all I can do” Didn’t I had two hot drinks? These is a regular excuse here, it was supposed to be a stayed order, but they packed it to go? Expect to be disappointed at this food joint.
Sadly the drive through service here is getting so slow over the last couple that they might as well fence it off and have people come inside. I up until 2 years ago I was a die hard Tim Hortons fan. (McDonalds coffee converted me) But the drive through is sooooooo slow at this location (which is just blocks from my house) that i’m Considering a return to Tim’s. ITS REALLY BAD!
Drive thru very slow. When we finally got our items, we asked for ketchup when the rude staff member rolled her eyes at us and said it was already in the bag as she handed some over. It wasn't in the bag, nor was our actual order.
15 minutes to get a coffee and a hash brown, and the staff still screwed up my coffee order. I understand most of the staff are new hires by the looks of it, but that is still not acceptable. Not likely to visit this location again. At least the facility itself is relatively clean.
Last two times we have gone here, it's been horrible service (rude people who didn't look like they wanted to be there), and not at all what we ordered. When someone asks for something to be left off of your sandwich, you treat it as though this person is deathly allergic.
