Can't seem to get it right, had to go back in multiple times to get the extra onions I paid for.gave up the before going in a third for the same request.they're not even trying.
Their own manager got our order wrong and didn't even offer a discount or offer anything. Just said "oh I heard something else" we had to wait longer for our food and still didn't offer anything for his mistake. I mean it's easy to offer an apple pie or a discount even though it's small it's just a jester of kindness. Places like this need, that are huge in their own rights, need people who can make sure customers come back. Not act like it was our fault. He heard our order wrong. Anyways, poor service and if the manager acts this way it's hard to believe how the regular workers are.
Food is fine but PLEASE learn how to make coffee orders correctly. Every single coffee order I've placed at this location is wrong. Double double? Coffee with cream THREE TIMES. Mocha? Latte, again three times. Vanilla Latte? Cappuccino. I ordered a Peppermint Mocha today and do you know what I got? A LATTE. If I wanted a Latte, I'd ask for one.
I was born in Calgary and have always lived in the northwest. I have been going to Northland McDonald’s for as long as I can remember. Recently I have had a bad experience going there and I am surprised because the last time I was there for breakfast I was greeted at drive thru by a really nice person who even asked me about how my morning was going. Fast forward a few days later me and my boyfriend wanted a late night snack. We ordered 2 ice creams, a junior chicken burger, fries and also some drinks. We got our order as usual and drove away while eating our ice creams first. We live in Edgemont which is like 3-5 mins away. So when we got home and open the bags everything was extremely cold, we have ordered food from that location many times and most of the time we get issues here and there like missing items and half cold food which we never bother complaining about. But today the food was stone cold and with the way prices are these days I wasn’t willing to let it go. So we drove back and asked if we could get a new burger and the girl at the window said to drive up and wait at the next window. We waited and a man came to the window saying next time we want hot food ask for them to microwave instead. I was not too sure about this comment and then my boyfriend said to check to see if the burger was warm enough. I felt it and the wrapping was hot so we thought we were good to go. Now we drive all the way back home again and I open my burger and take a bite and it tasted way off. I open it up and I realize the guy actually microwaved our burger instead of just make a brand new one. At this point I’m furious and I tell my boyfriend we are going back because it’s ridiculous to me why I would want a microwaved burger that’s supposed to have fresh lettuce and cold mayonnaise on it. Not only that he microwaved it for way too long. Look at the photo the chicken was soggy from the heat. So we went back again and they were even ruder the second time. The girl at the window ignored us at first and then she said “do you have a problem again” in a rude tone and we explained why we were upset especially when we had to drive back so many times. She said nothing and then called the other guy who was rude to us in the first place and he basically refused us a new burger. He said that we were gone for 30 mins and I said yes because we had to drive back and forth to this location to complain. And he said that I should have checked the burger inside and out. Honestly this is the dumbest thing I have heard. I always check my order to see if I’m missing food or got the wrong order but APPARENTLY you have to check your burger on the inside at a drive thru to make sure they don’t totally ruin your order. Absolutely ridiculous, like no just get my order right the first time. This guy actually argued with me and gave us no burger and we also lost our fries that we didn’t eat. I know what most be people are thinking it’s just McDonald’s but like all he had to do was make a new burger not microwave it. Through out the whole fiasco we were polite and cordial until the 3rd time around I did get upset but didn’t say anything rude just that what they did wasn’t right. My boyfriend was calm and still collected through the whole thing. There was absolutely nobody in line either so for them to complain about making one burger. It may just be fast food but we paid money for a service and got no service whatsoever. Treat others with respect and kindness that’s all. It doesn’t matter what your job is or even your wage just be nice, it’s really that simple.
Ordered Strawberry pie got Apple pie no idea how they can mess that up. There was also no time sticker on the box so it is unknown how long the pies were sitting in there for. Very disappointed.
They won't let you in for ordering take-out without proof of vaccination (Alberta bylaw states for dine in to show proof not take-out). I've had no problem getting in until earlier this week. Every other McDonald's I've been in since don't ask. At this location, none of their workers are wearing masks either.
Only writing a review because why does your employees NOT wear gloves when making the food? I find it pretty gross. I been to other McDonald’s and they wear gloves except for this location.
Was relatively quick for the limited amount of staff they had working and the food was hot and fresh which is much better then expected at 10pm. If they would have gave me my special order Big Mac instead of just a regular Big Mac and a fork for my poutine, it would have been a perfect visit.
Asked for the new spicy nuggets. Was given regular. Was charged extra. The manager said they didn't have spicy. No receipt in bag. Then they begged me to come back for new ones (which he had said they didn't have). Terrible management. I normally get the chicken McMuffins, they don't add an absurd amount of sauce like other places, they add literally a drop of sauce. Anything to cheap out
I have stopped to get my order, I was driving for skip the dishes at the time. I craved a tea, and the manager just offered it free for me. And they were very friendly.
Drive thru always busy but the staff organized and Professional they always make things happen quickly to fill orders on time for everyone its awesome!
Hit and miss on service, manager will blame skip drivers if items are missing. (completely unprofessional by all standards.) I've had them miss items while ordering from skip or in person.the window attendants and counter attendants are usually supper friendly and will double check your order before putting it through.managers just seem to care less. 5 stars for employees. 2 stars for unprofessional management.
Not my go. To MacDonald's, even though it is so close to where I reside. They have messed up my drive-though order numerous times. We get home and try to call, this has happened 2 times now; we call and and someone tells us to come back to the drive-though saying they will replace the order. Once we get there we are treated with nothing but disrespect. Please check your bags before you leave
The quality is great as always, being a McDonald's and all. However I'm reviewing this restaurant because the workers went above and beyond what was expected of them. I spilled all of my fries on the floor by accident and they gave me new ones. I asked for a large vanilla cone but they only have one size, but they made it larger for me. I couldn't be happier with this place.
Utilizing the Mobile App for orders is great, though, the drive thru seems to move quicker than the mobile order. This location could use an extra mobile pick up stall as well.
Always waiting for food, usually in reserve or window 2 while everyone drives on by. Not even a big or complicated order but it happens aaaaaaallllll the time. I'll be thanking them in a couple years for better health, I won't eat here if it's not "fast"
I am so tired of the people taking orders at the drive through not getting the order right. They don't pay attention. Talk when you're talking. Most of them cannot understand basic English. Sigh! And they get $15 an hour! Downright ridiculous. The Manager and or the owner need to smarten up.
Ordered tonight and the skip driver had the wrong order.with 2 receipts on it so no wonder the order was mixed up. Reordered.and they forgot the mcflurries. Absolutely annoyed and sad.
Drive through service was efficient though the microphone needs to be enhanced to enable the order taking process seamless and easy. I tried ordering donuts and it took three employees to decode I what I said because they couldn't hear clearly.
My experience with this location is they always forget something in my order. Last time they forgot to put fries in my order. Love their spicy chicken. Customer service is pretty good as well.
When I was there they were washing the floors I almost fell 4 times as walking with a cane due to a fractured ankle they put TOO MUCH WATER ON THE FLOOR must be IDIOTS
I was served my meal in a paper bag used by a previous customer during Covid (drive-thru: found the old receipt, plus the employee admitted to it). My dealings with McD's employee and management were unpleasant, with one exception. Contacted AHS. The employee still works here.
Always make my coffee wrong and on top, they need headphone system for their employees so we as a customer can talk if weather is bad also they have to cover the top of the drive-thru window. Hate when water drops inside.
I just got off the phone with the most awfully rude man.
My nuggets were old and my burger was missing onions - everything else was fine. I had to repeat my order 4 times, no word of a lie - 4 times. As I explained what was wrong, the man also felt the need to tell me it wasn’t his fault he just started. Okay? He said he would put my name in the book and they would replace the nugget meal, I said I didn’t get a nugget meal, just the nuggets, and repeated my order. Then he accused me of lying about my chicken nuggets, saying I just told him “i never got them” What? I never said I didn’t get them, I said they were cold and old, dry, I ate 2 and left the remainder. I told him it’s not ok to speak to me that way and I would be calling the next morning to speak with a manager.
I would be placing this in the Mcdonalds online complaint website but the staff neglected to give me a receipt - so I will messaging Mcdonalds on all Social platforms to make my complaint, as well as emailing the customer service line.
CHECK YOUR ORDERS before leaving. We go here often because this is the closest Mc Donald's near our house. Not sure what happened to the management and staffing. They get our orders wrong every single time! We ordered apple slices for the kids they always gave us fries! And poutine comes without fork.
The food is standard McDonald's food and never had an order wrong, but the two lanes into one lane drive thru simply does not work here. The response time to either side is random and inconsistent, not favored one side or the other, but random. I have see two cars go thru one side before anyone saying hello on the other side more than once no matter where I line up. Then line ups are random in pace, some days long and super slow, other days quick and efficient and time of day never a factor you can bet on. Should go back to one lane drive thru.
Drive thru mobile order was for 3 McGriddles and got 3 McMuffins. Vastly different price and nutrition information, as a cost concerned diabetic this is actually a big deal; 30 carb difference in my order, and the price is almost a free sandwich. Not impressed, this is not the first time this location has gotten an order wrong. Tried to “contact us” online which after 5 minutes of fiddly nonsense it won’t accept my order number to make a formal complaint, wasting more of my time.
Burgers and firies are always good. I particularly appreciate their effort to follow the social distancing and effort to clean tables after each use during the Covid19.
A slow, disorganized mess. Going inside, there's no clear single line to order from, so multiple lines ends up forming and merging.
While I waited ~10 minutes to order, the number of mistakes I saw was comical. At least 4 separate customers had errors that they caught before they left. This is roughly in line with the other times that I've been here.
Don't come here if you're in a hurry, and double check your order before you leave.
Usually good and friendly place, however there were no more monopoly with both my 10 piece chicken nuggets and my large drink and took fairly long today.
I've been to many McDonald's, but I would avoid this one if you ever want to get your curbside order. Going in is OK, but here's my experience:
Aug 13: 2 Breakfast Burritos + Coffee: Waited 30 minutes Aug 15: Large coke: Waited 30 minutes (they comped me with 2 apple pies, but why did it take that long for a cup?) Aug 22: Vanilla Cone and Blueberry Pomegranate Smoothie: Waited 45 minutes, completely lost my order yet I was charged. (Comped with a medium rather than small smoothie)
The one in Crowfoot NEVER gets my order wrong and everything comes out in less than 5 minutes. Poor service overall.
