Kind of all over. Went Sat at 5: 30, order was short sauce x 2 for nuggets, and Quarter cheese was not in bag. Went back Sun around 11 with receipt, and did receive missing items without any issue. I did notice both days ordering at counter, that it seemed disorganised. Counter person running around doing a bit of everything, while people waiting at counter. Perhaps a little understaffed?
McDonalds as a company I would recommend, fast food, something quick & easy but this specific location I would not recommend. The service & the food is always sloppy. The wait times & then amount of times I have lost money from them getting my order wrong is crazy. Unfortunately this is the closest McDonalds to me but I regret going there almost every time.
I see why this place only has three stars. We ordered two McFlurrys and waited over 15mins while at least three people, some families with full meals, all got their food before us. I was excited to have the new COOKIE Confetti McFlurry! It was busy, so I understood. But when we got out McFlurrys. No exaggeration. I got THREE pieces of cookie in the whole thing! Three. The whole thing! It was basically like having vanilla ice cream with sprinkles. Very disappointing. Especially after waiting. The other one had maybe 4 or 5 cookies. Still a waste. I wanted to say something but since it took so long I didn't want to wait again trying to correct it.
So this was the first time walking into the south red deer mcdonalds. Since I was last here it was remodeled like some other stores. Quite honely. Couches' open spaces etc. Gone is the old Squamish metal based tables that we all remember. This visit was just for 2 large cokes for pur drive home. Wife got them quickly, filled them and we were on our way. No complaints.
(2021) This is the WORST McDonald ever. The manager Marie runs a circus show and so noisy! No wonder they missed the lettuce in my BLT. Why don't they focus on serving the customers first before horsing around. The bad manager is teaching the young staff working there how to be unprofessional.
(2023) Well this place has shown improvement since my last review. I see the staff and management has changed. They haven't messed up my order yet since 2021. Hope it keeps getting better.
30 minutes for an incorrect order (10 nuggets, a quarter pounder, and a Caesar wrap - Caesar wrap was made incorrectly and they didn’t give us any of our sauces). A guy had been waiting 25 minutes for one coffee. No napkins in the building - had to use toilet paper to clean our kids hands. Third time we’ve been let down by McDonald’s. I think we’re done for a while with this company. We’ll give our money to another company until McDonald’s can prove they care.
Got chicken nuggets from here and they were not fresh at all.give them a call to let them know about the food even Drive back from home to show the staff that they gave us a food which was not fresh. There was not any apology at first when we reach at the window. Staff (Anmol) was very rude and said customer have to let us know that they want the fresh food, only then they can cook the fresh ones.
Why is this location always so dirty? Went in there and there was garbage all over the floor, not a single clean table and the pop area was disgusting.
Pre ordered through their app, and then waited OVER 15 minutes to get our order. Not enough staff working as about 90% of the staff that was working were too busy catering to the drive thru! Inside customers are just as important! An elderly gentleman, who had already ordered in person as I was ordering thru my app, waited even longer than I did, and he was only having a coffee! How long does it take to pour a cup of coffee? Very very poor customer service!
For the 3rd time in a row I have been given pretty much just coloured water instead of coke, I'm honestly tired of all the little mistakes they keep making. I'm no longer visiting this location and I recommend you don't as well.
Been sitting in the lineup for 30 minutes at 12: 35 am friday night. Never have I seen a McDonalds where I had to be in the lineup for longer than 7 minutes regardless of the day or time. This is pathetic. Only 5 cars were in front when we got here.
We stopped there because apparently they were supposed to have better coffee than Timmy's. And they very well could but i wouldn't know because they didn't even stir the coffee so my friend thought it was the grossest coffee ever until he got to the bottom where all the sugar was
Wait times are atrocious took 20 mins just to get food.and guess what it was wrong. Had to wait another 10 mins for someone to acknowledge I was standing there after saying excuse me very loudly. Watched 4 people leave because no one was manning the tills. Was very disappointed as to what service we get for $15 an hour wages now a days.
The worst McDonalds in central Alberta. Half my order was wrong and when I called to possibly fix it or get a refund. I was hung up on the first time before I could even say anything and the second time the lady was extremely rude. Not willing to help fix their mistakes. She told me I can’t get a refund or the proper food. However she told me I could always order again and then they “might” get my order right. Absolutely horrible service when I was there. Go somewhere else this place isn’t worth your money.
I don’t know why I always come back here since all the time my experience here has been terrible. Everytime my fries is always under bag. I’m paying for medium but get small or even the mini.
Manager is Rude, unorganized. I don't have his name but he was medium build, bald guy with blue/gray eyes looks like on his 40s. It was right around 4pm. (edited: managers name is Jordan, got his name from a crew,) Here is the whole story: I went to the drive thru ordered 3 jr.chickens no sauce, 1 hamburger, 1 quarter pounder meal and 1 (10pc) chicken nugget meal. We where told to park and wait due to the quarter pounder not being ready. After about 10min and watching around 7-8 other customers receive their orders I went in to the restaurant to see what the issue was. I was told they had to remake the jr.chickens because they accidentally put sauce on. I then went back to my vehicle and waited approximately 5 more minutes (again watching multiple cars get their orders). I went back into the restaurant again only to be told by the manager that there are no fries ready! This confused me because surely within the 15minutes of waiting they should have made some fries. (Everyone else who ordered after me received their fries on time.) The manager was rude and extremely short with me. I then went back out to my vehicle again to wait approximately 2-3 more minutes. I had 3 impatient kids in the car. And to top it all off the quarter pounder and hamburger where COLD now, probably because they where made 15mins earlier than everything else. Totally a bad experience, the worst food service I ever had. The manager needs to be retrain for proper management.
Would give no stars if I could. Every time I’ve come here my order is messed up they really need to work on their order accuracy. I placed an order today my food was not fresh my dad received the wrong burger and there was a hair in my chicken nuggets disgusting.
The fellow was very polite when closing area I was in. No wifi from curb. That's a big deal for me. Many Macdonalds are doing this so I go to Wendy's or A & W. It makes a difference to my restaurant choice.
A couple days ago my boyfriend and I went there and they missed a couple things from our order. It happens so we didn’t bother with it. Today we went there on my way to work and I ordered hotcakes. When I went to go eat them (work is 2 minutes not even from this location) the hotcakes were rock hard. I tried to reheat them to see if that made a difference but nope. They were solid, not edible. This location used to be the best location to go to but now it’s just terrible everytime I go. These are just two incidents out of many from this location in the past couple of months.
Three times the morning shift drive thru missed an order and I had to circle back for it. The shift manager, Marie, on one occasion instead of apologizing for their lapse just gave the missing item, turned around and laughed loudly in front of her staff. The staff seemed anxious about their mistake but this manager is not only unprofessional but is also rude. On another occasion Marie gave me the missing order but angrily accused me of not ordering it in the first place. Advice to you guys is to always get the receipt so that you can show it in this manager's face every time they miss an order. Avoid this store if you can.
The worst McDonald in town. Get my order wrong 3 in a row. I don’t usually care when things happen like this but 3 in a row is unbelievable. That’s why I have to come back 3 times is to pick my order from a previous wrong order and still wrong orders. Won’t go there again.
We went through the drive-through placed our order as simple as we could make it by number drove through pulled over in an area to enjoy it and of course Wrong items.not worth going back and getting in line but hey third time it’s happened here so I guess it’s time for us to find a different location
I went to this location on March 3 as well as March 5, both times were not busy in drive thru but we were asked to pull over and park for 2 drinks, both times. I hadn't noticed until the second time but we were over charged both times! I called and the woman said that she would talk to the manager about it so it won't happen again.really!? !? ! I will not be going back to this location. Horrible service!
Service is unpredictable. Just attempted to go through their drive thru and they took orders from one line, but not ours. I even asked if I could order and they bypassed us. Eventually they asked what we wanted, but I decided they wouldn’t be getting my order and just drove next door to Wendy’s.
I entered a mobile order through the My McDs app and went to pick it up after work at 3: 15 a.m. Both Lanes of the Drive Through were blocked off with Yellow Crates. I wanted my Nugs so I went to investigate and an employee was sitting in the restaurant picking at her nails and completely ignoring me.
This is second time in last few months i have stopped for breakfast and both were a failure. 1time my order was accidentally cancelled or picked up by someone.i waited quite awhile before speaking up amd they had redo it.yesterday they forgot my hot choclate for my granddaughter and said they would bring it out. 10 minutes later i went to the counter amd she said sorry i forgot.we are very busy
Bothered me to see teenagers come in with own cups from previous days fill up and leave.they.i noticed waited outside till many inside.then made. Their move. 4 girls 1 male. Thieves
Really poor service every time I go. Employees are rude, ignorant and always get my order wrong. I keep thinking next time it'll be different but nothing changes. Worst McDonalds in RD.
I've had multiple orders messed up when I have come through the drive through. Very Friendly staff but maybe try to be more cautious when bagging food.
They might forget a straw or cutlery sometimes, but that's a small thing and easily fixed. Now, there is the occasional instance when a good item is forgotten, but I find this to be during busy hours only. That's understandable, give they're only human and that must be confusing and exhausting. I understand not everyone is the forgiving type, but I am. So my advice then should be to check your bags first, and let them know if they've forgotten anything.
Now, besides this inconvenience I've had good fun ordering their food. Is it healthy? No, not quite. But it's fun, delicious (I'd say), and I'm never looking for healthy when I eat out, just delicious fun. Be it a refreshing root beer, a nice fudge sundae, or a pleasant box of chicken nuggets, I'd say they have this is spades.
I wouldn’t give even 1 star to this place because of the main manager who works there. His name is Oleg. He’s ashamed of all Ukrainians. Nothing to be proud of.
I eat at McDonald's often. I've been to all the locations in Red Deer many times. This location is terrible! The staff and careless and unapologetic. All they care about is short drivetru times. They are so rude when they mess up! Today they asked me to pull into the waiting spot, there were four other cars waiting for their food. Once my food came, they were missing burgers, my fries were only half full and cold and there were no napkins or straws in the bag. I had to yell to get there attention after having to go into the store to correct the mistakes. The lady ignored me asking nicely for help a dozen times. Once she couldn't ignore me anymore and I told her what was wrong she accused me of lying! She went back and looked up my order and their cameras to see if I took the food out of the bag! So rude! Never even apologized.
They forgot my burgers after repeating my order 3 times and tried to say i didnt order them when i got home and called them to say they messed the order up. Psa Check your bag before you leave lol
The drive thru often has waits in excess of 10 minutes after ordering and paying. My wife once had to wait for over half an hour because her order was brought out with incorrect or missing items three times.
If I could actually give a 0 star I would. Every single time I come to this mcdonalds I have nothing but issues. I ordered a double quarter BLT meal large fries medium Sprite. I got to the window and she said double quarter pounder meal? I said no, It's a double quarter blt meal. She said okay. I get home and it's a single quarter pounder BLt. Glad I payed for a double though and of course, no receipt. Go to the McDonalds downtown if you want anything close to what you order. Absolute garbage any time of the day with this McDonalds. And then to top it all off I called when I get home and the phones dont work. Phenomenal. Glad we raised minimum wage. Get your stuff together.
Rude incompetent employees, something is ALWAYS wrong or missing, service is super slow and always ask you to park yet somehow the food still tastes 5 days old.
